One of the worst kibbeling i have ever had

As always, a great place to eat delicious kibbelings. We've been there several times and there's never been anything to complain about. Sure, the standard portion is €6.50, but we know that everything has gotten more expensive. It's always busy when we're there, so you should be prepared to wait a bit. But since the food is so delicious, I'm willing to wait. During peak times, it's hard to get a seat, but that doesn't bother me personally. Since there are other seating options around, people usually take advantage of them. The portion size is okay. And the garlic sauce is incredibly delicious.

Very tasty kibbelings, delicious, fresh fish, but even with the heavy breading, not all sauces are recommended. A portion of kibbling costs €6.50, which is quite a statement. The garlic sauce was like...where's the garlic? I had a similar experience at Bram Ladage's. There wasn't even a hint of garlic aftertaste. They experimented a lot in the kitchen. At the end, they added a kind of paprika and salt mixture without any additives, and that's it. A qualified recommendation for those who like that kind of thing.

Delicious, tasty, fresh fish, all the sauces are recommended, portions of kibbling - in line with the current price/performance ratio. Service was friendly, helpful, and cheerful... Definitely recommended, we'd be happy to go back. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❣️

If the service had been good, I could have given it two stars. But the slightly older woman with light hair and light eyes, what a horrible person. She couldn't even crack a smile... I didn't find her friendly at all. The kibbeling was inedible. You could taste the oil, and it wasn't as "fishy" as I'm used to. It's always busy, and I really don't understand why. The two of us had a small portion of kibbeling and ate four in total. We left the rest.

Kibbeling is tasty, but for a bottle of water 0.33ml 2.5 euros I think is a ridiculous amount of money

The tables are disgusting! Unnecessarily full! Absolutely soggy fries! These aren't Dutch fries! Never again!

Today we were in Venlo again after a long time and then we wanted to eat Kippeling. On the way to the market we passed the stand and I thought to myself: Oh yes, now a delicious Kippeling with fries. You, that was a grab in the toilet. The fries were still OK. But the Kippeling were subpar. They looked like they came from the factory. Everything the same size and crunchy is something different. The remoulade was quite tasty but there was only a blob. Conclusion: then it's better to stand in line at the market and wait but get a delicious Kippeling. Not worth it!

A good alternative if there is no market day (with fresh Kippeling). Fries with Kippeling for 10 euros is sporty. Sauce costs extra.

No, unfortunately not. It was recommended to us by a local. If I had seen earlier that the kibbelings were being taken from a box and then fried, I wouldn't have ordered them. They look like frozen nuggets, and they tasted like them, too. The garlic sauce was delicious, the portion was good, but unfortunately, they had no flavor. Kibbelings must be dipped fresh in batter and then fried. The salesman was like a sleeping pill.

With the first bite you could taste and smell the oil. The oil oozed out with every bite. I felt that oil taste for the rest of the day.

The fried fish is world class! There is enough standing room and you can also sit down comfortably. The fish is freshly fried and served with a baked roll. You can also get various sauces with it. The portion is enough for an adult. We enjoyed it incredibly well. We'll be back!

Frozen kibeling. You can find this in every market and do it your self. I've been eating way better ones.

To be honest, I was just disappointed! Friendliness nil. Prices completely overpriced for the portions. Sauce also costs extra. Unfortunately, the fried fish has already died more than twice. All tables and chairs are very dirty. I can't recommend it! There are really much better fish stalls.

Racist employees, probably store owners. I've sat down at their table with my toddler while my husband stood in line to buy Kibbelinges for us. Literally got hit on in the back because I was sitting there with French fries from LaBonbo or something. I didn't eat anything, I only had it in my hand because they are such "bags". I explained to the man very nicely that we were waiting for my husband, who was currently in their loft to buy fish for us from their shop. IT screamed at me to get up and eat the fries somewhere else. I answered him that they belonged to my little daughter (2 years old) because she doesn't like fish. I also have to mention that around 60% of the guests had bags of chips from LaBonbo with them and there were no problems. They continued to eat with pleasure while he messed with me. Every time we visited Venlo we always ate our fried fish there, and from now on never again. Ah, my husband was then chased away from the line with the words: 'There's no fish for you'. I think he felt triggered by my external appearance (headscarf).

Always enjoyed eating there, but the portions have been almost halved. A total of 6 kibbelings per serving. We got a small dollop of sauce with it. The price management is no longer correct at all.

Unfriendly, offensive service reduced everything to one star. Nobody knows English.

Best kibbeling I've eaten in years

Food is ok but the service is so unfriendly and gives annoyed, stroppy answers. The woman looks at you annoyed. The man was just smoking right next to him. For that reason alone, never again!

I was looking forward to the new herring today.... In good spirits I went to the fish shop in Venlo! I bought 3 new herrings there and took them with me. When I got home I opened the bag and the smell of rotten fish hit me. In any case, I will never go there again. Just sell old herring for new ones 😏

If you are in Venlo, you definitely have to stop at this fish stall at the market. Ate very tasty kibbeling with wonderful tartar sauce. Large portion for a reasonable 6 euros. Yummy!

