Unfortunately, we had an incredibly bad experience at B-Mich in Venlo. On a Sunday, we simply wanted to have something to eat and drink here, but things went wrong right from the start. Among other things, we wanted to order a cheeseburger, but were told that there was no meat available to even make a cheeseburger. That in itself is unusual for a restaurant on a Sunday. (after 15 minutes) We then sat waiting for about three quarters of an hour. Only then were we told that another dish we had ordered, the shrimp croquettes, was unavailable too. Of course, running out of certain products can happen once in a while, but communicate this immediately when taking the order. Don't make guests wait three quarters of an hour before telling them that their order cannot be delivered at all. In the end, we wasted almost an hour of our time here without being able to eat properly. The whole process struck us as very unprofessional and disorganized. The staff did not seem well informed about what was and wasn't available, and there simply seemed to be far too few employees present to keep the place running smoothly. Moreover, the atmosphere and organization gave us absolutely no sense that we were in a well-organized hospitality establishment. It felt more like a place where you might pop in for a quick coffee than a restaurant where you can trust that your order will actually be served within a reasonable timeframe. For us, this was a major letdown. If we had been told immediately upon arrival that several dishes were unavailable, we could have simply gone to eat somewhere else. Instead, we were nearly an hour down the line and, above all, extremely disappointed. Based on this experience, I would absolutely not recommend B-Mich in Venlo. In my opinion, serious changes need to be made regarding stock, communication, staffing, and general organization before I would consider returning here again.

What a filthy mess: everything is sticky. Tables outside, menus, the handrail to the toilets. Coffee served that had spilled over the saucer.

Had a delicious meal, a neat establishment, large portions at very reasonable prices, and a friendly host. Definitely worth a repeat visit!

Tables and even menus are very dirty. It is clear that the tables are not swept, and when they are, it is done half-heartedly. The friendliness is not okay either, especially from the blonde waitress. The look alone says enough when making a valid complaint.

Had a nice meal! I do want to say something to the owner; I find it strange that if there is a wheelchair platform in front of the door, you still have to go up a rather steep flight of stairs to use the toilet. Furthermore, I think more lighting could definitely be installed near the stairs, because when going down you have to descend through a poorly lit hole. People who are physically fit might not notice this... so this isn't a negative review, but something to think about!

I have taken a seat on the terrace twice by now, but to no avail. It wasn't really busy at all, but both times, after 20 minutes, I still hadn't seen any staff. Around me, there were also several tables with people waiting and many tables that hadn't been cleared. A shame... because people just leave again, which is what I did myself.

The dishes are well-seasoned and the meat is tender. The spareribs come right off the bone. The service is very friendly and the location is atmospheric.

We had a delicious meal; the sour meat and spareribs were fine. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée. It was tasty with ice cream and warm caramel sauce. Friendly service.

Despite bad reviews, we decided to eat at b mich anyway. Definitely no regrets! We had a delicious meal in a beautiful location. Very generous portions and top-notch service by Tren. She told us that the reviews were justified. They are now working hard to reach a top level again. As far as we are concerned, today, June 15, 2026, they have certainly succeeded.

