Very unfortunate me and my friend went there. We both ordered 1 thing and then looked at our empty glasses for over an hour. Made eye contact several times but were completely ignored. The only thing the staff does is play with the cats so they go to the customers or sit on their phones, but there was no attention for the customer, they just walked right past us as if we weren't there, which is a shame. The cats were nice and cute, but I think that if you work in such a cafe that you have to pay attention to your customers and not just play with the cats for fun, where the customers get 0 attention from them, which is a shame. 2 years ago I had a very different experience and wanted to share it with my friend. We finally started paying and left to get something to eat because that wasn't going to happen, really a shame and really 0 attention for the customers

Enthusiastic employees with a huge heart for the animals. Every cat is talked about very lovingly. And yes...the door policy is strict, but everything is about the cats, so this can only be a good thing. Fester stole my heart, what a beautiful and sweet cat.

Incredibly friendly and cute cat cafe I was fortunate to visit recently. The owner is lovely and told me about their story and the background of their cats. The cats are beautiful and the cafe is beautifully decorated and you can tell the cats are happy, cared for and loved! I highly recommend going there if you are a cat lover! They have some amazing merch too!

Best cat cafe I've ever been to, the staff are very friendly and the food was delicious (especially the apple pie). A cat then let me pet it extensively 😄🐈. I can highly recommend it to everyone.

such a lovely cat cafe, with extremely reasonable prices. they don't charge an entrance fee, so why not come over to just have a coffee? it's the same price as other cafes, but with the bonus of cats 😻 i especially loved whitney so much, who was so sweet and sat on my lap for the last half an hour i was there. she needed to be carried off my lap as my time was up, which was just so adorable. they treat the cats really well and it's a comforting environment. my only wish is that the music could be a little softer, but the cats seem super used to the volume, maybe it's just me 😂 overall, such a lovely place. bonus is the food is actually tasty! most cat cafes have pretty bad food as you come for just the cats, but here, i would come back for both the food and the cute cats. and they speak great english for tourists ☺️ i would highly recommend!!!

What a cosy relaxing cafe ❤️ I recommend coming early to have the best spots in the cafe (or book beforehand). The staff is as friendly as the cats, as long as you respect their rules and boundaries! Very pleased 🥰

The kitties were adorable and the people there care deeply for them. There’s a list of the cats’ names with a little bit about them which is very helpful as they all have their own personalities. No entry cost so why wouldn’t you go there for a coffee or food!

Very cozy and fun. Seems pricey (hot water with a few mint leaves is almost €5) , but the money is used for a good cause! (the cats) and that makes up for a lot ;)

This afternoon my children treated them to a delicious lunch at Jippies, wonderfully relaxed living room atmosphere and so much fun with the cats, each with their own character. Nicely decorated, clearly showing that it's all about the cats

Had a super delicious tea here and was covered in white hair, great experience to relax for an hour with a cat on your lap. the cakes here were also super tasty. you notice that there is a lot of love going around here.

Super nice cat cafe, very spacious and beautifully laid out. Cats all come from the shelter and there are also a few old kitties. Food is great! The staff likes to tell the stories of the kittens I really enjoyed it and I will definitely come back again 😸

Wonderful place that really takes excellent care of their cats. I love the page in the menu that tells you about each cat and their personality-how much they like to be pet, their energy level, etc. The food here is great too! Lovely staff - all very caring and friendly. The cats have plenty of room, trees, beds, ramps and a kitty door to another room where they can chill if needed. Loved this place.

The Happy Place for all cat lovers! A cocoon for chilling and relaxing that just feels like home, friendly service, plus great apple pie and latte. Definetely a must in Haarlem!

What a disappointment. Very strange reception. So what are you doing? No atmosphere at all and not so friendly service. Does she enjoy it? Not worth going. And did cats really like it?

Close to the Botermarkt you will find Jippies cat café. I have been coming here for many years when I visit Haarlem - a stop at the cat café is a regular occurrence. Jippies' is a relatively narrow, but long café. There is a cozy living room feeling, with comfortable sofas alternating with slightly more formal tables and chairs. The menu is extensive and reasonably varied, and there are always specials. I am a huge fan of the cakes myself, and I dare to recommend the chai latte as the best I have ever tasted. No young cats here - there are real seniors among them, and they mainly stay in their own place. These are the cats you have to look for yourself, because they are at the back of the café. But your company is much appreciated, and there will be plenty of spinning and cuddling, so be sure to take a stroll through the café during your visit. There are also some younger cats, and they can really stir things up. They are definitely up for a game of play. If you have one (or more) cat(s), or know someone with one (or more) cat(s), you can also buy very nice cat toys in the small shop section for a very reasonable price. Also some stuff for the cat lover themselves.

