The was almost no chicken in saoto soup, but too much taugé beans. The broth had no flafor Roti roll portion had very small amount of chicken.

As a Surinamese person, I can say that this is really not authentic Surinamese food, but rather quickly cobbled together to sell to those non-connoisseurs... very unfortunate, there are plenty of better options in the area anyway.

Marina Plaza is a great spot in Amsterdam oost for authentic Surinamese food. The dishes are very tasty and full of real Suriname flavour. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very good for the quality you get. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for delicious Surinamese food in Amsterdam!

The quality has deteriorated considerably. You had to search for the chicken in the soup, and there was a small amount of rice for €9. The cod was also very little. The chicken satay noodles were okay. The spring roll wasn't what I was used to from Marina; I took one bite, and it was my last. It's a shame their food was always delicious, but now the quality is much worse.

Incredible little restaurant, with real authentic homestyle cooking of the highest quality, and really friendly and helpful staff- a lovely mother and daughter team it seems. This is apparently an Indonesian Surinamese restaurant and the combination creates a unique and delicious menu. It is reasonably priced, and they kindly gave us a free fried plantain!

For the first time, I've found an authentic Surinamese restaurant with top-notch service! The staff is so friendly that it feels like you're dining with family. Delicious food prepared with love, and a warm welcome/treatment when you stay. What more could you ask for? ❤️

What bullshit opening hours. It says open until 21:00 but they close earlier. You knock, they look at you and continue with their work. They don't answer the phone either. Real antisocial people!!!

Super cozy Surinamese restaurant. Hostess Marina welcomed us warmly. We were served every step of the way by Mr. Gideon. We were able to chat while enjoying the delicious dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.

Marina is a very pleasant and sweet woman who can make delicious food. The chicken noodles and beef nasi are my favorite dishes that I can quickly pick up after work. I then get a full bowl of all kinds of goodies, which I often just don't finish or can barely finish on my own. During King's Day they had the tastiest chicken sandwiches and bakkeljauw! Highly recommended!

The tastiest Nasi Rames ever! I don't understand the negative reviews. The food is simply fresh, super tasty and the portion was so large that I was still full and satisfied until the evening. Everything has become more expensive, so the owner also has to live. I think price and quality are fair.

Got 1 roti chicken.... 2 small pieces of chicken, 1 tablespoon of vegetables and 3 pieces of potato. The pepper gives it some flavor, but I find it disappointing such small portions

De grote saoto soep is klein vergeleken met andere restaurants. Ik zat nog niet vol met deze kom als avondeten. Ik zei er wat van maar mevrouw negeerde me.

Een heerlijke Souto gegeten. Bami sate viel tegen. Ik vond de bami droog en de satesaus te weinig over de satestokjes. Ook was het heel pittig en zaten er teveel grote stukken pinda in. Ik mis dan die smeuïge saus.

Lekker lekker lekker! Echt fijn Surinaams eten. Goed geprijsd ook. Aardige bediening. Leuk zaakje. Veel Surinamers ook die hier komen, een goed teken denk ik dan als 'kaaskop'. Niet al te lange wachttijd. En vooral lekker, lekker, Lekker!

Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. De roti was jammer genoeg behoorlijk teleurstellend. Geen aanrader.

Go there, just go there. I've been eating here for years and Marina is just lovely. If ywliu want to try Surinamese food here is a great place to start because you're getting the real thing here.

Ik word altijd snel en vriendelijk geholpen. De eigenaresse is een aardig mevrouw waarmee ik graag een praatje maak. Daarnaast is het eten super lekker. Mijn favoriete (lunch)gerecht is een broodje bakkeljauw. Zeker een aanrader! Ben je nog niet bij Marina Plaza geweest en bevind je je toevallig in Amsterdam-Oost, dan zou ik zeker een keer langsgaan voor heerlijke Surinaamse gerechten! 👌🇸🇷

Best Roti Roll in town!! We love to go get lunch and I really recommend the Baka-Bana and their other vegetarian options! The food is prepared in the moment, so I recommend to pre-order before picking it up! The service is great and very polite!