There were nine of us. First impressions: nice restaurant, the waitress was friendly, and we weren't put off by the prices on the menu. After all, you want something decent! And to be fair, I should say that the other six dishes we ordered were apparently very tasty and looked great from my perspective. Unfortunately, I had chosen the cheeseburger, but the "dish" I was served was, quite frankly, an insult to all cheeseburgers in the world... I mean, it's a cheeseburger... You can't mess that up... Toast a bun, don't overcook the patty, and put plenty of cheese on it. You can even skip the sauce. What I was served was, to put it mildly, an outrage for €21! The bread was dry and fell apart when I ate it. Not toasted at all. The "meat," some kind of compressed frozen patty, tasted roughly like a 50-cent frikandel, pressed into a round, dry, and disgusting shape. It was topped with a slice of cheese and a tiny dollop of sauce, just enough to make the untoasted bread stick to it. There was a bit of arugula and some very coarsely diced onions. The fries that came with it were okay; they were a bit under-salted but edible, unlike the rest of the meal. The friendly waitress didn't respond to my complaint, and arguing with her was too much of a hassle. All in all, I'd like to implore the owners of this establishment, for God's sake, either remove this cheeseburger from the menu or hire someone who can actually prepare it properly. And I urge everyone who follows my advice to avoid ordering it again. We were there two years ago. The carpaccio we had ordered was still frozen. So we thought, "New chance… ordered steak." A large chunk of meat, still raw; there was a brown edge around it, but that was it. Couldn't cut through it with a knife… pointed out to the waitress that I really thought it was too raw… asked if I had ordered medium… didn't even ask when ordering. She took the plate back… came back after about 10 minutes. The same piece of meat, dry on the outside as if it had been in the oven for a moment, but of course, that doesn't cook it through anymore. Eventually, with a lot of lousy (it really couldn't be cut through with a knife), we ate half of it. Someone else came to collect the plate and asked if we had enjoyed it… um, no, so explained again… the only thing that came out was: apologies. Eventually, the bill arrived, and they had deducted the cost of a cup of coffee for the inconvenience… a very small compensation for an expensive piece of meat.

Sandwich: 90% mayo, 10% bread. Absolutely not good, sorry.

Had lunch (during which we were asked if we wanted a shrimp croquette). When paying, it became clear that this cost an extra €2. This was not mentioned when ordering. Furthermore, we had a small lunch where the poached egg had a flat surface. The sauce on the egg was unusual (a kind of hollandaise-mayonnaise). Salad was decent. Bagbread was much too chewy/hard for the cutlery. Staff do their best. I don't know if I will return here again. Venlo has several really GOOD options.

Apple cinnamon pancakes – tasteless and sugar-free. Homemade lemonade tastes like water. Not recommended!

Unfortunately, the fries were very bad and had already been re-fried a few times. Everything was very greasy. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back.

We sat outside in the first rays of sunshine. A wonderful atmosphere. We were able to enjoy it to the fullest, as we waited just over an hour for a cup of coffee and a latte macchiato. Almost every table was occupied and served during that time. We were supposed to be served different food and drinks, but not the hot beverages we had ordered... Then a latte macchiato and an espresso arrived at our table. Hooray, that was close! We kept the latte and said we wanted a large coffee, a cup. Then a small pot of coffee arrived, which we quickly decided to keep as well. Funny fact: When they were about to pour the second cup of coffee from the pot, there was only a tiny sip left. Less than the standard milk we had been given. We laughed a lot, enjoyed the sunshine, and happily paid €14, including the tip, for two hot drinks. Next time, we might try a different café ;-)

Our waiter was very friendly and swiftly helped us to our seats. We had the smoked salmon and gamba shrimp as starters, both were lovely. I especially enjoyed the salmon, it had a bit of everything flavour-wise. As mains we had the steak and "keuzestress"; three small portions of black chicken, lamb shank and limbourghisch beef stew (zuurvlees) respectively, with baked chicory on the side. These were also great, and I found the presentation on the lasy susan to be very nice. For dessert we had the crème brulée and the brownie, the latter being a favorite from the evening. Furthermore, I very much enjoyed the extensive list of available drinks and beers on tap. The interior felt very cozy and warm. I would highly recommend going here for dinner if you are in the area. I will certainly be visiting again.

Nice place, though it took a while for the main course to arrive. The onion soup starter was truly delicious, but I found the "sauerkraut" a bit bland. Otherwise, it's a charming place on a beautiful square in Venlo.

