Had a delicious meal! Very friendly staff and good food!

Friendly service. There were five of us; two of us had the surf and turf steak. We weren't asked how we wanted our steak cooked. One came medium-rare and the other well done. The fried liver was really great 👍

A perfect score; various vegetables were served with the dishes, the service was top-notch, the food was top-notch.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Even our 2 daughters ate quite a bit (and that is quite a challenge when the food is 'different' from home). Both girls were also completely happy with their Paw Patrol cups. And I am very happy with the vegetarian version of mustard soup too. Keep up the good work!

Worth a visit. The food was delicious. The staff were incredibly nice, open, friendly, and always had a smile on their faces. Despite some minor communication difficulties, as we only speak German or English, everything worked out. Definitely worth a visit.

Pleasant spot, between the station and the center of Franeker, with a view of the water, the boats, and a drawbridge. Nice, no-nonsense menu, friendly service.

We were pleasantly surprised by the side dishes. Fries, gratin, cold pasta salad, and warm vegetables consisting of broccoli and cauliflower. And a good rack of ribs with peppercorn sauce to go with it. Excellent.

We had dinner as a group of four before going to a lecture. Surprising menu: steak with salmon, plaice fillet with salmon... good food with various side dishes. The sorbet was delicious. Worth repeating. The company certainly helps, but when you have a pleasant atmosphere and good food, that makes it an extra plus.

Service mediocre. Ordered brown bread, got white bread. Asked if they had fresh orange juice. They did. They brought a small bottle and that's how they always do it, was the explanation. Schnitzel too thin. I was eating more breadcrumbs than meat.

An excellent experience, with both a fully catered buffet for over 20 people on-site and a birthday party for over 60 people at the venue in Franeker. Everything was perfectly taken care of, including overnight accommodation for a number of guests, and top-notch service.

As the only couple on the terrace, it took a very long time before we were even noticed. It turned out our lunch order hadn't been placed. Lunch was delicious, though, and we were given a free drink for the inconvenience.

We had a delicious meal. A lovely streetside terrace with a view of the bridge. The interior is simply decorated. The staff is very friendly, the service is quick, and the food is reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on the menu. The main courses are served with a wide selection of side dishes. Parking is available next to the restaurant.

I have been to this restaurant twice, last time for dinner and today for lunch. I am qualified to comment that this incident is not accidental. First of all, the food in this restaurant is OK. That is the reason I went there the second time, hoping that they would prove to me that the first experience was accidental, but the answer is the same! It is not an exaggeration to call this restaurant a "Black Shop": 1) They will ask you to order drinks first 2) Drinks are delivered at a normal speed 3) It takes about 5 minutes to give you the menu, which I think is OK 4) After ordering...! ...! Then it's a long wait, drink a drink, wait again, drink a drink again... 5) Don't worry, whenever your drink is almost finished, they will always come and ask you quickly, if you want to drink something else. The first time I patronized the restaurant for dinner, I drank three drinks because of this, a total of 7 drinks for two people, and waited for more than two hours before seeing the food, and got full of anger, totally TIME KILLING. Today, I thought that maybe they would be better for lunch. Sorry! Still the same, I only ordered the simplest cheese and ham sandwich. After an hour, I decided to complain to the waitress, after I made my complaint, within 10 minutes, I got my sandwich that I could have gotten earlier. The sandwich didn't come, I believe the reason was, I didn't drink enough, a bottle of Coke was too little... And the soup I ordered was also super salty, the reason is…. of course: to make the customers thirsty, and then order more drinks. This is my experience, I am sure that I will never come again! Wat een fijn restaurant is dit. De sfeer, de aandacht, de menukaart en erg goed eten. Al vaak hier geweest en het is altijd fantastisch. Hier heb je echt contact met de bediening en het hoofdgerecht komt op warme boren. De Pinot Grigio is ook zeer aan te bevelen. Weer een topavond gehad.

There were two of us, one lady sat alone behind us and had the same amount of food. I ordered a coke and was served two, well that's fine. Later she asked if we liked it, we thought it was very little for two. Well, she said, if we both had a sorbet we would get a little discount. Which was also little. We were never asked if we wanted more food. So we found it so very expensive.

The food was delicious, but we thought the wow factor had disappeared. We thought the price ratio to what you get was skewed. What 1 person gets in vegetables and potatoes is also exactly the same amount for 2 people. Foreign. Operation nice! But next time we'll go elsewhere. In response to your answer: we reported that it was disappointing with on-site service. It remains strange that 1 person gets the same as 2 people. It should have been mentioned that more could be had for the same money.

Delicious food with nice portions.

What a good surprise. You don't care much about it on the outside, but this is more than compensated for in quality and friendliness on the inside. The food was very tasty and well prepared with various vegetables and wonderfully seasoned. No extra salt or pepper needed. The friendly and attentive service makes it complete. It was also no problem when we called late to ask whether we could still join. Perfect for us, see you next time!

Had dinner here with my mother due her birthday I picked the daily menu. This was a schnitzel with some very good tasting side dishes. Friendly staff,menu was more than sufficient so unfortunately no place for dessert. Ate here yesterday with my mother for her birthday. Had the daily menu. Tasty schnitzel beautifully prepared with fries, fresh salad, potato slices and rhubarb. More than enough so no room for dessert. Everything was fine.

Heerlijk eten met vriendelijke bediening tegen redelijke prijs. Wat wil je nog meer? Aanrader de goulash. Uitgebreid verse groente is extra plus.

De musical "deTocht" was de reden om een weekendje hier te overnachten. De gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid van de eigenaren en bediening waren echt top. We hebben 2x heel lekker gegeten en het ontbijt was ook meer dan voldoende en goed. Kamers waren schoon en wat gehorig , en het toilet en douche was gemeenschappelijk op de gang. Dit was bij het boeken aangegeven en wij hadden/hebben daar geen probleem mee. Nogmaals bedankt voor de gezelligheid en de goede zorgen. Groetjes uit Veenendaal

Meerdere keren geweest en het is altijd druk. Ik snap ook waarom want het eten en service zijn echt top. We komen hier graag.

Wat kun je hier heerlijk lunchen! Ik had de geitenkaas salade, een van de lekkerste die ik ooit heb gegeten. De anderen hadden de hamburger, broodje carpaccio en broodje zalm; zij waren ook erg enthousiast. Aanrader dus!