I love cats. But this time I found the service not very friendly. Too bad I won't be back anytime soon with this experience

When you enter you pass through a kind of lock, as it were, very clever so that the cats cannot escape. We were asked to wash our hands there. Then you step into the room and it is full of atmosphere. A great living room vibe welcomes you. What is immediately noticeable is that the room is designed in such a way that the cats can go anywhere and withdraw themselves. The cats look well cared for and well, the staff is friendly. Inside it smells fresh and clean and looks neat. The staff also had a chat several times, which was very pleasant. The food is tasty, a bit small for my taste, but I'm a big eater myself so that's more just me. It was fresh and prepared with care.

We were offered lunch by friends in this cozy cat cafe. Enjoyed a delicious cup of soup and sandwich. Neatly cared for. The only downside is that our coffee was not finished yet and the soup was already served. Clean toilet. But most importantly, 6 lovely cats, all with their own instructions.

Last weekend there was a Christmas market, I wanted to end it with a cup of coffee at the cat cafe. I had been here once before and now I wanted to visit with my mother-in-law and children because it was so much fun. It said on the door that I had to ring the bell (it was very large and really stood out). A gentleman opened the door and I politely asked him if there was room for a cup of coffee. The gentleman, irritated, showed me another sign that they were full and wanted to close the door in my face without mercy. I politely told him that I had accidentally overlooked it. And then he closed the door in my face. Maybe he wasn't having his day or it was very busy (that can really happen to anyone), but this was a real downer. My children in particular were talking at night about how rude that gentleman was in closing the door. I hope to be able to visit again and be greeted politely, full or not full. Because we love cats!!!

What a nice experience to have lunch among the cats. It is decorated very nicely. There is a quiet, pleasant atmosphere inside with soft music in the background. There are booklets available with the names/ages of the cats in the café and a nice story about the cats (for example whether they like to be petted or not). In addition, I had forgotten my phone charger in the café and the lady very kindly mailed it to me (because I am not from Haarlem). Highly recommended!

i was here on saturday and it was soooooooo good!! whitney (the white cat) sat on my boyfriends lap for about an hour and it was sooo cute. drinks were delicious and the food even better!

We came by to make a reservation for the next month. At the door we saw a sign that there aren’t more than 8 kids allowed. We wanted to reserve for 7 kids, but they told us it wasn’t possible because ‘they don’t do parties’ (even though it was a month in advance and we asked for less than the maximum number of kids). We didn’t want a full party there, just to have a drink and some cake before we would go to the escaperoom. The ages of the kids were 9+. I can not accept the fact that you put a sign at the door with rules, which you apparently choose to not follow when it doesn’t suit you (for whatever reason?)

Advies: plaats een sticker op de deur waarop je aangeeft dat één keer bellen voldoende is en om even geduld te hebben want de bel is binnen wel hoorbaar, maar openen duurt even i.v.m. anders vluchtende katten. Niet iedere klant zal dit van te voren beseffen namelijk :)

This is such a lovely, relaxed cafe. The cats are all shelter kitties who are well loved and taken care of. Most love attention ( to varying degrees) and some will outright demand it. This is their home, and it shows by how comfortable they all are, and the relaxed vibe that creates. I visited 3 times while I was in Haarlem, and would have come back again. The staff are lovely and serve many tasty treats and good coffee. Highly recommend a visit if you're in town and missing your fur babies.

Waren das erste Mal in einem Katzen Café und sind begeistert. Super freundliche Inhaber, die Deutsch und Englisch können und die Katzen sind natürlich auch richtig toll. Auch die Getränke und das Essen haben richtig geschmeckt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Bardzo przyjemne doświadczenie, przemiła właścicielka, miejsce z duszą i zrozumieniem dla kotów. Do tego wyśmienita kawa i duży wybór gier. Jest to bardzo przyjemnie miejsce na spędzenie relaksującego niedzielnego poranka.

Jippies is a great cafe! It is nice and clean and offered a great menu as well. The Tuscan tomato soup was homemade, flavourful, and delicious. The hot dark chocolate was all natural and had a deep rich flavour. The sandwiches are made with healthy organic ingredients. Besides the food the store is filled with cat items for purchase. I bought the cutest cat earrings and cat bag. The five cats in the store will pull on your heart strings. The cats are well taken care of and have many different places to play…cat hammocks hung from the ceiling, baskets, cat towers and sofas too. If you are a cat lovers this is the place to be!

