Siciliano really remains highly recommended. We have been here several times now. The food is very good! Be sure to try the antipasti Siciliano as a starter. The service is friendly and attentive. There is always a little extra attention for young children. We had a delicious starter, pasta, and pizza. All top-notch! With good and fresh ingredients. If you are still hesitating: just go for it!!

The food is delicious. However, there is always a lot of noise, which can be solved by hanging curtains. The staff is extremely friendly.

Was here with my colleague because I had helped him drop off some things. We went here for a meal together as a thank you. It was delicious and the staff working there are very friendly. My last order was delivered cold. Additionally, I had ordered a pizza with burrata, but the cheese didn't look like burrata at all. When I called to politely mention this, I received no understanding, but instead a rude response. There were even multiple employees getting involved, making it feel like I had to defend myself even though I only had a normal complaint. Eventually, the money was refunded with difficulty because they were “too busy” to help me, but I would have preferred to simply receive the pizza I had ordered with a ball of burrata. A new pizza was brought, along with two small bowls of cheese, apparently to prove that it was burrata? However, that cheese didn't look at all like what you would expect from burrata either: no creamy center that you spread and melts, but a firm ball of mozzarella-like, grainy cheese. Mistakes can happen, especially when it is busy. But the way you are treated as a regular customer when you have a complaint is at least as important to me. It is a shame, because this was always a place where I enjoyed ordering. After this experience, I will think twice before ordering from here again.

Il Siciliano is a great place for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. The pizza on a thin, crispy crust is delicious and topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The pasta is also incredibly flavorful and has an authentic Italian character. A big plus is the very fast delivery. Highly recommended!

the food, that's what it's all about and that is the most important thing well, that is absolutely fine at this restaurant but where I feel "hospitality" at a restaurant at best, at this restaurant it was the ultimate form of it. what friendly service and what a lovely owner but again: it is about the food, and it is *so* tasty there! it is a good thing I don't live in Spijkenisse myself, otherwise I would come here every week!

We tried pesto and 4 formaggi pizza, and profiterol as the dessert. Pizzas were delicious and portion size was giant. The profiterol was also good though, I wish it had a better cream inside and better chocolate topping outside.

Had lunch but found the salmon panini very sparsely filled; it was topped with tiny pieces of chopped salmon flakes and a large mound of arugula. A shame, otherwise tasty, but certainly too little for 12.50. The pasta and pizza are large portions though.

This is the first time I am submitting a review. I ordered sole and the fish was cooked in an aluminum foil packet. First of all, it was cooked for far too long, making the fish very dry. Furthermore, the fish did not taste like sole; it was too tough for that. Additionally, it lacked flavor and I felt a lot of resistance to eating it. Consequently, I did not do so. Unfortunately, the potatoes and vegetables were also not well prepared. I mentioned this when collecting the plates. She found it very unfortunate, but nothing more was said about it. No one came over to us. We were charged the full price. No attempt was made to keep us as customers. Very disrespectful. And I was very friendly, but I was even given strange looks. As if I had done something wrong. And the coffee tasted like strong instant coffee.

We had a delicious meal here tonight! We had never been there before, but we will definitely come back. Such lovely dishes.

We had dinner here with 4 people. The staff is friendly and the place is run by real Italians. The atmosphere isn't bad, but the decor could certainly have been better. As it is, it feels a bit cold and lacking in atmosphere and doesn't immediately make you think of Italy. The most important thing, of course, is the food. We ordered 2 sirloin steaks, 1 pizza, and 1 veal cutlet. The pizza was good and the veal cutlet was very tasty, so it is highly recommended. Unfortunately, the sirloin steaks were less impressive. The meat was very dry and tough, making it difficult to eat, and the taste wasn't what it should be. The piece of meat was also very thick compared to how it is served on average. That is probably the reason it was dry and tough. So, the dining experience varied greatly from dish to dish. The dessert (ice cream) wasn't particularly special, but the taste was simply good. For lovers of sweet white wine, this is definitely the right place. Order the Moscato, and with your first sip you know it can't be the wine's fault that evening, because it is simply top-notch!

For lunch, on the recommendation of the waitress, I had a roasted pork sandwich. It tasted delicious on a nice, slightly sweet bun.

My order was delivered over an hour late, despite calling several times. First, they said the delivery driver was standing in front of a closed door, later that he'd been inside, while the driver who finally showed up said the first driver spoke poor Dutch and didn't understand. The restaurant even said, "I'm not saying you're lying, but I don't know who to believe." No apology, no compensation, lukewarm pizza—very disappointing.

We ate here for the first time, and we'll definitely do it again! The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the service is very fast, and the food is of good quality.

After waiting for 3 hours you expect a perfect calzone ........ well, nothing of the sort. The bolognese sauce was dried up, the minced meat was torn, you had to search for the filling, almost cold, so cold that the mozzarella balls had shot back into their spherical shape.

The staff are friendly and very attentive. However, it's a very cramped space.

We eat here about twice a year with the football team. It's always a great atmosphere, and the food is absolutely delicious. Everything is freshly prepared. Excellent value for money, definitely recommended!

Great spot for good pasta or pizza. It's also a lovely place to relax outdoors. There were actually too few staff for the number of covers, but those serving were hard at work. The scroppino for dessert was wonderfully refreshing. The coffee was nice and strong.

An authentic Italian restaurant. We both ordered fish. One had red mullet and the other salmon tagliatelle. Very delicious. It was a shame no one could tell us what kind of cheeses we had for dessert. The tiramisu was also delicious.

