IJssalon Venezia in Wijk 00 Centrum

Their quality has really gone downhill... I had an old, tough waffle and almost NO fruit, really veeeery little; previously the whole waffle was covered in fruit. Normally, whenever I went into town, I would always eat a waffle with fruit and whipped cream, but this was the last time, ugh, I ate it reluctantly. I read the reviews and wow, I was shocked by so many 1-star ratings, so very disappointing. This way, it's almost over and out for Venezia because people read the reviews these days; faded glory. I saw that many are complaining about the waffles, which were really disgusting, dry, and totally tasteless ‼️‼️‼️

It says that you close at 6:00 PM. On a Saturday at 5:45 PM, we walked in for a milkshake, but that was no longer possible because they were already closed. They were already cleaning up at that moment. Poor service.

We had a delicious banana split and my girlfriend had a waffle with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and strawberries. Fast service, friendly, and fresh. Good coffee too. In the middle of a nice shopping street. Ideal break for two moms with fussy kids. It was all gone before we even thought about taking a photo!

Have enjoyed lunch a few times already. Great atmosphere. The ordered items taste good. Staff friendly.

Received super friendly service, quick and delicious food.

Consistently good ice cream at reasonable prices

It simply wasn't good ice cream.

Orderd hazelnut eis with cream,a large glass. The glass was big enough for one eis ,and then PEANUT;S instead of hazelnuts, for that price and sevice ,i can only give one star. We will Avoid this shop and not recommend it at all.

Bad experience… We bought our ice cream, it took a long time before anyone came, even though we were the only ones there. We paid and sat down at a spot, only to be told very rudely that that spot was closed. We went to another spot, only to be told rudely again that we weren't allowed to sit there because we had an ice cream. The scoops weren't placed properly on the cone and were already almost falling off. Next time, please be a bit nicer to your clients…!😕

I ate ice cream, very clean and very, very delicious, highly recommended.

First time and last time Banana milkshake was a thick mush. Undrinkable. Toilets very dirty. Unfriendly service.

A very good place. Very friendly staff. Clean, and they also have ice cream, crepes, and waffles. And at lunchtime, you can easily get a sandwich.

Got two scoops of gelato. Service wasn’t that friendly, asked them what they recommended and they were like “I don’t know, whatever you like” 🙄 Strawberry looked good but tasted a tad artificial, hazelnut was good though, one of the best I’ve had. Had real hazelnuts in it too and I think a tiny bit of chocolate (like the ones in stracciatella) too. Eur4 for two scoops.

Unfortunately the waffles were very dry an had no tasty at all... The Coffee was great and the price reasonable. However the experience regarding the waffles overshadow the entire meal...

Absolutely delicious! Plenty of tables and a large space.

Very disappointing experience. The pancake was baked way too thick and honestly not tasty at all. The inside was raw, almost like doughy bread. When we mentioned it, the waitress responded very unprofessionally, saying “we always make them like this.” That’s really not an excuse !!!!! Overall, a frustrating experience and definitely not worth it.

I ordered a waffle that cost almost 5 euros and it was so badly made, it didn't even taste like a waffle anymore

Family-friendly place. I've been going there since I was a baby.

Pure nostalgia. Not necessarily the quality or the taste, but the fact that I've been coming here since I was a child is what makes this place special to me.

Hot waffle: cold, floury pancake, poor quality and flavorless ice cream, tasteless crème fraîche. Bad experience...

Terrible service. My husband ordered ice cream and I ordered a pancake. My husband received his ice cream and had already finished it, so I asked about my order. The woman ordered a girl, who came out of the kitchen. "Yes, it hadn't been made," she said. "There's nothing I can do about it; we're short-staffed." Is that my fault? She wanted to make it, but we'd already been sitting there for half an hour, so I didn't want to. No apology, but they were right there with the bill. You won't see me there again.

Very nice ice cream and coffee with cool extras and awesome prices

Very good ice cream. The sorbet is wow, it's to die for 😋 Very friendly and cheerful staff 👍👌👏

Nice Location. Iced coffee was ok!

I ordered a delicious summer sorbet here on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It was a busy place, so it took a while before we could order our ice cream. But the wait was worth it when the sorbet arrived. A beautiful sundae with four different kinds of ice cream, fresh fruit, and whipped cream. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Why not 5 stars? This was actually because the empty tables hadn't been cleared after the previous guests had left. This made it seem rather messy.

Amazing taste, soft texture, and nice personnel!

Delicious ice cream, friendly service and, above all, very quiet seating, even though you are in the center!!

Bought an ice cream here. I wanted to sit down, but I almost got kicked out because that's just for the restaurant. What nonsense!

We ordered and paid for something, but were still thrown out. That felt really unfair. We were tired and just wanted to sit down and relax. Now we're angry and disappointed. This wasn't a pleasant experience.

Small coffee with delicious ice cream. The service was very quick and friendly.

Ordered 3 scoops on a cone. 2 of the 3 were fine, but the pistachio had a metallic taste which made it not very tasty. The cone wasn't the best either, normally I don't throw them away quickly, but I did with this one. + no napkin tray or anything like that.