We booked a Christmas dinner with the family. A strange amuse-bouche of fish or meat (depending on the main course) on a much-too-large, overpowering waffle. The "famous" fish stew consisted of a plate of creamy sauce with two whole scampi floating in it. With difficulty, we found a piece of fish at the bottom. As vegetables, there was tasteless red cabbage. The rabbit leg was apparently from a dwarf rabbit. The cheese board mentioned on the menu from the renowned cheese shop Tebben was a disgrace. A piece of brie and two cubes of cheese that had probably been cut the day before, served with a piece of baguette. It was the first and last time we ate here. The service could have been more attentive, we could have drunk more, and the restaurant would have earned more.

We waited a very long time for our cake – we were told it would take a little longer, but a good 30 minutes?! – The coffee was okay.

Had Christmas dinner with the family. The room was beautifully decorated. But the food was terrible. A 4-course menu for €55. Salmon cocktail served on a flat plate without dressing. The fish stew was inedible. The red cabbage was awful. The cheese board came with 5 mini cheese pieces and a half-baked baguette. The service was friendly, but they were often forgetful. Glasses were more often empty than full. The price/quality ratio was poor.

The food was ready and at the table very quickly, and it was also very tasty. The service was also friendly, and you never had to wait long for food or drinks.

Very tasty and fresh food. We had a three-course dinner, and each course took 25 minutes before the next was served. In other words: super delicious food, friendly staff, but you do need a fair amount of patience and time.

Not great. Latte machiato tastes like shit and oat milk costs 1€ extra on top of 4,5€ shit-tasting coffee. 🤷

Service was very slow and unprofessional. We received a single, sticky menu for four people and ordered a brownie, a waffle, and pancakes. All with ice cream. Tastes vary, but none of us liked it, and the ice cream had already melted by the time the dishes were served. We won't be returning.

Yesterday, September 27, 2025, we dined there with seven people for our father-in-law's birthday. We've never experienced such a bad restaurant in Venlo. The onion soup starter was cold. The shrimp were nothing special: four small shrimp in a bowl with oil. The shrimp croquettes weren't even warm. The main course was brought to the table one by one, with a pause in between. All dishes were cold or lukewarm. Several dishes were also returned to the kitchen...it took a very long time for the new (or reheated) dishes to be served. As a result, some people had already finished their meals. Vegetables were included with the main courses, which is what you call vegetables. Fries arrived just as we were almost finished with the main course. This resulted in us skipping dessert. We then paid and had dessert elsewhere, followed by a pleasant drinks reception. Restaurant B Mich on the Kwartelemarkt in Venlo is a restaurant we will definitely NEVER visit again....

I had a cappuccino and a warm waffle with powdered sugar. The cappuccino tasted fine, but the plate next to the cup was dirty. The warm waffle was inedible; it wasn't fully cooked. You could taste that the waffle iron hadn't been cleaned properly; there were black specks from previous batches. The service was friendly, though.

It was a weekday for a wedding anniversary. It wasn't busy, and we had a lovely spot by the window. We had a three-course menu from SocialDeal: we had a great meal and plenty of it. The staff was friendly, and the table was nicely decorated with a balloon and hearts. We'll definitely be back!

Bought a Social Deal. The deal looked good. Only after buying it did I read the very bad reviews on other forums. I should have done it beforehand. The soup was cold and had to be microwaved. The staff forgot to provide cutlery with the food three times. The Straganouff sauce was simply disgusting and disgusting. The chicken and schnitzels were dry. We had to wait over an hour between the starter and dessert, even though the staff themselves had asked after the starter if the main course could be served immediately. (I received an apology and a free drink.) The white chocolate mousse for dessert was thin (almost milky), the crème brûlée was coarsely grainy, and the brownies were nothing to write home about. After eating, three adults had stomach upsets, and the children felt nauseous. Not recommended.

