We had dinner with a friend and had such a delicious meal! The service was very friendly and there's a lovely menu. The wine we had was also fantastic. In short, highly recommended!

It was our fourth time at Il Carpaccio, and just like every visit before, the food was absolutely amazing. Whatever you choose from the menu, you simply can’t go wrong. But tonight, Matteo our server truly stood out. His service was on another level. He expertly guided us through the wine list, explaining each pairing for every course with enthusiasm and knowledge. Thanks to his warm hospitality, this visit was our best one yet.

It's a really nice place, the atmosphere is great, the menu is good, and the staff is friendly. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the food, but they handled that very well, so I don't really care anymore. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Zwolle.

Rarely had such a disappointing evening. Starter (Bruschetta) was tasteless. When the requested salt did not arrive, half of it was sent back. Then waited 1.5 hours for the main courses. Risotto was ok, but the mango was so sweet that it was more of a dessert. The rest of the main courses were the steak well-done while medium-rare was requested. Since the pasta was also dry and tough, as if it had been under the heat lamp for too long, this was also not a success. The service, which was understaffed, did its best and was friendly, but they could not turn this fiasco around. Fortunately, a few dishes were taken off the bill, but nevertheless overpaid.

The food was very tasty – the oysters in particular were delicious. We were served by a friendly Asian lady (according to the receipt her name was Lisanne?). She was professional and hard working all evening. Unfortunately, one of the main courses did not arrive on time, and because our schedule was tight, we were unable to order it again. Fortunately, this was resolved nicely: the kitchen quickly made an alternative main course, so that we could leave on time.

I don't quickly write a bad review, because I understand that things can sometimes go wrong everywhere. But this was really bad. To start with, we didn't get our starter until after 2 hours. In addition, we were constantly forgotten, so empty glasses all evening and when we ordered it took a very long time or it did not arrive. Furthermore, we only received our main course 3 hours after arrival and the pasta was cold. The meat was well prepared. We were offered to order new pasta “this would take a while”, but when it finally arrived, the pasta was not even cooked… Since no one came to our table, we called the waiter again. When we mentioned the problem we got into a heated argument. Long story short: having to pay full price for bad service and not good food. Very unfortunate, especially considering the prices they ask

Om 18.30 uur binnen en pas na 2 uur voorgerecht. (Uitleg gastheer: jullie kwamen tijdens spitsuur binnen en met een groep…) we hadden carpaccio en vitello tonnato, die wel lekker waren overigens. Hoofdgerecht een uur later met koude/lauwe en niet-gare pasta. Er was slechts 1 van de 7 couverts met hete pasta. Vlees was lekker, gastvrijheid bijzonder slecht. Uiteraard werd aangeboden de pasta te vernieuwen, maar daar weer op wachten en alleen de pasta zou vervangen worden… Toch voor 1 couvert nieuwe pasta gevraagd, wel heet maar weer niet gaar. Teleurstelling geuit bij gastheer, die vooral in discussie gaat. Eens maar nooit meer. Slechte gastvrijheid, vette teleurstelling en wel een rekening van € 475,00. De prijzen staan hier absoluut niet in verhouding tot wat je krijgt.

What a ball tent… We were not received in a friendly or hospitable manner and when we said something about it, we were ignored for the rest of the evening. We arrived at 6:30 PM and our starter arrived at 8:30 PM. An hour later the main course arrived, which was not warm or not cooked properly. All in all; not hospitable service with rehearsed sales, the food took a long time and the main course was not good. What Italian restaurant can't cook decent pasta? Definitely not right value for money. I would like to advise you to have a nice meal at a pizzeria. Have a nice evening!

Heel verrassend restaurant! Een soort fusion Italiaans. Aanrader! Zeer vriendelijk personeel. We werden met rust gelaten en konden daardoor fijn en ongestoord bijpraten.

Lekker eten, gezellig kader, maar spijtig: obers zijn vooral bezig met aan ingestudeerde upselling te doen. En dat is niet fijn.

