I have eaten at Hudson 3 times now, each time to try it again, to see if the food is better. I ordered a different dish every time, just like my table companions. To my taste: I don't like the food, the sauces aren't tasty, the vegetables aren't tasty, the meat isn't tasty, sometimes too raw, sometimes overcooked. And I find the desserts mediocre as well. The play area is fun for the children, though. There is plenty of parking, around the corner at the riding school. The service is okay.

We had a super delicious meal, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was top-notch! We were frequently asked if everything was to our liking, if we wanted another drink, etc., so we didn't agree with the negative reviews. I will definitely go here again!

Great food and excellent service. Tasty burgers and good entertainment for children as well. With the new indoor playground coming soon, it will surely become even better.

There were 9 of us in The Lemon Spirit Room last Saturday. It was a beautiful, spacious room that looked atmospheric and homey. Everything was perfectly arranged. We all ordered the Rock menu and everyone enjoyed the meal. Three fun guys from Hudson sang for the birthday boy. And we were allowed to be in the room a little earlier beforehand to decorate. It was truly fantastic! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to organize a surprise party; do it at Hudson Den Haag Zuid.

Ordered a Hudson Lunch for 10 people. The menu listed Saesar Salad with chicken thigh. However... we had to pay an extra €5 at checkout. They thought that was reasonable, but I didn't. A bottle of sparkling water cost €6.75. Probably €0.60 for purchase. A nice way to make money. The food was served slowly, but drinks were at your table every five minutes. Lunch comes with various types of bread, but it wasn't served with the salmon, even after we requested it. Last year, we enjoyed a delicious buffet with this group, but this was our last visit to Hudson. No wonder the room was half empty.

The atmosphere was great; the food arrived very quickly, but unfortunately the cooking times were mixed up, so we sent the food back. The portions were also really small.

The food was good, but it was a bit too noisy for a normal conversation. Apparently, I am not used to such environments.

Very cozy. Amazing chef who thinks along with you! And they make dishes with the Mibrasa Grill simply delicious. And my son loves your delicious fries. Top notch!

Nice place, some things a bit expensive, others affordable. They could pour a bit more wine, otherwise they serve very little.

When we arrived, were told we had just two hours for our reservation. It took 10 mins to get the menus, then another 15 before we could order. Then another 45 mins before our dinner was on our table. After we got our food, our drinks were gone because it had been a whole hour since we had gotten them. It took another 15 mins to get news drinks. After we ate, it took another 20 mins to pay. I think the biggest issue is communication. There was no proactive check-in or update. We felt completely off the radar unless we sat waving our arms. The servers response when we asked where our food was basically 'I don't know, I'm sure it's coming.' and when I tried to get clarity, I was met with condescension, basically mansplaining to me how restaurants work. Yeah ok buddy. Also. 3 tables came in after us, with more people and they all got menus, drinks, food checks by the time we got our food. ...what??

Had a delicious meal; the food was good and the portions were generous. The only downside is that it is a large, high space, causing the sound to echo a bit when it is busy.

It was very quiet, which was lovely for the children; they could let loose undisturbed in the fantastic kids area. Food very good. It is a pity that my points were not credited after checkout; I should have indicated that beforehand. How am I supposed to know that?

This is truly a place I wish I had been to sooner. Friendly staff, definitely great with children. Reasonably priced and the taste was really top-notch. This isn't just a quick bite; the staff creates an experience. We weren't served, we were taken care of. Our children ate and played without it getting in the way of dinner. This is top-notch. Glad I went here.

UNBELIEVABLY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL – AVOID AT ALL COSTS ​We have been regular, loyal clients at this establishment, but after today, we will never step foot in this place again. ​The restaurant was completely empty, yet the service was hostility from the second we walked in. When we politely asked for the menu, the waitress snapped and unleashed a shocking, unprovoked tirade, claiming we were treating her "like a slave." We have never disrespected anyone in our lives, let alone service staff, so to be falsely accused and publicly humiliated in an empty room was deeply upsetting. ​Instead of dropping it, she continued to berate us and patronizingly told us, "this is not how it is in Holland." ​When we asked to speak to a manager to report this bizarre, aggressive behavior, she smugly claimed the manager wasn't there. ​Bottom line: If you want to be screamed at, insulted, and falsely accused just for asking to see a menu, this is the place for you. Management needs to seriously look into who they are hiring to represent their business, because this waitress is driving loyal customers straight out the door. Absolutely disgusting behavior.

