We always have such delicious food here. You're tempted to order the same thing as last time, but don't... there's so much choice, all carefully prepared.

The food was delicious! The portions were very generous and well presented. The staff was also very friendly. I've been to Thailand several times, and it tasted just like it here. Highly recommended!

The food is wonderful. We have ordered several dishes to share, and it has been a wonderful choice. The stir-fries with pork and beef tenderloin, with many vegetables and greens, have an atomic flavor. Very delicious and recommended. We tried the chicken spring rolls, and they were delicious, super fresh. The spacious, atmospheric place, dim light. The attention is very friendly.

It was a very pleasant surprise in Meppel. this place has a great ambiance and very friendly staff/owners to begin with. I am not an expert on Thai food but the food was excellent. Freshly cooked ingredients, maybe a bit spiced down to Dutch taste. Great night with good value for money

Yesterday I had a fantastic meal here with my daughter in our street. Beef tenderloin was wonderfully tender and the stir-fried vegetables were superb. Would love to come here again.

In one word: great! A simple looking restaurant but neat and cozy, also nice: open kitchen. The service is extremely friendly without being pushy. Also nice: the explanation of what is served. The food itself was delicious. We (my wife and I) had the combination starters: number 17, the self-made Thai flavor bombs with tenderloin and number 19 a mix of Thai snacks. Number 17 very special and original and also super tasty, number 19 clearly from our own kitchen and also delicious. As a main course we had a curry and a wok dish and these were both super tasty and good. Additional advantage: very good value for money (in other words: certainly not too expensive) So 5 stars on all counts!

What a delicious meal we had here last Sunday! Never had such a delicious Thai meal before. Very friendly service, super clean restaurant. It is not nearby for us (about a 2 hour drive) but if we are in the area again we will definitely go back!

We were in Giethoorn for a long weekend and drove to Meppel on Saturday evening to explore the city and have something delicious to eat in the evening. That's how we found out about Ton Nam Thai through Google Maps and we haven't regretted it at all 🙂 Very friendly service who also helped us with the map as neither my wife nor I speak Dutch. We had the yellow curry with tofu and once beef with garlic and chili. Both tasted very good and fresh. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

Due to the Corona measures, an extensive meal (starter, soup, main meal) was picked up here tonight. Ordering by telephone went very well and smoothly, and when collecting, the employees adhered to the Corona measures (keeping a distance of 1.5 meters) very well. The meal was very good, very tasteful and full of fresh products (greetings). And it was more than enough for 2 people (we can eat it again). Even in these difficult Corona times, it is recommended to simply pick up a meal here and enjoy this delicious food.

Despite the crowds last Friday that the waiting times were quite long before someone came to your table, they remained very nice and professional!! And the food is truly divine!! A pearl among Thai cuisine in our opinion!

Very tasty food! Due to an allergy I couldn't eat everything, but the Tom Kha soup was magical; so I didn't miss anything. Service was very pleasant. The waiter took the time for us and told us many interesting facts about the food and Thai culture. Furthermore, the atmosphere was very relaxed, we went home satisfied and relaxed.

Wat een verademing en wat heerlijk gegeten in Meppel. Eindelijk weer eens wat anders dan de zoveelste Black Angus hamburger, die nu werkelijk overal op de kaart staat. Ken je geen thais eten ga dan voor het verrassingsmenu. Meerdere gerechten worden dan geserveerd.

Heerlijk gegeten. Zeer smaakvol. Keurige, nette inrichting. Attente, behulpzame bediening. Absoluut een aanrader.

So far the food has always been okay, but the Massaman Neua we got last weekend was floating in the oil, there was at least a 1 centimeter layer of oil in it! It just didn't look right! The rice was also tough and dry. We ate it, but didn't enjoy it.