Unfortunately the last Kibbeling I ate there was very bad. The Kibbeling looked very machine-cut and not like the Kibbeling we know from the Netherlands. Tastes like it comes from a french fries shop here in Germany. We eat a lot of kibbeling and were otherwise always very satisfied there ☝🏻 Hopefully things will get better again

Kibbelinge were tasteless and the garlic sauce was sweet and had no taste of garlic. Staff neutral.

The kibbles and the fries were great. There may be nicer seats but it's completely ok. We will be back.

When we wanted to order something, the salesman was smoking. He thought because he was alone he could pick his nose. Then he came in without washing his hands and started cutting the rolls. We left immediately and of course didn't order anything! Stay away from this store.

My family bought the Bels Backfisch from Huub. I just had to walk away from the family and eat alone because I was the only one with fries from another store... Very bad, rude and anti-social service. I would support this store on principle.

We bought fish for the whole family and were yelled at by the owner when we sat down just because we still had fries from before. It is absolutely annoying that we were treated this way, especially as paying customers. Hopefully never again.

Very tasty kibbles with also very tasty fries

Very small portions at excessive prices. We didn't like the food. The garlic sauce has a very strange consistency and doesn't taste good at all. There are much better snack bars in the area. The service is very friendly.

We had fried fish 4 times and all 4 portions were perfect. The breading was crispy, the fries were delicious and the staff was very nice! It's been a long time since I've had such good fried fish as at this stand! Highly recommended.

Staff not good, tables are not cleaned. First and last visit. Also too expensive. Having to eat fish with plastic forks is miserable

We were looking forward to kibbeling with fries and unfortunately we went to this snack bar on the main shopping street with outside tables. advised that Kibbeling and Backfisch are advertised on their posters. The fries were OK, the kibbeling has nothing to do with what is otherwise understood by it in Holland. The individual pieces are prefabricated and shaped and probably come straight from the freezer. The next time we visit Venlo we will look longer and not give in to the first hunger.

Kibbeling was coated with too much and too hard breading, the garlic sauce had a strangely slimy-looking and seemingly watery consistency (unlike before). Personnel behavior borderline. Tables were dirty. You can also lose customers this way. Definitely the last visit there for me. A pity.

Unfortunately, the low quality Kibberling is very greasy. The garlic sauce isn't the best either. There are better fish stalls in the Netherlands. Sorry 🙈

Previously one of the best fish stalls in Venlo... today's kibbeling with a small handful of fries for € 8.00 was dripping with fat, had a lot of breading and tasted of nothing.

We wanted to eat fish so we got in line. The processing was very quick. After we ordered, we received a very hot meal just a minute later. Then we tried that. We bought a fried fish and two kibbelings each with fries. When we ate it, we found the taste of the fried fish very interesting and also very buttery. The seasoning of the marinade was also good and the kibbeling were very firm and fresh. We really liked the food. Oh, that

The quality of the Kibbeling has nothing to do with what it was a few years ago. Hard thick breading, not deliciously seasoned. Fries were OK. This used to be a top address.

The best fish in Venlo and the surrounding area, always fresh, tasty and fragrant. All our guests from Poland always visit this place and are delighted. My child is the biggest fish connoisseur and, as you know, children do not always like fish. I heartily recommend it.

Ate “Kibbeling” for the first time. It was really delicious. The combination of remoulade sauce, kibbeling and the spicy fries, simply delicious. We will come back and eat right there 😊

Kibbeling is the lowest frozen quality and is sometimes cold on the plate. After years of good experiences in Maastricht, Domburg and Co., these were really the worst kibbelings ever.

It was just bad. Kibbeling cold, fried fish doesn't deserve the name. Never again

In my opinion there are only two places in Venlo where you can eat kibbeling, fried fish and the like. This is one of the two. The queue at the fish stall alone shows how good the shop is.

Just the right thing for a small hunger

The Dutch do not have a very rich and varied cuisine, but their fish dishes are very, very tasty. The fish kibbeling from this small fisherman's snack bar is also incredibly tasty. Prices are okay.

Old guy came yelling at me because I was covering from the heavy rain under their umbrella, they literally had 0 clients, but he was still upset I was having fries from somewhere else. Very rude, don't come near this place.

Even if the fish quality may be good: fried fish with paprika - curry seasoning (?) is not really my taste. And be careful: A fried fish roll is not the same as a fried fish roll: in our case there was fried fish on a paper plate that was too small with a napkin that was too small and too thin, tartar sauce in a separate plastic container with a lid and a wooden fork, the baguette was not cut open... food on hand quite a bit Impossible, I just found a bar table - cleaned it myself first Due to the large crowds today, the staff couldn't keep up and weren't exactly friendly - for 6€ I expect more! somewhere else soon!