A real disappointment. Atmospheric bright light, bare space. Bad service, took a long time, our order was forgotten and nothing else was thought of. Food was also very disappointing. With almost every dish there was something wrong or missing. Tiramisu was impossible to order, and that on a Friday evening. And then pay the full price. I normally don't complain like that, but I thought it was a real waste of my money.

Nice and cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. I personally found the bruschetta disappointing. But the Italian hams are very tasty. The main course was plenty and delicious. The cheesecake okay!

Great Italian restaurant! The menu contains very nice options, with also some unusual dishes which is distinctive from your standard restaurant. Definitely difficult to make a perfect choice with the many options I wanted to try. Also the manner in which the dishes are prepared and served is a nice surprise, different than what you are used to in a good way. The wine menu is really impressive. A wide variety of options, in terms of tast and quality. Service by the staff is excellent, very high level but still very friendly and approachable. Highly recommended!

Dined here for a special occasion. It just disappointed us. The staff was very friendly. Our starter was only served after an hour and a quarter, and an ingredient was missing from one dish, which turned out to be the seasoning (pesto). Reported this and received an apology. However, most of the dish was already finished (because we were getting hungry by now). One main course was also a bit disappointing. The pasta was dripping with grease, and the zucchini in the dish was quite 'al dente'. I had already eaten more than half of the dish when I was asked if everything tasted good, and I indicated that the pasta was not very tasty and very greasy. They asked if the dish could be taken to the kitchen to show how greasy it was. I said this was good. I didn't really think about it that I ended my main meal with that, because no alternative was offered. We were later told that it was indeed not good (too greasy) and due to the busyness in the kitchen, things did not go well. This was due to a large table in the restaurant making 'last minute changes to orders' and therefore the kitchen was too busy. It can happen of course, but it's a shame for us. To compensate for the mistake with the starter and main course, we were offered a dessert on the house. That was very tasty! However, unfortunately we were not left with a satisfied feeling from this evening of dining. Given the prices charged, we expected something more special.

We had a delicious meal at Il Carpaccio. Actually, the name does not do the restaurant justice because in addition to the various carpaccios, there was also more than enough choice of different pastas for the main course. The spaghetti aglio with tenderloin and gorgonzola sauce is highly recommended. The restaurant has an intimate atmosphere with pleasant and prompt service. Unfortunately we are not from the area, but otherwise we would certainly have come back more often.

Lekkere variatie op de italiaanse keuken. Goede prijs voor bijzonder lekker eten. Op een zaterdagavond geweest en hierdoor af en toe wat lang moeten wachten tussen de gangen door. Verder alles erg naar wens!

Unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. We had made a reservation months in advance. When we arrived the restaurant was closed. Drove to Zwolle for nothing, there was nothing left to escape to on Sunday evening. We contacted the restaurant by email, but had no response! Then we picked up the phone, we received an apology and would be called back. The restaurant forgot to cancel our call, they were closed that day due to circumstances. Didn't get a call back from the restaurant, contacted them again. He indicated that he would now call back. Haven't had a phone yet. In terms of service, this restaurant is really below par.

Nice summer evening in great company, but not really impressed by the restaurant. Either the overall quality and service must clearly increase, or the prices must be reduced. For the money we paid, there are better alternatives available......

Yesterday we got a table inside with adults and 2 children. The weather was very warm and when we made the reservation we were told that unfortunately there was no space outside but there was a table inside and it would be warm. In short, that's how the great evening began. Top staff, one of the best restaurants we have visited. We would like to give 6 stars. Great concept from the owner who we would like to get to know.

Heerlijk gegeten, de bediening was correct, de ruimte gezellig, de wijn heerlijk....eigenlijk heel positief, MAAR de openingszin, toen we net zaten, was: 'Mag ik u een glaasje prosecco aanbieden?' Misschien heel naïef van ons, maar wij dachten dat dit een welkomstdrankje van het huis was. Op de rekening wordt er toch €7,50,- per glas gerekend. Dan voel je je toch...hoe zeg ik dat netjes....een tikje bedrogen. Als je je niet laat leiden door de letterlijke tekst van de bediening, dan is dit restaurant absoluut aan te bevelen. Zonder ironie.

