Unfortunately, I have to update my review (13-08-2026). Lunch 10-08-2026; Total 4 stars; Food 5 stars. Service 5 stars. Atmosphere 5 stars. We had a delicious lunch at Restaurant De Kloosterhoeve. Friendly staff and a very friendly chef/owner with whom we had a nice conversation. Reserved for dinner today, 13-08-2026. Anyway, the terrace was packed as well. Dinner; Total 3 stars. Food 2 stars. Service 3 stars. Atmosphere 5 stars. Dinner reception was fine. We skipped an appetizer. The meat from the mixed grills was super dry, probably pre-cooked. Advice: don't do that again and ask the guest how they want their meat cooked. Communication during service was not very smooth and a few mistakes were made. The majority of the staff are foreign, which shouldn't be a problem, but unfortunately, things didn't go entirely smoothly. All in all, it is a shame; while lunch was so fantastic, dinner is somewhat disappointing. Hopefully, this will be addressed in the future!

Had a delicious meal, lovely outside under the covered terrace, friendly staff spoke, only no Dutch, but that was no problem for us. The food was fantastic for a reasonable price.

Disappointing. The service is friendly, the food was served within 10 minutes of ordering, it was lukewarm and seems to have been reheated. We were finished (ordered, eaten, and paid) within 45 minutes. The price-quality ratio is not right. 28 euros for a mixed grill that seems to have been reheated.

Spareribs are disappointing. The same goes for the nacho dish. It was practically tasteless. The price-quality ratio is insufficient. Lovely staff, cozy atmosphere.

Delicious! We hadn't made a reservation but luckily we were still able to eat here. My boyfriend had the spareribs and I had the schnitzel. Delicious! Highly recommended for both. Tasty sauce, a good portion of fries on the side, and napkins with the spareribs to clean your hands afterwards. Friendly staff and the food was served quickly and was still nice and hot. Good value for money. We will be back!

We arrived relatively late and, despite the many negative reviews, decided to give the restaurant a chance – unfortunately, that was a mistake. I ordered a mixed grill, which was very disappointing: three small pieces of meat, dry and not served piping hot. It came with grilled vegetables and some fried vegetables, which were also underwhelming. The fries weren't fully cooked in the middle. My daughter had a salami pizza that tasted like it came from a vending machine – definitely not freshly prepared. The service was okay, but opinions on that certainly vary. Overall, the value for money is completely off. €28 for the mixed grill is far too expensive considering the quality. As is the rest of the meal, unfortunately. Not recommended.

Delicious food and very friendly service. Many dishes come with a huge cone of delicious fries. Dishes are served quickly, and the cocktails are also good.

A chef who can't cook meat, how is that possible? 4x mixed grill: small pieces of meat with a bed of vegetables. A piece of chicken, a bone-dry piece of steak, overcooked, and something unidentifiable. Friendly service, only speaking English, which wasn't a problem. There was no children's menu on the menu, but later it turned out there was a menu on a wall somewhere. It wasn't mentioned. All in all, Landal needs some work to improve this. Good luck.

Cozy atmosphere and delicious food

I suggest hiring people who can cook. I love the thermals on arcen, but I do not recommend food. I wouldn't want it for free, let alone when I had to pay for it. I'm a cook and I've never eaten so bad food. I don't recommend the restaurant. I don't understand the owner because if the food was tasty, the guests would come back.

Restaurant De Kloosterhoeve in Arcen is definitely recommended. Despite the crowds, communication was clear and friendly, maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent – ​​and, to be honest, I've experienced something different at restaurants in holiday parks. Here, the staff truly makes the difference: hospitable, friendly, and attentive to the guests. That gives the whole experience that little something extra.

Food is very good, steak was cooked as orderes. Only downside the menu could do with three more dishes.

The food was very bad. The hamburger was dry and not seasoned. The fries hadn't even touched the fryer. The prices were also outrageous for what you get. The service was fine, but they only spoke English. The outdoor furniture was being used for indoor dining. I wouldn't recommend it.

Delicious food, and super friendly staff. Due to surgery, one dish had to be adjusted slightly, which they did perfectly and checked to make sure everything was perfect. The prices are also reasonable, perhaps expensive compared to a few years ago, but it's normal for now. So, the comments from some people about that... Oh well. There was live music today, but we had just left when it started. But we knew that beforehand; they had already told us what time it started when we made our reservation. So, worth 5/5.