Cozy place with nice staff. Extensive menu and it is not expensive for city prices

Cutlery was dirty, plate was dirty with something that wasn't even on my order, very unpleasant atmosphere to know that something sticky was hanging on my spoon in my chocolate milk. But the food was very good, except for the fact that the cheese was wet, but okay, that might not be too bad, but the fact that my cheese was wet and there was something red on it, no ketchup or anything, no idea what it was, very bad

Ice what to do. Price also reasonable Only hygiene and clearing tables was a negative point. That's why it looked messy.

Really delicious hazelnut ice cream!

Very knowledgeable and helpful student staff. Very large crepe with a scoop of ice cream and crème fraîche, very well served. Coffee with good crème fraîche as well as hot chocolate. All for a very reasonable price.

Thrown out like a bad person because at 5:15 p.m. we can no longer have crepes

Great atmosphere and delicious waffles!

Delicious coffee from Blanche Dael And delicious cherries with foam pie/cake.

There are people who just complain.😡 We were thrilled, nice service. We had waffles with hot cherries, cream and stracitella ice cream. Delicious!!!!!! It's a shame this cafe isn't near me.

Another delicious meal at Venetia. Nice and steady staff and always helpful. Delicious ice cream and pastries, great atmosphere and not expensive.

Super tasty ice cream. Enjoyed it very much

Half-frozen fruits, dirty kitchen, dirty work clothes. Quickly forgotten

Disappointment. Ice cream parlour, Poor service because tables are not cleared, people return the items themselves. You have to ask several times to order. 1 older lady does almost everything there. Young girls have no insight into the catering industry. Too bad, so it can be improved.

Very accessible place, very friendly and helpful staff. Super tasty ice cream, delicious pies and a nice small food menu. The patty is recommended.

Just sublime. Wonderful food, nice staff, clean and very nice atmosphere. Gluten-free options are available. They make sure of any cross contamination by making questions.

The tastiest ice cream sundaes in Maastricht for years and affordable too!

Extremely rude and inexperienced staff! We have been coming here for years but the service is now substandard! Pancake was inedible and the staff also thought they were scolding us! Definitely NOT recommended!

Venezia is a complete disaster in terms of service. You call the waitress and after at least 20 minutes the lady comes to the table to take the order. The waitress has a wiping cloth in her belt with which she CLEANS ALL THE TABLES WITHOUT changing/cleaning/washing the cloth ONCE, so germs are carried everywhere, which is unhygienic. The staff is overwhelmed: on a market day Friday there are 2 waitresses who are responsible for taking orders, cleaning tables and bringing the ordered items to the table. Staff is unfriendly. If you want to pay you have to wait a long time. I ordered 3 scoops of ice cream and no napkin was delivered. If you have to go to the toilet you will notice that there is no toilet paper or not enough toilet paper. When washing your hands there is no more paper to dry them with, although there is an extra machine that needs to be refilled from time to time. The ice cream is of mediocre quality and prepared without any love for the work There are no ice cream flavors to choose from on the menu. It would be desirable to have more staff available so that guests can be served properly Cleanliness really needs to be worked on

Service hopelessly overwhelmed (more staff would certainly be appropriate) but friendly, it took a long time to place the order and receive the ice cream, no toilet paper in the ladies' toilet, all tables were wiped with the same cleaning cloth from the waitress's bag, ice cream tastes rather mediocre, no napkins with the order

It may be Pentecost, but adjust your opening hours on Google.

Very creamy ice cream and not too sweet, democratic prices, fast service. I love your praline ice cream, the hazelnut flavor is very pronounced.

This is a really cool place—kind of a family-friendly diner with an emphasis on ice cream that is gelato-style, in a wide variety of flavors. Many people were enjoying large and inventive sundaes on the Saturday I visited, but I was on the move, so I got a cone to go. Very scrumptious!

The crepes was really good and it’s big enough, give it a try ;)

It's a genuinely wholesome place to get comfy with a hot choco, a tasty pancake or great ice cream. Almost asif a little part of Christmas stayed behind.

Always pleasant, good coffee and delicious ice cream. The Tartufo ice cream from Venezia is very tasty. Venezia Maastricht, always a good idea 👊.

Beide gerechten inclusief twee cappuccino's maakten onze beurs €17,- lichter. Kortom een aanrader! Super de luxe 🙂

Altijd gezellig, lekker en betaalbaar.

Vriendelijke bediening, heerlijke warme wafels met vers fruit. Gemoedelijke sfeer.

Gewoon erg lekker. Snel geholpen en kwaliteit is erg goed. Ben super tevreden.

Pannekoeken zijn heerlijk en de koffie ook

Heerlijk ijs. Gelukkig niet zo mierzoet. Geduldige en vriendelijke dame in de bediening. Top.

Superlecker, sehr freundlich, bequem.

Goed ijs, snelle service. Zeer schappelijke prijzen en vriendelijk personeel.

Heel vriendelijke bediening. Zeer lekker ijs.

Heel vriendelijle mensen, service was perfect.

Totally delicious and generous. Lovely staff and a lovely "gezellige sfeer"! Highly recommended.

Gerne wieder

Good icecream and tables to enjoy it outside. For our taste a bit on the sweet side.

One of the best local local ice cream place. Try the mocha ice cream with cream in the scone! For the kids nice dor lunch: pancakes. Next week we will try The FoodChurch, recently open foodhall on Boschstraat 73!

Heerlijk ijs. Fijne plek om te zitten.

Gezellige ijssalon in Maastricht.

Bediening is vriendelijk. Een mooi, verzorgde zaak.

Terrible servicio.