Once, but not again. My husband's coat was hospitably hung on the coat rack by the waiter. The coat was gone when we left. The waiter knew immediately that he had mistakenly given the other customer the wrong one. The other customer turned out to have a foreign telephone number. He did not answer and he did not report. It was a beautiful jacket! To make a long story short. A week later the manager denies that he can do anything. And there is no compensation whatsoever. What an incredibly cramped club. Below Zwolle level.

Business dinner; nice place, had to wait a while before we could order our first course, but immediately apologized and received a bottle of house wine. Food was delicious and sufficient. Good atmosphere and welcoming service!

Excellent dishes in themselves, but due to limited time my wife and I recently only had a main course and my risotto was unfortunately a toddler's portion. Really very little. I mentioned this to a waitress and she then said that they reduced the portions because "everyone" complained that it was too much so they reduced the portions.

A chic restaurant where I was welcomed with a spoonful of something complicated with eggplant. Tasted great. The carpaccio reggiano beforehand was fine, but personally I didn't like it much. The same applies to the filetto Di manzo all'aglio e oil. The tenderloin was excellent, the spaghetti was quite plain. Now I must immediately admit that I am not really familiar with Italian cuisine. Service excellent. Presentation excellent. Price on the high side.

What a wonderful place! The good stories were amply confirmed. The service is just that little bit extra. I thought starting immediately with bubbles as a suggestion was a good start. And the food was really delicious. Everything has been taken care of down to the last detail with just an extra touch of taste and creativity. The wine also tasted fantastic. Definitely worth repeating.

During a visit to Zwolle, we had dinner in the restaurant 'Il Carpaccio'. Chose the restaurant based on the many good reviews. This more luxurious Italian restaurant (not a pizzeria!) is indeed very attractive in terms of location (the heart of Zwolle) and design. The food and drinks were good, but the service was not at the level you would expect for such a price level (about 70 euros pp.). For example, we had to wait quite a long time upon arrival before we were offered a drink and the waiting time between dishes was quite long. And this was apparently also the case with other guests. No idea what caused this... there seemed to be enough waiting staff present (who were friendly by the way). Personally, I missed proactive and expert wine advice with our dishes. That could be better. All in all, our high expectations were unfortunately not fully met...

Service is attentive and they have tasty Italian food. According to my mother and the neighbors next to us, they also have nice wines. Nice ambiance, and therefore definitely recommended for the holidays!🥳

Op een vrijdagavond fantastisch gegeten samen met een vriendin. We stonden op de wachtlijst en werden gebeld dat er plekje vrij was gekomen. Op aanraden van diverse mensen gekozen voor Ill Carpaccio. Bij binnenkomst in de fijne gezellige ruimte met mooi licht, gaan zitten aan een ronde tafel. Gestart met een glas bubbels en daarna de kaart bekeken. Wij hadden beide behoorlijk last van keuzestress. Uiteindelijk gekozen voor de bruschetta met zalm avocado en ricotta op een brioche broodje. Vervolgens beide een overheerlijke carpaccio die we hebben gedeeld, en het hoofdgerecht bestond uit een fantastische risotto met burrata en een pasta met ossenhaas en truffel ( wederom gedeeld ) en als toetje een ijstaart van toffee en karamel. De bediening voelde heel goed aan wat wanneer wenselijk/nodig was en vroeg ook na het voorgerecht of we wat tijd er tussen wilden laten voor het volgende gerecht, prima meegedacht. Wellicht een kleine tip: aanbieden van de wijnkaart nadat de gerechten zijn doorgegeven, wij vroegen er deze keer zelf om alvorens ons hoofdgerecht werd gebracht. De sfeer was ontzettend ontspannen, gezellig en warm. Communicatie was in orde en iedereen was heel attent. Ik heb meteen opnieuw gereserveerd voor het nieuwe jaar. Wij zeiden tegen elkaar: " Hier ga je écht uit eten". Absoluut een aanwinst

Gisteravond weer bij Il Carpaccio gegeten. Ondanks dat er van eigenaar is gewisseld een prachtig restaurant. Sober en ingetogen maar toch gezellige inrichting. Wijnkeuze naar mijn smaak. We kozen de Valpolicella Ripasso. Heerlijk. Als voorgerecht spaghetti olio aglio perpeochino. Heerlijk! De pasta heerlijk al dante.ook de spies met gamba en pulpo met salade met mango. Super! De kalfs ribeye op pasta was ook puur genieten. De tagliatelle met truffel en venkel. Lekker! De kaas en een ijsje maakte de maaltijd af! Wij hebben een super gezellige avond gehad en genoten van dit top restaurant!

