Grand Café Maagdenberg in Wijk 15 Venlo-Oost-Zuid

Had a great meal at De Maagdenberg. Our regular base for our Venlo chess club.

Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, excellent food and drinks

Nice place to sit and people watch. The food is great and it's also ideal for children.

Corry referred us to the neighbors' garden, because it was much too hot on her own terrace, given the "summer weather". Rarely have I felt such warm empathy. Super nice!

We were on the terrace today and were happy to have discovered a new, beautiful restaurant. My wine was filled to the bottom. Ordered an invoice, the wine on the menu was €4 and was charged €4.50. When I asked, the young waiter said inflation... that's why it was more expensive... strange, with 0.3 beers for €4 there was no inflation. In my opinion this is a deception and I found the answer cheeky. We would have liked to come more often, but that's not nice and we don't know that in other restaurants.

After we rented a room, other people were pushed in because of the crowds. Inappropriate…

We happened to be there with 6 adults to have a coffee. The restaurant and the outside area are clean. The outside area is directly on a street, but that doesn't play a big role. Prices and service completely okay. The coffee is hot and tastes good too. Toilet clean and tidy.

We ate spare ribs here. Awesome, this is how ribs should taste!!!!!Anytime again.

Great Grand Café, I had a delicious meal and I loved drinking ice coffee

Had voor vandaag een koffietafel gereserveerd ivm overlijden. Werd eerst gecondoleerd, wat ik zeer op prijs stelde. Zelf was ik te laat, alle gasten waren al aanwezig. Corrie bleef rustig, heeft me geholpen met de tafeldecoratie, een aparte tafel voor de overledene waar ik een foto, kaars en bloemen kon neerzetten. De koffietafel was zeer uitgebreid, lekkere soep, warm vlees, broodjes beleg, noem.maar op. Kan het U alleen aanraden als U op zoek bent voor een meer als goede koffietafel. De bediening, de vriendelijkheid, de empathie van Corrie SUPER, iedereen was TEVREDEN. Dank je wel, Mary

Cozy restaurant. The black chicken is delicious. When the weather is nice, there is a large terrace that is always busy.

Grand Café Maagdenberg is an incredibly beautiful place with many different rooms for different occasions. The food is really fantastic. An incredibly good cook! It is also nice to sit here in the summer months. The terrace is sunny for a long time. I have seen beautiful sunsets before. All in all, it is definitely worth visiting this place and taking a look inside. The building is so old and authentic, really beautiful!

Just had dinner at this hotel. Ordered breaded Val Dieu cheese with mushrooms, walnuts and balsamic vinegar. Received a plate of lettuce with 2 pieces of cheese. Indicated that everything was missing....the cook was not there, the boss had cooked. Received a whole euro discount! And when they saw that we wrote this review, suddenly 2 euros was still available. Never again!

Ten oosten van het centrum gelegen grand cafe. ( niet ver van stadion de Koel) We hebben hier prima geluncht. Kwaliteit eten is goed, de bediening kan nog wat leren. ( een bestelling vergeten als het niet druk is niet al te best)

Ik heb zowel ontbijt lunch als diner gehad afgelopen weekend. Ontbijt was goed, niet geweldig. Geen echte boter, geen vis alleen kaas en vleeswaren. En keuze tussen hardgekookt of gebakken ei. Lunch was prima goede soep en lekkere broodjes. Hier wel met vis. Diner was lekker goede vis lekkere saus en aardappelpuree. Bediening was goed maar koffie maken duurde te lang. Personeel was duidelijk onervaren maar deden wel hun best.

Wowdeal aangeschaft. Voor 10 euro keuze uit twee soorten soep. Was wederom alleen tomatensoep. In een veel kleinere kom als normaal. Maagdenburger was alleen een hamburger op een broodje met 1 heel klein stukje ui. Geen saus of niks.

Beautiful historic location with a very sweet owner, super friendly staff and excellent coffee! The food here is great, tasty, fresh, seasonal and has a great price-quality ratio. The restaurant is kept up to date in terms of decorations, fresh flowers on the table create a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended, also for a nice beer in the summer evening, or a warm cup of hot chocolate in the winter months. Come here regularly and have never left disappointed! Nice people, nice location, delicious food and sublime personal service. Recommended! To go!! Fast!!

Vrijdag 23 augustus, heb ik samen met mijn gezin en mijn ouders, zeer genoten van en gezellig etentje bij Grand Café Maagdenberg. Ik kan mij niet herinneren dat ik bij een restaurant zo in de watten ben gelegd. De nieuwe kaart sprak mij zeer aan, waardoor het soms moeilijk was om een keuze te maken. De carpaccio, lamsschenkel met risotto, de witte wijn en het kaasplankje waren in ieder geval voortreffelijk. We keken een beetje tegenop om onze jongste zoon van 5 mee te nemen, maar deze zorg bleek ongegrond. Het voor- en hoofdgerecht werd voor hem op maat gemaakt. Hij heeft met volle teugen genoten, zich netjes gedragen en veel aandacht gekregen van gastvrouw Conny. Het personeel van de bediening was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. De gerechten en de wijn werden zorgvuldig toegelicht door gastvrouw Conny en ondanks de drukte, hadden we op geen enkel moment het idee dat we lang moesten wachten of dat de gerechten te vlug na elkaar kwamen. Door de combinatie van de aansprekende gerechten op de kaart, de nostalgische ambiance, en eersteklas bediening, verdient Grand Café Maagdenberg een dikke pluim! Grand Café Maagdenberg was zeer verassend en een echte aanrader.

Beautiful, atmospheric location with various rooms and a cozy terrace. Had a delicious meal with six of us. Very (child) friendly and attentive staff. We like a certain taste of wine. This turned out not to be part of the range. The hostess Conny indicated that she might have wine that suited our taste. And yes! It was! Our youngest son, aged 5, really wanted to participate in the 3-course menu. He wanted shrimp for starters, pancakes and ice cream. All no problem. When it was time for dessert, the hostess Conny cleared a table on the terrace so that we could eat our ice cream sundaes outside. Really 1st class service! We will definitely come back!

It's been a long time since we had such a good meal. New chef, new menu apparently. Fish tasting, very nice. Very nice mousse salmon, tuna, Panko scampi, beautifully served, very tasty. Tasty sauce. Surprising. Special.

The Maagdenberg in Venlo is the place to be for young and old. Easily accessible by car, bicycle and public transport. Sufficient free parking space in the area. You can go to De Maagdenberg for the most diverse occasions. From coffee table to taking dance lessons. It's all possible there. Do you have special wishes? Ask Conny about the possibilities.

Celebrated my 60th birthday with high tea for my family and friends...it was not at all what I expected...I'm very sorry...unfortunately...

Informal service. Price - quality good. Weissenbier price too high for what you get in terms of quality/content. Otherwise good for a limited menu at a good price. Salads are fine. Can they still learn something from this in the city of Venlo, ic Alde Mert?

Nice pub, but not a beer bar. You shouldn't be here for that.

Unfortunately, only the candles on the table were warm. Fortunately, the AH is across the street so you can get something filling. It's a bit strange that there are dog bowls everywhere, which explains the damaged decor. Still had a nice evening made possible by the DJ.
