Cheap but nasty and unhealthy food.

Ikea it was very good pleac to take breakfast and join to see how all guests are happy, no table to seat. but now it becomes the breakfast very small and expensive, almost in breakfast a few tables is busy and the rest is empty. I hope If back like before.

Breakfast with coffee. Fresh rolls and good coffee.

It wasn't too busy that day, but unfortunately, the meatball count wasn't as expected. Two portions had 11 balls, and one portion had 10 instead of 12. A minor detail, and we left it as is due to other plans. Otherwise, just as good as ever.

If you are shopping and you feel hungry specially with children, it worth to try.

45 minute wait and they only served 10 people/families during that time. Then another 5-10min wait to pay. Staff is unmotivated (low pay?) and really doesn’t care. Food is ok but has become really expensive with extras for having fried instead of mash. Ketchup box empty…

Clean, tasty, lots of free dining areas.

Pleasant, informal atmosphere. Plenty of food and drink options at very reasonable prices. I went for breakfast this time, with a few extras. There was plenty of seating, and everything was clean and tidy.

What a shame, you now have to scan your receipt for coffee. Don't ask the pancake guy behind the counter if you want the receipt, just give him one. So you're left standing in front of the new machines, without a receipt 🤬🤬🤬 No one around to assist either. 5 of the 6 machines are out of order. Oh, and next time, please, make the chicken satay hot too.

The best thing we ate in Amsterdam. However, IKEA meatballs are IKEA meatballs. I highly recommend this restaurant – delicious meal, delicious dessert, and incredibly friendly, smiling staff. Warmest regards to the beautiful lady who served us the meatballs.

Tea glasses are dirty and sticky. Food has become expensive.

Just like any other Ikea, really. I did find the restaurant area dirty and sticky, though. We got there early, so it certainly wasn't due to a long day with lots of customers.

July 22, 2025, 5:01 p.m.: Either the CEO hasn't noticed yet, or he doesn't care, or he sees this as an IKEA standard: tables, benches, and partitions are sometimes extremely dirty, salads in the display are uncovered (see IKEA Oldenburg as a model), food (rolls) are sometimes left open and uncovered next to the queue and, of course, are exposed to a lot of the coughing, sneezing, and sneezing of the people waiting. An employee at the counter didn't know what "Köttbullar" was. The food itself tasted okay, and the service was reasonably friendly. You can't even smile; the service doesn't respond.

Today I had a really bad experice and I am really frustrated because sometimes I only come to the store for the food. I am a vegetarian, and also a Swede, so however silly it sounds I come here for a piece of home. However, with a recent menu change I was not allowed to get the vegetarian meatballs as a classic dish with mashed potatos. The staff said I needed to get the new tex-mex style or nothing at all. I don’t understand why I couldn’t be accomondated, especially since the same dish is being served with real meatballs and the only thing they had to do was swap them for the vegetarian ones. I offered to pay whatever extra this might cost but they refused to do it. Again, I don’t understand why I was refused as substitutions when it’s for example fries instead of mashed potatoes. Overall I found the staff very hostile and unwilling to listen to me, I love IKEA but this was very very bad.

Salmon with rock-hard potatoes and bearnaise sauce that looked like vomit. It probably was vomit. Sticky tables. My cup had mayonnaise residue from the previous user. Next time I'll eat from the trash can at Holendrecht station.

The restaurant here, like in every country I've been to, is impeccable, the quality is always the same everywhere, the taste is the same.

Nice to rest while shopping with a treat. Only it has become quite expensive.

The food is always great at IKEA. Great Scandinavian style food.

It's far from good tasty food, but it's very handy and comfortable, and can't be too bad. Free coffee is also not a bad idea. But today I was about to get a salad but I saw an animal in it. Yuck

Handy if you want to buy something at Ikea around dinner time. I wouldn't go here specifically for the restaurant.

