Tasty food at reasonable prices. On the evening we were there, it was very busy. As a result, it was a bit chaotic. Otherwise, a great restaurant!

We had a delicious meal at Sokratis last night. We reserved a table in advance, but there was plenty of room. The restaurant was nice and quiet with Greek music playing in the background. The menu was substantial, with something tasty for everyone. The portions were just right, with no large amount of leftover meat. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!

The atmosphere and service were top-notch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The children's food was also fine. Not a huge portion, but enough. Our own food was a bit disappointing; the mixed grill was nothing special and the fried fish was very greasy deep-fried. With just the raw vegetables and potatoes, there wasn't much either. It's a real shame because we felt right at home there and were served quickly.

Normally we really love ordering from here! Gyros speciaal is especially a favorite! But yesterday there was a piece of glass in our food. I emailed the restaurant directly first, but received no response! I did get a solution via Thuisbezorgd, but never received a reply to my email from Sokratis themselves! Very disappointing, no more gyros speciaal for us for the time being!

We had a nice meal here, but found the food very salty, which is why we are giving four stars instead of five. The service could also have been a bit friendlier, but otherwise it was fine.

Lovely place and delicious food for a family meal. Sweet hostess, her sweet children playing and really letting loose. Spacious tables, perfect restrooms. We are already coming here for the second time in a week and are still curious about the rest of the menu.

A very good Greek restaurant. The food is excellent. The service is exactly what you expect. Nice Greek music playing in the background. When I feel homesick for Greece, I come here to eat. It makes me feel like I'm back there for a moment. Prices are very affordable for Greek food. Definitely recommended if you're in the area for a quick bite to eat. See you again soon.

They have a dorado on the menu, and you can choose whether you want to fillet it yourself or have the chef do it. We ordered it filleted, and then suddenly the fish arrived breaded (like a battered fish fillet, so to speak), but this is not mentioned on the menu and is not explained either. When we pointed this out, we were told that the filleted version is only available breaded... who still believes that the chef fillets it himself? Eventually, after a lot of talking and a long wait, we received a non-filleted one (this tasted fine), but suddenly there were fries instead of mashed potatoes, and my meat dish was by then ice cold. We had to negotiate for a very long time to get a real fish, and they couldn't even manage a cup of coffee as compensation. Although it tasted fine in the end, this was a one-time thing, BUT NEVER AGAIN.

Until yesterday it was 5 stars, but not anymore. We received the menu *with* the notification that the prices had changed, but the new menus weren't available yet. We could view the new prices via the QR code. Well, on average €3.50 more expensive per dish than on the menu (by the way, the 'old' prices are still on the website as well....) Ordered rice instead of fries, fries on the plate, 3 meals served, the 4th 10 minutes later..... Staff very friendly, came to serve 4 ouzos to make up for it a bit, even though we don't drink that... All this significantly diminished the festive mood.

I've never had such delicious moussaka as yours. Simply perfect. And everyone loved it. Every plate was empty, and everyone's bellies were full.

Ordered through Thuisbezorgd. The food was still nice and warm when it arrived. I ordered the gyro special for the second time, but both were extremely salty, so they ended up in the bin. Away for €37. The moussaka was fine, but nothing special. The tzatziki was tasty, though.

I ordered from this restaurant 1 week ago by Thuisbezorgd, I was waiting for delivery guy 2 hours and after that someone called me to tell me the order has been canceled and I ll get the money back. I didn t get any refund back and I can t get it touch with someone to fix that.

The food was excellent, very tasty. The dining room is a bit large, which doesn't exactly create a welcoming atmosphere. But there's nothing wrong with the dishes.

Ordered online at 5:43 PM for delivery at 6:15 PM. I called 50 minutes after the delivery time and was told the delivery driver had just left. Finally, 25 minutes later, he showed up with the food, which was lukewarm! I live nearby, but I'll never order from them again. It's a shame the food is really good, so that's their luck!

We booked a table through Social Deal. When we got there, they were closed, on vacation. What good are reservations anyway? They don't accommodate absences and clearly don't care about their customers. Absolutely terrible.

