Everything was delicious. After starving ourselves in Amsterdam for four days (we always chose the restaurants with the highest stars, etc.), we stumbled upon this restaurant. I don't understand the negative reviews. This place is a blessing for Amsterdam. It puts good food in your stomach. Instead of complaining, you should just be grateful for finding a place like this.

One hour before closing, they tried to force us to order takeout and wouldn't let us sit down. The staff was very unfriendly

I couldn't find such a place fitting for such a beautiful city. Unfortunately, the restaurant isn't stylish. The food is expensive, and the portions are very small. They only included a slice of lemon with the lentil soup, and unfortunately, I didn't like the flavor. I don't recommend it.

Don't bother going to such a rip-off place in the Netherlands. Because it's in the city center and in a touristy area, they treat people like fools. We asked for extra bread, and they brought us lavash thinner than paper, and they even charged for it. They didn't even bring any refreshments or tea. What a shame. Don't let Burger King or McDonald's make you money here. The bosses' servile behavior towards the waiters should also be mentioned.

My crew chose this restaurant over the adjacent Argentinian place. Food is good, typical Mediterranean-ish flair, with lots healthy options too. I ordered a spicy fried shrimp and cucumber/tomato salad, both delicious. My crew enjoyed their food as well (mom keeps complementing the lamb kabob). I felt like we were rushed out though, compared to our experience in Paris. It was getting busy so I somewhat understand, but regardless.

A halal Turkish restaurant in Amsterdam that offers Turkish food, but of course it is not the same as Türkiye, because it depends on what is available there. But the tea is amazing, just like Türkiye, but the restaurant gets crowded and noisy in the morning. It is nice and quiet, and their breakfast is good.

They're willing to help if you want something different or aren't sure what to eat (superb). The atmosphere is nice and cozy with music. The melodies are calming, so you can just chat and hear it. We had the salmon menu, which was really delicious. We also had Turkish tea and other things. I didn't really expect it to be so good. The atmosphere is very Turkish. It feels just like Turkey. If you're unsure about eating here, it's definitely worth it. It's also great for Dutch people who want to experience a truly authentic Turkish restaurant. I'll definitely be back.

Visited around lunchtime and asked the Turkish uncle (Türk Amca) to make us breakfast he happily did! Eggs, bread, and coffee were simple but perfect, made with pure heart. A must-visit, especially to meet this humble and kind man.

It has a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. Our breakfast was hot and fresh. We were very pleased. You can choose it with peace of mind.

The feathers and kebab are excellent. The rest is very average. The prices are very expensive for the service.

As we were passing by, we wanted to use the restroom for our child, but the gentleman at the entrance wouldn't let us. The owner had banned anyone from outside. When you're abroad, seeing Turkish names makes you want to visit, but this isn't one of them. I don't recommend it because of their attitude. The luxurious Viktoria Hotel, right next door, was very polite and helpful to foreigners.

The location is very close to Amsterdam centraal but the service of the business can be a bit flexible. We went on Sunday around 12:00. I had soup first because it was busy. The soup was delicious for me but I didn't want to compare it with Turkey. Our other dishes, casserole and Adana kebab, took about 25 minutes to arrive. Adana kebab was also delicious for me but the casserole was prepared like a stew. Don't expect a magnificent atmosphere when you say Amsterdam...

We ate at this restaurant almost every night of our 9-day trip. It was excellent, one of the best so far! The food was delicious, the wait wasn't long, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional! I highly recommend it because eating good food is okay, but eating well is better!

I definitely don't recommend it. Opening hours were listed as 10:00, and my wife and I went for breakfast around 10:15. They first gave us a menu, then rushed over and told us there was nothing but soup. They said the chefs hadn't started work yet. While we were enjoying our soup, the chefs and the owner loaded up the breakfast items on the table next to us and served us a delicious breakfast. Don't go to these frivolous, indifferent establishments that don't reflect Turkish culture at all, and don't even know the first letter of hospitality. There are much better ones in Amsterdam.

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food was poorly prepared, and unfortunately, it tasted like it had been sitting for a long time — definitely not fresh. The flavor was bland, and the texture was off. I had high hopes, but this visit was a letdown. I hope the restaurant takes customer feedback seriously and improves the quality and freshness of the food.