NEVER AGAIN - #XENAGINGHAT #HOMOPHOBIA #COLD FOOD #WEAK SERVICE! We were there on Saturday 18/04 around 18:30. Me, my wife, and our children. Three times the waiter brought the wrong order to the table. The food was cold. My daughter had received her order half an hour later. By that time, I brought the sauce to the waiter and explained that it was the wrong order again. To save time, I put the sauce on his menus. The man at a table close to us started shouting that we don't belong here. At first, we ignored him. The waiter saw this happening but did nothing. He didn't stop shouting at us, so I stood up to talk to him. This caused the situation to escalate. The man and woman tried to intimidate me by standing almost on top of me. They kept shouting at me while I kept talking calmly. Again, the waiter did nothing. Only at the very last moment did he come closer and say poorly: Ladies! My wife then came over and told me to stop talking to them. After that, I returned to my table. Then the manager came to see what was going on, but I never saw him talking to the other table. This is XENOPHABILITY and HOMOPHOBIA! Give this restaurant a miss!

Very nice restaurant, also suitable for children. The food is good, the staff friendly.

Visited this restaurant with a group of 9 people. It has a bit of a USA feel to it. Around 5:00 - 5:30 PM, the table still receives attention for drinks, but after 6:00 PM the place fills up and the focus is solely on serving food and chatting with each other at the bar. The food is tasty, though, but they can't manage to cook the Rib Eye rare. It arrives completely medium. However, no one comes by the table anymore to ask if everything tastes good. Starters are delicious, French fries are well-fried, otherwise just decent food. Note: the toilets are black and very dark.

We went out for dinner with 15 people. The food was fine, but we had to wait a very long time. There were also frequent problems with the drinks.

We've been there several times now, and it's always been a success: friendly staff, attentive service, and a cozy atmosphere. Our kids can play freely, which is a real plus. If something wasn't to our liking, like a tough carpaccio, it was promptly resolved. This time, it was incredibly busy, so we spent almost the entire time trying to get the waiter's attention, and we even had to go to them several times. Drinks took half an hour to arrive, even though the food had already been served. Even when dessert was brought, our plates weren't cleared. We came there for a relaxing, carefree evening with our two kids, but this wasn't exactly relaxing. I understand completely, as it was unexpectedly busy and beyond our control. But an apology and a drink on the house or something similar would have been appropriate. I'm hesitant to go again.

Cozy restaurant, large, fairly standard menu. You have to order individual dishes. Satay is just satay, no fries.

What a place....... After our first round of drinks, every glass was covered in lipstick. Then we had to wait a very long time for our food, and the steak wasn't exactly tender. And to top it all off, we discovered that the clean cutlery was under the open staircase where all the guests walk (nice and fresh). Sorry, Hudson, but if I want to come back here, some things have to be done.......

Today I came for dinner with a group, and not for the first time. I had the 250-gram Hudson steak and asked for it medium. When it was served, I could already tell it was a kind of round steak that was very thick. I'm a real steak lover, so I knew what was coming... It'll never be medium at the thickest point. And yes, it was raw! But hey, you have to appreciate a good piece of meat, I think, apart from the fact that I was literally sawing at it with a steak knife! Then the next thing, our table was served by a young man who took himself very seriously. He cleared half the table after the main course and didn't come back because he was too busy chatting at the bar with his colleagues. You order a whisky (single malt), and what I really find unacceptable these days is that you get a whisky glass and then have to play peek-a-boo to see where your whisky actually is, pouring your drink as sparingly as possible with a measuring cup... Come on! We were given a nice voucher and paid it promptly. But sometimes, just sometimes, you miss that old-fashioned service from the past (which you still see at Greek restaurants and Indian restaurants, for example)—just offering a drink on the house!