During our visit to Venlo, we had a delicious meal here. The service was very friendly, and the food was excellent. Highly recommended. The vegetarian options are great, and the burger was delicious, not as you'll find at many places, but it wasn't covered in fat. More than enough for a big eater. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. We ate there twice. Both times the service was certainly friendly, but a few things weren't quite right. We asked for fried potatoes, which are listed on the menu, and neither time did they have them. While we were given potato chips instead the last time, when we made our last reservation, they only informed us that the potatoes would be out of date (according to the staff member, they were dated, which sounds a bit odd anyway, but oh well) when our main courses arrived, and asked if we wanted fries instead. It then took a very long time for them to arrive, and by the time they finally did, we had both finished our main courses. These fries had to be fried in a separate pan due to my gluten intolerance, but there was quite a gap between our starter and main course, so the kitchen could/should have discovered and taken care of this earlier. The fries were also noticeably greasy. Last time, the crème brûlée had been in the oven for far too long, so not only had the top caramelized as it should have, but the whole dish had become thin and curdled due to the heat. Besides the potatoes, other things were out of stock; I wanted black chicken, which wasn't available either. The mint tea was also gone. Due to the Zomerparkfeesten (Summer Park Festival), there were few customers, which gave us the feeling that everything was being rushed. It was only around 7 p.m., and we could clearly hear the staff inside wrapping up everything as they were about to close, when the restaurant normally stays open until 10 p.m. We could also hear conversations about things that had gone wrong and about guests, which gave a less professional impression. There were certainly some positive aspects to mention as well. The zucchini soup was delicious, and it was accompanied by bread with spreads and even gluten-free bread. The steak was also tender and rare, as I had requested. Because most desserts contain gluten, I was offered a dame blanche. And as mentioned, the service was very friendly in both cases. Unfortunately, it's just lacking a more streamlined organization and a bit more professionalism. A shame, because it's otherwise a very pleasant and friendly place. With more attention to the points mentioned above, I think it could do much better.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't good. Had to wait a long time. Had to ask for cutlery myself. It took 12 hours. Everything was crammed together. A table for two, with only a few places to put everything. The fried egg was cold and dried out; I think it's made well in advance. The tomato soup was worse than a cup of soup, so watery. The croquette was fine. The staff didn't even ask if it was good. You'll never see me here again.

The service is incredibly slow. One person for 4-5 tables shouldn't be a problem, but priority is given to washing glasses behind the bar instead of taking or serving orders. The young girl probably lacks sufficient guidance. It's a shame, because she's certainly friendly. The food was disappointing. I definitely wouldn't order broiche bread with a €10 bread board. The hamburger is literally ground meat and falls apart at the first glance. Better suited for pasta, but not for a hamburger. I had lunch there yesterday and was very negatively surprised by the food and service. The restaurant appears reasonably decent and slightly upscale from the outside, and given the higher prices (schnitzel just under €20), I expected a correspondingly high quality. After ordering (burgers and schnitzel), we had to wait almost 50 minutes for our food – during which we already noticed the sticky and worn table – we finally received two lukewarm dishes. My schnitzel was about 2 cm thick and very tough, and I would describe the burger more as a "salad burger." The setup was as follows: a bun, about 3 cm of lettuce, and two unidentifiable meatballs, which we initially thought were vegetarian because the meat had a very strange flavor. Additionally, they were burnt black and had an unpleasant layer of cheese on them. On top was a shriveled, uncooked shrimp and a tiny dollop of sauce – that was the "burger." Our two main courses came with a salad consisting of a piece of not-so-fresh watermelon and two much-too-large lettuce leaves without any dressing, as well as decent fries. My schnitzel came with "vegetables" consisting only of a tomato and a few mushrooms. The tomato looked like it had fallen on the floor two days ago and then landed on my plate. The service was friendly, but completely overwhelmed and, in my opinion, unqualified for a restaurant that charges €20 for a "salad burger." All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

While the restaurant looks nice, the food is a disgrace! The bread platter is nothing more than a few sandwiches. After the main course, I was given a bowl of cocktail nuts without asking; for the long wait? And I waited a long time! And to think that there were five people eating there, including myself. After an hour, the main course arrived: black chicken... it was so salty it was simply inedible. The side dish, with a piece of melted cheese, was so hard I couldn't possibly cut through it with my knife. The salad mixture was covered in something unidentifiable, so hard it was inedible. The staff was very young and disinterested; more concerned with the supposedly annoying customer sitting outside and who should now go to that table, than with making you feel welcome. This experience was truly subpar... only the cocktail nuts were tasty... once, but never again. The service is terrible, and even emails went unanswered. With all due respect...I really don't get the good review here!

