Intermezzo in Haren-West e.o.

I have been a regular visitor to Haren and the surrounding area for many years to shop at local stores, visit the weekly (Fri-Fri) fresh market, take a walk in the neighborhood, or for whatever else. I prefer to have lunch at Brasserie Intermezzo. Beautifully situated in the center on Raadhuisplein/Rijksstraatweg. Plenty of outdoor seating and an attached (artisanal) Italian ice cream stand. Excellent lunch menu. Good quality, presentation, taste, etc. My favorites: * Schiacciata Chicken Delight: Warm chicken tenderloins.... * Schiaciata Intermezzo Top Pick: Warm roulade/ham.. * Schiacciata Beef Sausage Carpaccio Style. * Chef's Beefburger: Bacon, onion, tomato, cheese, fresh salad, BBQ sauce, steak fries... fries, bacon....). * Loaded fries Pulled pork... Nice atmosphere, pleasant interior, prompt and correct service. Modern, spacious, excellently maintained, and clean restroom. Etc etc An ideal starting point or resting place for anything. The 'Mezzo Club' in the basement can be rented out. Very atmospheric with its own bar. Ed Jansen

The middle of Haren, that's okay. Otherwise nothing really special. Food and drinks on a weekday, okay. The service needs management. Rating a solid 6. Note: I have also been there where everything ended up at 7.5.

Great location right in the center of Haren, delicious burger. Highly recommended for work outings.

The toasted sandwich wasn't properly hot. We paid €4 for a bottle of Spa Red (without ice cubes) and €3.50 for a small glass of cola with four ice cubes. I find it absurd to serve cola in such a small glass, and with ice cubes to boot, so that less cola fits in the glass. It wasn't a very successful lunch. What a shame!!!!

A fine restaurant for a meal. We went here for dinner, but due to the warm weather, not everyone was very hungry. The waiter got us a lunch menu; it was very thoughtful of him to be so considerate. There is plenty of choice on the menu, which is nice. We went for the goat cheese quiche and the satay. Besides fries, you also get bread with your meal, which is very generous. Since that would be a bit too much, we indicated that we didn't want any bread. Everything tasted good; the fries were excellent. We had a cappuccino afterwards. The staff was nice and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for the food. We will definitely come back again. Next time, we'll sit outside.

This year 2 stars instead of the 4 stars of previous years. Reasons: No sugar-free ice cream available, even though it is still listed on the website and on the wall of the ice cream kiosk. The meal salads are no longer tasty.

I had to wait a very long time to be served, so I sat here for a long time. The staff sometimes seemed irritated, but otherwise it was fine. The food was tasty.

When the weather is nice, this is always a great place to grab a bite to eat or a drink. Despite the crowds, we were served quickly.

The location is great, spacious, and cozy. A good place for lunch.

The toasted sandwiches were very tasty. The service was very poor. After we had found a spot, no one came by to see us. Even though I could see that the staff wasn't busy. Eventually, I grabbed the menus myself, which went unnoticed by anyone. After closing the menu, I finally beckoned someone with my arm raised to order. After that, things moved very quickly. The toasted sandwiches were offered to our neighbors, who received theirs at the same time. They were already sitting there when we came in.

I didn't think the food was of great quality. I wouldn't be quick to return.

A nice place to sit in for a coffee őr stop for an icecream in the middle of Haren.

Lovely spot, right in the center! Beautiful terrace with plenty of sun and very friendly staff. And if you're thinking, "I'm in the mood for cake," go for it! It's worth it!!

It's centrally located and you can get something to eat quickly. The food was delicious and the portions were large.

In terms of food and drink, this place is best suited for lunch or just a quick drink. There are many options for sandwiches and similar items. The portions are large and the taste is good. There was also a heavy rain shower once, and I got completely soaked, so I received a free hot chocolate. This was also a nice experience. The atmosphere is good, although it can sometimes be a bit busy, but there are plenty of quieter spots.

Highly recommended! Burrata salad 10/10, and my brother had the salmon sandwich, also 10/10. Generous portions (!!). Service was fast and friendly. Coffee was also good, and there's a lovely large terrace in the summer.

