Delicious bavette and smooth and friendly service.

We weren't that impressed, actually. The nachos were delivered in a rather messy way. There was no sauce in separate containers, as you can clearly see in the photos, but it was just sloshed over them and baked on, leaving the bottom nachos without any sauce. The salt wasn't even distributed evenly. Those nachos should have been a red flag. I understand the steak was fine, but I thought the patar was very medium-cooked; it looks much better cooked in the photo. I also missed the ham on the chicken. I can't really say they made an effort with our order or experience. It also took a very long time for our main course to arrive, even though we were the first guests and it wasn't busy at all. Because we were short on time, we decided to skip the ice cream. Something tells me that's for the best. It's a real shame. You pay a hefty price for dinner here, so you should expect some quality. That wasn't there.

We had a wonderful meal. Highly recommended for those who love good meat and fine wine. We'll be back!

The food was good, but the service was really bad. When taking orders, there was a lot of groaning and moaning, and when ordering drinks, we had to call the waitress back several times because she left before everyone had a chance to order. There were also incorrect orders, and there weren't enough desserts... a real shame because the food was otherwise delicious.

The food was delicious! We sat outside on the terrace! The atmosphere was great, the service was friendly, and the timing was perfect. The dishes were a bit sparse, but still good!

We enjoyed a delicious appetizer and opted for the tomahawk as our main course, with delicious truffle jus and sweet potato fries. The atmosphere was great because there happened to be a party/DJ, which added to the cozy atmosphere. See you next time!

A good piece of meat. Desserts are good. Spacious. Service is very good and friendly. The only tip I can give for the meat is arugula as a side/decoration. That could be better, even though I pay a bit more, it's fine or can be added as an option. 👍

Delicious food and beautiful location

There's little ambiance inside, and outside you're sitting among golfers, so it doesn't really feel like a restaurant. It's also located on the golf course. The presentation of the plates is a bit dull. The dessert coffee with friandises is really not worth it and way too expensive for what you get. You get a tray that looks like it has room for six things, but there are only five, one of which is a strawberry.

The menu shows that it features expensive steaks. This raises expectations for the preparation. It's good quality, but if the preparation isn't 100% perfect, it quickly becomes unworthy. In my opinion, €68 for 400 grams of steak tartare with a lettuce leaf isn't worth it. Adding hot sauce and fries is an extra €7.50. The portion of fries isn't anything to write home about either. High expectations, but unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Worse experience ever First of all we ordered bread for starters and it was frozen inside afterwards we got it for free but still... Spare ribs and loaded fries were too dry and we were waiting around 40mins. Any attention for workers in this restaurant. We send 4 years old boy to call waiter and instead of coming they gave him two bottles with the drinks and glass to bring to the table. Kid went to ask for a bill and instead of coming to our table again they gave this bill to child.

My first time, the steaks and bavette were fantastic, the burger a bit less so. The service was really friendly.

Quiet restaurant. Service feels a bit stiff. The food is good, but the ribs could be a bit more tender. The flavor is otherwise good. Larger steaks are fine. Be sure to order almost everything separately, including side dishes like salad and sauces. In short, not bad and not particularly good. Just okay. If you go, get the larger steaks. They're nicely medium rare. 🫡

We waited over 2 hours for our food and in that time we asked for drinks twice, extremely disappointing...

Delicious food. Chicken burger was so big and made of real chicken (no pressed chicken waste)🫢. The steak was delicious. Only we should have ordered some vegetables with it. We could definitely come back. Top!

At the golf club there is a restaurant where you can eat inside or outside on the terrace. The staff is very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for the food. It tasted very good. Bread with spreads, steak tartare, chicken fingers and nachos as a starter. Main course: rump steak, Jack's Mexican burger and salmon. Dessert: Jack's classic white chocolate (so good!) and dame noir. Definitely recommended!

