Houben Worstenbrood in Centrum

The sausage rolls were cold, tough, and dry. I've rarely had such bad sausage rolls.

Just ordered from Thuisbezorgd... what a disgrace! Hard, dry, tasteless sausage rolls. I've eaten quite a few sausage rolls in my life, but these were probably the worst I've ever had.

I scored some excellent spicy chicken sausage rolls! I could have done with a bit more spice, but the bread is delicious and the meat is tender! Good stuff!

I pass this place every week and decided to pop in one time because there was a sign outside advertising a spicy chicken sausage roll. Yeah, right, probably that Dutch sweet and sour sauce that's spicy. When I went in, I discovered there were at least 10 different kinds of sausage rolls! I ended up buying three different kinds of chicken sausage rolls, including the spicy one, of course. All three were delicious, and the spicy one was truly spicy (for the average Dutch person, so not like the sweet and sour sauce from McDonald's chilli chicken). I'll definitely be back to try all the other kinds of sausage rolls, because they're delicious!

This is a place I recommend to both tourists and locals. This place offers both traditional worstenbrooden but also they make their own modern twists on them which is nice. My go to is the chicken protein worstenbrood. Their coffee is also really good and the service is always great. This is easily one of my favourite breakfast places in Eindhoven.

Dropped in for a quick coffee, this place is so nice and charming, the coffee was great and the staff is very welcoming :)

I really liked the store and their specialties. The salesperson is very nice! The muffins were excellent, and the stuffed brioches were not bad, especially the truffle one.

Again with a Big Smile I was able to get sausage rolls at Houben and even speak to the chef himself. "It remains a pleasure Bart"

Still the tastiest of Brabant. A gift on a Monday afternoon. Especially when discovering the beautiful traditional old staircase, on display in the shop itself. Hopefully it will stay that way, a pleasure to look at while eating!

Very enthusiastic staff. I was the first Saturday morning. Insight into the bakery and beautiful signings. Not cheap, but you get something in return. A cup of coffee should be available on site in a cup instead of a cup.

I ordered the hamburger , was 5 Euro . Time Waiting 5 minutes. The place looks ok.

A day in Eindhoven means Houben's delicious sausage rolls should not be missed. Immediately bring some extra for home. I don't understand why the Netherlands still goes for sausage rolls en masse, while these sausage rolls are much tastier and less greasy.

Tasty, friendly staff and a vegetarian option. Because of the vegetarian option, we also bought a gift voucher for someone. After tasting the lamb, truffle and natural version with just good meat. Thank you!

Delicious sausage rolls. I'm really disappointed with the chocolate milk with whipped cream, it tastes just like it came out of the microwave. Also served in a paper cup, which doesn't necessarily make it better. (but I can understand that this is sustainable!)

A cafe with nice and comfy vibe. I like that they offer small version of Worstenbrood(milk bread with sausage inside), so I can buy all the flavors at the same time. They also offer them in a nice box which can be a cute Dutch present for people who love this snack

We wilden donderdag de sterrenbox bestellen, maar toen deed de webshop het niet. Daar over gemaild, maar geen reactie ontvangen. Vrijdag nogmaals geprobeerd en toen lukte het wel om te bestellen. Helaas is het nu dinsdag en is de box nog steeds niet bezorgd. Ook na vanmiddag nogmaals mailen geen reactie. Dus we hebben de box niet op tijd binnen, terwijl we ruim op tijd besteld hebben, en geen reactie van Houben. Erg slecht! Na deze review kreeg ik opeens wel reactie en is er een goede oplossing geboden met een gedeeltelijke terugbetaling. Daarom van 1 ster naar 3 sterren. Wel jammer dat daar eerst een review voor nodig was.

Gastvrij ontvangen in deze mooie zaak, waar je de allerlekkerste worstenbroodjes koopt in diverse varianten (ook vega), maar ook heerlijk kunt lunchen. De workshop was gezellig en vol tips en averi advies en natuurlijk gingen de lekkerste worstenbroodjes mee naar huis!

Nooit eerder een worstenbroodje gegeten. Waarschijnlijk ook de laatste keer. Is niet mijn smaak maar toch super leuke tent! Zij hebben halal worstenbroodjes wat uniek is. Leuk ingericht. Mooi zicht op de bakkerij. Helaas is een worstenbroodje niet echt mijn ding na veel pogingen proberen.

Laat ik allereerst beginnen met het feit dat dit een mooie zaak is met een modern interieur. Uiterst vriendelijk personeel dat je graag helpt. Na de proeverij van alle broodjes ben ik wel tot de conclusie gekomen dat ik meer van het worstenbroodje (traditioneel) had verwacht. Het deeg was mooi en echt goed afgebakken. De smaak van het vlees viel daarentegen weg, het is wat flauw. De rest van de broodjes hebben we blind proberen te proeven met later de resultaten. We hadden verwacht dat de broodjes met lam, asperge en de vegetarische vulling goed te vinden waren. Dit bleek niet zo te zijn en het was alsof ook deze broodjes flauw waren van smaak. Misschien is het worstenbroodje gewoon niet mijn ding. Mijn metgezel van de dag deelt deze mening.

Heerlijke worstenbroodjes!!! Let op: betaal voor het parkeren voor de deur. Er rijdt een camera auto rond in Eindhoven.

3,75 euro voor een worstenbroodje op Eindhoven airport is zelfs voor een lekker worstenbroodje way too much…