Good food, large portions, nice place with children and still eat quietly

We came here for our anniversary dinner. The food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Great service, and definitely recommended!

It took an hour for my order to be taken, even though it wasn't even that busy. Then we waited over half an hour for our food. A shame, because it's a beautiful location and the food is good.

I really like it here. We come here often with my family. There are areas for children, they have fun playing, and we can relax. The service is fast, and everything is delicious. We booked in advance.

Nice place, good food, rather high prices but so are everywhere. Nice for an evening out and they have a small playground where children can play if not to crowded. The loaded fries are great and so is the shrimp salad. The shrimps in oil are not the best choice, very small portion for the price.

Very Poor Parking Management Experience !!!! I am giving this restaurant one star, not because of the food or the facilities—which I actually like—but due to repeated negative experiences with their parking management. On three separate occasions, despite having a reservation, I was not allowed to park in the restaurant’s parking lot. The person responsible for parking allowed some customers to park while telling others, including myself, to find parking elsewhere. The pattern of who was allowed and who was not raised serious concerns and felt discriminatory. This is extremely disappointing, as I enjoy the food and the family-friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, due to these repeated experiences, I will no longer visit this restaurant.

Beautiful, spacious, and super cozy atmosphere. The nachos and the burger were simply delicious. The service started out a little cold, but it was quickly compensated for by other very friendly and attentive waitresses, which made all the difference. Overall, it was a great experience. Pleasant place, good food, and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

The food was very tasty, but waiting three hours for your main course was unacceptable. The dishes weren't served simultaneously, so some people were already eating while others were still waiting.

Not on Christmas! Made a reservation for Boxing Day. We first had to wait for our table to become available. Upon sitting down, we were immediately told that part of the menu was no longer available. And there was already a minimal menu because of Christmas. Then we waited an hour and 15 minutes for a cold starter. After another hour, we were told the main course would take another 30 minutes. Then we decided to leave. The service was friendly and did their best. But everything was disorganized, and most of the staff were running around like headless chickens. Hudson, if you can't handle such a crowd, don't do it. Or make sure your business is well organized. Such a shame.

A complete disaster!!! Upon sitting down at the table, we were first told that one of the two desserts was out of stock. We sat waiting for our starter for over an hour. The wait staff were walking around like a bunch of lost souls. After waiting another hour and asking if our main course was on its way yet, we were told it would take well over another half hour to forty-five minutes. After hearing this, our patience ran out. Out of sheer misery, we went to McDonald's. The evening of Boxing Day was completely ruined. Shame on you, Hudson; you had absolutely no control over this evening.

Never again!!! We made a reservation for 10 people on Boxing Day. Upon arrival, we were told dessert was gone and nothing else could be ordered. After waiting for 2.5 hours, the main course still hadn't arrived. We left and, out of despair, had a burger at McDonald's. The staff were so nice; they couldn't do anything about it. No manager in sight, and the poor staff were completely bombarded. The girl just stood there crying. Hudson, if you can't handle this crowd, please accept fewer reservations in the future. My Christmas dinner and that of my family has been ruined.

The food was good, but we had to wait a very long time. We ended up paying the bill for the company at the Christmas dinner. It turns out there were a lot of things on the bill that no one consumed. About €60 worth of "extra" drinks were not consumed at all on our table.

Super nice location. Free parking. The staff can be a bit inattentive, for example, always keep an eye on the entrance. We waited five minutes for a staff member to arrive, as stated there, and another group that was trying to cut in line was helped first. We're not the most difficult, but it's not exactly fun when you're not being seen. But other than that, everything was great, delicious mocktails, and good food! We'll definitely be back.

The best restaurant ever, especially if you have kids. They the best food, the best playground area. They have two parking areas of their own, so it’s very easy to park. Even when the place is full, somehow the food arrives very fast. My family and friends all love Hudson!!!

