It was very nice and the food was delicious, top-notch staff too... we would love to come back.

Very atmospheric. It was very busy. The spare ribs were a real shame. The meat was dry and tasteless. The sauce on top helped a lot. But you got very little sauce, and that didn't make the spare ribs any less dry. According to my girlfriend, the prawns were good and the steak was fine too. Nothing special otherwise. Fries were not included with your order. You have to order them separately for an extra charge, of course. The starters, however, were excellent and definitely recommended along with Route 67.

Cozy place, good food, and nice atmosphere. We ate here with our family, six people. It was busy and full, but that didn't bother us at all.

We had the slow-cooked pork belly sandwiches and the pork belly sharing dish. There was very little meat on the sandwiches, and the meat that was there was the size of cat kibble. It was hard and dry on the inside. That is not how pork belly is supposed to be served. The Wagyu gyoza was very tasty. The staff struggled with a half-filled terrace. They barely paid attention to the customers, and you had to wait a very long time for service. The cheesecake desserts, at €7.75 a slice, were very small. In short, a lunch costing €110 was not worth the money. Thanks for the feedback, but for this price, I would rather make the pork belly and cheesecake myself.

Beautiful building, ample parking. There was more than enough staff, and it was very busy on a Tuesday evening, which says something. The food was reasonably well-presented, and the taste was fine. Not outstanding, but that is probably typical for this type of restaurant. A major downside for me was the noise; it was difficult to hold a conversation.

I was there today. We had to wait so long for the food and the meat smelled so bad that we couldn't eat it. Although we sent the food back, we still had to pay for it. I won't be coming back here.

We waited nearly an hour and a half for the steak, only to be served a foul-smelling piece of meat that was totally inedible... all in all, the service was reasonable, but the quality of the food left much to be desired.

The ribeye steak was really good 🥩, but the coleslaw was not good at all it was honestly gross. The rest of the meal was good, though!

We had a table at 5:30 with a toddler. No starter, but a bread roll beforehand. We didn't receive the main course until 6:45 PM. We kept asking when it was coming; the response was that the status was orange, so it was almost ready. After contacting the restaurant to inquire about this, the explanation was that it was the normal time because we had a bread roll beforehand. As if that counts as a starter. We had a toddler with us; it was really terrible. No apologies, no solution to get the toddler food earlier; nothing comes from Hudson.

Excellent food, excellent service! This restaurant is highly recommended. Menus are available in both German and English.

I read Hudsons' own answer to a review asking why fries are no longer served with it: answer: "due to waste" That may be true, but you could also provide a small bowl per table or ask if people want fries with it; now you are charging over 4.- for it... so that 'waste' is just nicely phrased for 'we bring in more money this way!' right!?

Had a delicious meal at this beautiful restaurant with a large terrace. We arrived here at 6:00 PM; the restaurant was about half full. A Hudson burger for her, the Mr Big for me. Delicious burgers! For starters, we had the sticky cauliflower, which was also very tasty! At one point, the sun was a bit low, so the awning was simply extended a little further. Had a great time sitting, eating, drinking, and laughing. Definitely recommended.

We reserved a table at 6 PM, and the food arrived at 7:45 PM. The Black Angus steak was too tough for all three of us; it shouldn't even be allowed to call it Black Angus! The satay was good. You can't really mess that up. It was our first time there, and it will also be our last; they don't have air conditioning. A shame.

Hudson Zoetermeer is a great location for both business and private occasions. The food is delicious and the staff is always friendly. If something isn't right, they fix it for you immediately. The atmosphere is warm and homey.

We used to come here quite often, but the portion sizes are getting smaller and smaller and the prices are rising sharply. No side of fries, so really just a burger with a tiny bite of corn. Additionally, several things went wrong with the order, so we had to call someone over every time. A hefty bill, bad food, and definitely not full at all. Never again for us!

Very busy on Saturday and Friday evenings. Sunny terrace that can be heated in the evening. There is a play corner for small children. There is a non-smoking area on the terrace, but also a section where smoking is permitted. The staff is always friendly and the food is good. Ample parking (free). Tasty cocktails.

We happened to drive past and were hungry. It looked nice, so we decided to grab a quick bite. We were seated quickly, even though we were passers-by and hadn't made a reservation. Drinks were served promptly, and we received the menu quickly as well. Our order was taken quickly, and it seemed like they had forgotten ours. Tables that ordered later were served faster. The food... well, what can I say? A lot for a little, I'd say. A lot of money for very little food. The two small skewers of satay could barely be called a meal; they were more like a meager starter. Fortunately, the satay was stuck to the plate with satay sauce; otherwise, it would blow right off my plate if the door opened... The satay was dry on the outside and tasteless. The sauce didn't improve things. Using ready-made or a semi-prepared satay sauce is fine, but taste it before you serve it to your guests. The sauce was inedible. Too thick, too strong, and therefore simply inedible. Add more milk or water. Even with sauerkraut juice, it would be better. The atjar wasn't atjar but mixed pickled vegetables. The boiled egg was like rubber. The hamburger was half the size of the bun and was very compact. Not really fantastic either. You have to order side dishes separately, or with the overpriced dishes it makes it even more expensive. Everything is relative, of course, but this was bad in many respects. Not recommended. You eat cheaper at McDonald's and get more for your money. Otherwise, it's a nice building as long as it's not more than a quarter full. It wasn't nearly full, but the more people came, the harder it was to hold a conversation. Service was friendly, kitchen slow. Recommended? As far as I'm concerned, certainly not.

