We had a wonderful meal here! The sushi was really incredibly tasty and there was plenty of choice. Everything tasted fresh and was beautifully presented. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. They looked after us well and we felt truly welcome. The service was top-notch! We are very satisfied and will definitely come back here again. Highly recommended! 🍣

I had given a tip to the girl who was going to serve us, but the man working there snatched it right out of her hands. It is very stingy there, and glasses are cleaned with the same sponge they use to clean the trash can. That man does nothing, while the children/teenagers working there do. The food was tasty though. They should pay more attention to the service, and I gave my tip to the girl for a specific reason, not to that man; very unfriendly.

Annoying owner, misleading prices

Very good and tasty food. The dishes were warm, the service friendly, and the service good. It's a shame only two desserts are included in the price, as I'm an ice cream fanatic.

They answered in a fair and timely manner, which immediately set a positive tone. It wasn’t an overlong exchange, but it didn’t need to be — what matters is that the enquiry was acknowledged and dealt with without delay. In a setting where too many places leave messages drifting unanswered, their willingness to respond directly is a mark of basic professionalism. That reliability alone makes them stand out enough for a solid four stars.

Beten is a great restaurant and is very tasty. However, I don't understand some of the dishes: why would you stick meatballs in sushi rice? Or banana? But there will be people who like those too. The service is excellent. Drinks are brought to you before you can even blink.

For what's more of a takeaway sushi spot, you can also enjoy a really nice meal here. Fast service and a wide selection, both all-inclusive and a la carte.

Unfriendly, the prices on the website are not being maintained and suddenly increased. Recently visited for lunch with three adults and a child. The website lists the following prices for an all-you-can-eat lunch on Sunday: €28.50 adults €17.50 children Upon first contact at the table, the price for a child is €25. We are quite surprised at the high price for a child in combination with the lunch, given the information on the website. Of course, we have had many experiences with all-you-can-eat sushi lunches, and the price for a child has never been so high. We will discuss this with the owner immediately. Besides the high price, they say the website is being updated, etc. The owner should have maintained the website's price or contacted them to inquire about this. The owner seems rather unfriendly. For a Sunday evening dinner, the price for a child is €2.20 per year of age. This means a 6-year-old would pay €13.20 for dinner. When asked why this cost would be €13.20 for the evening meal for a 6-year-old, while the cost for lunch (with fewer choices and less time) would be €25, the answer was that adults would pay €35. This would allow the cost for a child to be lower. I can honestly say that we've never had such a bad experience. The sushi itself is, of course, different and personal for everyone. Here, they put a lot of mayonnaise on the sushi, even though it wasn't listed on the menu. It lacked flavor. Several members of our group left feeling nauseous. We were ignored as we were leaving. All in all, a rather unusual experience, and we'd rather not have one again.

Misleading prices and unprofessional staff!!! We recently had lunch here with three adults and a child. The website clearly stated that the child rate for the lunch package was €17.50. However, once we were seated, we were suddenly told it would cost €25 per child. When we pointed out that this didn't match the online price and that we found it unacceptable, we received a lukewarm response, saying "the website isn't up to date yet." In our opinion, that's not a valid excuse for charging a higher price without prior notice. What bothered us even more was the staff's apparent change of heart after our comment about the price. They suddenly became distant and uncomfortable with us, and in the end, they didn't say goodbye after paying—the very least you'd expect in a restaurant. 3 stars for the food, because it was tasty, but there was a lot of sauce and mayonnaise, which, incidentally, was always spicy and wasn't mentioned. So if you can't handle this kind of thing, you've been warned. We certainly won't be back and hope this review will warn others. Transparency and customer service are unfortunately hard to come by here.

Recently discovered a fantastic Japanese restaurant in Zaltbommel – Japachi is a true hidden gem! The sushi is incredibly fresh and creatively prepared, and the hot dishes were a pleasant surprise – all truly delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. We really just wanted a quick bite, but this truly exceeded all expectations. We'll definitely be back!

Tasty dishes, nice staff. You can order 4 dishes per round, only 2 for desserts, we were not told that so there were extra costs. Not very bad but that's why 4 stars.

The tastiest sushi in the area. For pickup, the boxes also make the price reasonable.

Went to dinner with the four of us last night. Nice cozy place. Not a mass market like many other all you can eat places. The quality of the food is absolutely top notch, never had sushi so delicious, also a wide range. We sat upstairs near the bar, but what bothered us was the hatch of the elevator where the food comes up. That hatch makes a lot of noise when opened and closed.

