The PIN doesn't work, or there are no milkshakes, or the machine is broken, or the ice cream isn't available... there's often something wrong. But the fries are delicious.

Yesterday, December 19, 2025, I tried again. I've now decided never to order from here again. I ordered giant fries once (we always order more than enough for two people), and now I got regular fries with mostly hard, disgusting pieces. In short, almost everything went in the bin. The snacks were a lump of grease (again). This place talks about "fresh" fries; "nasty, greasy" fries are a better term. I've ordered food before, with mixed experiences. Now it's so terribly bad. Fries, Bamirol, and sausage. Everything is hard and extremely greasy. It's like they can't fry fries, or they only change the grease once a month. Almost everything goes in the bin. No more Jean Paul for us. Well, a response after about four months? I guess I'll say, better late than never. 🥺 And yes, we called, but there was no answer🥺. The cheese sandwich from the market tasted much better. It's strange that so many similar reviews are posted by customers who don't like your fries. There must be a reason for that.

I stopped by to grab some food after work 5 minutes before closing time. The lady was already busy cleaning and was happy to make me something. Very friendly woman. I got an extra scoop of fries because otherwise they would have been thrown away, so I can't fault the service. I did think the price was exorbitant, or maybe I hadn't been out of the house before the war. But a special fries with a special frikandel roll for 10 euros is a lot of money. Oh well, it did fill my stomach. What I did find really critical was the taste of the frikandel, but especially the fries. As a true Rotterdammer, I know exactly what fries from Bram's taste like. But these were simply not good. Frying oil not right? Different frying oil? Different potatoes? It's certainly not comparable to Bram's in Rotterdam. The taste is completely different and not even really good. But the service was excellent, so we'll have to make do with that. Who knows, maybe I was just unlucky, I'll try again next time.

Yes, always good, isn't it? I feel sorry for them because they're really out in the cold, but they're always so friendly. The fries are always excellent, but that's what we've come to expect from them.

Great food, crispy fries, nice people

They serve your fries with those long, thin wooden forks that barely prick, so your clothes are immediately covered in sauce. When you go back to advise them to use different forks, you hear someone yelling at you behind your back. Last time I went there. I still had a coupon for free fries, which I threw away.

Update 26.10.2025 Review updated. Following the following, we were contacted by Jean Paul Ladage with an apology. They agreed that serving food to customers in the manner described below is unacceptable. They refried our entire order for free, and this time everything was exactly as expected. Deliciously crispy fries, everything nice and hot, and the snacks neatly placed in a container. Very satisfied, and the way they resolved this was truly fantastic. Until next time! 21.10.2025: We've eaten in and ordered takeout before, and this time we had it delivered. Good part: fries were deliciously crispy and everything nice and hot. Not so good part: More than half an hour later than requested, even though we ordered several hours in advance. Also: See below how we received our snacks. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. But, we were quite hungry by then, and everything tasted as we'd expect (good), so we didn't make a big deal about it. We do hope this can be better addressed next time.

What awful, old, and disgusting fries. And the place isn't fresh either, never again. Another response to your lies about AI photo editing? Then you should take a good look at your cash register. Hopefully, your new customers will also take a look at your filthy cash register. What a stupid answer! You should take my opinion and observation seriously. Oh yeah, I'm also removing the only second star because the service is even worse.

Very bad fries, already returned twice where the loos all small pieces for us never again

A cone of fries, tasty but with a lot of small, overly hard fried bits. Otherwise, the taste is fine.

Ate well. The service was fast. They have many choices in snacks. There was one gluten-free person with us. The fries are fried in a separate fryer than the snacks, which makes the fries gluten-free. We found it a bit more expensive on average, but that is of course different for everyone.

It is not a place where you go for a nice meal. There is a high counter behind which the staff stands on a platform (?) and chairs on a shelf on the wall where you can eat your food. I buy fries there every now and then.

Don't talk, just clean things up mentality. Fries with or fries without salt, no problem at all. Kind lady who, together with her son, has everything under control. And it's been a really long time since I've eaten such delicious fries. Topper:-)))

When we get fries it's always here. It's just a shame that nowadays ordering online doesn't work at all... everything filled in as it should be, because how difficult can it be... still error messages every time

The fries were fried way too hard. New way of frying or different potatoes? Wasn't a success. Don't come here anymore for a while.

Got food for 3 people at the end of the afternoon. Fries were really bad, hard and dark in color.. The snacks were okay, but the fries were really bad, and for that money...

The fries were freshly prepared in portions. Yummy :)

I think the new chicken dishes (hot wings) that are offered are very good. Not greasy and good in taste.

