Delicious ice cream. Everything looks clean and tidy. We don't live in Meppel, but we had ice cream here for the first time last week, and it certainly won't be the last.

Ijsmakers still holds a special place in our hearts. When we lived in Meppel, we came here almost daily. We no longer live in the same province, but whenever we're even remotely in the area, we like to make a detour to grab an ice cream and a treat. They also have chocolates, cannolis, and all sorts of sweet treats, like "arretjes cake" (a type of cake) and Snickers bars.

Ice cream was ok but expensive for the serving size. 3 scoops that barely got above the cup edge. Definitely try a different location.

Unfortunately, the ice cream was tasteless for me

Yummy, yum, good value for money, but the taste was also good.

Delicious ice cream, just don't eat it outside in front of the shop if you don't like the smell of weed because there is plenty of it.

Pure enjoyment! Wide choice, delicious ice cream, chocolates, cake, coffee, tea, milkshakes, cookies, etc. You can sit inside and there is also plenty of room outside. There are also toilets available, freely accessible to customers, otherwise €0.50. Highly recommended!

I saw IJsmakers selling Canolli, so I asked their employee is this real cannoli made from Ricotta cheese filling ( because I am a fan of Italian Canollis) and she said yes, I risked, are you sure its of authentic Canolli recipe, because the filling looks like made from Slaagrom ( whipped cream in dutch) and she said, no its more from cheese and eggs. So I took 4 pieces and tried them at home, what a disappointment. The cream is made from butter (hard) reminded me the 80's from Soviet Union cakes all covered in sugared butter, and the baked part is made from almond flakes soaked in 10 kg of sugar, so its hard as a wall and extremely sugary. Considering that this shop also makes kindaa Italian Gelato, I'm faired it's gonna be another disappointment.

Definitely a good ice cream shop. But nowadays very expensive.

Unfortunately, children are not yet taken into account. Yesterday I had to change my child on the floor in the toilet. :( That doesn't change the fact that you can buy the tastiest ice creams in Meppel here.

Delicious ice cream, pastries. Super friendly staff and big compliments to the young man who helped us twice (different days). Our boys have milk allergies and he took that into account by providing clean spoons. Chapeua thank you! Nice swings to sit on.

Great scoop of ice cream! I would say let yourself be surprised by the pear flavor! You don't see it often and it is really delicious sorbet ice cream!

Lekker ijs, veel keus en prima prijs. De inrichting is niet mijn smaak, karig en sfeerloos maar de schommelstoelen maken een hoop goed. En ze hebben veel keus naast de ijsjes (koffie, bonbons, ijstaart ect.)

Ijsmakers is in a great location in the center. Where you can sit inside or outside. With swings inside. The many flavors of ice cream are all very tasty. In addition to ice cream, they also have chocolates, coffee and cakes. It can sometimes be busy here, but that is understandable because of the high quality.

Sorry but the milkshake was more like whipped milk and had no taste.

After a wonderful bike ride through the Weerribben, we enjoyed a traditionally prepared strawberry milkshake. Oh oh oh how wonderful, once you've tasted this you'll never want anything else. Too bad you're so far away from me. Compliments for the quality!

Three stars but not because of the ice cream because it is delicious. But the difference between a container with two different balls at €3 or one ball at €1.80 is the problem. You get just as much, but you pay almost double. It is different with the cones, which simply have two decent balls on them. But the containers that contain two bulbs should definitely be made a little larger so that they can actually accommodate two bulbs and not two halves.

Super tasty ice cream, great assortment, very cozy atmosphere in the cafe. The price for coffee is a little overpriced, but everything is great, my daughter especially liked the hanging swing inside the cafe.
