I ordered chicken fillet with peanut sauce and received chicken fillet curry sauce. She kept insisting that this is what you ordered... haha. Tasted good too!

Unfortunately, the staff is not customer friendly and does not want to make too much effort to make the guest happy.

Have been calling for an hour no one answers, call another branch they say yes if it is busy they don't answer... I say 'so'? He says keep calling bro....😒

The business has been in the Amsterdamse Poort for years. We have one in town too. The food is delicious, take away is an option, but you can also eat on site. Come here a few times a year, I keep noticing that you experience inferior service when picking up. That's a shame, because it would make the experience a lot better. Parking is easy in the parking garages with entrances around the Bijlmerdreef.

Price-quality ratio here is very good. The taste of food is much better on the Bijlmerplein than on the Warmoesstraat.

Authentic for the Bijlmer, where local people also come to eat. Not very modern and a bit dark, but that also has its charm.

I discovered this place by chance. Very close from the central station is a very good Asian restaurant. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The dishes very good. Come by here too.

Good afternoon, I would like a shrimp sandwich and a fried cod sandwich... Rolls are filled and first heated in the microwave, then crushed in a toaster grill, long... ...that's €10.90 please. Bye Bakkeljauw sandwich tasted good, a bit sweet and a bit dry, but not bad. The shrimp sandwich tasted like soy sauce and the shrimp were just not chewy. My tip, use fresher rolls next time, and make the filling for the rolls fresh daily so that it is less dry.

Nice and delicious. It is not a restaurant with pretensions. Just eat well and move on.

The food was like a mess and I felt sick for half an hour afterwards. The rice and sauce we tried tasted like it had been left in the kitchen and warmed up. The decorative cucumber had expired. Shortly afterwards I complained to the waitress, who neither accepted the criticism nor wanted to lower the price and also shouted at me across the shop.

Chicken with black bean sauce, certainly not a bowl full like it once was before the pandemic. The sauce was barely a tablespoon and a half full. We have always loved getting our oriental meals here. Compared to the 2019 menu list, they have become almost €5.00 more expensive for every €10.00, with smaller portions and the good taste of the past, which has almost completely disappeared... we have lost them.

The food was super spicy. I indicated that I come to eat with my family at least once a week. And always the same order. But this was simply inedible. But she didn't really care. Still had to pay and didn't eat. I actually found the woman's reaction so antisocial that we won't be coming back here again. We are going to test out another tent. Because that's not how you treat people.

Came for a bite to eat before a concert. The service is really very mediocre. You can't help but smile, people look at you blankly, they speak very limited Dutch and person 1's order is brought quietly ten minutes later after person 2's order. The food itself was quite good. From a hygienic point of view, there is still a lot to be gained here.

I have often been treated badly in this place, but the lady in a short tennis skirt yesterday really took the cake. I order my fried rice with chicken because I am allergic to shrimp. The lady brings a plate of fried rice with the largest shrimp ever. Then they get angry at me because I don't eat shrimp and think I have to pay for them. Then she goes to the kitchen to get a plate of nasi with chicken and it came straight from the freezer (forgot to heat it up or something). When I spoke to her, she threw the food in the microwave for 8 minutes on the highest setting, so my chicken was completely scorched. When she saw that I wasn't eating and wanted to write a review, she offered me a normal piece of chicken, but by then my appetite was already gone. I paid 50 cents for a bowl and gave the food away to a homeless person outside and apologized in advance if I didn't like it. Reminded me of the day my mother bought a long bean sandwich with shrimps and only found 2 and a half small shrimp in the sandwich and they thought there was not much shrimp in it as it was called long bean with shrimp and not shrimp with long beans 🤷🏽 ‍♀️ 🤷🏾‍♀️

One of the night sin Amsterdam we ventured in here for our dinner and damn it was a good choice. Place was really busy but we werent waiting too long for a table. The staff were professional and friendly. The restaurant had a good ambience. The food was finger licking gorgeous. Had to remind them a few times about getting another round of drinks but other than that spot on.

The food tastes good. But I have already made two visits where I asked in advance to warm up the food properly...... Unfortunately, you still get a lukewarm plate of food, which is a shame

Never again! What a disappointment!! This tent has seriously deteriorated!! You don't have to be here for customer service. It's too busy, so you get snubbed by waitresses and are literally turned away to eat quickly and then get out again 🙈 wonton soup tasted of nothing and noodles were also completely tasteless. It used to be good here, but now it's just bad!!!!

A moksi sandwich with very little meat, little taste and tough. I was so looking forward to it. It's a shame that the place we used to visit twice a week has become so much worse. No more Kam yin for us.

Interior is old/dark, but the food is amazingly delicious! Something for everyone. Service is nice/helpful. Everyone who comes here goes home with a full belly.

Fantastic Chinese Surinamese eatery, they don't rely on the atmosphere and service, but the food on the other hand is inimitable.

Just a very good value for money option. Generous portions, tasty dishes and fast service. Both the roti and the Moksi dishes are recommended. Definitely do it if you want a quick, tasty and, above all, filling bite before the match or concert.