After visiting the Arcen Castle Gardens, we stopped here on our way home. It's a modern place, which makes it a bit uninviting, but it serves delicious Greek food at a reasonable price. Friendly, fast service. We were given fries as standard with our grilled dish for two. I prefer authentic rice, Greek pasta, or pita. And fries are only available upon request. We didn't like the keftedes, especially the sauce, which was bland and watery. The grilled dish was more than enough and very tasty. The leftovers were neatly packaged for takeaway. The hygiene, price, and service were top-notch.

I think more people should try this. It's deliciously seasoned food at a good price. Desserts are huge, so there's usually no room left (at least not for me). I have absolutely nothing to complain about, and I'll definitely be back. Parking is easy nearby, children are welcome too, of course, wheelchair access isn't a problem (it's a small village), and it's vegetarian (Greek cuisine, so lots of vegetables too).

They have great food here, you can really eat well, I recommend number 72 on the menu. The staff doesn't speak Dutch properly and their English or German is very poor. They forgot to bring us what we ordered 3 times. The floor and furniture are a bit older, but I still recommend it.

Aanrader! Gisteren met 8 personen gegeten bij Sokratis. Het eten was vers, veel en heerlijk...en staat dus ook niet binnen 10 minuten voor je neus! De bediening vond ik geweldig. Ze waren ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Mijn ouders waren 50 jaar getrouwd. Daar werd een speciaal muziekje voor opgezet en met een sprankelend toetje erbij begon het hele restaurant, incl personeel, te zingen. Wij hebben een top avond gehad!

Een pareltje in Tegelen.. wat nog ontdekt moet worden. Zo blij met dit Griekse restaurant. We komen hier regelmatig met plezier! Uitstekende prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Heerlijk eten en bijzonder gastvrij.

Just ordered food via home delivery. Always super good food. Now ordered two extra portions of €5.95 tzatziki. Much, much too thick, it's as if it has been standing for far too long. Due to the disappointment of the tzatziki, more than 80% of the dish went into the container

Van tevoren gereserveerd en gevraagd om kinderstoel en of er een verschoon mogelijkheid was voor baby. Hier was ja op geantwoord, echter verschoon mogelijkheid was er niet. Kinderstoel moest nog gepakt worden. Eten was goed, niet vet en voldoende, echter ontbrak er een maaltijd verkeerd genoteerd!! Waardoor er 6 pers. zaten te eten en 1 moest wachten( maaltijd maar gedeeld). Bediening mag zeker allerter zijn en wat vriendelijker. Menu kaarten bleven liggen na opnemen lege glaasjes en flesje bleven staan er werd niets gevraagd. Interaktie om drank extra te bestellen kwam van ons zelf. Tijdsduur van aankomst en voorgerecht zat ruim 1 uur tussen. Met een klein kind niet echt wenselijk. Druk was het niet, waren de eerste vd avond. Dessert maar overgeslagen. Jammer een gemiste kans.

Already ordered 3 times and had a delicious meal. I think it was very busy tonight. There was a small mistake in our order. I contacted them by phone and was initially a little disappointed when I got the voicemail. However, I was called back fairly quickly and it was resolved very nicely. To make mistakes is human, it is the way you deal with them that can make the difference. I am very satisfied with their response and quick solution. Will definitely order more often.

Visited this restaurant twice in two weeks, first with family and grandchild. The waitress was extremely friendly and also responded well to the 1.5 year old grandchild. Booked in advance for the second time with a group of 6 people. Everything went well and the service was good. During dinner a group of about 70 people came in who had also made a reservation. Everything went smoothly and well. Food was tasty. Used the 65 plus menu. Everything enough to satisfy your hunger and also tasty. Yesterday we made a reservation at Sokratis for 5 people and received confirmation. When we got there, it turned out that there was no room despite the reservation. This was already the 3rd time, why make a reservation? Because friends didn't have their dessert and so left, they still got a place. We received our first drink after 45 minutes and our food after 1 1/2 hours. The service cannot do anything about this, they are running wild. Better communication between reservation and service would help a lot.
