Indonesian Warung by Spado-Food in Oud-Strijp

The food is mostly very sweet. Lots of rice, and the nasi isn't fried but sweetened with sweet soy sauce. The chicken is tender, but there's very little of it. It doesn't taste fresh. Disappointed.

Sambal goreng tempeh is very disappointing. Not crispy and tamarind sauce doesn’t taste like tamarind. Wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Very nice food with good company

I've eaten here before, and downtown was perfectly fine! But the home-cooked food wasn't fresh this time! The nasi rame rice was bad, tasted sour, and could have been thrown away. The spring rolls weren't crispy, were tough, and seemed reheated. The food was anything but fresh this time. The worst part is that you're not reachable by phone, so you can even help customers in such situations. Too bad!

Tasty Indonesian food. Good service. It is a bit on the pricey side. But portions are huge so I had to take half back to the hotel. I had the nasi (rice) with beef which is tasty but it has too much saté sause for my taste.

I had the Chili Chicken Ramen, which was so incredibly salty that I went back to ask if the cooks hadn't added double portions of salt. The lady behind the counter tasted it and told me it tasted just as it should, because besides soy sauce, it also contained salt, so it tasted salty. Then the cook came by and confirmed this. What I found annoying was that they didn't offer a solution for me as a customer; the cook just walked past me and continued. I was left with my triple salty noodle soup, so I had to find a solution myself, adding extra water to the chili chicken ramen, which turned out to be still too salty. My guests had also tasted it, and the five of us agreed it was a poor meal. But their service was just as bad. This was my first time, but also my last time with them. Too bad...

Flavor of the food was good, but emping was missing and they gave rice for one person instead of two. Now i had to boil my own rice to have sufficient food, dont understand why 3.5 euro worth of white rice is only sufficient for one person. Very disappointed.

We ordered online and missed a few dishes. Unfortunately, there was no way to call the restaurant. The dishes we did have were delicious!

Delicious food, comfortable seating and great service

We've ordered from here before without any problems. This time, we received incredibly poor service and will definitely not order from them again. First of all, there's no phone number to call about our order, which was completely wrong. We received a completely different order. The delivery driver helped us well and couldn't do anything about it. They even returned with the items we hadn't received. However, the restaurant simply said they were sure we'd received everything, but only gave the delivery driver one container, even though we were missing more than half. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! And there's no way to contact this restaurant. We won't be ordering from them again.

RECOMMENDED! Delicious dishes, lots of choice and freshly made every day. Have been coming to Downtown to enjoy Indonesian cuisine for a long time. Since they also have a second branch, Asian food corner on Mecklenburgstraat, where in addition to the familiar dishes you can also eat and pick up delicious Thai curry, I come there more often, but both branches are highly recommended! The Downtown Gourmet market is pleasantly busy, the Asian Food Corner is very nicely decorated and you can enjoy a quiet meal with a pleasant view of the hustle and bustle of the city. My favorite dishes are the Tempeh, the green Curry and De Soto Ajam, this soup is well filled and delicious.

I have got rotten chicken and they added too much chilli that I won't tast the rotten of chicken and after few bits I realised the food was smell very bad and made me sick. Please if you really don't want to be sick then please avoid to eat this please 🙏

Mixed feelings. When Spado just started, I ended up there through the Eindhoven Food Tours. And from that moment on I was sold and extremely enthusiastic. Really tasty and fresh Idonesian food! Prepared with passion. After that I have always been a loyal regular customer and have always ordered a lot via Deliveroo, and later Uber Eats. However, in recent years I have noticed a big difference in quality and have my doubts about quality control. Often the food is so salty that you feel the need to drink another liter of water in the middle of the night. The Tofu was often so salty that it was simply unedible. I won't order anymore. I often notice that the delivered food is not always fresh. Sometimes you notice that a dish was prepared that same day >> Is 100% delicious. Sometimes it has been preserved with salt for too long, and it just isn't tasty anymore. To top it all off, I also received a moldy bapao sandwich. The rest of the food no longer tastes good. As a regular customer, I now think twice before ordering again. Hopefully, this restaurant can bring back the quality it once started with. Perhaps worth diving into? Then I would also be happy to adjust the review. Just a friendly suggestion from a Spado lover!

This was my first time having Indonesian food and it was amazing. They have plant-based/vegan options. I got the Vega Rames. So delicious!

Soto Ajam soep besteld. Snel geleverd door deliveroo en goed op smaak. Ingrediënten waren vers alleen naar mijn mening mogen er meer groenten bij. Daarnaast zat alles al in een doosje, nu geen probleem door de snelle levering maar als je langer moet wachten beter om alles los te krijgen zodat de ingrediënten niet slap worden in de soep.

The Food was ok however I had expected more fresh ingredients like cilantro ans lemon and less satay sauce which makes it kinda heavy. Service fast fast and friendly. For authentic Indonesian I would recommend elsewhere.

First I was a bit worried about this restaurant, since I ordered through Uber Eats and I put twice in the "extra information box" that I want my food to be delivered at 18:00 (because I simply was driving home). The reason that they gave me that this wasn't seen is because the delivery person couldn't speak Dutch. So I recommend this restaurant that if you have people work for you that don't speak our language that you tell them to use Google translate or read the extra information for them. The delivery guy just put the food in front of my door and didn't ring the bell. He just put "delivered" on Uber Eats. I am not sure if it is fair to give less stars because of the delivery experience, but I still believe it is good to give this feedback to the restaurant. Feedback to the restaurant: what is your phone number? How can costumers call you? I ordered and I saw on the Uber Eats app that the delivery guy was already driving but I couldn't call you or reach someone to tell y'all that I wasn't home! The food that I got was nice, though. Definitely wasn't prepared the same day but it tasted good enough to enjoy it.

Outstanding, authentic Indonesian food. The babi pangang, nasi goreng, and ayam rica rica all tasted like they would in Indonesia, though you could argue the rica rica was toned down for Dutch tastes. I also had the sate, which was good, but the peanut sauce tasted very ordinary, like something you would get from a standard Dutch cafe.

Heerlijk Indisch eten van top kwaliteit! Vandaag hier voor het eerst besteld. Het eten was er binnen 30 minuten en goed warm. De nasi was op traditionele wijze bereid en de rengdang was zacht en goed gekruid. Zeker een aanrader!