Yesterday, February 14, we reserved a table for 3 people and a child (high chair). Upon arrival it was already super chaotic and they only had high tables to which I said, of course, you understand that we cannot sit there because of the high chair. Ultimately, we had difficulty getting a table that was set for 6, but low. Fifteen minutes later they brought the tablet and took a drink, another fifteen minutes if it wasn't 20 minutes later we got our drink. In the meantime we had already ordered food. After 1 hour!! After waiting we got up and wanted to go, we hadn't had any food on the table yet. In the meantime, the owner had also come to us to ask if we would like to get up and move so that she could grab another table and cram 2 more people next to us. My husband went downstairs to pay for our drinks and go, he was presented with a receipt showing the all you can eat arrangement for 3 people and he said I haven't had anything on my table after an hour, I'm only paying for my drinks. The answer he got was no, pay everything now and come back another time, you can come and eat, but during the week, it was now Friday?! Of course he only paid for the drinks. Came here regularly but this was the last time. Bad staff who do their best, but the owner is really antisocial and not customer friendly. It was really horrible.

Once, but unfortunately not anymore. We had reserved a table on Valentine's Day, but I received an error when booking, so we arranged it by telephone. Later I received an email so I made a reservation twice. You would think it should go well. However, we arrived and there was complete panic in the tent. Everything was busy and it took half an hour before we could be seated, then there was something wrong with the tablets and we had to change numbers with the neighbors. This confused everything even more. And it didn't work out, we had more than 10 wrong dishes without any jokes. We didn't get the last food of the first round until 90 minutes later and I waited half an hour for 1 beer. When I arrived I also indicated that my wife had a pepper allergy, but nothing was done about that. Our corner of guests just laughed about it, but there were also people literally screaming at the cash register. Apparently things were even worse upstairs...

Once good, now the worst sushi restaurant in the Bommelerwaard. Valentine's Day was supposed to be a nice day, it turned out to be a horror. Waiting times of 45 minutes for 1 to 2 of the 8 dishes. Hot dishes arrived cold, after an hour not even half of the first ordered dishes had been served. Because the portions have been approximately halved compared to the past and you can only order 4 instead of 5 dishes, you will leave here hungrier than when you arrived. It was completely packed and most of the guests were getting more irritated and irritated. Waiting staff did their best but could do nothing. The first round had not yet been completely served when we ordered three more rounds. With a waiting time of 12 minutes per round, that says something. Very unfortunate, I was a big fan of Japachi but this was absolutely worthless! The heating was cold and could not be turned up, finally a winter feeling! That was the only good thing about this evening!

No straw with the chocolate milk

Ate there on New Year's Day, made a few comments that the food was not good, nothing was done, salmon was very dry, the chicken was still half raw and you could wring out the potato biscuits, there was so much fat in them, the white fish also floated in bold, indicated again but nothing was done…. Scandalous.

Great meal. Great service and nice people. We opted for all you can eat. That was easier than a la carte.

Called, ordered food, discussed allergies. Removed and still with seeds and shrimps. So we were only able to eat part of it. 3 sushi packages, were good.

Another delicious meal. We have been here several times and the quality is always the same. Although the service had its first day yesterday, I think it was absolutely great, very neatly taken care of. We will definitely go back there again.

We ordered a bowl, fish soup and sushi. We couldn’t even eat the soup, it was tasteless water with fish sticks in it. The ‚bowl‘ was a tiny plate of chopped vegetables without any sauce. As we mentioned this to the waiter, he was quite rude to us. And we paid over 30€ for this terrible food and service 🤮

Very unpleasant restaurant. Owner is very unfriendly to both customers and his staff. The sushi tastes reasonable, but unfortunately falls apart. The products that come out of the fryer are far too greasy. I was here 3 years ago and even then it was mediocre, no improvement after these 3 years.

You can enjoy a quiet and delicious meal here. Management is doing their best. The only pity was that I got a drink that wasn't quite right (it can happen), only when I pointed it out they first apologized to my mother when paying (I think the owner) acted very strange as if I cared that the drink wasn't right was. I thought that was a shame!

Wij waren er op de verjaardag van mijn zoon. Zij hebben een actie dat wanneer je op je verjaardag komt eten, de jarige gratis is. Dacht, dat is leuk! Bij het melden van de jarige werd echter in plaats van te feliciteren eerst met een boos gezicht uitgebreid zijn legitimatie gecheckt. Vervolgens is ze 10 minuten met de rekening bezig geweest. Zijn menu werd eraf gehaald maar vervolgens heeft ze 3 ijsjes die eigenlijk in het menu zaten erbij geplust en in rekening gebracht. Het eten was ok, maar deze behandeling was zo onaardig en eigenlijk oplichterij dat het mij enorm tegenstaat. Wanneer je geen gratis menu wilt weggeven is dat prima maar doe dan niet deze actie!