Had delicious fries here and ate with a snack. Super friendly staff and up for a laugh. Simple but good top concept and ideally located in the center, I like to eat fries here.

This week we ate fries with the family, never again!!! Hard, tough and not yet burnt. It used to be really the best, but now it's not anymore unfortunately.

Everything is made fresh on site and prices are completely okay. Very friendly staff. A bit limited space for eating, but it's okay. Your homemade peanut sauce is amazing! I can only recommend it to everyone

Unfortunately a sentence with X The lady put the remaining fries in my bag, which were cold. In addition, the bag was 2/3 full, while others were really full. But I wanted to fry new fries. She refused to ask if she could give me the fries in a bowl, even though the bowls were visible behind her. Therefore, not good service!

Almost 18 euros for 4 half cones of fries with thick warm mayonnaise. It's a shame that the cones were just over half full, but the mayo really wasn't fresh. Unfortunately I can't make my kids happy with a nice fresh fries!

I was there over 33 years ago when it was still called Bram Ladage. Just not where he is now. (HOPE TRUE). Very tasty 😋 fries 🍟 and everything else too. We recommend. Unfortunately no photos were taken.

Got fries for the family today. Fries were not tasty. I don't quite know how to describe it, but it is tough, hard, dry and dark in color. come to mind. Snacks were nice. No further comment on that. Service was also decent. Lady indicated that my Mexicano was broken. She asked if this was okay or if she should make a new one. This was not necessary. But I appreciated that it was pointed out. Fries were not what I was used to at the Spijkenisse/zuidplein or Alexandrium loading station. Maybe I was unlucky for once.

Leider waren die Pommes sehr trocken . Sie haben das Fett in der Fritteuse 2× gesehen . Die Sate Soße war dagegen mega lecker . Der Imbiss , sah alles etwas.....sagen wir mal , unordentlich aus . Brauch ich nicht wieder .

Ik haal iedere vrijdag een patatje en ze doen het goed inpakken omdat ik een stukje moet rijden . De service en de dames en het eten is super . Tot volgende week 😃

Je mag blij zijn dat je iets kan bestellen de dames staan alleen met elkaar te kletsen. Reactie op uw reactie is dat deze opmerking helemaal niet over vandaag gaat.U moet blij zijn dat uw klanten de moeite nemen om een review te schrijven.

Zaterdag lekker druk maar dan nog kan je wel klantvriendelijk zijn,personeel snauwde mensen af,patat was lauw en hard .Zo zonde van deze zaak,was altijd goeie patat en een vriendelijk praatje

Echt m’n favoriete snackbar in Hellevoetsluis. Eten is altijd lekker. Patat is sowieso bij hun de beste. Personeel is echt top. Zeker leuk met kinderen! Dikke aanrader als je lekker eten wilt!

Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening, ruime keuze, altijd erg schoon. Binnen zijn er wat zit mogelijkheden.

Heerlijke friet gegeten zoals je maar zelden proeft

Vandaag na lange tijd weer eens besteld, bestelling onvangen, helaas ontbrak de pindasaus voor bij de patat! Even een belletje met als gevolg: pindasaus en een nieuwe patat ontvangen en als goedmakertje, een milkshake en excuses! Mooi opgelost! Complimenten en 5 sterren verdiend, ga zo door!

Zeer aardige eigenaresse bellen ook netjes op als ze iets zijn vergeten en leveren het bij de volgende bestelling en eten is altijd ruim op tijd top service vooral zo doorgaan👍🏻

Patat te veer doorgebroken,klein beetje patat voor heeeeeel veel geld.Komen er zeker niet terug .Dachten bij Brammetje te halen.Wat een teleurstelling

Lekker eten (patatje oorlog met uitjes en een milkshake aardbei) en vriendelijk personeel. Wel prijzig, maar dat is helaas alles tegenwoordig.

Na ruim n jaar weer eens friet gegeten bij jullie. Ik vond het toen zo lekker. En nu....weer. Heerlijk genoten van goed gebakken friet met lekkere mayo. Ik heb gesmuld. Er staan trouwens ook hele spontane meiden in de zaak dat maakt het extra leuk.

De place to be, voor een lekker patatje.

Heerlijke verse patat, dus gewoon gesneden aardappel. In puntzak en desgewenst in een houder, zodat je je handen vrij hebt. Vriendelijk en opgewekt personeel.

Sehr freundlich, schnelle Bedienung, große Portionen, lecker, Imbiss, pommes .... , im Einkaufszentrum, nur hohe Stühle zum sitzen , ich liebe das Essen.

Even een patatje gehaald. Het was rustig de dames waren vriendelijk en eten was snel klaar
