Five minutes later, a different number called me saying the order hadn't been processed. He asked if I could pass it on to the kitchen, as if I'd say, "Oh no, don't bother." He said he'd pass it on to the kitchen, fine. A few minutes later, I received another call saying they were out of gyozas and asking if I'd like shrimp instead. I pay for gyozas to get gyozas, don't I? I don't like shrimp. I wouldn't recommend it; the food tasted too ordinary, like something that was quickly prepared. I give the delivery, atmosphere, and food a solid 1.

Ordered a birthday lunch on behalf of our office. Ordered at 22:50pm - waited until 01:00am for the food. Only excuse was “Sorry we’re busy”. Had to call 3 times, and only answered my friends number, they then answered and they rudely hung up before the conversation concluded. They then asked if we could collect it instead of delivering because it was only close by… not the point of ordering in. Terrible experience, won’t be ordering again and would not recommend.

The two of us ordered about €80 worth of sushi through Thuisbezorgd at 6:30 PM. After about 45 minutes, we suddenly received a call from the restaurant saying the kitchen was closed (even though they were supposed to be open until 3 AM). They hadn't communicated this to Thuisbezorgd, and the restaurant couldn't arrange a refund for us; we had to do that ourselves through Thuisbezorgd. We then tried to contact Thuisbezorgd, and our only option was to talk to a shoddy AI chatbot. Thuisbezorgd sent us back to I Love Sushi and told us to contact them. After a lot of hassle, we were finally able to request a refund, but it was over an hour later and we still had no food or money. Extremely poor service and communication. I understand that staff shortages sometimes occur, but if they had, they should have immediately postponed the delivery instead of notifying us after 45 minutes. Then we wouldn't have had this refund hassle.

Afterwards, it turned out that there was a glitch in the system, but this was not reported anywhere – not on the website and not on Thuisbezorgd. After a long wait, we got in touch by phone. The order was eventually delivered more than an hour later than indicated, while our break was almost over. Upon delivery, two items appeared to be missing. The karaage chicken also did not meet expectations at all: they were not crispy pieces, but sliced ​​chicken with a thick layer of flour. The sushi was also somewhat disappointing. For an order of this size, we only received four small bags of soy sauce and no chopsticks, which meant that we were already without sauce after a few pieces per person. A phone call was made to promise that the amount of the missing items would be refunded and that I would be called back by the owner. A discount code for a next order was also discussed. Unfortunately, despite calling back several times, I still haven't spoken to the owner (promising every time that he will call) and haven't received my money back. All in all, I find this a very disappointing experience. Poor service, incomplete delivery and agreements that are not kept. For me, this was the first and unfortunately also the last time!

Extremely disappointing experience. Last Sunday, we ordered the “Lovers Box” via Thuisbezorgd, which was supposed to include flambéed salmon, salmon tataki, an ebi roll, and more. What we received was completely different: no flambéed salmon, no ebi, and only a few basic salmon rolls, some salmon sashimi, and cucumber maki — the latter being one of the only items that actually matched the description. We only realized the issue after starting to eat (as seen in the photo), and we immediately reported it via Thuisbezorgd. Unfortunately, we just heard back that the restaurant refuses to issue a refund. Besides the order being completely wrong, the sushi was of very poor quality — both in terms of ingredients and how it was made. Honestly, I’ve never seen sushi prepared with so little care. To make things worse, my boyfriend had to wait an extra 15 minutes at pickup, during which he witnessed the staff loudly yelling about a broken scooter and cursing — not exactly professional behavior in front of a customer. Bottom line: wrong order, poor quality, chaotic service, and no accountability. Safe to say we’ll never order here again — we’re just relieved we didn’t get sick from the food.

Unfortunately, I had to wait an extremely long time—until 5 to 3 in the morning—only to see the order marked as “delivered.” However, when I went to check at the front door, nothing had been delivered. I tried calling the restaurant several times but there was no answer. I was able to reach Uber Eats, but to my great disappointment I did not get my money back. In short, a very bad experience: no food, no service and no compensation. Definitely not worth repeating. Ordered through UberEats around 13, when no food was delivered after 1,5 hours (delivery time was 25 minutes) I called the restaurant. The owner said he only has delivery guys from 15 and a lot of bullshit about I shouldn't even be able to order like this from UberEats (they are open for delivery from 12:30). When I still didn't have food after 2,5 hours I contacted UberEats support to cancel the order and get my money back. As I am in the chat I get a call that the "delivery driver fell down" so they will cancel my order (they don't have another delivery guy?). I hope everything is okay and it didn't really happen but quite curious how their delivery drivers always get into accidents or fall based on the reviews here🤥There is no need to lie....just run your business properly or don't offer delivery....

The first order arrived was 20 minutes late, when it arrived the order was also wrong and to be very honest there was not much taste in it (way too much rice for the amount of fish in it) I I then called and apologized and they said it would be delivered again, which then took 1.5 hours. We had an appointment at the time and were no longer at home and did not expect it to arrive. The delivery person then stood at our door after 1.5 hours and we had a ring doorbell so we could see what he was doing. He was swearing, spit on the ground in front of our door, kicked the door and took a picture of our house to show it. to post on his Snapchat and we could all see that. The man who answered the phone was very friendly and tried to solve it for us, but I found the behavior of the delivery person really not okay.