Nice restaurant, cozy interior.

We had to wait over an hour and a half for our food. Quite difficult with two small children; at the very least, we should have been served a plate of fries. We were also ignored for a long time. When we finally had someone at our table, he was very curt, saying it would be delivered shortly. The meat wasn't very tender either. In short, we won't be back.

Good food but table setting was in logical one table had to share a board with 6 people the other table with 2 people and between these 2 tables there was space and long wait for the rest it was great.

A noisy mess with incredibly slow service. We had a table at 5:30 PM and weren't served our appetizers until 7:00 PM and our main courses until 8:15 PM. I've never experienced anything like this before! And the excuse was, "Sorry, they opened the doors upstairs, so we had a large group and couldn't serve everyone at once."

Food is perfect! Freshly cooked and tasty. Unfortunately, this is not a quiet place. People come here with small kids yelling and running around and is impossible to have a relaxing dinner.

Update 18 oktober 2025. Again we had a great time. Special thanks to our very nice host Jaymen. Good food a bit too loud for a normal chat. But thats ok. Good tastefull food. We had the Dynamite shrimp, BBQ Taco's, Hudson burger, Ribs and Louisianna Crayfish stew fries and flipped fries. Icecoffee milkshake, candy bar coup and the chocolate lava. All tasted good. Only the marinade of the Ribs was a simple ketjap. The tender Ribs deserve a good home made marinade. Service is fast. The restaurant it self is quite noisy but looks stylish. Lots of families with kids.

First time at Hudson. Beautiful decor and great fun for kids to play. Really great. But the children's food is limited to... fries. No pizza, pasta, pancakes, or anything. So, fish sticks... "we don't have that." Conclusion: the kids barely ate. It wasn't very busy, so waiting 20 minutes for a bottle of water was a bit unusual. The staff wasn't particularly friendly and didn't even say goodbye when leaving. A shame. The food was okay, not excellent, but you can't expect more from a bar-bistro restaurant. However, the price-quality ratio for this menu is really not right.

The food was decent, but the price reflects that. The service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant despite the enormous space. I had a pleasant evening for a reasonable price.

We had a wonderful evening, thanks in part to the staff's attentive service. Nola's welcome was warm and welcoming, with a big smile. She served us enthusiastically all evening, made excellent suggestions, and even gave me a limoncella shot on the house for my birthday. Fantastic!

Had a delicious meal with former colleagues

Our group consisted of 18 people. We made three reservations for 6 people each the day before via the website and, just to be on the safe side, confirmed the reservation in person. We were assigned a private room and everyone was able to order their own food. This is a rarity for a group of this size and speaks volumes about the excellent service. Drinks arrived promptly, the selection of beer and other drinks was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. The food took a while to arrive, but it was all the more delicious. Our only complaint was that the kitchen put the same order for 4 people onto two plates, even though we could have eaten together—of course, that's not possible. Overall, we were very satisfied and can recommend the restaurant without hesitation.

Good and affordable food, excellent service, and a beautiful and atmospheric restaurant👌🏻 This Hudson location is definitely recommended. I came with my grandmother, and the staff really helped me find the best seating for her. Marilise, the waitress, was also very prompt and attentive, without being pushy. My grandmother had a bit of trouble eating the prawns. The staff noticed this without saying a word, and a delicious tomato soup was served almost immediately. The burger and homemade iced tea are also highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

Last Friday, I duly made a reservation in advance and explicitly stated that I didn't want to sit near the bar. We arrived as a family with three children, and despite this clear agreement, a blonde waitress unceremoniously seated us at the bar. When I immediately told her that this wasn't what we'd agreed upon, and that I'd reserved a window seat (which was completely empty at the time), she insisted that everything there was "reserved." There was absolutely no consideration or customer service. After insisting, we finally got a window table, but by that point, the tone had already been set; the atmosphere for our evening out was immediately spoiled. What stings most is that the window seat, which we'd requested from the start, remained empty the entire evening. This confirmed our feeling that we were simply not welcome. An incredibly disappointing experience. I've been here before, both privately and for business, and have recommended it to others many times. But after this treatment, that's gone forever. This was my last visit.