Wow. Just wow. I wasn’t expecting to love this place as much as I did, but it completely won me over. The interior design is beautiful — modern but cozy, with soft lighting and tasteful decor. I ordered the seasonal butternut squash ravioli and it was absolutely incredible. The sauce had a depth of flavor that you usually only find in much more expensive restaurants. My friend had the duck breast and said it was the best she’d ever had. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. It made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming.

A Place to Eat with Confidence in Amsterdam: İstanbul Restaurant We had dinner at İstanbul Restaurant with a group of 38 people that I was guiding. The entire group was satisfied with the price, service and hygiene. We felt right at home thanks to the friendly staff who did their job properly. The prices are quite reasonable for guests coming from Turkey. In this respect, it is a place that everyone can visit in the long run. For those who come to Amsterdam and are looking for delicious, healthy, filling and affordable food; a place where you can take your friends, acquaintances and guests with confidence, run by people who do their job properly. The place is nice, the service and reception are great and welcoming. I just asked for coffee and they allowed me and were nice. I saw good food items around me for the orders. Unfortunately, I got to know the place on the last day in Istanbul and I did not have time for a meal there.

During our visit to Amsterdam we found this Turkish restaurant. From the typical Turkish menu we tried spicy Adana Kebab, Döner Kebab, Onion rings and Baklava we took with us. But the menu also includes traditional Lentil soup, Humus, Yaprak Sarmasi, Falafel, Soarma, Baklava, Sütlac, Künefe. The food was very tasty and the service friendly. Since we love Turkish food and culture, we were pleased to find a piece of Istanbul in the center of Amsterdam. More on @larmarluxury.

The food is nothing short of Turkish. We ordered Iskender Kebab❌ Lamb Kofta❌ Hummus✅ Lentil Soup✅ French Fries✅ Honestly, the food was very, very average and I wouldn't think of going back again. On top of that, it's very expensive.

Extremely bad and overpriced food. Definitely don't go there, the döner is worse than the ready-made döner sold at BİM markets in Türkiye. It was poor quality, it was like it was bought ready-made and heated up and served, it wasn't döner, it was just ground meat, we know what ground meat döner is, this is not döner. We ordered the beyti, the Adana inside was like rubber, it was worse than the factory kebabs you buy from the market. After leaving the restaurant, we came across the Steak Haus 50 meters down, we looked at the prices of two or three of them, they have 200-250 gr steaks on their menus, much cheaper than the worthless döner at Istanbul Restaurant. I must admit, the lentil soup was good. They charged 87 Euros for one lentil, one beyti, one döner, one chicken shish (you can't even add up to 60-70 gr chicken), one French fries, and two ayrans. The portions were also very small.

Definitely don't go, friends. No service, food. Absolutely irrelevant food. You'll feel like you've wasted your money. We ordered Adana kebab, I can say that the meat kebabs sold in Turkey are better, and they did not give us anything that should be lavash with Adana kebab. When we asked ourselves if there was any bread, they brought us the loaf of bread you know, it is a complete disgrace. The waiters are liars, they are trying hard for you to stay as you eat your meal.

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied at all. We ate Adana kebab for two people and paid 53 Euros for ayran and coke. But I have never seen a place with such poor service and taste in my life. They bought the adanas ready-made, as if they were bought from the market and made. The food came, they didn't bring any bread etc. It came when we told it to and it was a little stale. We asked for tea after the meal, they said no, but they asked someone they knew if they would drink tea. They had an attitude like get up and go. I do not recommend.

Food and service: The food was very good. Particularly noteworthy are the beans (without meat - suitable for vegetarians) and the rice, which are reminiscent of eating like your mother's. The Adana Kebab was also very good and is one of the best I have eaten so far. Some reviews criticize the price. I find that they are because of the central location near the train station and the good quality is appropriate. This is a restaurant with comfortable chairs and friendly service and NOT a simple takeaway where you leave smelling unpleasant after your visit. Very hearty but kebab not up to par.

Very empty (the only good thing) doner kebab was lacking in portion with half the doner completely cold and tasted stale. Upon finishing it there was a pool of oil that made me regret stepping foot inside there.