The food was great, good quality and preparation. Atmosphere a bit messy because of a band that was setting up and there was no background music. Service good, due to a misunderstanding (non-Dutch speaking service) I got a corn on the cob with my main course, instead of the fried potatoes that I had ordered. When I reported this back the waiter seemed convinced of what he had understood, but I really had not ordered a corn on the cob, I don't like it. That small discussion was no problem for me, we had a very nice, well-cared for evening!!

Waitress came quickly to ask what we wanted to drink but after 20 minutes we asked where the drinks were. Order for the food was taken, again waited 20 minutes for a loaf of bread with rancid butter, the main course with tough and lukewarm fries (6 euros for a mini container) arrived at least three quarters of an hour later. Indicated to the waitress that the fries were not supposed to be like that, she said I would pass it on to the kitchen, then nothing more was done about it. In between I asked the waitress which wine went best with the main course, she replied, no idea I don't drink wine. Furthermore a dirty restaurant. All in all, the price-quality ratio is completely lost at this restaurant.

A Disappointing Decline – Our Last Visit to Jack’s Steakhouse Before writing this, I read other reviews and realized our experience wasn’t unique. These issues have clearly been going on for years, and it seems the owner doesn’t care—unless you’re a golfer. Everyone else feels like an afterthought. This wasn’t our first time at Jack’s. We visited before Christmas to celebrate a birthday and had a fantastic experience—great food, friendly service, and staff who easily switched to English when needed. Everything was smooth, and we left happy. Based on that, I brought family from abroad, hoping to give them a similarly great evening. Unfortunately, it turned out to be our final visit. We had a 6:30 PM reservation and arrived as a group of five—four adults and one child. After choosing to sit outside, we were told no sunny tables were available—even though we saw several. But not a problem for us. We were seated at a table near the bar, which we thought would mean quicker service. It didn’t. Service was slow and careless from the start. Our table was soon cluttered with glasses and bottles that no one cleared. We waited nearly an hour for our food: four steaks and one kid’s ice cream. It wasn’t even busy—only a few tables inside and outside, mostly golfers chatting and drinking. After 45 minutes, we asked where our food was. We were told one steak takes longer to prepare (even though it’s typically a 30-minute dish). When our meals finally arrived, they were lukewarm—mine was actually cold—and my steak, which was the same as my mother’s, was half the size. The fries tasted like they’d been cooked in old oil. We were given mayo we didn’t ask for, while the BBQ sauce we did order only arrived after a reminder. The only decent thing was the baked potato—warm and nicely cooked but unseasoned. The worst part wasn’t even the food—it was how poorly we were treated. After we finished, dirty plates, bottles, and trash remained on our table for another 20+ minutes. I politely asked a server to clear the table (so our 4-year-old wouldn’t knock over the mess). She looked completely offended that we dared ask. Her attitude was unacceptable—especially given that we had been nothing but polite throughout the evening. Despite sitting right by the bar, we had to wave down servers for everything. We asked for the dessert menu—twice—and waited another 10 minutes before giving up. We’d already spent well over €200, and were hoping to enjoy coffee and dessert, but at that point, no one wanted to stay any longer. When we asked for the bill, it came within 30 seconds—of course. We paid, left, and not a single staff member said goodbye or thank you. For nearly €300, a basic farewell isn’t too much to expect. So here’s the truth: I do not recommend this place. Unless you’re a golf regular, expect to be ignored. The food doesn’t justify the poor service, and clearly, we weren’t the first to experience this. It’s a shame, because it’ll the area is nice and welcoming. Maybe it’s time for the owner to just keep it private for golfers and let others avoid the disappointment.