We have been coming there for years and that was long before the Euro and the food and service are also great and we still know some of the people from the service from that time. We are from Hilversum and enjoy going there, always pleasant.

Had cooked myself but felt like having fashong with it and got bak fashong from Kam Yin. It was neatly wrapped with sauce on the side and taste was good. Good service and price too.

Terrible! This is supposed to represent a baka bana 🤢 As you can see from the photo it looks old, dry and unripe! I don't even want to start about the 'satay sauce'. Immediately thrown away. Waste of my money.

This Chinese restaurant was recommended to us, but we didn't like the food or the service. The only good thing, the location in the Red District, very central.

Yesterday I visited a restaurant where it was 28 degrees outside. However, it was considerably warmer inside; I estimate about 35 degrees. The restaurant had no resources to temporarily purchase fans. When I spoke to the staff about this, I was told that it is a cheap restaurant and that there is no air conditioning and that is why the food is also cheap, a tjaumin chicken about € 11, only contains tjaumin and chicken and dry cucumbers, 2 slices . In addition, the staff was unfriendly and the owner was not present to receive complaints. There are no chopsticks in a Chinese restaurant, so I ate fried rice with a fork for the first time in my life! When I eat in a Vietnamese restaurant, Vietnamese bosses know how to give them chopsticks. You are a Chinese restaurant, don’t you know? The service attitude was very poor. We didn't speak English well, but the waiter just didn't speak Chinese. In the end, he couldn't start speaking Chinese. Did he deliberately not speak Chinese when he saw Chinese customers? Very rich and well located. However, the attention leaves something to be desired. I think there is very little staff for the number of tables, the waitress looked very upset and rushed, which affected our experience. Food is tasty here. What's strange is that there are still flies stuck to the wall. Service from an older woman is quite rude, not customer friendly. Great for something to eat once in a while. I understand that the quality is not that good when it comes to collection; you're better off eating there.

They are always angry, they can never communicate and when I always want to call to make a reservation, they never answer the phone, this is really terrible!

It’s not the best food, but good food value for money. The drinks were not really cold but you can ask for ice cubes.

Great city spot close to central station and the neighbourhood of Zeedijk. Opens late good reputation for quick service and big portions . One of my go to places in Amsterdam.

Their food is not as tasty as it used to be, but they have become more expensive. The Nazis are so loud and they don't smell fresh. Shame! Kamyin used to be our favorite restaurants.

I know Kam Yin from the city and always thought the food was very good. At this location the food was bad, very bad! If the food had been good, we would have had to leave after a few minutes because we were stung by the large number of mosquitoes in the building😱 what a shame this was and a real waste of our money!!!

This is where you go for a quick and delicious meal. You don't have to do it for the atmosphere or friendly service! It's great that you can still eat for a normal price.

It’s really close to the central station and the food was good. The staff was also nice but everyone got served before us although we came in about 10 min earlier and placed our order sooner. Nevertheless good food

The food no longer tastes like it used to. It's "okay" if you don't want to cook sometimes. If you don't ask, you won't get any sambal. I only found out at home, unfortunately!

Know what you are getting into, this food and the way you work should suit you. Everything is just a little different than usual. But if you understand a little bit about how this tent works, it really is the pearl of the southeast.

Nasi special is too expensive with respect to the price. Less small pieces meet and the meat (pig) is sliced in very small pieces, to make it seems like is much. Very smart! I always have to beg for yellow and brown pepper. Once the food is ready, the discussion starts about the pepper. The pepper is included in the price. Therefore the service is not the way it should be. In short: expensive and greed for pepper and due to that is the service not good. Normally I would not give even one star!

Went again on February 4. The Pom seemed tastier than ever. I now live a distance away, but I will definitely eat there again more often. Would love to come and have a bite to eat. They are not stingy with the portions. Doggy bag is also no problem. Price-quality ratio... you get more than your money's worth. RECOMMENDED...

Always fast service and delicious food.

It's always good, tastes delicious and keeps you full for a small amount. You don't have to go for the atmosphere, just for a full stomach.

Pick up good and fast food... you can do that here. You always have to ask for sambal or you won't get it!

Today 12.1.20.24 I was treated very badly by a new employee, I was scolded myself, incredibly old staff, the two women did not dare to do anything when the man was gone, they apologized. I don't know if I still get food here and have certainly been coming to Kam Jin for 20 years.

This place is unusually busy. Even way too busy, which means there is no good contact with the staff. Majority of visitors almost all come for pick up. Waiting time is on average 10 minutes. But the nutrition is optimally good.

On busy days they should stop taking reservations for the restaurant!!! The queue is full of people, and tables inside are empty for 30 minutes

The food was amazingggg!! Would love to come back here and try other dishes because their menu has so many interesting dishes to try. The place was crowded and for the good reason.