Their food is probably better than their furniture ;) The meatballs and cream sauce are superb.

Breakfast has very basic choices. Meatballs only start from lunchtime onwards.

Geen succes. Menu gehaktballetjes,friet en doperwten waren weinig smaakvol. Sesarsalade ook niet lekker. Twijfelde of er wel echte kip in zat. Alleen gerookte zalm was ok.

Very little quantity. Not pleasant staff. I do not recommend

A lot has changed which is not for the better, it is now, so to speak, ice cold, the coziness that was there is completely gone, food is too cold when it is served "hot", everything is too cold except for the coffee and tea, which are warm and generally said, it has become a cold store, the brochures for the kitchen materials are no longer there and so on, it is a shame that they are throwing their good name into the trash bin.

Het restaurant is tegenwoordig werkelijk een schande. Prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is compleet zoek, ze staan met 6 man achter de balie en het aanbod is schokkend. Ik had gepaneerde kip genomen( 2 stukjes kip heel klein en gebakken aardappel een heel klein schaaltje) die zo droog eruit zag en waar ik aan de kassa € 9,95 moest betalen, ook alle andere art. zagen er niet uit dus heb ik besloten alles terug te geven. De vega artikelen worden je door je strot geduwd dus dit was de laatste keer dat we daar hebben gegeten wat inhoud dat we ook niet meer bij Ikea komen waarschijnlijk. Ik heb er helaas geen foto's van genomen zo boos was ik.

Ate a sandwich at IKEA for the first time. It was super busy and there were 2 long lines with people always trying to get in front. We opted for the panini, poffertjes, tea and iced tea. Panini was too hard and barely filled with anything, the poffertjes were too cold, I didn't like iced tea, it tasted like a kind of children's champagne and the tea tasted like chlorine water. So not worth repeating.

Out of all the ikea restaurants this is definitely the worst. It seems that the staff simply stop replenishing the coffee machines and put an out of order sign at around 10am. The meatballs are good, everything else is not really properly restock. Staff looked like they were forced to work there. Every other ikea has creamers for free, here they charge 0.50 cents each. Seems like the Amsterdam way of doing things. Delft, Haarlem and Barendrecht seem to attract more people and have great staff and atmosphere.

I had to pay 110 euros for 4 soft ice creams. And when I showed that something went wrong at Ikea, they didn't want to give me the money. Ikea: scammers

Vreselijk ziek geworden van de Zweedse balletjes. Het is echt een aanfluiting hoe dit restaurant gerund wordt en de kwaliteit van het eten. Voor winkelen prima maar gaat er nooit eten!

Swedish meatballs tasted as expected at IKEA. Instead of fries, fried potato portions were used for an extra price. Payment was made with a checking account card without any problems The table had a few crumbs on the bench. The problem in the reviews that were previously written is incomprehensible.

Not much flavor in the meatballs. French fries was only soso. Coffee was average.

Always good food, but for 10.5 euros the man I think is a bit less

For everyone with an Ikea Family Card, the Family breakfast is available on Fridays until 8/30, now with a 50% discount. You get a delicious breakfast for almost nothing and with your card you also get free coffee or tea. I also had bacon and an omelette and for 2 people we only spent €6.07. Eating breakfast outside is a lot of fun!

I’m specifically reviewing the returning services. The amount of time it takes to return something is way too long. Several times I even decided to leave the store as it was taking too long, especially when returning cheap items. You need to work on your expectations management and time management. The time I got my waiting ticket said 11:16 on July 27th 2024. The screen said that it would take 2-5 minutes. I thought that I would be leaving the store in a few minutes, great. But that was not the case. After 45 minutes of waiting, I decided that I waited long enough. This is a very bad experience, and again it wasn’t the first time this happened. Start improving your returning processes, because you may lose customers because of this.