Last year we had a fantastic meal with the family at Christmas and the in-laws from abroad also wanted to give this experience. What a disappointment it turned out to be. There was significantly more interest in the golfers present than in English-speaking people. There was no more English-language menu (unlike Christmas)? We ended up having to wait almost an hour for our main course, because “smoked bavette takes a long time”. Not once were empty glasses and plates removed and when we politely asked for this, the table for the service was apparently full to remain polite. This is why we decided not to order dessert and pay for it. A new colleague was allowed to do this and after payment we drove home without a hello or goodbye. Huge contrast to the first experience here, this will be our last experience here

We were here on Monday, almost deserted. The atmosphere is mediocre, a nice fireplace somewhere would be welcome. We were seriously cold. The service is also mediocre, the staff is friendly but you have to ask for everything. The food is good but at a high price.

We had dinner here last night. Just look for where to go, at first glance you wonder where the restaurant is when you arrive at the parking lot. But if you walk through a path you will reach the restaurant. We were kindly welcomed and shown to our seat. There is something to be said about the lighting and interior. If there were other lamps that were more dimmed and had a little more atmosphere in terms of decoration, it would make the ambiance more pleasant. Anyway, dinner. As an appetizer I chose a sandwich with dips and Serrano ham and my husband the Iberico rib fingers. The dips could use a little more flavor, the sandwich was fine and you can't go wrong with Serrano ham. The Iberico rib fingers were fine in taste but tough. For main course we chose the flat iron steak and the Wagyu steak. In addition, home-made fresh fries and spinach with pine nuts. The flat iron steak was delicious, very tender, good flavor and perfectly (medium) cooked (an extra star for this). The Wagyu steak did not live up to its high expectations, delicious, but for that money you expect a piece of meat that you have never tasted before, but unfortunately that was not the case. So my tip is, keep that money in your pocket and opt for the flat iron steak... The fries were fine but didn't taste freshly made. The spinach had a delicious taste, but had pieces of macadamia nuts instead of pine nuts, which was also tasty. For dessert, my husband chose the Dame Blanche and I chose the Jack's classic white chocolate. The Dame Blanche was meh, ice cream with pieces of ice crystal and chocolate sauce from a bottle. With a little more imagination you can turn such a simple but classic dessert into something delicious. My tip to the chef would be to buy better quality ice cream and make the chocolate sauce yourself. The white chocolate dessert was tasty but could have been better. It tasted like melted white chocolate had been poured over a cookie base and hardened. Not easy to eat with a fork. It came with a red fruit sauce, but this also seemed to come from a bottle. Here too, a homemade sauce with a hint of acid would taste better. The staff was friendly, but a bit busy/forgetful, which made it seem messy. Our conclusion is that you can eat well here, but we will try a different restaurant next time.

Had a delicious meal at Jacks Steakhouse this evening. Selected a table on the spacious terrace. The service is neat and correct. Enjoyed a drink. The menu offers a wide choice of salads, burgers, steaks and more. Choosing a steak is a must-do. DELICIOUS!! Once eaten, never forgotten. This property is beautifully situated on the Crayensteijn golf course and wonderfully quiet in nature. You'll come back here soon. Even in autumn you have a beautiful view from behind your board over the green and a variety of leaf colors from the trees around it.

I am pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and we were served very well, the food was very tasty, my friend and I both went for the steak, a really big 10!

I think spare ribs were from the day before, they tasted old. Moreover, these had not been marinated 24 hours in advance so that the flavor of the sauce had not been absorbed into the meat, but the sauce had been put on top. The bun of the Hamburger sandwich was dry and therefore from the day before. Because the food weighs most heavily for me, a total of 2 stars. Shame....

The service and the taste of food was nice but the presentstion for meet dish was lacking, in the picture you will see wagyu a5 dish worth 48€ but tell me does it look worth the money because to me it looks very plain.