Waited outside for fifteen minutes to order. Then waited another fifteen minutes for coffee and iced coffee. The coffee was good, but the iced coffee was undrinkable! Way too sweet and artificial. Last time here!

We sat there for coffee and after the first serving we were never approached again, we sat there for approximately 40min.

It took a while before the service came. Drinks and board were ok. My knee needs rest and that's why my leg on the chair, a waiter comes with the request if I take my leg off the chair, with a tone🙁. Anyway, we won't be back there anytime soon!

The most beautiful place in Haren to eat something. Friendly staff and enough choice on the menu. Too bad that smoking is allowed on the terrace. My daughter tries to enjoy her apple pie with whipped cream but is in the meantime in the cigar smoke. That is not up to date anymore.

Erg duur broodje tonijn. Vooylr dit geld mag je meer verwachten. Daarnaast de bediening niet attent. Duurde lang voor er iemand aan tafel kwam. Ook bij d3 mensen om ons heen. Drankjes ook erg duur. Bijna festival prijzen

My favorite stop for coffee or ice cream. Dinner always delicious. Lunch limited choice for dietary requirements. Coffee is on the expensive side, but it's nice that no cuts are made on quality. Staff very friendly, attentive and quick service. When the weather is sunny it is often very busy, so waiting times can be longer.

A good place to sit for a cup of coffee and a light snack

Food was fine. We had to wait more than an hour for that. The service didn't get much further than: unfortunately I can't do anything about that.

Relaxed atmosphere, pleasant village character. Friendly customers. Nice table arrangement with the bar asymmetrically in the middle. Young and friendly staff. Our "Brown Bread Croquette" was delicious. Plenty of energy for the trip back to Oldenzaal. Plenty of parking behind the shop. Refuel here after a visit to the city. Only positives!

Nice cafe, always pleasant. The only shame about Intermezzo is that the customers are quite elderly. I'm 30 myself, so you look a bit out of place, which is a shame. But a great place to have a drink!

It's nice that you can have a drink on the terrace while you wait for the bus ☀️ It's also ideal as a pit stop during a bike ride. I regularly go there for coffee during the bike rides I take, guided by my tandem pilot Evelien.

Nice lunch and pleasant service

An architecturally very beautiful circular building in a prime location. The advantage was that a terrace could be arranged all around: sun and shade. Industrial design of the interior. I ordered a hamburger with spicy chicken thigh strips. Surprisingly tasty. This also applies to the fries. Nice wide sticks, nicely seasoned.

Ambience cold and unpleasant. Interior is like a canteen of a train station. Bare and cold. Hard dark materials bllll Frames black, tile wall black Dark chairs, dark brown tables and the floor. And windows all around No cloths on the table. Open ceiling structure with ventilation pipes. Open kitchen in the middle. This makes it very noisy, resulting in a cacophony of sounds. The design has been carefully thought out to find a happy medium between chic But cost effective and low maintenance. It is even more pleasant at the catering section of Bakker Haafs and that is a bakery. Spending time at Intermezzo is not a pleasant part of the day for me. The food is of course fine, but I don't need to sit in a modern, cold interior. Swinters cold feet and knees due to the draft.

Why is the outside terrace not yet smoke-free? Or a separate smoking/smoking zone? I don't think it's a thing anymore that I have to sit indoors because I don't want to have to smoke other people's cigarettes.

Had a beer here with an old colleague and enjoyed a snack. Tap my favorite beer, Hertog Jan. Friendly staff. Square is less pleasant.

Went with a group for brunch. Food all good, nothing wrong with it. The only thing that was a real shame is the lack of service, often having to wait too long for a coffee or drink, but this can certainly be improved a lot.

I thought the food menu was very simple. Not much choice. Something as simple as an omelet was not on the menu. It's nice to have a drink there.

Het was een gezellig terras, maar toen we zaten te eten werden de stoelen om ons heen al met een kabel vastgelegd. We bestelden 'schijven gehakt met spekjes en uien' maar dat bleek een spprt snack berenhap te zijn die in plakken was gesneden. Dus een teleurstellende ervaring.