Lovely restaurant, with a handy play area for the kids. The only thing missing was a baguette with herb butter/tapenade as a starter. A big disappointment was that we had to wait an hour and a half for our main course.

The food was delicious, and their homemade BBQ sauce is a must-try. Their iced tea is also highly recommended! One thing I really disliked about the atmosphere were the flies; it was absolutely teeming with them. This is probably due to the horse stables next door, but it really spoiled our meal.

A fantastic location for groups

We eat here regularly. It's a lovely location, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. Food to share, with a wide selection of meat, fish, and vegan options. The desserts are delicious, and the price-quality ratio is excellent.

Great restaurant! We made a reservation here around 5:00 PM for an early dinner, but it was fine. Very quiet. It's a very large room, but despite that, I think it has a nice atmosphere! The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Heerlijk avondje Hudson met een geweldige speelplek voor de kids! Fantastisch 'Amerikaans' dinner. Zeer goed geholpen door Marilise. Een vriendelijke en vlotte dame die er mede voor zorgt dat ik zeker nog eens terug kom.

Eigen event georganiseerd in Club 47. Marilise was echt brilliant. Alles helemaal verzorgd, goede communicatie, snel maar geduldig en een hele mooie uitstraling.

We hadden ons huwelijksjubileum gevierd bij Hudson. Tijdens de avond werd er goed gecommuniceerd en heel vriendelijk bediend. Marilise, bedankt voor de goede service, wij hebben een heerlijke feestavond gehad!

Nice location to party. Ample parking. Nice and friendly staff. Too bad the toilets are so dark. Everything is so black!

The food here was disappointing. The Korean burger is usually my favourite, but they somehow took all of the flavour out of it. The quality has gone down a lot. We sat next to the kid's area by choice of my sister, so I can't fault the restaurant for the noise. The rest of the place looked nice and I'm sure I would have enjoyed sitting somewhere else. Our waitress seemed to think she was god's gift to mankind. Eye-rolling, eyebrow-raising, with this holier-than-thou attitude that honestly made me want to ask for someone else if serving us was so much beneath her. And then to top it off she got multiple things wrong with our order. Seriously just go find a different job girl, I beg of you.

De biefstuk was verrukkelijk, het is een kunst om goede biefstuk klaar te maken. Alleen jammer dat geen mindervalide toilet aanwezig is, wel mindervalide parkeerplaatsen. Mooie open ruimte alleen daardoor is het erg gehorig

Made a reservation at 5.15 because of the children and had to give an ultimatum at 7.30 that we would leave in 5 minutes if there was no main course on the table. Children hungry, parents impatient. Then suddenly it was possible. Unfortunately the steak was cold, the offered drinks from the house were only half the price and the Spare Ribs were so small that they made me cry (we exchanged a normal spare rib for the little one, so that everyone had more or less equal portions). If they read this, they can receive the photo from me, the waiter couldn't hold back his laughter either. Unfortunately, but this was the last time.

Absolutely a nice place. But that's not enough. The service is downright bad, so your drinks and food come as it comes, I think, even the dessert.... But the worst is the food. A both starter and main course were cold (actually impossible because it was absolutely not busy, maybe the air conditioning that was on unnecessarily) B the food was, to put it mildly, indigestible so bad, how can you serve a steak so dry and full of sinews! With a terrible garnish of green peppers and nasty sauces. No, never again for us. Paid very expensively!

Food is tasty and worth repeating

Personeel erg vriendelijk eten was prima maar het was verschrikkelijk koud. Het geblaas van de airco was niet fijn, continu de wind in je nek en de airco was totaal niet nodig het was buiten erg koud 14 graden. Ik ging als ijsblokje naar huis

Upon arrival the parking lot was full and we were able to park further away. Unfortunately, my group had difficulty walking and we had to cancel our reservation because the distance to walk was far too long.