While traveling in Europe, I happened to stop in Klein Vink and ate at De Kloosterhoeve. The meal was decent, a little pricey, but the atmosphere was pleasant. What I really liked was the service. A waitress—I think her name was Natalia—took care of the entire room with calm and kindness. She even took the time to speak to me in French, which I really appreciated. A nice break in my trip.

My friends and I were at this restaurant on 13.06. The cocktails were delicious, the only plus. The children's burger was also delicious. But the Mix Grill was terrible. Our table had 4 portions. The steak was overcooked. The chicken was like rubber, it seemed to have been heated in a microwave. The pork was inedible. But of course our men ate it all because it's a shame, but 28 euros per portion. We told the waitress when the food was terrible. The free fries were the only ones that were edible. It's a real shame because the cocktails were excellent!

Food was mediocre, steak was overcooked, fries were not cooked well. Rocket Lettuce with the carpaccio some pieces were dried out. After a drink (I missed the beers from the brewery in Arcen!) we asked for the menu and found no asparagus dishes. For that we had to go to the adjacent, second restaurant, we were told when we asked. The menu is limited and plate service. The Greek burger and the chicken satay were good. But in recent years the price-quality ratio in many catering establishments has been out of balance. This is also the case here. We had read reviews with full praise for the service. We were not lucky. The best man reported that he had actually walked out of the kitchen for a moment and that was visible from the stains on his sheaf.

We have eaten here before. The old menu can still be found online. However, when we sat down at the table, it turned out that the reservation had not come through after calling, fortunately that was no problem. When we got the menu, it was different than expected. The information online is seriously outdated. There are no more pizzas or schnitzels. Furthermore, the sweet potato fries that were so tasty here have been removed from the menu. The menu has also become much more expensive. The choice is actually only burgers or steaks. Fortunately, according to the menu, you still get vegetables and fries with your meal. However, there is no visibility of vegetables with the chicken satay. Fried onions should also be included, but they were easy to find after a lot of searching. The cheeseburger had not melted the cheese and the onions were missing from the burger. However, onion rings were suddenly included. The salad for the burger was served in a sauce container. And the burger was served on a kind of fake wooden mini tray made of cardboard. In short, an expensive refined snack bar where this used to be a fine restaurant. For half the price we could have eaten at the snack bar, with whom I believe they share a kitchen.

Not recommended! Only English speaking Italian was attentive, other service no hurry and not alert. Food was not a success unfortunately.

Food and drinks are okay, good presentation, and the quality is okay...but what really makes the difference is the waiter Luigi, this man really does his utmost for the guests, comes to your table, while using a mix of languages ​​between Italian, English and Dutch, will serve you, and make it a party, it's wonderful how he works, you rarely find a waiter like that here in the Netherlands, really a great person, with enormous energy and passion for his work... You can eat well here. Went there with our children and grandchildren. Friendly service helpful. Children could colour. The food was delicious. Maybe 1 tip to keep the little ones quiet would be a small play area. A lot of children come there. On our evening they were playing in the hallway. With nice cups that they had received super sweet.

We were worried because not all the reviews about the food were that good. But we found the food very tasty and the service was also very good. We were asked every now and then if everything was ok and if we needed anything. In the end they packed us the food we didn't manage to eat at our request. All in all, I had a very nice, delicious birthday. Thanks

We just had dinner here. I normally never post reviews, but the gentleman at the service tried so hard to put our daughter, who has to eat gluten-free (because she has celiac disease), at ease that I decided to do so again. So excellent service that really does its best and excellent service. The food was also very tasty, as I understood it was a new concept (steaks and burgers).

Very friendly and cheerful staff. Food is OK, but not really more than that. And quite pricey for a restaurant in a holiday park, especially drinks. The menu is old-fashioned in the sense that it contains almost exclusively meat dishes; That's really no longer possible as far as I'm concerned. There are vegetarian variants of some burgers available, but there are no vegetarian dishes on the menu (so without 'fake meat'). My tips would be to decorate the room nicely and to put at least a few good vegetarian dishes on the menu. As a big meat lover, I know that you can also make really tasty vegetarian dishes.