Het is druk als we op deze vrijdagavond, na een reservering,hier binnenlopen. We moeten een tijdje wachten voordat we een kaart krijgen en kunnen bestellen. Het valt op dat er veel afhalers dwars door het restaurant binnenlopen en ook de telefoon vaak gaat,terwijl daardoor de gasten in het restaurant moeten wachten. Dit alles moet een persoon afhandelen. Deze jongeman loopt zijn benen uit zijn lijf om af te rekenen, telefoon aan te nemen en de bediening aan de tafels te doen, maar kan het eigenlijk niet aan. Het is hem niet te verwijten, maar ligt aan de interne organisatie,die niet klopt. Dat is jammer, want daardoor is de bediening aan tafel wat gehaast en weinig persoonlijk. De akoestiek in het restaurant is beroerd, enorm lawaaierig, doordat alles hier van steen of kunststof is en nergens geluid wordt gedempt. Wij kunnen zittend tegenover elkaar ,bijna niet met elkaar praten. We kiezen uit de grote kaart een 4 gangen menu. Een mix van verschillende voorgerechten is erg lekker. We krijgen er een paar heerlijke sausjes bij, waar de smaak van koriander en limoen duidelijk naar boven komt. De tom kah kung was heerlijk en zat vol met groenten en natuurlijk grote garnalen. Na deze enorme kom met soep volgden het hoofdgerecht, gewokte groenten, een groene curry met garnalen en een kipgerecht. Alle drie verrukkelijk en meer dan genoeg. Of we de restanten mee willen nemen? Dat hoeft voor ons niet. We bedanken voor het dessert. Een van ons wil nog wel een heel klein beetje van het dessert. Het is ijs, maar wordt op uitdrukkelijk verzoek, een kinderijsje, want meer kan er echt niet meer bij. We hebben erg goed gegeten, smakelijk, goed gekruid, met de mogelijkheid de gerechten met chilly scherper te maken. Uitstekend! De organisatie van de bediening echter is niet goed en dat is erg jammer. Ook het feit dat afhalers midden door de zaak lopen, maakt het rommelig en ongezellig zitten. Dit is een restaurant met goede koks en een leuke uitgebreide kaart en heeft zeker potentie! Maar doe iets aan de akoestiek, aankleding en organisatie, want echt dat kan met weinig inspanning beter!

We went for the vegetarian surprise menu. Every dish was delicious, the service was fantastic and they offered to pack up our leftovers for us so we could enjoy the delicious food again at home. Top!

Het is er druk. Reserveren aanbevolen. De soepen zijn heerlijk. Als er 2 pepers bij staan is het gerecht zelf niet heet, maar je krijgt er gemalen pepers bij zodat je het zeer heet kunt maken. De Phad Thai met garnalen was prima. De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk. Het is een heel goed Thais restaurant!

Heerlijk gegeten en netjes bediend. Bij de wijn krijg je ongevraagd een glas water. Goede porties. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Sorry but it was a really good restaurant but I don't know but the last two times were just bad! The fried rice looks like leftovers thrown together! Thick white rice lumps that are cold, very tough and have no taste. The rest was also mediocre, especially the Thom yam gai soup. Unfortunately, for €50 you get dirty rice and tasteless food. Looking for another Thai restaurant.

Heerlijk gegeten! De porties waren ook groot en ook zeker betaalbaar. Het grote plus punt van dit restaurant is de netheid van het personeel. Ze werken allemaal met zwarte handschoenen die ook regelmatig werden ververst. Ook is het personeel proffesioneel en lopen ze niet bij je te ouwehoeren aan tafel. Delicious food! The portions were also large and certainly affordable. The big plus point of this restaurant is the cleanliness of the staff. They all work with black gloves that were also changed regularly. The staff is also professional and they don't talk to you at your table. The ingredients were also wonderfully fresh and well prepared. I will definitely recommend this to friends!

Once again we went to a Thai restaurant we had never been to before. We were a little early, but that didn't matter. We were led to what we thought was the best spot in the restaurant: the booth. The host was incredibly friendly. We were quickly provided with something to drink and the menu. We opted for a four course menu. We were asked in advance to what extent we like spicy food and what we really don't eat/like. With each course we were told exactly what was in front of us. Every dish was delicious, each with their own flavor. We left Ton Nam Thai with a well-filled belly (and a doggy bag). If we have to mention one negative point, it is the atmosphere in the restaurant. The music was fine, calm and appropriate, but we did not find the decoration very pleasant.

The food arrived very quickly and was also very tasty. The Thai gentleman served us very friendly and professionally. However, not all guests were treated equally. The Dutch boss didn't pay any attention to guests who weren't local, even though we also left money there and were his guests. Hence only the stars. At prices like that you just expect more attention.

Had dinner here tonight with my parents and brother. First time Thai food for us. The dishes were very tasty. We chose a 4-course surprise menu. I will definitely come here again.

The food was tasty and fresh and the waiting was not too long. You should make reservations on the Fridays and Saturdays. Price is average. Fried shrimp for the starter was my favourite totally recommend it.

Eating Thai for the first time is definitely recommended. Our children aged 9 and 12 also really enjoyed it
