Had a fantastic meal. Service was sometimes substandard. If things were spruced up and cleaned better, it would improve the atmosphere. Make the toilet a bit more inviting, for example.

I got takeout here and it really wasn't good. The prawn crackers were tough, and both types of meat with the nasi rames had a strange taste. The green beans were bland and from the freezer... only the chicken was tasty.

Small restaurant withe very good, and more importantly authentic, food. The buffet option, when availablenis an excellent introduction if you have never had indonesian food. Service and atmopshere - most restairants should aspire to.

The staff were incredibly friendly. The food was delicious, but we felt the portion of rice was a bit too small. We ordered an extra small bowl of rice, which cost us €6. Overall, it was a little overpriced.

Quite strange; a rijsttafel without satay. The rest of the food was quite bland, not what we are normally used to from Indonesian food. A shame...

I recently ordered from here and it was delivered for €40, just by myself. In retrospect, I wouldn't have paid more than €10 for it, it was so bad. The spekkoek (a Dutch pastry) was very small for the price, a bit dry, and not as tasty as it should have been. The spring rolls were okay, but not great, and large. Much of the food was lukewarm. They were supposed to deliver at 6:15 PM, but it didn't arrive until 6:35 PM, so I had to eat in a hurry because I had to leave. I ordered seasoned fries, and for €4.50 you'd expect a reasonable portion. But it came in a tiny container and was cold/lukewarm and no longer crispy. The fried bananas weren't very good. The pie was quite tasty inside, but the puff pastry was very dry. There was also a sesame bam, which supposedly had some green bean paste in it, but that was also a bit dry inside. Actually, only the spring rolls were reasonably good. I think that's too little for the amount I paid. This doesn't give me a good impression of Indonesian cuisine. And I thought it was a real waste of money. I also had an upset stomach all evening. I can't comment on the atmosphere, as I didn't go inside the restaurant.

We had a wonderful meal at this authentic Indonesian home restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

We had a rijsttafel (rice table) for two. Some things were tasty and delicious. Some things were a bit less than stellar, and I'm not referring to my own preferences or taste; it seemed like they'd made a decision to make these things as inexpensive as possible. Which, I think, was detrimental to the flavor. The accompanying prawn crackers were a bit tough and possibly no longer fresh. There were definitely also things that were fresh and definitely flavorful. I think we were a bit unlucky that day, because a short walk past the buffet made me think, "I'll come back again."

I ordered the rice table and it was really delicious. The service was good. QUALITY!

This was our second time here. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

Nicely decorated with batik tablecloths. The dishes are adapted to the Dutch taste, not spicy enough, sambal can be added. Service is slow. We got the menu after 10 minutes and the meal arrived after an hour. Few vegetarian dishes. The price list on the website, gives prices for take-away, lower than eating in the restaurant. It is not clearly stated that restaurant prices are higher.

I feel like this restaurant has been in Eindhoven for years. It turned out to be okay. After a few times via tb, it was high time to go inside. Delicious! We'll do this more often.

surprising, nice restaurant with very friendly staff. food was surprisingly tasty and very affordable. We had a 3 course menu with soup first, followed by a rice table and ice cream afterward. we didn't have anything that made us say meh, everything was good. We even ate things that we normally wouldn't like, but because they prepared it so well we suddenly liked it. we will definitely come back again. Parking was also possible and did not cost the main price.

We ordered food on the app and the estimated delivery time would’ve been 18:45. We patiently waited but they arrived sooner. Friendly man! We really enjoyed the food, the rijsttafel menu included a starter soup, main course, and even a dessert. It was still nice and warm despite the delivery distance.

Really delicious food. The gentleman was very hospitable, friendly, cooperative and well informed about what was gluten-free and what was not. After hesitation he had something remade so it turned out fine. You can opt for a buffet, but we had more than enough at the rice table and we thought it would be nice to stay at the table. Fantastically varied, extensive and delicious in taste. The soup was very tasty and filling. Something went wrong with the dessert (the gentleman was away for a while), but with explanation it was resolved very well. Delicious pandan ice cream and the bacon biscuit was replaced by fresh fruit.