You can eat delicious freshly made sushi here for 2 hours. Really tasty food! Lots of choice! Lots of variations! Nice layout. When it gets busier, mistakes occur. Like part of an order. You order via a Pad, but the WiFi connection sometimes drops out. The wait staff is willing to resolve this. But the quality of the sushi makes up for a lot.

Meat dishes extremely and unhealthy salty. I suspect that is done on purpose. The sushi was also a bit disappointing. Service was good.

Delicious food, highly recommended, super fast service, can be experienced both positively and negatively. But friendly staff and no comments whatsoever about the food. The decoration is mediocre, a bit boring. Choose calm, atmospheric music that suits your restaurant, I think it was radio NL, or some Frisian pirates.

Takes a very long time to get your food. If you click on 6:30 PM on the site, it is best to arrive around 7:00 PM.

The food is fantastic. The terrace outside is actually a little too close to the street. Service speaks poor Dutch but means well. But the food is really great

Geen hoogvlieger. Rijst is teveel en te klef. Het mist iets. Smaak? Kwaliteit is zeer matig. Hygiëne kan ook wel verbeterd worden. Toilet, tafels, glazen. Typisch All-you can eat doorgangshuis. Bediening is uiterst vriendlijke en doen hun best maar zijn geen echte horeca tijgers met ervaring.

Mega leckeres Essen, super schnell da, mit einem sehr coolen Konzept. Es macht sehr viel Spaß. Nur leider sind gerade die Preise für die Getränke etwas zu teuer. Ansonsten mega zufrieden, lecker Satt und würden gern wiederkommen wenn es uns in die Gegend verschlägt.

Vorige week voor het eerst met ons gezin wat besteld en thuis opgegeten. De kinderen zijn een voorstander van de gegrilde gerechten. Het was heerlijk en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Erg lekkere sushi en veel verschillende soorten. Voor een ieder wat wils.

Eten was gewoon goed niet bijzonder maar goed. Bediening was matig ergerde mij aan het oortje van de telefoon in zijn oor. En ze iets op de verkeerde tafel wat we onderling oploste maar toch wouden ze hun gelijk halen bij ons. Was helemaal niet nodig.

Flinke prijs stijging wij bestelde hier altijd heel graag maar het is echt flink duurder geworden en nu is de prijs/kwaliteit niet meer in verhouding. Erg jammer.

Het eten is niet slecht. Daarentegen zijn drankjes erg duur (bijna € 4 voor een flesje fristi voor de kinderen). Geen verschoonruimte aanwezig. IVM vol restaurant verzocht de eigenaresse om ons zoontje op de vloer (!) in het toilet te verschonen.

Door de drukte in het restaurant kwamen de rondes door elkaar. Als je dan met 4 personen bent wordt het ingewikkeld wie wat heeft besteld en welke ronde. Relax eten is hierdoor er niet meer bij ook omdat ze de tijd hebben teruggedraaid naar 2 uur. Ons eerste gerecht kwam pas na 25 minuten. De sushi zelf en de andere gerechten zijn heerlijk.

Ik had gehoord dat dit sushi restaurant een absoluut pareltje in de omgeving is voor de liefhebbers van sushi. Daar is niks over gelogen!! Het menu biedt een breed scala aan heerlijke opties die zowel de traditionele sushi als nieuwe gerechtjes omvatten die ik nog niet kende. De sushi lijkt met verse ingrediënten te zijn bereid en de presentatie was telkens erg mooi Het restaurant heeft ook een zeer gezellige sfeer en de bediening was uiterst vriendelijk en attent. Of je nu een sushi-liefhebber bent of nieuw bent in de wereld van sushi, dit restaurant is absoluut een bezoek waard en ik kom in ieder geval nog een keertje terug:)

Goed restaurant. Het was niet druk, dus we werden zeer snel geholpen. Maar ik heb er wel begrip voor dat gerechten wat later komen als het wel druk is. Je bent ten slotte gezellig uit eten, je zit niet in een vreetschuur. Goede en vriendelijke bediening. Genoeg keus op de menukaart en het smaakte allemaal heel goed. Zelfs iets eenvoudigs als gebakken rijst of chinese tomatensoep, simpele gerechten maar ze smaakten heerlijk. Kortom, zeker aan te raden om daar eens gezellig te gaan eten.

We komen hier best vaak en bevalt altijd zeer goed!