The restaurant was almost empty and we waited 20 minutes for someone to come to us. The waitress looks and behaves as if she is being punished, without a smile and with a minimum of enthusiasm. The starter was on time, but we waited about 1.5 hours for the main course. We ordered a medium well steak for the main course and got a blue steak - all rare. A bill of €80 is okay. I don't recommend it

Ondanks goede reviews hadden wij een algeheel matige ervaring. Weinig aandacht van personeel, meerdere gerechten koud en taai. Alle vlees wordt kaal geserveerd en alles moet je verder als side-dish extra bestellen. Geen slecht restaurant, maar wij hadden een slechte dag uitgekozen… 🫣

Unfortunately not what I expected. I expected a more upscale place. Food was ok, not high level. Spareribs cold n tough. Service was really below par, a lot of waiting. After waiting so long for the main menu to be cleared, we decided to go to the Mc for dessert. Spare ribs were taken off the bill, which was nice.

Even giving 1 star here is too much, the series got 1 star only thanks to Garlic Gambas. Service cannot be this bad, it took exactly 1 hour for them to even bring the bread, I'm not kidding, it took 1 hour even though we were the only table in the restaurant! While we were waiting idly for hours, my friends were killing the flies that came to our table, yes, many flies were flying around our table, such an ambience! We had a really terrible service experience, we had to ask for heeabi while there was food on the table, we didn't want to wait another hour for the table to be cleared and the bill to arrive! I ordered a dry-aged entrecôte, medium rare, and the meat in the photo arrived. Pay attention to the meat you see in the photo, they sell this meat as entrecôte, even though I said this meat is not entrecôte, they claimed it was entrecôte! Unfortunately, I couldn't eat the meat, which cost 42€, and while paying the bill, we had to shamelessly pay for the meat that I couldn't eat. A disgraceful restaurant that is extremely expensive, outclassed in terms of price/performance, and outclassed in every aspect: taste, price, ambiance! I definitely do not recommend it, I will never go again!

The taste of food in general was very good. BUT in terms of atmosphere, it is not recommended, but if you come with a nice group, yes! Steak is very tasty but arrives very sad, only with some greenery. That's it. Nowadays everything costs money, the first time I asked the friendly gentleman for a piece of tomato, he brought a few Christmas tomatoes. This is our first visit. The 2nd time was a real disappointment. The (fat) lady was very unfriendly, reluctant to work, and the tiramisù was a flop. See photo!!! This can be thrown against the wall (my generous friend had left a 5 euro tip; I was about to explode) oh well, call first if you want to come because that is not always available due to parties and events. I personally don't come here anymore.

We were cycling around Dordrecht with 6 adults and spontaneously called Jack's Steakhouse to book a table. That wasn't a problem at all. Went there on our bikes and were greeted in a very friendly manner. The food was very tasty, everyone loved their Staeks. Even the medium + streak was spot on. Small deduction for the fact that you have to order fries separately and the buns from a burger were only lukewarm, but that didn't detract from the enjoyment. Overall, a wonderful evening! Thanks to the service team and the kitchen!

Today we used the BBQ table with 2 friends. This is a new concept and has not been in effect for very long. A few types of meat were unavailable due to delivery problems, but this was neatly replaced. The BBQ did not work properly at first, after which we got a second BBQ and it worked fine. The meat was really delicious! Good quality. The staff is also very friendly. However, there was a large group of people and it became very busy. We had to ask for a drink a few times, but it came immediately. We will definitely come back here!

Yesterday we sat outside to have something to eat after a day in Dordrecht. Everything was fine except that the food took a little too long to be served and once it arrived one of the dishes was not what we had ordered... that was corrected but by then the rest had already eaten it. The fries were also not included at the time, but having to wait for them again... we left. Of course we explained this at the checkout, they shrugged their shoulders and said sorry, that was it...

We come here more often, the spare ribs are perfect. This time there were no spare ribs left so we unfortunately left.

It must come from the length or width and that is reflected on your plate. The fries only came when the meat was almost gone. It just wasn't it. Service was very friendly and smooth.

We occupied one of the two tables inside, but still had to wait more than an hour for food. My son ordered medium rare and I ordered medium and we got it the other way around. We had to order potatoes separately (6 euros for 10 potatoes). Chicken burger was beautifully served. Fries, vegetable chips looked good. However, the chicken was very dry and the fried onions could not be found. Location did make up for something.