Weining eten ,bv de "frietjes" waren een klein porsie chips voor 4.55€ enz enz ..slecht!! Lams sate was hard . Garnalensate had 1 garnalen .. echt shandalig

We took the most extensive surprise menu and it includes everything that is not in the other menus. A table full, it just kept coming. Still, we ate almost everything and it all tasted fantastic, especially the crispy breaded shrimp! Highly recommended and we will definitely come back again!

Deze avond besloot ik het restaurant Surabaya in Eindhoven een kans te geven om me culinair te verrassen, maar dit restaurant is helaas een belediging voor de prachtige Indonesische keuken. We kozen voor het onbeperkte buffet, maar alles bleek een smakeloze, opgewarmde brij te zijn die in de verste verte niets met de Indonesische keuken te maken heeft. En voor deze culinaire teleurstelling vragen ze ook nog eens 37 euro per persoon! Nog nooit zo slecht gegeten.

We came in at 17:00 starving after cycling all day and missing lunch. The service and food were excellent. We got the full rijstafel, which was 36 euros per person. We were stuffed and it probably would have been enough food for 1.5 people instead of 1. However, we nearly finished it all. Slightly annoyed by the no tap water policy, considering the food is spicey, but fair enough... Would return next visit to Eindhoven.

People who work really hard for their money. The atmosphere is typically real Indonesia, as you would find it there in the country. Perhaps modern people demand modern furnishings these days. But in the end it's all about the food. And the food is delicious! We had the buffet. Definitely recommended!!!

Scampies in chili sauce; I can handle a lot but this was overly spicy. The satay was very disappointing, it had a strange sour taste. The coffee is served well with chocolates, but don't expect coffee with aroma. Overall a disappointing meal.

Eten besteld voor te laten bezorgen. In 1 woord DRAMA. Besteld om 18:45 het zou 50 minuten duren maar de smoezen doos ging openen. Problemen met vervoer etc. Na bijna 1 uur later wordt het als nog bezorgd. Het eten kan nog zo goed zijn maar als de bezorging het laat afweten dan is het voor mij meteen de laatste keer geweest.

For a few months now we have only eaten vegetarian and vegan food. That's why we wanted to try the vegetarian rice table here. I was already familiar with gado gado, but all the other vegetarian dishes were still new to me. It was very tasty, friendly lady who explained what it was all about and meanwhile a lovely quiet music in the background. In short, a successful evening.

We went for All you can eat, delicious food. Especially the satay and the rendang! There was a screen in the restaurant that continuously showed photos. Nice to see such familiar places and scenes.

I thought the food was lukewarm, it is already cold if it has been on your plate for a few minutes, which is a shame because the taste is excellent. Furthermore, it was also cold in the restaurant, I think due to the cutbacks, but I don't like to eat while shivering.

Gisterenavond met een maatje hier gegeten. Echt lekker eten en een zeer vriendelijke, enigzins, bescheiden bediende. Aandachtspuntje vind ik dat het Bintang biertje veel te duur is. €6,90 is gewoon teveel geld, zeker als je dat vergelijkt met een normaal biertje dat de helft kost. Of het kost gewoon teveel om dit bier te importeren of ze doen dit bewust voor meer omzet. Ik als klant ga er vanuit dat je bijna vanzelfsprekend Indonesisch bier bij je Indonesisch wil drinken. En dan wil je niet dat je niet direct weet dat zo’n flesje zo duur is. Buiten het feit dat het niet eens beter smaakt dan een normaal biertje. Dus al met al voor herhaling vatbaar :-) Nb Henk Wijnbeld is niet eerlijk met zijn review. 1 ster slaat nergens op. Het zegt wat mij betreft meer over mensen zoals Henk dan waarover ze een review schrijven. Gek verwend ventje.