Erg lekkere risotto en goede pastagerechten. Echt lekker eten en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Ze hebben Peroni bier!!!

Sehr gutes Restaurant. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Einziger Kritikpunkt war über eine Stunde Wartezeit zwischen der Vorspeise und den Hauptgang.

Il Carpaccio ligt midden in het mooie centrum en aan een van de gezelligste pleinen van Zwolle. Het restaurant straalt een luxe sfeer uit. Het personeel is vriendelijk. Het eten en de wijnen is fantastisch! Heerlijke nagerechten. We hebben een geweldige avond gehad met onze vrienden.

We went into town and had some really fresh oysters and prosecco for starters. It was a perfect lovely summer evening in the centre of town. Not cheap but worth the money.

Deze week voor het eerst bij Il Carpaccio gegeten en wat was het lekker! Een fijn restaurant met een kleine kaart maar waar je écht Italiaans eten geserveerd krijgt. De bediening is alert en snel, het eten is heerlijk en het terras heel gezellig. Zeker een aanrader, hier kom ik terug!

Heerlijk gegeten oesters vooraf die waren zo vers en lekker nog maar een paar bij besteld. Daarna een salade met geitenkaas, een goede portie een heerlijke combinatie met onder andere venkel avocado en komkommer asperge en een goede dressing. mijn man had de vissoep die rook en smaakte ook heerlijk. Hoofd gerecht een risotto met gepofte gele biet, saffraan en burrata en een penne met kippendijen en garnalen in een saus van citroen, parmezaan en kappertjes. De bediening was heel goed en vriendelijk. Omdat ik voor het grootse deel vegetarisch eet probeer ik altijd restaurants te vinden die ook goede gerechten met groenten kunnen maken en dit restaurant is zeker een aanrader!

Well, the restaurant is located in a beautiful place and the food was great. So was the wine. But. It took longer that 1 hr to get the main course. And then we’ve waited for another hour for our desserts to only figure out that they were never coming. They didn’t put in the order and closed our tab since it was already the closing time. We’ve waited for nothing before a 100 kilometres drive home. Wanted to ask where’s our food earlier, but otherwise very pleasant waiters were almost actively avoiding us. This was not even the busiest day of the week… what a pity.

Super knus restaurant. Leuk om te zitten en goede sfeer qua belichting en kaarsjes. Eten en service was ook gewoon goed. Zeker een aanrader.

Heerlijk eten en een mooi klein rustig restaurant. Perfect om met z'n tweeën of een klein gezelschap te gaan eten. Voor mijn persoonlijke smaak had het hoofdgerecht een tikje te veel zout. Helaas hadden we geen tijd voor dessert en koffie. Maar dat komt wellicht een volgende keer.

Erg lekker gegeten in een sfeervol en gastvrij restaurant. Pollo, gamberetti e limone is een echte aanrader. Qua nagerecht waren zowel de sgroppino als de panne cotta met witte chocolade en aperol spitz sorbetijs echt heerlijk.

Leuke inrichting, erg vriendelijk personeel, het eten is nogal duur voor wat je krijgt, want de kwaliteit is niet geweldig. Ikzelf had een enorm stuk taaie lamsschenkel. De wijn is ongelofelijk duur, vandaar dat ze geen wijnkaart hebben

Een ietswat kleine locatie, waardoor het een stuk rustiger is. Het eten was erg goed. Vlees was mals en goed op smaak, de spaghetti eveneens goed. De service is goed te noemen en je hoeft niet lang te wachten. Al met al een goede ervaring met zeer goed eten tegen een goede prijs. Zeer aan te raden.