Too bad the restaurant is such a mess. Food scraps and abandoned dishes everywhere

The food is okay but the employees are often very unfriendly, the paninis were once tasty but are now really gross, cold and dried out. Very sorry. Also a long wait because only 1 cash register was open this time. Still back to Hema or something next time, unfortunately...

Na bezoek ziekenhuis de moeite genomen om even te relaxen in het restaurant van Ikea. Bijzonder veel spijt van. Er stond een lange rij voor maar één kassa, dus eer ik mijn menu’tje afgerekend had, was het eten koud. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar!

Healthy, fresh food for a good price.

Very bad food and service below par. Had a pulled salmon sandwich, with the first bite there was a fish bone (that can happen, no problem) but after a few bites 6 fish bones were on the edge of the plate. When reporting to the kitchen, the staff turned it down. Happens and you don't get a new sandwich. We will never come to this restaurant again.

Food lukewarm. Buffet and cash register staff curt. Not customer friendly. Children's menu not complete. (coloring book / pencil / fruit you have to ask for) a lot of food. (Friday evening 5:30 pm) disappointment to eat here. Definitely NOT recommended. What a sad mess!

Today we have something to eat between shopping. Meatballs with fries. Meatballs were okay, fries limp and cold, loads of gravy/sauce on top. Top the fries with the cold cranberry sauce and no peas. But the mozzarella panini beat everything. Cold baguette with 3 very thin slices of chewing gum mozzarella and a little pesto. I understand that everything has become more expensive, but I do ensure that food is pleasant-looking and tastes good. This is too disgusting.

What poor quality, fries are inedible... tables dirty. And the choice in menus is becoming increasingly limited.

Well that was a disappointment. The food was cold, tasteless and extremely sad. A "portion" of salmon was slightly larger than a fish stick and you paid a fortune for it. The portion of fries could also be counted with just a few hands. The service was still okay, especially compared to the food. I remember when you used to be able to get a nice filling meal here for about a tenner, now the gourmet restaurant pays prices for food that seems to come from the garbage. The tables next door were also a mess, I had to wipe the table myself. I regret eating here, and I hope fewer people make the same mistake. Ps. By the way, I never post reviews, because I'm often lax, but this was so disappointing that I couldn't resist.

Very little options, unclear menu, sometimes I get peas and sometimes I don’t. Most of the time display is empty. Dirty utensils. I love that the food is good and cheap, but I rather they charge a bit more for better experience in general.

Was here around 1:00 PM, all the display cases were empty, no sandwiches, nothing. The paninis that were there had to be put back in the oven, sometimes people already had them on their plates. There was no soup. A very bad impression. Ikea Haarlem is much better. Sorry, we don't come here anymore.

Today at 1 p.m. most of the display cases were empty, no sandwiches, no soup, 1 buffet with a long line. Everyone looked at each other, like what is this. No IKEA, you are pricing yourself out of the market, especially in Amsterdam, it is much better to go to IKEA Haarlem!!!!

Staff is friendly, vegeterian mozzarella panninis are great when they are in stock (rarely), but the restaurant maintenance is a mess. One of the drink fountains has been broken as far as I remember and the other one is occasionally out of service as well (and they are only 2 in total). Cafe place is also closed. It can also get very busy at times.

Got food poisoning from meatballs to that extent that I went to hospital.

Cheap eats in Amster near our accommodation. Clean environment. Did the job for us. Recommend to everyone staying in nearby hotels.

Excellent buffet with delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Something for everyone for a very reasonable price

Staff is super helpful here. I would say outstanding! Food and Drinks are just what you can expect from IKEA. The team is creative with decoration and the music is really nice. Also the interior has different areas with different energy.

Wanneer komt Ikea eens met een site waar ALLE informatie up to date is. Wat heb ik met mededelingen uit 2019. Wanneer zie ik n u eens exact wanneer het restaurant weer open gaat en niet een mededelin g: we zijn gesloten. Ja dat zieet mijn neus ook. Doe iets aan goede info.
