Jasmin Garden Borne in Wijk 00 Borne

I used to come here regularly to eat Japanese food from the griddle. After six years, I finally returned, but what a disappointment. Unfortunately, it is absolutely not what it used to be. I found the food well below par. The chef was more concerned with entertainment than with the quality of the food. Incidentally, the 'shows' didn't go entirely well either: butter almost flew onto someone's plate and there were bits of eggshell in the fried rice. Additionally, the beef tenderloin was very tough and grey. The service also left a lot to be desired. On several occasions, the waiter seemed unaware that we had been without drinks for two courses, despite repeated eye contact and waving. Moreover, his armpit regularly hit me right in the face when clearing tables and serving. I read somewhere that the restaurant was taken over around 2020... A terrible shame, because the glory days are clearly over here. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back.

We have noticed lately that there is very little chicken in the Tjap Tjoy, but tonight was a real low point: exactly one single piece of chicken. Given current prices, we expect a bit more from this. A shame; hopefully, this will be better arranged next time.

This applies to takeaway. When you place your order from home, there is almost no waiting time. There is plenty of friendly staff.

Well-maintained premises with nice details, friendly and helpful staff. The food is okay, but nothing more than that; it lacks flavor and isn't truly tasty Asian. You have all the ingredients in-house and the food used to have flavor, so why isn't that the case anymore? Make the food flavorful and there will be bright times for you again now that most Asian restaurants are disappearing. Tip: go take a look in the kitchen at Ling Fa in Almelo; it's just a takeaway restaurant, not a beautiful building, but the food is amazing.

With my stay in Hengelo for a long weekend, it was time to place an order at "Jasmin Garden Borne" in Hengelo. My favorite menu item, Peking Duck with spicy sauce and Nasi, was number 111 on the list of takeaway dishes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is free.

We have been coming here for Chinese food for years. However, the quality and taste have not improved. Truly tasteless. Next time to Hengelo.

The food is always super delicious. And I've always received good service too... for me, this is the best Chinese/Japanese place to eat and get takeout.

Too bad! I got the monthly set menu, but it was quite tasteless and the meat was poor. The quality is going downhill at Jasmin Garden. A real shame! Especially considering what they dare to charge for it these days.

Years ago, Jasmin Garden had good takeaway menus, but in recent years, they have been delivering increasingly lower quality takeaway menus. Prices are going up and the quality is deteriorating. It is a shame that there is only one Chinese restaurant in Borne, otherwise we would have chosen another one long ago.

Ordered Cha cha la kai. Very tasty, but the chicken-to-vegetable ratio is much more vegetable than chicken, and rice or noodles don't go great with it either. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Lovely place. The decoration is nice, atmosphere is good. Food is average.

Just a good Chinese Japanese restaurant

The food, takeout, was not tasty again. I had Tjaptjoi with shrimp 🍤. The shrimp were really not good; there was a slimy rim around them. And the tjaptjoi was very greasy and tasteless.

Beautiful, clean, and spacious. The takeaway area was really big. 2 rooms to look at. 1 for eating Chinese food and 1 for the sushi lover.

We're just grabbing a quick takeout here. The atmosphere isn't important then.

We visit these two restaurants regularly. But we were treated so rudely here today. We arrived at 7:45 PM. No good evening, not a "how nice to see you." Just a moment, please. The employee had to go and ask if we could come in. After some time, we were allowed to choose a table, but with the remark that the kitchen would strictly close at 8:45 PM. No problem for us, but not very welcoming. Next, we had to wait 20 minutes and were not given a menu. We weren't in a hurry ourselves, but the staff were. I went to ask for the menu. I was immediately snapped at. No apology, just a blunt remark: "I'm on my way." So incredibly inhospitable... we just left without eating. For good...

The Yasmine Garden spring roll looked like a greasy, limp rag and wasn't warm. So, unfortunately, the taste was the same. This Chinese restaurant is a massive takeout restaurant, with absolutely no sense of quality. This was, in fact, the very last time I went there.

I'm really done with Jasmin Garden. This is the third time we've gotten cold spring rolls. I ordered them and they were ready right away. I wonder if they're warm? Yes, ma'am, they're not.

I've been enjoying the Teppanyaki here regularly for over 25 years and have truly never had a bad experience. Always delicious food with friendly, enthusiastic service.

Paying €61 for a set menu, the tenderloin with leek was half empty, and the spring rolls were missing. The duck looked like half was freshly cooked and the other half wasn't. A shame, not worth it.

Very mediocre Chinese food. Bland, flat flavors. Not fresh, limp, floury spring rolls… limp, tasteless babi pangang. None of the dishes had any distinct flavor. I've had different experiences here in the past.