Very little for a lot of money. Fine if it's expensive, but at least make sure the plate is full. The veggie burger is two sizes smaller than the bun. And two mini corn cobs as garnish is really sad. The 32 euro hamburger was really small and the pepper sauce was like water. A real shame.

Three weeks ago, I dined at Hudson Zoetermeer for one of my best friends' birthdays, along with a group of girls. We had a truly wonderful evening. The restaurant looked neat and inviting inside. Everything was well-maintained, and it immediately felt comfortable to be there. The service was excellent: the staff were friendly, helpful, and patient. We felt welcome and well-helped. We're a pretty enthusiastic and sometimes a bit loud group, but we didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone. We were able to chat and laugh without feeling awkward. The food was excellent and tasted great. All in all, it was a very pleasant dining experience. Definitely a place I would return to!

Great food and fantastic service. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and even had a nice chat at the table. The sound isn't too reverberant, the acoustics are good; you can't even hear the trams passing by outside. The food was absolutely delicious—not too little, but certainly not too much! Highly recommended for a fun and intimate night out.

Well, where do I begin? This restaurant used to be our favorite, and I used to come here monthly until a year ago, but after tonight, it's been labeled the worst restaurant in Zoetermeer. I was absolutely crazy about you guys, but unfortunately, I have to write this review out of disappointment. It's truly awful. It used to be so nice that you got a sandwich when you came to eat, and then you got a full plate for 20-25 euros. Now, for the same price (without a side dish), you literally get two mini satays or a mini hamburger. The quantity is getting smaller and smaller. It's truly outrageous what you charge for something like that. They solved it by adding a side dish because they knew us by sight and we were incredibly frustrated. We were literally told, "Agh, yeah, our restaurant is always full. Just wait until people like us abandon you too. Then the arrogance will turn the other way." Our evening with friends was quite disappointing, and we won't be back. Such a shame.

Hudson is like our living room in Zoetermeer. It's always great, but when it comes to the food, I sometimes miss something creative, which is less than expected! The burger, steak, and Korean burger are good, but a bit dull in our opinion.

The spareribs were delicious. The mini burger was also delicious. I couldn't finish my dessert, so I had to take some home. The service was great!

It's a nice place and the food so nice

I ordered almost the most expensive dish on the menu, the spareribs. It says 650 grams. But what we received was incredibly small. When we raised the issue, we weren't taken seriously.

The restaurant looks cozy with its wooden structure. It is quite noisy, though, and the acoustics could use some improvement. The food is good, but a bit pricey. Because of the friendly atmosphere at the table, we didn't read the menu properly, so we assumed sides would be served. Unfortunately, they didn't ask about this when taking orders. If no one orders sides, it seems to me that's a sign that people have forgotten something. Sides were listed when the main courses were served and served fairly quickly.

We celebrated my mother's 70th birthday here, and what a wonderful evening it turned out to be! My mother has vascular dementia and struggles to cope with a lot of stimuli, so the option of a private room was very important to us. Unfortunately, those rooms were already booked a day before the dinner—my own fault, because I hesitated too long. Yet, on the day itself, a few hours before the start, I received an unexpected call from the manager: a private room had become available after all, and he offered it to us right away. It was like it was meant to be! They even let me bring balloons beforehand so they could decorate the room. You don't see that kind of service very often anymore—truly thoughtful and caring about the guests. Everything was arranged down to the last detail. The food was fantastic: everyone received their dish at the same time, everything was hot, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The wine (especially the Pinot Grigio 😉) was delicious. My mother visibly enjoyed herself, and that made the evening unforgettable for all of us. On behalf of her and the entire family: thank you Hudson Zoetermeer, and especially the manager of that evening. You truly made it special. Good job, guys!

Stopped at Happen&Trappen for the main course. We had delicious salmon with fries. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant and terrace.

Lunch for two. Good service, good atmosphere. The food is a bit pricey. The salmon sandwich could be better and more varied. The veggie burger was a quality burger, but the bread had been heated where the meat was grilled. You could taste that. It's a shame.

We had dinner there. We're familiar with the Hudson Variant in The Hague South, so I thought we'd try the Hudson Variant in Z'meer. The dishes are pretty good, no complaints. However, I asked for my steak to be cooked well done. Initially, I received it medium rare. A second time, after returning it, it wasn't well done either. After the second time, I told them I didn't want a replacement and that they could leave it as is. The kitchen wasn't at its best that evening. I do have to say that waitress Mila did her utmost to make things right. So, I give the service a full 5 stars. She also arranged for compensation. In summary, there was a slight issue with the food, hence the 2 stars, but Mila's service ultimately made it all work out. So, a full 5 stars for the service. The atmosphere was also good.

The selection is limited. And if you're placed in the corner next to the kitchen, there's a lot of noise from the kitchen appliances. I've eaten there twice now, and it didn't get any better the second time.

It was our first time here. I am regularly in the US and upon entering it looked familiar. The food was fine, only with these prices I expected a bit better. In addition, the steaks were quite lukewarm and not entirely medium-rare as ordered. As expected, a busy place and too few staff who were mainly very busy. For the time being, we will not be going back here.
