They make you go across the street to ATM to pay in cash (€50 minimum btw) and they literally are owners of that shop too and there’s a service fee (€4) for the atm. SCAM Unfortunately, we didn't check the reviews before going, and what a mistake! We were told we had to buy drinks to stay (€4 per drink, price not listed anywhere, of course). We received the final price: €32 for two drinks and two kebabs (€9.95 each). €2 for a tiny slice of cheese, €2 for service. Honestly, it's outrageous. There were two people there; the younger one seemed nice, but the older one was really unpleasant. Seriously, avoid this place! First time we've ever paid for service in a kebab shop.

The food was awful, poorly made, and absolutely not worth the ridiculously high prices. It’s shocking how they’re still in business with the way they treat their customers. Extremely rude owner and terrible service. The elderly man seems to enjoy arguing with customers and comes across as a racist. When you pay with a card, they charge you extra without permission and shamelessly raise their voice at you. It’s clear that manners and proper upbringing are missing. The worst part? Don’t come here. They over charge you on your order. They ask if you want items such as cheese (apparently $2 extra per dish), jalapeños ($5), sauce ($2 each). They asked if we wanted sauce and automatically gave us 3 when we said yes. Charged us for all 3 when we did not use them all. They even came back to ask us if we wanted cheese on the one dish we said no to. These add ons are hidden on the back page of the menu. They actively trick you into paying more which is distasteful. There is no itemized receipt and you only find out at the end that you can only pay cash. TERRIBLE experience.

My craving for a shawarma turned out to be disappointing. It’s not like you order and they make it as you select toppings. You have to order and wait. They bring your food with no toppings, no radish… nothing, just lettuce and jalapeños. The guy asked if I could pay cash which is a sign of unprofessionalism. Expensive and not worth it. I tried this snack bar in Amsterdam and I have to say that the experience was quite disappointing. The welcome wasn't particularly warm, we felt like we were bothering more than anything else. We ordered a 12.95 plate and a 15.95 plate. My friend noticed something was wrong as soon as we entered, they literally took the menu back from us. When we went to the cash register, the bill suddenly showed 60 Euros and they wrote down a lot of extra things they wanted. We both still calculate it, and amount doesn't reach 60€ even with the extras they wrote. Also, cards are not accepted. I think it's because of taxes. Portions are also smaller than all kebap restaurants in europa. They offer you something like free and you have to pay them more than your meal. Our meat was also undercooked. Giving one star since there is no option for 0. Staff was so rude. One man was standing at counter. He overcharged for food which was not provided. I mean charged extra and still couldn't justify for what he was charging. Upon asking he got angry and started shouting. I am surprised how this restaurant is running with such rash behaviour. I would give zero star but there is no option. We ended up going to this place at 11pm as no other places were open. The owner was taking the order and was noisy the whole time. Very loud and annoying and the place did not feel clean. The food was very dry with no flavour. Best shoarma place in Amsterdam! We tried some around the area, but none came close to how delicious their wraps and food were. It was fresh and flavorful, we were savoring every bite. The customer service is also great. I wish i had tried this spot the first day we arrived. Until next time!

Don't understand the bad reviews. Yeah sure it's not the best place. The food is decent, portion size is normal. Prize is reasonable. Food is halal and they didn't play music which was important for me and my wife. Place itself isn't anything special. Wouldn't say it's the best looking nor that it's the worst, average imo. The price is structured with french fries and drink equaling more than the wrap. A napkin is 1 Euro. I was denied food because I would not buy into the drink or french fry scam. I'd honestly never eat here again. Who wants to pay €38 for 2 wrap of some stale meat shavings hydrated with a dirty old water bottle,salad, box fries, and warm drink?

The worst Arabic restaurant in Amsterdam. The staff are Egyptian. They eat while your food is being prepared. The atmosphere is very disgusting and the food is very bad. I do not recommend it at all.

We had an absolutely disastrous experience at Kabab House. It's simply a rip-off and a disgrace to fast food. Not only were the tacos the worst I've ever eaten (extremely poor quality meat, disgusting taste), but the owner also ripped us off by charging us for completely unjustified extras, like "cheese" that came out of nowhere. When we pointed out the error on the bill, he became incredibly aggressive. Paying 16 euros for such a culinary insult and such service is unacceptable. Just arrived in Amsterdam. A question must be answered immediately, can they brew a wicked durum?! They prove difficult for the little biks we find in the alley. I remembered the price of the animal to be a small 7€. It's an okay price, but not for this size. Usually a durum is an arm, this is not an arm. There are fries, but these fries weren't crispy, and my traveling companion gave me the rest of his as they didn't whet his appetite anymore. In general, the durum was delicious, but simply too small, and not enough vegetables/dressing in it. I'm a velogmark Copenhagener, and like them a little fresh. #BobogPerpåtur

What a horrible experience! First, I got coerced into sitting on a bigger table. We were group of 4. We were then asked to move to accommodate another family. Constant miscommunication with the order. After multiple corrections again, the wrong order was brought. Chicken instead of lamb shwarma. Then the waiter said they were out of lamb. Suddenly, lamb was available again. After eating, I found it was not pure lamb but pieces of chicken mixed with some lamb. Overcharged for drinks. Cramped seating. Cracked crockery. Ripped off......the food might be Halal, but the customer service and quality certainly is not!

I took a plate of shawarma with kebab and the shawarma was very bad and all salt and when we told him he said you didn't say chicken? I was walking by and saw their tasty looking menu and decided to give it a try! I was so pleased with the food and service that i decided to give a review and honestly could not understand all the bad reviews people are posting. I say give the place a try and you will see for yourself. Enjoyed every bit and will come back as a regular!

A halal kebab shop. Food tastes good but you must it when still hot. If you take away and eat it when it is cold, the meat will get tough. Service...the owner is not that friendly, but he serves quite fast. Atmosphere...dont expect much from such a small shop. Price wise...10€ for a shawarma... I dont know.

Don't come to this restaurant!! We did not check the reviews and that is why we got charged twice expensively on the drinks. For a tea they charged 3.95 euro, and for a hot water 2 euro..and those they charged 11.90 euro..