No answer to calls.. long waiting time during rush hours.... But food is great and worth value.... People need food first so thank you for serving us great food

Seems like quality/taste of food has deteriorated. You don't come here for the atmosphere and the unpleasant, sometimes downright rude service, and now I certainly don't come here for the food either. The food used to make up for a lot, but not anymore. It also took more than half an hour before I got my 3 dishes.

Baka bana was hard en zat geen smaak aan. De pindasaus erbij maakte ook niet veel goed. Aan de telo met bakkeljauw zat ook geen smaak. Mijn collega had naast een broodje kipkerrie ook nog een roti kipfilet besteld. Deze roti liet lang op zich wachten en bij navraag bleek deze te zijn vergeten. ipv daarvan. om het nog langere wachten te voorkomen, nog maar een extra broodje kipkerrie besteld. Eten en service was dus erg matig.

Deze vorstelijke eetgelegenheid heeft niet alleen mijn culinaire verwachtingen overstegen, maar biedt ook een buitengewone "value for money". De gerechten, doordrenkt van verfijnde en authentieke smaken, getuigen van ongeëvenaard meesterschap, terwijl de presentatie een ware kunstvorm op zich is. De bediening, doordrenkt van hoffelijkheid, en de weelderige ambiance voegden een onmiskenbaar vleugje grandeur toe aan mijn gastronomische reis. Ongetwijfeld een aanrader voor fijnproevers die op zoek zijn naar een onberispelijke Chinees culinaire ervaring, met een uitzonderlijke prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Yo seriously if you come to Amsterdam for more than a few days you should go check out de Bijlmer. If for no other reason than yo try this restaurant. It goes so hard with the flavor it's insane. Everything is perfect at least what we had on the three times we ate their food. Incredible spice and taste and the whole area is dope. The indoor market across the street is also excellent. It's worth the 20 minute direct Metro from the center for sure.

Ruime keuze als je van surinaamse eten houdt. Helaas de kwaliteit van de eten is niet meer zo als 4 jaar terug. Vind het wel jammer.... want ik kwam er graag.

Heerlijk Chinees Surinaams eten. Rijden er voor om als we in de buurt van Amsterdam Zuidoost zijn. Beste tjauwmin Moksi Meti van de omgeving! Kom hier al meer dan 20 jaar vanwege het lekkere eten!

Dieses Restaurant wird regelrecht überrannt. So voll, dass man seine eigene Stimme nicht mehr hört... einfach zu laut. Aber... im Gegensatz zu anderen Rezensionen haben wir göttlich gegessen: wir hatten einen Szechuan Teller und eine Tau si ngau, welche beide extrem gut gewürzt waren und super schmeckten. Getränk bekommt man hier direkt aus der Alu-Dose (keine Gläser), aber auch ok. Dafür wurden wir sehr schnell bedient. Also, ich würde wieder hingehen.

Das Restaurant liegt in der Nähe von Rotlichviertel Amsterdam, man kann Essen bis 22 Uhr bestellen. Das Essen schmerkt nicht etwas besonders. Die Toilette war schmutzig. Die Ente wird nicht weiter empfehlen

Ik heb 4 porties bami en nasi besteld en ik heb als nog maar 2 zakjes sambal gekregen, ik moest zelf om meer vragen. Toen ik thuis kwam maakte ik de bakjes open en zag ik bij elk bakje maar een half stukje komkommer. Niet zeer tevreden.

My family and I discovered this place the last day we were leaving Amsterdam on our 4 nights holiday and we cried, the most delicious food in Amsterdam, this is located in the same building with Pancakes Amsterdam, the staff, the food, everything was on point. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Amsterdam. This is worth your money and it not expensive too. We will definitely visit again.

Het eten is niet meer hoe het vroeger was ... En is duur voor wat je krijgt

Je besteld 4 x een moksi speciaal. Er word je een verhaal opgehangen dat je 3,50 extra betaald omdat je het vlees apart krijgt. Bij ontvangst ligt het vlees bovenop zoals je het bij de normale bestelling ook krijgt. De desbetreffende medewerker geeft aan dat ze de "speciaal" in de normale porties verwerkt hebben. Dit is dus 1 grote leugen!! Als jaren lange klant weet ik wat haal. In de restaurant zelf is men niet voor rede vatbaar want de buit was uiteraard al binnen( €76 euro aan bestelling). Nooit weer voor mij.

Lekker Surinaams eten maar bediening en sfeer zijn minder goed. Er zijn veel kleine vliegjes in het restaurant en ik vraag me af of dit door slechte hygiëne komt.

My husband and I discovered this place randomly. We were walking and looking for a place to eat that wasn't a tourist trap. We found Kam Yin at 18:30 and there was a line of people out the door. We figured we would like the menu and waited for a table. Wait staff was pleasant and took our orders. The food was flavorful and delicious! (In the United States, dishes are marked "spicy" and there is no heat.) Here, you get what a dish *should* taste like. My husband and I ate at this restaurant a total of 3 times in the 4 nights we were in the area. Such good food, good prices, and a full restaurant every night?!! YES!!!