Jamin Garden, what's going on?! Bami Ramses = noodles and cabbage, no peanuts, no seroendeng, and a little tough beef, tasteless. Fried banana pale and undercooked with thick paneer = thrown away. Sushi unrefined and out of balance, more rice than shrimp or chicken = still acceptable, but too expensive for the dish. I don't understand it, but as people from Borne, we'll drive a bit further for Chinese food...

Picked up today: Nasi: excellent Duck with spicy sauce: the duck was tough, dry, and dark brown, almost blackened. Very poor and never seen it this bad before. The sauce was the same as below and not spicy at all Bacon babi pangang: meat dry and mediocre All in all, a poor meal for the price

We haven't been here for a while, but the service and food here are always of very good quality. When we visited them again last night, we were pleasantly surprised with the new modern interior design, a complete metamorphosis which looked very nice and it wasn't even finished yet according to the employee. We are therefore very curious about the end result. Another reason to go back again :)

Een mihoen met kip besteld. En ook nog een loempia. Die laatste smaakt overigens wel. Mihoen met kip is een drama. Wel mihoen maar geen kip. Volgens de baas hoort dat zo. Er zit gewoon geen kip in. Dat geloof je toch niet. Volgende keer naar Internationaal in Almelo!!!!!

Picked up noodles with chicken here yesterday. Once home I couldn't find the chicken in the noodles, so I called but I don't think it was taken seriously.

Picked up food today!! We ordered Chinese rice table for 4 people and an extra 1 portion of vegetarian nasi, but the portion was minimal, enough for 2 people instead of 4 people. It costs €93 in total, ridiculous!!! It was our first time at Jasmine's and it was our last time!!!

We had dinner here tonight in the Japanese restaurant with friends. A bowl with meat and fish was immediately placed which was uncovered and would be used for frying. This while the starters have yet to arrive. After standing like this for more than 45 minutes, they wanted to use this. Of course something was said and after a short discussion fortunately a bowl of new meat and fish was delivered. Then Katja, a female employee who bakes everything for the guests at the table, was briefly snubbed in public by a colleague. This was certainly disproportionate and absolutely unprofessional!!! You don't even snap at a dog like that!!! I hope this lady will look for another job soon! The food was small and tasteless. Price-quality ratio is not in proportion. Way too expensive for what you get! We will definitely never come here again!!!!

Great restaurant for Chinese takeaway

We have been purchasing tasty spring rolls from Jasmin Garden for 20 years. Tonight's spring rolls were very disappointing: The taste, the smell, the dough, the meat and the bean sprouts. Jasmin Garden: taste it yourself for an honest opinion. If they continue to taste like they did tonight, these will be our last!

If we want to pick up something, for example the Indian rice table, we really go to Jasmin Garden. We live in Almelo, but like to go to Borne

Regardless of whether it's food to pick up or in the restaurant: I've always enjoyed it very much. The rice tables are a nice way to try out many dishes with groups. My tip: Stuffed large loempia with babi pangang.

Picked up food on Friday!! Chinese rice table and pork belly! Was very bad this time! Pork belly very dry!! The kuluyuk was dried out in the microwave!! Really not edible! This has happened to us before! This was the last time for us!!

Jasmingarden is ons vaste Chinese restaurant waar wij vaak afhalen. Altijd goed, met af en toe een vergissing. Gisteren besloten wij na een fietstocht er eens te gaan eten in het restaurant. Bij binnenkomst moesten we een paar minuten wachten voor er bedieningspersoneel kwam. Op de menu kaart konden we niet vinden wat we graag wilden eten, dat was namelijk bamirames speciaal en mifang met kip. Ondanks dat het niet op de menukaart stond konden ze het wel serveren. Bamirames speciaal eet ik altijd bij een Chinees restaurant, het bestaat uit een schaaltje bami en diverse bakjes met bijgerechten, waaronder kip. Dit keer werd alles op een bord geserveerd, de kip ontbrak. Ook de mifang werd op een bord geserveerd. Het waren kleine portie en omdat alle bijgerechten ook op het bord moesten was er maar weinig bami. Verder was zowel de bamirames als de mifang niet goed warm en erg laks. Erg teleurstellend omdat we veel verwacht hadden van dit restaurant.

Thaptjoi met garnalen en mihoen afgehaald. Hoi zojuist thaptjoi met garnalen gehaald. Zaten 5 kleine garnalen in heel veel. Touge en bijna geen andere groente en geen smaak eraan. De mihoen zat alleen wat chinese kool erin En dat voor 22 euro . Hier nooit meer heen gaan,niet de eerstemaal dat er het niet in orde is.

Tasty Chinese with generous portions. Not too greasy or too salty. Busy around the weekends, ordering by telephone is recommended.