We ordered a Box of sushi, but made a mistake by pressing cash payment. Try to call (8x) from 2 different numbers and receive an SMS on both numbers. One 'I'll call you back later' and the other 'good evening'. Explained what the problem was, got nothing back. Well, after some time. The order could not be delivered because a delivery person had an accident. (which is of course extremely annoying). Unfortunately we never received the sushi. Luckily we didn't pay, but no sushi either.

I am a very picky eater, I don't eat anything that doesn't taste or smell good. Difficult eater. I spent a very long time looking for a good sushi place in Leiden, because I just couldn't find one. Once driving on the hay canal, I saw i love sushi on the corner, went inside and friendly staff immediately helped me and even helped me with their personal recommendations. After some talking I also found out that they did delivery and I liked that too. Once the order was ready, we went home and ate sushi with friends. Everyone was in shock at the quality and I really wish I had known this sooner. What a great tent. All my neighbors, friends and family will also order from now on. Keep it up guys, top quality!

What a bad experience, really deteriorated. Ordered box A via the website, received a call an hour later: sashimi is gone. No problem, please replace with something crispy. Sushi arrives, mixed up, just cucumber, crab and shrimp. So no salmon or tuna at all. The soy sauce is diluted with water, the sticks are missing and the replacement cripsy is the same crab sushi with a few fried onions on top. No contact page on the website and cannot be reached by email for complaints. We won't do this again.

The order placed at 4:49 p.m. was supposed to be delivered within an hour. I received a call at 6:26 p.m. that the delivery driver was leaving in 10 minutes and we still had to wait. Another hour passed and no sign of the order. Finally, the order, which was placed at 4:49 p.m., was delivered at 7:40 p.m. An hour turned into almost three hours. This is another such situation. The food looked like it was taken out of a washing machine. I strongly advise against placing orders at this place.

First experience: With the exception of 1 type, the sushi didn't taste like anything. The one that did taste like something was warm and tasted like soup?! As if they heated up the entire sushi roll in the microwave or something. It was definitely not fresh and way too chewy and dry. We also ordered a wasabi roll, but there was nothing spicy about it. The delivery was very late, it was supposed to be there within 45 minutes, but it didn't arrive until after 100 minutes. Second experience: Within a short time of posting my review, the owner called to say he would like to resolve the issue. He would deliver our order again for free the next day at 6:00 PM. Whether we would like to adjust the review. We've been home all evening and haven't received anything. Third experience: After 5 days I received a call with apologies for not keeping the appointment. We then got the sushi delivered for free. This time it just tasted good, as you would expect from sushi. It's nice that attention has been paid to it! Therefore now from 1 star to 3 stars. Too bad the previous experiences were not good, otherwise I would have given 4 stars.

EDIT: After this review, the owner contacted me again to ensure that I would really get my money back, as the cancellation system was flawed. I finally got it back, so I'll adjust my review a bit, but it certainly wasn't pleasant. I recommend: order via home delivery instead of via their own site, then you will more easily get your money back if something goes wrong. Food for two worth almost 40 euros never delivered and never got my money back. Ordered food three weeks ago. Order canceled because the chef suddenly had to leave for an accident. He would put the order in the cancellation system and we would get a 50% off coupon. I've never seen anything like that. I tried to get in touch with them for two weeks by calling and emailing them: the phone was never answered and at the email address I received an error message that the email could not be delivered to this address (even though they did have this address). to send you a confirmation of your order). When I was in Leiden for a day (I live in Zeeland) I even walked there when they were supposed to open at 3 am, but no one was there. All this already gave me a very bad feeling. After two weeks I finally called the boss on his personal number (which he had used to call me when he had to leave for that emergency) and then I finally got him on the phone. I had not done that until then because it seemed terribly rude to me. He said there was a glitch in the cancellation system and he would try to fix it, and he would call me back 'in a moment'. After waiting four hours for that 'call back' I called him again. "I have passed it on and it will be in your account within three working days." That was last Friday. It's now Thursday and I still haven't gotten anything back. This was a great sushi place a few years ago, but since it was taken over it has been a crappy place. They are inaccessible, you don't get your money back, and according to a friend who recently ate there, the sushi is very disappointing in quality these days.

YUNIKU is truly my favorite place to eat sushi 🤍 The sushi is delicious, and the other dishes are also wonderful. Everything is good quality and reasonably priced. The drinks package makes it even better, so you can truly enjoy yourself without a care in the world. Always a pleasant experience and always enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We met my daughters there, and all four of us had a very positive experience; the staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive, the atmosphere was great (it was incredibly busy, but the tables were well-spaced), and the food/menu was just as it should be at a good sushi place. No complaints. We'll definitely be back.

Last Sunday, I ordered sushi through their website. I received an email confirming delivery, but the sushi never arrived. After an hour and a half, I tried calling (the weather was bad, so I understand if it was a bit late), but they had already closed and no one answered. The next afternoon, I received an automated email saying my order had been canceled. It might not work out, but please let me know so I could arrange something else.