We ate here twice. First day lady steak and it was super tasty, last day cheeseburger and it was also super good, a mistake was made with the food and that was also resolved very well with new food, drinks on the house, all kinds of presents for the children, mistakes can happen and it was solved fantastically! Because the snack bar was closed, upon arrival at Klein Vink we were served a very tasty bag of fries with a bami disk. The satay sauce completed it all. It was delicious. Beautifully located building, clean toilets and the service was very friendly!

We reserved a table for 7:30 p.m., we arrived 25 minutes late. The brainless waiter tells us that we will not be served because of the delay, according to the manager's instructions. Beautiful eatery at first glance. Looks nice and attractive, but disappointed with what was presented. It is not bad, but based on price-quality ratio it is not sufficient. The burgers are much better than the pizzas. It still feels a bit strange to have to communicate in English. Especially if on a second visit a year later there is no improvement in Dutch language skills. The beer menu mainly follows the national selection of Roompot, while the almost adjacent Brewery in Arcen has many nice beers in its range. It's a shame that the local character is ignored here. We will look further next time.

Very good friendly service. The salad was very tasty with a delicious honey dressing. The schnitzel was also very tasty. Only the Champions Sauce was, to put it mildly, tasteless. Still better than the average rating of 3.6 stars and recommended.

We had dinner here at the end of our vacation. The food was very good! The pizzas are handmade and my son loved his burger. I was honestly surprised by the quality of the salad; I have rarely eaten such a good mixed salad.

Not worthy of the name restaurant. Pizza was rock hard (better serve a Dr Oetker pizza) chicken skewer was something that came from the chip shop next door and looked very special and was served on a plastic plate. The beef rendang made by a star chef was really inedible, everything came straight from a jar (atjar tampoer, pickle, prawn crackers from cassava) you couldn't call it cozy either, it is exactly a refectory with garden furniture. If you eat here, don't have too high expectations. It was downright bad. The "Asian chicken skewer" was a kind of satay with an indefinable taste. The service is not necessarily unfriendly; but an Italian who doesn't speak Dutch and behaves like a wooden Pinocchio is cringeworthy. Finally, the ambiance is not worthy of the name "Kloosterhoeve". The entrance is poorly marked and once inside it looks more like a noisy canteen than a pleasantly decorated restaurant. The wardrobe resembles the coat rack of a primary school. I could go on and on like this. They won't see us here again.

Unfortunately we had our food on the table within 3 minutes, you fry a schnitzel in a pan or on the plate and not in French fry fat, just disgusting and to finish off my wife had fried a hair in the schnitzel, we said something about it. and didn't have to pay for 1 schnitzel, but definitely not worth repeating. We also reserved a table at the window well in advance, but we didn't get that either.

I have to say... We didn't end up here on Boxing Day completely planned. But what fun it was... we were all able to eat exactly what we liked to eat. Even for the carnivores and vegans among us. And the service was very friendly!! Let's be honest where do you find that... really nice people... Decorations everywhere, Christmas music in the background and then the desserts :) good wine... attention had been paid to absolutely everything. Staff was friendly, but seemed rushed, perhaps a little short on crew. We didn't experience any problems with that, it didn't seem busy and we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. The food was not really tasty. The fries were fine, the schnitzel was dry and really not tasty. The fish was okay. I think it varies a lot from dish to dish. The bread beforehand was the tastiest. The decoration was there, but placed in such a way that it missed the mark and was just not attractive. Unfortunately!

I eat gluten-free. There was little indication online, but they turned out to have gluten-free pizzas and salads. The pizza was great!! Also want to take other allergies into account.

Restaurant in the Klein Fink campsite near Arcen. Food is fast food. BUT you can watch football and play billiards. So more pub than restaurant.

The first impression didn't promise much. The friendly service and the prompt service teach us something better. Anyone expecting a schnitzel ala Figlmaier or ravioli like in Naples should not dine in the Netherlands. By Dutch standards, the food described tasted very good.

The monastery farm restaurant was well... We didn't eat there. The fact that we were with 14 people was apparently something they were not really prepared for, because we had to place our order well in advance (before we arrived at the restaurant) and could only go quite early in the evening. While there are quite a few 16-person houses at the holiday park. However, when we picked up the menus to determine our choices (why aren't they completely online?) it turned out that there was a very bad smell in the restaurant, so we canceled the reservation. Tip: provide better ventilation and especially extraction of the toilets, I think. Food is largely dependent on smell and this smell made a few of us gag. A bit like a toilet on the train; a mix of feces and cleaning products.