It was very quiet in the restaurant (Father's Day) but the food was delicious, just the smell of the veal tomahawk. All in all a delicious meal.

I was here a week ago for steaks, I ordered a bavette steak as well as two others and the third one a burger. The steaks were delicious, very tasty, although a bit more cooked than I ordered, but still juicy. My friend complained that the bread in the burger was too hard, but the meat was great.

Ate here for the first time today. It is neat and spacious. The service is good. Our starter was excellent. For the main course, we selected a steak and fish. The meat was really very good, unfortunately both the lobster and the prawn were too dry and both were a bit disappointing. It was very good everywhere

Jacks serves excellent meals & drinks. Its staff are welcoming. Decor is pleasing but not excessive. Parking easy. Jacks receives full 5 stars because it DOES NOT SUFFER from "Dutch Red or Blue Syndrome" (The unwillingness to provide a glass of tap water without arguing or trying to embarrass guests for asking). Went to dinner with 3 people. Food was very tasty and the service was perfect. A huge downer were the large groups of elite ladies and gentlemen who were apparently already about 8 beers/wines deep into the match before sitting down to a table. They loudly exchanged ideas about the most diverse matters, which meant that we almost had to shout to communicate with each other. The food is delicious, but check first if there is an event before you make a reservation here.

We ordered steaks and spareribs and they were fine, but I find it strange that you have to order the sauces and side dishes separately with the steaks and not with the spareribs. The desserts were downright bad, the white chocolate cake was still frozen and the tirumisu could not be discovered on the plate, it seemed that only the garnish was present, it was literally 1 spoonful. The service would pass it on to the cook, but that doesn't really help, when I read the reviews. When paying, they immediately came with the card, very pushy and when we got home it turned out that the bill was much too high. When we inquired, a mess had been made in the cash register system and the wrong tables had been placed on our receipt. That really shouldn't happen with a table of about 6-7. We won't see this restaurant again!

First of all, we experienced our very bad and unappetizing Spareribs!!! After three ribs, we both left the remaining spare ribs and unfortunately we were not able to enjoy our spare ribs! In the meantime, the young lady asked us and did we like it? No are both our answers! Ps: when paying for our unappetizing Spareribs, we informed the elderly lady again at checkout and her answer was and is, I will SAY it to the COOK!!!!

Meat excellently prepared and very friendly service.

If you don't care if you don't get what you order, you can have a great meal there. But sauces are missing or arrive too late, extra fries come later when everyone is done. Wrong desserts and the new ones are not there after 15 minutes. Really, the service is nice, but the kitchen is terrible.

Но в осенне-зимний период есть одна проблема — в ресторане довольно прохладно и даже холодно, и нам в последний визит пришлось ужинать не снимая теплых курток. Вероятно, экономя на отоплении, руководство ресторана нарушает главные принципы ресторанного бизнеса: ресторан - это не только вкусная еда, но тепло и уют… Но и в этих условиях персонал ресторана, которому тоже очевидно холодно, неизменно встречает и провожает клиентов с улыбками. Молодцы!

Prima gegeten na een wandeling in de Biesbosch. Het restaurant ligt wel wat verscholen en doet tevens dienst als ontmoetingsplaats/winkel/'clubhal?' van de golfbaan.

Great place after a round of golf with delicious spare ribs and beers! Both in and outdoors seatings are perfect place for friends and families. Spare ribs are much better than those at De Berens. Thank you for the great services, too! Pleasant place to be for sure!

Met 8 personen gereserveerd om 18.30 uur. Bleek dat er nog maar voor 3 personen(kleine) porties spareribs waren. Teleurstelling ten top. Gerechten waren saai en de friet kwam naar aandringen pas toen het vlees al bijna op was. Op 1 uitzondering na laconiek en zeker niet klantvriendelijk. Over het geheel teleurstellend en zeker niet herhaling vatbaar.