Samen met een vriend wezen eten en het was geweldig! Ik ben niet bekend met de Indonesische keuken en vond het daarom super leuk dat het zeer vriendelijke personeel vertelde wat er precies op tafel stond en andere vragen met plezier beantwoorde. Al het eten was duidelijk zorgvuldig vers bereid en smaakte heerlijk! Ook leuke achtergrondmuziek. Hier ga ik vaak terug komen of bestellen! Echt een aanrader!

Fantastisch restaurant, heerlijk gegeten gisteren! We hadden gebruik gemaakt van het buffet, er was keuze genoeg en het eten was van zeer hoge kwaliteit, super lekker! De bediening was heel vriendelijk, het restaurant ziet er netjes uit maar straalt niet veel sfeer uit. De prijs/kwaliteitverhouding was prima, goed eten voor niet veel geld. Zeker aan te raden om eens van dit buffet te gaan genieten. Bedankt!

Het eten was uitmuntend vlees smolt op je tong en saté heel lekker en de Sotosoup was ook uitmuntend. En lekker cendol uitmuntend lekker drankje dus voor ons een dikke 10.

Heerlijk gegeten. We hebben met drieën de optie voor het buffet genomen. Geen supergeweldig veel, maar zeker voldoende keuze. En de kwaliteit en de hoeveelheden werden continu in de gaten gehouden.

Het eten was uitstekend de vlees smelt op je tong alles was erg goed hoor en we komen zeker terug. Super Topper dank voor alles en Top.

One of my favorite stops in Eindhoven. Whenever I miss home during my stay in Netherland came to this restaurant. I cant remember anything except the dish was making me feel like If I was home. I recommend this place for authentic Indonesian food. I love their Lupis, Tahu Pong, sambal and Soto🌸

A typical old-fashioned Dutch Indonesian restaurant where time stands still. I had the rijsttafel which consists of about 15 mini dishes, 5 condiments, a plate with yellow flavored rice and a small fruit dessert. They were all tasty enough but clearly microwaved as I heard the ping sound every 30 seconds before my order arrived. Beware that all the food combined is a huge amount. The interior is a bit camp and kitschy but looks decent. I was there on aa Saturday night and there was just one other couple having dinner. Service provided by the staff was friendly and helpful. Recommended.

We hebben weer héérlijk gegeten met autentieke smaken zoals je ze nog maar zelden vindt.... het is echt een feestelijke en vorstelijke maaltijd die je krijgt. feest voor het oog en voor de smaakpapillen :) Wel op tijd bestellen ( 1 of 1,5 uur van te voren )want het heeft tijd nodig.

Heerlijk eten en vriendelijke bezorger en een extra presentje. Dank je wel Surabaya, ik heb ervan genoten!!

Prima eten, zeker een van de betere tenten in die buurt. Adviseer wel een rijsttafel of een menu met meerdere gerechtjes, bij de enkelvoudige gerechtjes zit nl. geen rijst. Dat is dan ook het enige minpuntje wat mij betreft. Prijs en bediening uitstekend, kom zeker nog eens terug!

We hebben zooo lekker gegeten en genoten van de vele smaken van de Indische rijsttafel. Veel afwisseling in de gerechten en veel groenten, daar houden wij van. Super snelle en vriendelijke bezorging. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Wij hebben hier nu voor de tweede keer besteld om thuis te laten bezorgen. Onze tip is: bestel op tijd (1 uur van tevoren) en via de eigen website want dan houden ze er meer aan over. Je kunt echt heerlijk eten verwachten! 4 maaltijden waren genoeg voor zes personen omdat bij elke maaltijd een bak rijst of bami komt. Het was opnieuw fantastisch.

Eten is ok. Niks bijzonders voor een Indonesisch restaurant. Plastic fles water voor 6,95 is ondanks de prijzen die omhoog gaan echt veel te veel voor een normaal restaurant. Rijsttafel 36 euro is ook erg fors. Geen plek waar ik nu zeg daar ga ik nogmaals heen. Prijzen op de website zijn veel lager dan in het restaurant. Ober vertelde dat dat afhaalprijzen zijn. Dat staat nergens vermeld