We had a lovely time at Jippies kattencafe during our visit to Haarlem! All the staff were so welcoming and gave us amazing recommendations for places to visit around the city! We also had some delicious drinks but mostly spent time playing with Fester as seen in the video! The kitties here were so calm and friendly with such unique personalities and stories, which was lovely to see at a cat cafe. We also got some toys and gifts for our kitties back home. I would highly recommend visiting Jippies Kattencafe to anyone for a guaranteed good time!

Ein sehr schönes Kaffee für alle Katzenliebhaberinnen und Liebhaber. Es wird viel Wert darauf gelegt, dass es den Katzen dort gut geht und man respektvoll mit den Tieren umgeht. Die Katzen können sich auch jederzeit zurückziehen. Es gibt eine Beschreibung der Katzen und was sie gerne mögen bzw. nicht gerne mögen. Essen und trinken waren sehr gut, das Personal sehr freundlich und Sprachgewandt (Niederländisch, Englisch und Deutsch). Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Haarlem gerne wieder. Dank je wel en tot ziens :)

Hartstikke leuke ervaring! Schatten van poezen en de salted caramel taart overheerlijk! Wel even reserveren dat hadden wij niet gedaan helaas maar niet teleurgesteld want alsnog konden wij dezelfde dag terecht om wat te komen drinken, Dankjulliewel!

Zeer jammer dat je niet spontaan binnen kan lopen. Ben bij andere katten cafés geweest waar dit niet zo was. Überhaupt niet gewend bij een café om te reserveren, behalve in Covid tijd. Gaat m dan niet worden in Haarlem helaas.

Een unieke plek waar je eet tussen de katten. Er liepen er 5 rond, waar wij stiekem hadden gehoopt op meer. In de kaart stond precies aangegeven wie de katten zijn en waar ze wel en niet van houden. Hierdoor kon je ze op de juiste manier benaderen. Je moet echt de tijd nemen, want de service is niet snel en het eten is gemiddeld. Je moet het geheel zien als een ervaring.

Gezellige sfeer in een rustig cafétje. We hebben helaas weinig interacties gehad met de katten, maar dat bepalen de katten natuurlijk lekker zelf! Het was ook laat in de middag. Het eten was verrukkelijk en ondanks dag er een ingredient ontbrak in een gerecht hebben ze het snel en vriendelijk opgelost.

Zeer gezellig. Hele lieve katten. De bediening is ook vriendelijk. De inrichting is een beetje appart doordat er extreem veel variërende katten ornamenten staan en hangen. Maar het is dan ook een katten cafe Het kleine winkeltje is ook een leuke aanwinst. Het enige dat ik jammer vond is dat de oorbellen niet nikkel vrij zijn. Anders had ik er meteen een paar gekocht. Maar met mijn nieuwe sokken ben ook erg blij!

Sehr liebes Paar, das den Laden betreibt! Den Katzen scheint es hier sehr gut zu gehen und es wird sehr auf ihr Wohlergehen geachtet. Sie waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Uns wurde direkt am Anfang eine verschmuste weiße Katze im Korb auf den Tisch gestellt - das war sehr süß :D Man konnte sich auch aus einer großen Auswahl an Katzen-merchandise etwas schönes aussuchen. Insgesamt waren 5 Katzen dort. Sehr hilfreich war, dass es zu jeder Katze eine kleine Vorstellung in der Karte gab, was welche Katze mag und auch nicht mag. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! ❤

Kattencafe in Haarlem, wist niet dat zoiets bestond:) . Via een reservering mag je naar binnen:) en ook de plaats waar je mag zitten gaat op reservering, proest. Iemand die ik ken van de yoga vroeg of ik zin had een bakkie te doen, ze was er met haar zoon. Ja waarom niet, wilde het wel eens meemaken, en we hebben gezellig zitten kletsen. Veel toeristen en ouders met kinderen.

Gezellig, rustig café. Niet veel katten gezien. Mijn collega vond de pesto avocado tosti lekker. Vegan opties op de kaart. Je moet reserveren, aanbellen als je er bent en je handen wassen bij binnenkomst. In het centrum. Parkeren super duur.

Ich habe zum ersten Mal ein Katzencafé besucht und bin begeistert. Es gibt viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten für die Katzen und einige suchen direkt Kontakt zum Besucher. Der Kuchen und der Kaffee waren auch sehr lecker.

Heerlijke plek om even gezellig wat te drinken en hapje te eten. Lief personeel en er wordt goed voor de katjes gezorgd.