We ate at the restaurant. The pizza was awful. They hadn't added any ingredients. The service was terrible. The cutlery was dirty. The pizza was cold and broken. A disgrace to Italians.

We arrived, ordered two glasses of wine, and had to wait almost an hour. We ordered a carbonara and a lasagna. After waiting, the waitress came out and told us there were problems in the kitchen. That we'd been served a terrible pizza. They charged us €30 for two glasses of wine. We'll never be back.

A very nice and authentic restaurant. We returned from Sicily last week and missed the cuisine and our vacation. We found this restaurant and had a wonderful meal. The people are very friendly and the food is delicious.

We had a table at the back of the restaurant, right by the open kitchen. Three people ordered pizza and one pasta. The pizzas were delicious. And so was the pasta, according to my group. The service was friendly.

We had lunch yesterday. We had panini tonna and omelet with bacon and mushrooms. Delicious. The service was super friendly and the restroom was clean and fresh. Highly recommended.

The food here is so good! I always enjoy coming here. The service is excellent.

It was truly awful. We both ordered meat: one sirloin steak and one tenderloin. The meat was gray, tough, and not as it should be. After sitting over our plates for 40 minutes, we had to ask for a staff member. We explained what was wrong and had to pay for the full price. He cut into the meat at our table and said there was nothing wrong with it, but he apologized, "You should have your eyes checked, because that made no sense." Both the food and the service were terrible, with only one staff member who spoke normal Dutch. After this disappointment, we went to the snack bar.

What a pizza, pff 👏🏼 I ordered the prosciutto, and it was simply excellent. Thin, crispy crust with a nice crust, the sauce wasn't overpowering, and the cheese was melted just right. The San Daniele ham on top was tender, flavorful, and generously distributed. I ate it cold later that evening and it was still super delicious. Couldn't have been better, if you ask me. Delivery was fast, within 30 minutes. I'll definitely order from here again.

I always order takeout pizzas, but they've been inedible for months. The crust is burnt and very thin, the ingredients are bland, and the tiramisu is very expensive. We've decided to stop buying pizza.

Second time we came first for lunch which was outstanding !!! and now for the dinner and it was delicious and lovely. The staff very friendly as if you step into little Sicily. We had amazing meal and my partner enjoyed food so much we ordered a pizza to take home. The food is outstanding so is the service, we might become the regulars :)

My absolute all time favorite for delicious "Italian" dishes. The pasta tartufo is truly divine and every now and then I drive through all the traffic jams and hectic traffic because I MUST have this pasta. The service is always top notch, friendly men (nothing is too much). Other dishes are also delicious! Stone oven pizzas, but also their meat dishes. Upon arrival you receive a bruschetta, which is always delicious.

This is my worst experience. The cheese shavings on the carpaccio had become sticky and a lot of lettuce had been thrown on top as decoration. There was hardly any pine nuts or dressing on it. I put the pizza back in the oven and it was like putting a bite of salt in my mouth. When I called the company the answer I got was 'I don't know what to say'.

Had dinner with 4 on Friday. Pizza base was way too thin. Tuna pizza was way too wet from the crust down. The salmon and cream pasta had no cream. Furthermore, it was extremely noisy and getting the attention of a waiter was almost impossible. Quick to take order and deliver. Will not be repeated.

Wij hadden een gezellig diner bei Il Siciliano. Het voorgerecht en de pizzen kwamen snel en waren heerlijk, ik kon een beetje mijn Italiaans gebruiken, heel aardige serveersters. Misschien een klein minpuntje, het was een beetje fris, ook omdat wij dicht bij de deur zaten.

Today my wife and I had the opportunity to taste bland Italian cuisine, cold risotto balls and terribly dry salmon! My wife had a pizza with a frozen mix of salmon and shrimp! Nothing fresh! Besides indicating that the portions of risotto balls were cold, the same portion was heated up and served back! Apart from that, we waited 40 minutes for the main course, in short, a perfectly straight meal

Fantastic, just nothing to complain about

I went to this restaurant for dinner. I start by talking about the quality of the food. As a starter, I had a carpaccio, which was quite good. Then tagliatelle with meat and truffle sauce, which were slightly overcooked with too much sauce, plus it was very fatty. I chose this place based on the reviews. I think this restaurant is overrated and rated by a large part of its regular clientele. When I was eating, a lot of people were talking very loudly, including a guy in the middle who was yelling and gesticulating to draw attention to himself. After my first dish, I was only politely asked to change tables because the boss wanted to accommodate some friends of his. Then when it was time to add, I presented my bank card, which was refused by the machine. The boss yelled at me about the fact that he only took debit cards, and that it was clearly indicated... He showed me a piece of paper taped to the door across the street. I told him it wasn't explicit at all and that he was kidding me. I paid by cash and asked for my change and my receipt to cut the discussion short. In any case, the arrogant, contemptuous and aggressive attitude of this person is incredible for someone running a business. In conclusion, I think that to be well regarded in this restaurant, you have to be friends with the owner or maybe Italian.

We had a delicious meal at Il Siciliano. The service is generally friendly and fast, but one lady stood out to me because of her somewhat 'strict' manner. When the shop is full there is a cacophony of conversations, but that is also Italian.

Very cozy Italian restaurant where you get the better food. The lamb chops and beef tenderloin are really great. You can often order things off the menu. Have been coming here for years. Reservations are usually really necessary.