Positively surprised. We arrived after the crowds (7:00 PM) so maybe that was an advantage. Food: children's pizza, chicken skewers and Caesar salad. Tasty large portions for a great price. Friendly staff.

Bad food, service tried to do their best, but would never go here again, it was really bad. Carpacio was full of fat, pepper sauce was just from a packet of vegetables and had no taste. Not everything was served at the same time, in short, drama.

The terrace is attractive and nice, but the atmosphere inside is hard to find. The service does not come to your table on its own, you really have to signal or even call someone. They are very nice. We are staying at the park and thought it would be easy to have a nice meal here. My son ordered pizza, my daughter se schnitzel, my friend the hamburger and I (against my better judgement) the rendang. My son's pizza was okay. My daughter's schnitzel was dry and had no flavor. The pepper sauce was also tasteless. My friend's burger looked really tasty, but unfortunately it lacked all the flavor. My rendang was definitely NOT a rendang!! It was a tasty stew (with flavor) but you should definitely not call this rendang. Because the food was disappointing, we did not venture to dessert. Against our better judgement, we went for lunch 2 days later. Although that was a lot better in terms of taste, it was a disappointment. There were 2 tables occupied, yet they still had difficulty acknowledging us and taking our order. Pity. I can recommend having a drink on the terrace.

The food itself is good, atmosphere and service too. Just not a lot of choice on the menu in terms of dishes. Different map on the website than in practice.

We come here to play pool, have a snack & a drink. Employees radiate that they enjoy working. It's not super busy at the moment either... so no rushed employees. Order is delivered quickly. The pastries are wonderfully fresh. I think the atmosphere inside is a little less, mainly due to the ambiance.

The service is very quick and food and drinks are on the table quickly. Quite expensive in terms of price, okay in terms of taste but not great either. The portions aren't too small, so you'll feel full. If you want to get something hearty in your stomach after a long journey, it's completely ok here. There are restaurants in Arcen itself, but I prefer to visit them.

Here you should definitely take the rendang. My god that is so delicious. Also a great place to play whistles. Or half litres.

Service is top, drinks come straight away, food is at the usual Dutch standard from the hairdresser (tasty and hot). Prices at holiday level (high). The chip shop on the other side of the building has a normal price level 😉

Super friendly and funny staff.

Ordered an "Asian Chicken Skewer" at the Kloosterhoeve Arcen. What disgusting food. Dirty old, dry vegetables from a jar, some cheapo prawn crackers and a few over-year-old cashew nuts... what a mess. I was hungry because I was cycling from Nijmegen. I just ate the chicken skewers and the fries. The staff does their best.

What a hopeless event. Ok, having to order drinks inside isn't that bad. But indicate that somewhere outside. A waitress walks past 4 times who is cleaning up but does nothing else. Then please pass that on. Then order inside. Yes, you can order inside and drink outside, but you must pay immediately. Oh and a bowl of nachos, that's really not possible... only eating inside is allowed. It's summer some people want to sit outside. Having a drink and eating somewhere in Arcen was the better choice!

Great for a small snack or something to drink, it is clear what you take, one is better than the other. The Willy Nacho tortilla chips are not recommended, as compared to the Burgundian snack board, it is best to take it if you are with 3 to 4 people, otherwise it is too big for 2 people.

We had a nice breakfast there with 6 people, it was good and more than sufficient. Service was good and so was the staff.

Very tasty food with an extra lunch menu.

Unfortunately not more than 1. Seems like a very cozy terrace. However, after 20 minutes still no service. They come to serve orders but don't look beyond other tables. At least 4 tables where no service was seen for at least 20 minutes.

Nice in combination with glow golf

I was shocked at the waitress's attitude- she yelled at us!!!! We were with 3 families, we wanted to pay the bill separately. For the staff it was an insurmountable problem. Quote: "one table, one bill". Although it wasn't pleasant for me, I could really understand it if it weren't for the waitress' cheeky attitude. After asking the manager she just said that one bill per table is normal in the Netherlands. I understand everything, but just a month ago we could pay the bill separately without discussion - maybe the Netherlands changed the rules. Also, my 4 cheese pizza was a margarita with a shot of gorgonzola in the middle. Unfortunately I can't recommend it. I won't come back
