Hotel 't Oer in Wijk 00 Centrum - De Hoven

Potentially good and a great location. However, in reality, it falls short. The rooms are nice, but the finishing touches are missing. Like holes in the fitted sheet. A new air conditioner that doesn't work. A café that is closed. A meager breakfast. A host who is awkward and struggles to strike up a conversation with his guests.

Fading glory. It's now more of a room rental than a hotel. Breakfast is very mediocre, see photo. Maintenance is overdue.

Old-fashioned, outdated, and below all current standards. Stayed at this hotel for work. The hotel hallway, which was carpeted, smelled like a retirement home that hadn't been cleaned since 1980. The room was so small you had to crawl across the bed to the other side. The toilet was right next to the headboard. The windows wouldn't open. Stuffy. No ventilation. Hot. A lot of noise from neighbors and visitors in the hallway. The room was dirty. The bed slept well. But I woke up at 7:30 a.m. because of neighbors and hallway noise. Photos attached.

We booked a night through Social Deal. We received a call more than a week after booking to say there were no fewer than 13 overbookings. The gentleman could have reported this immediately. He could only offer an alternative twice as expensive elsewhere in Zutphen, with the extra cost being our responsibility. He did offer to reimburse breakfast elsewhere or offer to have breakfast at his place. Unfortunately, we had to book elsewhere, and then he suddenly refused to reimburse breakfast either. Worthless.

We received a warm welcome during the weekend of National Urban Sketch Day. We had a wonderful stay. It was clean, tidy, and right in the city center, so everything was conveniently close by.

Great hotel, clean rooms, and friendly hosts. Breakfast was good, with fresh rolls and delicious coffee. The room was also great. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring Zutphen's city center. We brought our own electric bike, and it was no problem to park it safely inside the hotel. Thanks for that. Several lovely cycling and walking routes are just a short walk from the hotel. A day of shopping and a delicious dinner are also easily accessible from the hotel. We'd love to come back again.

A lovely hotel in the center of Zutphen, away from the hustle and bustle. Comfortable beds and a great bathroom.

- 3 nights with breakfast - We chose this hotel because of the beautiful tasting room. However, this was only open for breakfast, because they haven't had a chef for about 3 months. This was only made known when we asked for a drink. Tip: You don't need a chef for an appetizer/bitter garnish with a drink. Room: Not spacious, but fine and clean. Our cards were deactivated one day early, so a lady had to come to the hotel to give us new cards. Friendly lady! Tip: Install a shower door so that the bathroom is not flooded. Location: Perfect! Within walking distance of the shops, city tour and dining options.

Be careful when making a reservation for lunch, if you are unlucky you will find yourself in front of a closed door.

It is a beautiful property and the location is perfect. Unfortunately, the service provided left much to be desired. The room was dirty (cobwebs and dust), there was waste from previous guests in the trash can, there was a kettle but no coffee or tea and we had to ask for toilet paper ourselves. On arrival the bathroom lamp turned out to be broken and on departure 3 days later it was still the case, even though we reported it on the day of arrival. The breakfast was well provided by a sweet lady who had insufficient resources at her disposal. But €12.50 per person for a croissant, sandwich and an egg is outrageous.

Het hotel is mooi ingericht en het jonge personeel is vriendelijk. Maar, de kamer was erg gehorig, de bedden waren slecht, geen flesje water of koelkastje op deze luxe duurdere kamer en het ontbijt was niet goed. Oud brood, te hard gekookte groene eieren en geen fruit. Wij gaan er niet meer naar terug.

Heerlijk gegeten, en een leuk concept!