Great food, but everything took a very long time.

Last Wednesday we had a delicious 3-course meal via social deal. The food was really great and enough for everyone. You also got a delicious large salad with the main course. Definitely recommended!

We were there today and I found it really disappointing. The service was really bad. The waitress was friendly, but very inattentive. Even the second waitress who appeared suddenly took what felt like an eternity to acknowledge us because we wanted to pay. The food was okay, but not a taste sensation. However, the value for money wasn't right; I think the price is excessive for the quality and cooking skills. All in all, we won't be going here again, as I couldn't find anything positive about this restaurant, apart from the quiet outdoor seating.

Unfortunately the food was not tasty, onion soup watery with hardly any onion, chicken ragout cold and not tasty. Friendly staff who can't do anything about it. Kitchen/food was unfortunately not good and tasty.

The Pieterpad runners sometimes give each other valuable tips. For example, we were advised to walk to De Kwartelmarkt before the end point of the stage (station) and visit this restaurant. "Delicious coffee with", we were promised. We chose the warm waffle with cherries and a brownie (photo). Iced coffee with chocolate syrup (recommended) and fresh ginger tea The place is extremely beautifully decorated. Café-restaurant on various levels. Large terrace The Bodega Kaaskelder is a surprise. Beautifully decorated room with excellent seating comfort for a cheese fondue event. Finally: real candles on the tables and counter. Where else can you find that!

Something seemed to go wrong in the kitchen with our lunch, but it was resolved properly and adequately. We had a nice lunch. Nice service.

After waiting 1 hour for our food (while it turned out the owners were just sitting next to us) we finally got our food, but it turned out not to be the right dish. Then you order some more food and half of it doesn't arrive. Shame. We will definitely never go here again.

3 course meal eaten via social deal. Delicious food, smooth, friendly service. All dishes were tasty and the portions were fine. I have read previous reviews that were negative, but we all had a delicious meal with 5 people and will definitely come back here more often.

After the starter it was all very disappointing. Waited more than an hour for the main course and the worst part was the staff cleaning the bar with chlorine while we were eating. We were eating in a chlorine smell. So once, never again.

Service good, friendly. Had a roll with crab and avocado Crab (tsurimi) was present on the toasted bread. But could not find avocado. Asked the waitress. She would inquire. Did not get an answer. In short. The best was the halfum.

Had breakfast with the farmer's broelof with a warm welcome. We sat at the bottom of the cheese cellar, a nice room with a cozy atmosphere. And what a nice buffet 2 types of soup, ragout, delicious krap salad and egg salad and of course fresh meats and cheese and tasty sandwiches, fresh bread and delicious sweets. We will definitely come back next year.

It's a shame that such a beautiful restaurant is doing such a bad job. Young girls in the service but no catering experience at all and they just don't see it. Food takes a very long time, cutlery is not complete, starter is not served together, etc. Portions of fries arrived almost at the same time as the dessert and were clearly fried several times, so they were rock hard. And that while the place was barely filled.

The onion soup was very watery, the tomato soup not homemade, the steak cold, the schnitzel too thick and dripping with fat, and the black chicken way too salty. The service was friendly though. But it was first and last time.

Had coffee and pie this afternoon (coffee and pie offer 7 euros). Asked what pie there was. Rice, apple lemon and cherries. When paying, the rice pie was suddenly not a pie and neither was the apple lemon. Was pastry 🙈 according to the clever lady. So no more coffee here.

