INDOGO in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

Not to be mean but I’m not surprised they didn’t last. My review is dated and from many years ago. From what I remember the atmosphere was alright and the staff was friendly but I obviously came for the food and it was literally microwaved, taste was so unauthentic and a disgrace for Indonesian food. I never went back again.

This is the first and only place where I have ever had Indonesian food, and all I have to say is that I am HOOKED! The food was really great, and the buffet style reminded me of Panda Express in the sense that it was good and fast. It's a great place to stop by for a quick bite to eat, and the servers were quite friendly. Would recommend!!

Comemos muy bien comida indo con frecuencia en nuestra ciudad natal, por lo que quizás nuestras expectativas eran demasiado altas. Habíamos visto algunos restaurantes, sin embargo, parecían muy "occidentalizados". Comimos en Indigo ya que la comida olía como debería, sin embargo, no sabía como se esperaba, estaba bien. No había dónde sentarse y tuvimos que caminar por la calle para encontrar un lugar para comer.

Uiterst vriendelijke man die met liefde en aandacht het zelfgemaakte indonesische eten serveert. Niks is hem te veel moeite om het iemand naar wens te maken. Hiernaast is het eten ook heerlijk ik ben hier een maandelijkse klant, maar ik blijf terugkomen voor de service!

Buena comida rápida indo. Estaban cerrando la puerta cuando entramos y él todavía nos dejó comer y felizmente nos explicó todo. La comida era cálida y sabrosa.

Food is not fresh, very dry. Shameful... This is not Indonesian food!

The food is of good quality though it's a bit unfortunate that their way of preparing the meals is to just put the whole takeaway box in the microwave. Staff is incredibly friendly and offered me to taste some of the meals before buying. The in-house seating is very awkward as the stools are wobbly and the tables are too high. The place is so close to being 4 stars as the only things keeping it at 3 stars are the pricing and overall cold atmosphere. Not a bad dining experience at all, but it wouldn't be my first choice for Indonesian food in the city center.

Ik ben dol op Indonesisch eten. Ik eet het vaak. De plek is fantastisch - hier kom ik vaak - maar het eten viel erg tegen. Ik had de ‘meatlover’ waarvan de daging smoor goed was, maar de rendang was echt niet in orde. Sommige stukken smaakten vreemd, alsof ze in n pan waren bereid waar vis in zat. Er zaten twee steeltjes nog aan de sperziebonen - die smaakten alsof ze niet goed ingevroren waren geweest voor ze gekookt waren. In de rijst zaten koude stukken. Erg jammer: een gemiste kans.

Veel te dure prijs voor eten van slechte kwaliteit. Het eten had geen smaak en was slecht samengesteld.

Eten is best goed, mag alleen wel wat pittiger. Het feit dat ze het uit de koeling opwarmen in een magnetron is prima, maar voor ruin 9 euro verwacht ik op z'n minst dat het wordt opgebakken zoals andere noodle afhaalrestaurants. Meatballs waren trouwens nog half koud. Personeel is wel heel vriendelijk.

Sowieso al geen fan van magnetron toko’s maar als je er ook nog water bijdoet vooraf (??) wordt het inderdaad wat zompig en dus minder lekker

Checked all the best things! Friendly staff, fast service, and very delicious and tasty food. It's also very accessible to the Rokin train station. I wish I found this sooner during my trip!

Gisteren weer een rijsttafel afgehaald en die is geweldig. Smaakvol en ook geen lullige porties: vanavond kunnen we weer! Broodjes voor de lunch zijn ook goed betaalbaar, zeker als je vergelijkt met lunch in de buurt. Eigenaar is overigens een lieve, begane man die zo te zien keihard werkt voor z'n zaak en blij is met elke klant.

This is a mainly take-away restaurant in a very busy area. The prices for sandwiches or snacks are ok but not amazing, and everything else is a bit pricey for the portion size. Food is already prepared and they heat it up in front of you in the store after you choose the items you want. The branding seems to copy the popular chain wok to walk. Staff seems friendly / professional and the food is ok tasting, but I honestly don't understand where all these 5 star reviews are coming from.

Indonesian cuisine, quicker and way better than McDonald.

Definitely the best food in the area. Quickly prepared with high quality. Many choices for both vegitarian and Halal meats. I love spicy food so they offered Kip rica rica, Daging Bali and spicy Aubergine, spicy egg. Very delicious for the price we paid.

Erg hartelijke en vriendelijke mensen. De ene keer liet een medewerker mij wat proeven toen ik niet wist of het te scherp voor mij was, de andere keer kreeg ik zomaar een korting omdat ik de moeite nam om naar de bank te lopen aan de overkant van de straat toen hun pinapparaat eruit lag. Daarnaast erg lekker eten!

Great quality food and good prices with a variety of choices even for a vegan like me! Warm and friendly atmosphere, this place is a must!