We enjoy coming there, it's always great. On Saturday we also listened to a beautiful choir from the Salvation Army singing on the square.

But in my opinion, this coffee shop is not recommended. The cappuccino and the service were good. But not the pastries. The muffin came straight from the refrigerator. Not tasty and disappointing. The cheese cake was the worst I have ever been served. The structure suggested that it was not exactly fresh. Dry and far too compact.

Ik denk ik bestel een tomatensoepje en een broodje gezond. Ze hebben vandaag alleen preisoep, dus geen soep vandaag. Dus ik bestel een broodje gezond. Even later krijg ik een broodje met een groente topping waar zelfs een konijn niet goed van wordt. Veel sla, veel paprika en geen boter o.i.d. op het brood. Het enige dat je proeft is de groente en geen smeuïg broodje. Overkill noem ik dat en geen gevoel voor smaak en balans. Ook de pries voo een radler 0,0 en één broodje is €13,45 vind ik aan de hoge kant. Dit was de derde keer dat ik hier kom, want ik wilde ze nog een kans geven, maar dit was de laatste keer.overki

I find the map uninspired. I didn't like the focaccia sandwich with gorgonzola with large chunks of tough semi-dried tomatoes and some other stuff I couldn't recognize. Fortunately the portion was very small, but unfortunately the price was very high. Nice coffee and a delicious cookie. The furnishings are tired and somewhat old-fashioned. It was a sunny day, but still freezing outside. I asked if doors could be closed, but that was turned down because the sun was shining.

Erg duur voor wat je krijgt Bruine carpaccio, dus totaal niet vers en de zalm had droge stukjes met tomaat er in plakken bovenop gekwakt .weinig dressing op beide broodjes. Daarnaast €4,50 voor een klein mandje friet, echt triest. €33,- verder voor bagger

The reason we were in Haren was not that nice, we were on our way to a cremation😪 But we had a delicious meal and a cup of coffee. Intermezzo is a fantastic, neat place where you can eat and drink well. The service was super friendly and helpful and also super fast!👌

I was sitting here with my partner. We were not helped for the food. It took a while before we gave up and left. No one passed by our table while the staff in our sector visited and served every other table several times and he had more attention to the outside world than his guests.

Een uitgebreide lunchkaart, met warme en koude gerechten. Je hebt veel keus. Je wordt snel geholpen en je lunch wordt ook snel aan je tafel gebracht. Met zorg klaargemaakt en heerlijk vers brood, het beetje sla was van wat mindere kwaliteit. De bediening is zeer vriendelijk. Leuk dat de keuken in het midden van het restaurant gesitueerd is. Parkeren, iets verderop, let op, alleen op zondag gratis parkeren! Andere dagen betaald parkeren. Er is ook een buitenterras en in het zonnetje zit je heerlijk.

Heerlijke lunch gehad, het was onze eerste keer. Maar echt voor herhaling vatbaar......echt een aanrader!

3e keer nu hier geweest en viel nu deze keer enorm tegen. Hygiene bar en boos, vies toilet en op tafeltjes en er onder veel etensresten. Service: hebben er 1,5 uur gezeten ivm lunchen en maar 1 keer drinken gehad omdat niemand hier na om keek naar ons als klant. Veels te druk met elkaar aan de klets en ouwehoeren. Dit alles ook gemeld bij een medewerker bij het afrekenen. Heel erg jammer.

Het eten was goed. Niet meer niet minder. Ik vond de portie frites karig voor 4,50 euro.

Prima kroket gegeten, maar de friet is wel erg duur betaald. Je kunt een frietje als side dish bestellen, maar voor €4,50 verwacht ik dan wel iets meer dan een klein bakje met een frietje of 20 Dat is wel behoorlijk karig.

Leuk restaurant met grote verscheidenheid op de kaart tegen redelijke prijzen. Keurige toiletten en vriendelijke personeel.

Heerlijk no nonsense broodje gehad. Goed op smaak en lekker rijkelijk belegd. Persoonlijk vind ik de aankleding en inrichting ietwat gedateerd ogen . Maar dat is natuurlijk ieder zijn smaak. Ga er de volgende keer zeker weer naar toe.