Lekker geluncht, de bediening was vriendelijk. Het is niet een supergezellige locatie, maar wel netjes.

We waren na het lezen van de vele negatieve reviews een beetje huiverig om hier te gaan eten, maar dat bleek totaal onnodig. De service was vriendelijk en attent en het eten heerlijk. Toevallig was er een nieuwe menukaart in gebruik genomen en wij kozen voor de avocado en carpaccio als voorgerecht en de rumpsteak met friet als hoofdgerecht. De steaks waren heerlijk mals en lekker gekruid. De borden die aan de andere tafels geserveerd werden zagen er ook prima uit. We hebben kortom heerlijk gegeten.

Na een rondje golf, echt heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. Benthe en Julia dank voor de goede service en jullie glimlach!

Een gezellig onderkomen, het eten was goed. Helaas is het zo dat bij grote groepen je elkaar amper kunt verstaan. Zou iets aan gedaan moeten worden denk ik. Volop parkeergelegenheid en geschikt voor rolstoelgebruikers. Personeel is vriendelijk.

Tsja, waar zal ik eens beginnen... Laat ik vooropstellen dat de twee sterren die ik geef puur en alleen te danken is aan de vriendelijkheid van de dames in de bediening. Want de rest van de ervaring was ronduit teleurstellend. Jaren geleden hebben we hier al eens gegeten en gezworen nooit terug te komen. Die avond ging álles fout met ons diner; de helft van de bestelling vergeten, verkeerde gerechten uitgeleverd, koude gerechten geserveerd, drankjes vergeten en noem maar op. En dat terwijl we maar met z'n tweeën waren, dus zo ingewikkeld was het niet. Toen ik vandaag last minute alleen hier nog kon reserveren, hadden eigenlijk al alarmbellen af moeten gaan. Maar ik wilde graag geloven dat we destijds gewoon pech hadden gehad en dat ondertussen, zoveel jaar later, er vast één en ander veranderd zou zijn. Helaas bleek dit niet het geval en zijn we wederom van een koude kermis thuis gekomen. We waren om te beginnen de hele tijd in gevecht met de vele vliegen die ons constant lastig vielen (dit was gewoon binnen in het restaurant overigens, dus niet buiten op een terras). Daarnaast waren bij ons vlees de extra bestelde peper- en champignonsausjes verwisseld, waar we pas achter kwamen nadat we ze over het gerecht hadden gegoten. Op de friet zat geen zout en de 'tender steak' was alles behalve mals en leek meer op een kauwgombal. In plaats van medium, was ons vlees zo rare dat het nog net niet van het bord af liep. Tot slot was het 'grand dessert' voor drie personen gewoon een compilatie van een paar mini stukjes taart van de normale kaart (van elke soort één, behalve de brownies; dat waren er 2 voor 3 personen). Toen ik vroeg waar de rest was, omdat we voor drie personen hadden besteld, kreeg ik te horen dat dit voor 3 personen was. Het was de bedoeling dat we zelf alles door drieën deelden. De cheesecake en witte chocoladetaart smaakten als blokken boter met heel veel suiker. De brownies waren eerder blokken chocopasta op een koekbodem. Het enige lekkere was de appeltaart, die vermoedelijk bij de Sligro vandaan kwam en even in de oven was opgewarmd. De rekening; 135 euro voor 2 volwassenen en een kind. Als voorgerecht hadden we enkel het knoflookbrood (wat achteraf gezien eigenlijk het lekkerste van de hele maaltijd was) en daarnaast totaal drie drankjes. Conclusie; we hebben vele malen beter gegeten voor veel minder geld en na deze tweede ervaring zijn wij ervan overtuigd dat we de vorige keer geen pech hadden, maar dat dit helaas gewoon de standaard is bij Jack's Steakhouse...

Vrolijke, spontane bediening en heerlijk gegeten! Lekker o.o% Jupiler biertje, al zou die wel iets kouder mogen zijn!