What an expensive tent this is. And the apple strudel is worth crying over. The sauce that comes with it is as thin as water, as if they want to make more of a little sauce by diluting it and thus catching more money. When clearing the table, I don't even have the decency to ask if you liked it. A couple sat down next to us, asked for the menu and the waiter didn't even take empty glasses from previous ones. They were only taken when the dishes of those people arrived. That's what it's called insight. No, a disappointment for us and also in terms of prices.

We got kicked out of a restaurant because my kids ate French fries bought next door to their restaurant. We placed an order for six people on the terrace of this restaurant, they accepted the order, brought it and five minutes later told us to leave their establishment. Accordingly, we didn't even have time to take a sip of what we ordered. The restaurant manager is an unpleasant person! I do not recommend this disgraceful establishment! Dementsprechend hatten wir nicht einmal Zeit, einen Schluck von dem zu trinken, was wir bestellt hatten. Der Restaurantleiter ist eine unangenehme Person! Ich kann dieses schändliche Lokal nicht empfehlen! We got kicked out of a restaurant because my kids were eating fries bought next door to their restaurant. We made an order for six people on the terrace of this restaurant, they took the order, brought it and after five minutes told us to leave their establishment. Accordingly, we did not even have time to swallow what we ordered. The restaurant manager is an unpleasant person! I do not recommend this shameful establishment!

We recently had dinner here. The starter, the carpaccio salad, was very tasty. Unfortunately my partner received a dirty (not washed) knife. After a comment about this, no apologies, but a new knife. My partner had 3 small dishes as a main course, chicken, stew and lamb. I only had the chicken. unfortunately this was barely more than the pan in the combination dish. taste was fine In the combination dish, the stew was very tough and the lamb consisted almost exclusively of fat edges, very dirty. Furthermore, the service was lacking. They came once to collect drinks, which were not delivered. Furthermore, the staff was not very attentive. Very friendly. When we entered, there was a crate of stuff on the first table. the second had a dirty cleaning cloth on it, as if they hadn't opened yet (it was 6pm). There were toys and indefinable items on the floor (under the stairs). also a lot of dust. Finishing done very amateurishly. As if it had to be done very cheaply, and that's the atmosphere there. The toilet was out of soap and paper towels. Unfortunately for us, it certainly won't be repeated.

Great cozy location, tasty food, very friendly service, price & quality is very good. I've been several times, sat on the terrace! I'm a fan!!❤️👍

We came to this restaurant to eat and were insulted and asked to leave because our children had eaten fries that they had purchased at another restaurant. We paid for our drinks, which we didn't have time for, and were paid an additional 6.50 euros short. We claimed that they had cheated us more than necessary and returned the money 6.50 euros. Because of this attitude towards customers, I do not recommend this restaurant! A shame

Friendly service, delicious food

We sat down at the table and it took quite a while before someone from the service came. Afterwards we received drinks quite quickly and food also came quite quickly. Meal salad was richly filled and tasted delicious. Sour meat was on the light and bland side, little flavor. Fries were a small bowl with hard pieces. Small salad that came with it was good. Fine, but just not good enough unfortunately.

We ordered food. Restaurant was nearly empty. After 45 min we asked and the waitress told us the kitchen did not receive our order. We waited and and there was an issue with electricity…. We left after 1h15 without eating …. Did not even offer us our drinks to apologise

What a letdown, don't eat a bouncer, it doesn't look like a bouncer. Scrambled eggs undercooked with a nasty vegetable mix and also tasteless. Was 200% better with the previous owner.

The wait for the food is very long, and you get an unbaked sandwich, it was more like a sandwich with ham and cheese than a warm sandwich. The carpaccio salad is more tomato than carpaccio. The bread with the croquettes is super thin and you actually have a loose croquette. It was disappointing

Very nice and cozy restaurant with a nice terrace, friendly service and the food was very tasty, definitely worth repeating!