Our favorite place for take away sushi. Great price/quality. Easy to order online, and no waiting for when collecting the food at the restaurant. Easy to park in front of the restaurant.

Eerste keer afgehaald super lekker. Zeker een aanrader. Komen zeker terug.

Wij halen regelmatig sushi bij Japachi. Prima kwaliteit en goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding!

Klein tentje, goede sushi, beetje gehaaste bediening. Komen zeker een keertje terug.

Heerlijk , zeer goed , lekkere sushi en voor wie dit niet wil , genoeg andere heerlijke hapjes . Waren weekendje hier om te fietsen , en dan moet je ook eten , dit restaurant gevonden en staat nu bij ons favoriet als we vanuit het westen die kant op gaan , gaan we hier eten .

Eten is prima, niks op aan te merken. Waar ik me wel continu aan irriteerde is de vraag of je nog wat drinken wil. Iedere keer bij eten brengen werd het wel gevraagd. Je zag ook echt dat de baas het personeel daarop aan stuurde. ( je hebt toch een tablet waarop je het kan bestellen) Dus echt om nog meer geld binnen te harken, verschrikkelijk! Die avond zaten er ook nog 2 vrouwen buiten die klaagden, moesten heel lang wachten op eten. Hoe er mee om werd gegaan! 😱 Wij komen er niet meer in ieder geval!

Voor een all you can eat restaurant is de keuze vrij beperkt. Vlees is van matige kwaliteit, sushi is ok. Rookplek naast de ingang zorgt voor overlast in het restaurant en is wettelijk ook niet meer toegestaan.

Heerlijk gegeten en vriendelijk personeel

Als niet sushi lover een heerlijke avond gehad. Er was genoeg te bestellen zonder dat je aan de sushi moest geliven. Er is trouwens ook sushi zonder vis. Personeel is erg aardig en vol begrip en niet opdringerig. Al met al een aanrader en een leuke aanvulling op de andere restaurants in Zaltbommel.

Lekkere sushi die snel wordt gebracht. Het was alleen jammer dat er vaak al een heet sausje overheen werd gedaan. Zo was de zalmtartaar meteen bedekt met hele hete chilisaus waardoor je de zalm niet kon proeven. Dit stond er niet bij toen ik het bestelde. Hetzelfde werd gedaan bij de zalm-komkommersushi. Zonde van de smaak!

Eten was heerlijk en zou wat ons betreft 5 sterren zijn, we geven er maar 2 omdat restaurant geen corona toegangsbewijs checkt en dat maakt dat ze voor mijn gevoel niet veilig bezig zijn. Terwijl er meer dan genoeg personeel liep.

De sushi is prima hier! Afhaalservice ook goed geregeld. Als je in het restaurant eet zit je vrij dichtbij de tafel naast je. De oudere bediening (ik denk dat dat ook de eigenaar is) zou wat vriendelijker en socialer kunnen soms, maar dat is misschien ook weer persoonlijk. De jongere bediening zijn overigens dan weer heel erg vriendelijk.

We hadden gereserveerd. Toen wij op dit tijdstip aankwamen, moesten we in de rij aansluiten en stonden we buiten te wachten. Eenmaal binnen, moesten we weer naar buiten omdat onze tafel nog moest worden schoongemaakt. Dit werd ons maar liefs 5 keer gezegd. Toen ze de bestelling kwamen opnemen werd ons gezegd dat we beter iets warm konden bestellen, want als we Sushi zouden bestellen, zouden we niet zoveel binnen krijgen en honger in ons buik houden. Dus zijn we begonnen met iets warms. De eerste keer werd ons netjes gevraagd wat we wilden drinken, daarna lukt het niet een nieuw drankje te bestellen. Eén jongen bediende ons in een korte sportbroek met een winterjas. Hij zei dat hij alleen maar eten kon serveren. Toen we het aan (waarschijnlijk de eigenaar vroegen, zei hij dat hij zo terug kwam. Toen hij weer bij ons kwam zei hij dat we het maar via de tablet moesten bestellen. Uiteindelijk hadden we een tweede drankje. Na 1 ronde hebben we toch maar Sushi besteld. We wilden ten slotte Sushi eten en hadden hiervoor speciaal oppas voor onze kinderen geregeld. Uiteindelijk hebben we niet alle bestelde gerechtjes gekregen, maar we waren toch voor het all you can eat concept gegaan gelukkig. Het eten zelf was wel erg lekker. Jammer dat er een tijd loopt, hoe lang je nog mag eten. Dit zet toch wel enige druk op een gezellige avond. Zeker als het allemaal best lang op zich laat wachten.
