Had a delicious Christmas brunch. Lots of choice, nice atmosphere and friendly service!

Wat een fijn restaurant is dit. De sfeer, de aandacht, de menukaart en erg goed eten. Al vaak hier geweest en het is altijd fantastisch. Hier heb je echt contact met de bediening en het hoofdgerecht komt op warme boren. De Pinot Grigio is ook zeer aan te bevelen. Weer een topavond gehad.

Slow service we spent two hours here to eat a 5 minute meal, food quality was very poor for the price. I wouldn't not recommend this restaurant

Neat restaurant with parking, well-prepared meals and friendly service, fair prices, really something to come back for.

Very nice place to sit and enjoy the boats passing by. Service attentive and very smooth. Lunch was also excellent, sandwich board for the wife and 2 slices of white bread with a delicious meatball for me👍👍. Also price-wise very good.

Had a very tasty chicken thigh stew!!

There were two of us, one lady sat alone behind us and had the same amount of food. I ordered a coke and was served two, well that's fine. Later she asked if we liked it, we thought it was very little for two. Well, she said, if we both had a sorbet we would get a little discount. Which was also little. We were never asked if we wanted more food. So we found it so very expensive.

The food was delicious, but we thought the wow factor had disappeared. We thought the price ratio to what you get was skewed. What 1 person gets in vegetables and potatoes is also exactly the same amount for 2 people. Foreign. Operation nice! But next time we'll go elsewhere. In response to your answer: we reported that it was disappointing with on-site service. It remains strange that 1 person gets the same as 2 people. It should have been mentioned that more could be had for the same money.

Delicious food with nice portions.

What a good surprise. You don't care much about it on the outside, but this is more than compensated for in quality and friendliness on the inside. The food was very tasty and well prepared with various vegetables and wonderfully seasoned. No extra salt or pepper needed. The friendly and attentive service makes it complete. It was also no problem when we called late to ask whether we could still join. Perfect for us, see you next time!

Had dinner here with my mother due her birthday I picked the daily menu. This was a schnitzel with some very good tasting side dishes. Friendly staff,menu was more than sufficient so unfortunately no place for dessert. Ate here yesterday with my mother for her birthday. Had the daily menu. Tasty schnitzel beautifully prepared with fries, fresh salad, potato slices and rhubarb. More than enough so no room for dessert. Everything was fine.

Vandaag de lunchproeverij genomen. Een heerlijk soepje, lekkere salade en een gewoon witte boterham met kroket. Zo verrassend.

Heerlijk eten met vriendelijke bediening tegen redelijke prijs. Wat wil je nog meer? Aanrader de goulash. Uitgebreid verse groente is extra plus.

Zeer gezellig restaurant en erg goed eten. Rene (eigenaar) is gastvrij en geeft je een welkom gevoel!

Meerdere keren geweest en het is altijd druk. Ik snap ook waarom want het eten en service zijn echt top. We komen hier graag.

De musical "deTocht" was de reden om een weekendje hier te overnachten. De gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid van de eigenaren en bediening waren echt top. We hebben 2x heel lekker gegeten en het ontbijt was ook meer dan voldoende en goed. Kamers waren schoon en wat gehorig , en het toilet en douche was gemeenschappelijk op de gang. Dit was bij het boeken aangegeven en wij hadden/hebben daar geen probleem mee. Nogmaals bedankt voor de gezelligheid en de goede zorgen. Groetjes uit Veenendaal

Wat kun je hier heerlijk lunchen! Ik had de geitenkaas salade, een van de lekkerste die ik ooit heb gegeten. De anderen hadden de hamburger, broodje carpaccio en broodje zalm; zij waren ook erg enthousiast. Aanrader dus!

We hebben heerlijk gegeten vlotte bediening! We moesten met de trein mee! Heerlijk Grolsch bokbiertje!

Prachtig gezellig restaurant. Wel reserveren. Eten is heerlijk en wordt echt warm opgediend. Vriendelijke bediening . We komen hier elk jaar met het Jupiter handbaltoernooi eten met veel plezier. Ga zo door. De foto's spreken voor zich. Zeker die van de malse biefstuk.

Zonder meer goed en zeker goed voor wie er met een grote honger aankomt en van grote porties houdt.

Zeer vriendelijke medewerkers met verstand van zaken. Het eten smaakt goed, erg grote porties. Het is hier altijd druk, veel locale bezoekers maar ook toeristen en groepen weten de Poort van Franeker te vinden.

Sehr schöne Lokalität in super Lage direkt am Kanal. Das Essen ist super und nicht zu teuer. Der Chef ist super nett und gut drauf,das selbe gilt für das Personal. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Afgelopen weekend weer eens in Franeker neergestreken. Ik had mazzel; het weer zat mee en ik heb in de middag het Planetarium bezocht. Een "fantastisch" vegetarisch gerecht gegeten bij de poort van Franeker. 's-Avonds "per ongeluk" terecht gekomen in een stadswandeling; écht een aanrader. Goed geslapen bij de poort van Franeker en verwend met een heerlijk ontbijt.

Altijd vriendelijk en gastvrij. Eten is van zeer goede kwaliteit.
