Very nice cats from the entire cat color spectrum. The food was decent; we had a brownie and apple pie, but the brownie was a bit meh.

It was really cozy, the cats were so cute, and the pumpkin spice latte was absolutely delicious.

A great place for cat lovers. Nice coffee as well, along with some decent lunch options.

I’ve just had one of the best carrot cakes ever.My black coffee had perfect crema on top just like Italian coffee should have.The young girls working there were so sweet and were doing a perfect job.And of course the cat were just the cutest!

We found this neat cat cafe in a nice spot in Zwolle. Beautiful cats were sleeping, but if we were quiet, we were allowed to join them too ;) Very friendly staff and great food and drink options. It isn't very big, so I appreciated that there were rules regarding (too) small children.

Cosily decorated cat café in the heart of Zwolle. On weekend afternoons, it gets very crowded inside and also a bit stuffy. The cats are usually quiet in the afternoons when they are sleeping. Fine drinks, nothing special... but we come for the cats; that is precisely what makes it fun to visit here every now and then.

Had a cup of tea at the cafe today. The cats seem very relaxed. They slept a lot, but that is what cats do. However, I did find there was a pungent smell (I have 2 cats myself and you don't smell them) and my eyes bothered me afterwards. Something I haven't experienced before at other cat cafes.

A truly wonderful café! The staff are very friendly and the cats are absolutely adorable. The café is beautifully decorated and very cozy! It's definitely worth a visit. The food and drinks are also delicious!

Yeah, nice place! Atmospheric location and friendly staff! The menu is perfectly fine. I had quite a few homemade lemonades in Zwolle and the surrounding area this past week, but the one here was definitely the best!

Soooo cute and so relaxing. We went there spontaneously and were lucky enough to find a free table. Completely peaceful, delicious food, and very comfortable seating. Germany could use more places like this; then we'd all be more chilled out.

We discovered this adorable café by chance. The atmosphere and friendly staff were very pleasant. The cats were very relaxed and were sleeping. Highly recommended if you like cats. 🐈‍⬛

I went here with my father and we have to say that we really enjoyed it. The coffee and pastries are delicious, and everything has been thought of for the cats. It is nice to see that both guests and cats are well cared for here. 🌸Although reservations are not mandatory, it is of course helpful to ensure you have a spot. 🌸The specialty coffees, such as the coconut latte, are definitely recommended, as are the pastries. 🌸What I personally really liked is that there are many high spots for the cats, and that the tables are equipped with rope so the cats have plenty of scratching opportunities.

The food was tasty, but nothing special. It was nice, though, that the rolls were shaped like cat heads. My niece and I thought it was a shame that the waitress only came by once. As soon as we had something to eat and drink, she didn't come by again at all. Not to the other customers either. We wanted to order another drink, but then we just went somewhere else.

We went here yesterday with my daughters. Since we don't have any cats of our own right now, we thought it would be really fun for the children to go here. What a wonderful concept it is! Just cuddling and having a drink. Nova is a real sweetheart! My daughters were completely smitten with her. She kept sitting in a little box and getting lots of lovely petting. The staff is also very friendly, and the coffee is delicious and the lemon meringue pie is tasty.

We visited cat cafe Skatjes for the first time yesterday. They have a super fun, colorful interior and 5 sweet cats. 😻 We did miss some toys to play with the cats, like fishing rods. 🎣 There was a lot of choice on the menu; the muffin and apple pie were really delicious! 🍰 They also have a nice little gift shop upon entry. Unfortunately, they were very short on stock at the moment, or is this always the case? We did manage to get a small bowl, but we had expected a bit more. So, a tip: make sure to fill it nice and well. It was a super fun experience and we will definitely be back! 🥰

I came a while ago to have a drink with my girlfriend. There were two other people sitting there, but we were told at the door that there was no more room. Which I found a bit strange, since it was completely empty.

Good place for a quick lunch, a bit lacking in oxygen. Wouldn't stay here for hours, but definitely a nice spot for cat lovers. Don't expect the cats to give you attention all the time. See a lot of mean things about the staff, but so far they have always been very nice. 4/5 stars.

The café was cute. All the decor was cat themed. You could also buy some cute cat themed items and toys for your cats in the store. The food was just okay. It was a nice experience for a one time thing.

I’m not usually a big fan of these cafes as they don’t really seem to work, the concept of it is nicer in theory than in reality. Majority of the cats seem stressed (tails down or when people tried to touch them they lowered their backs) or disinterested in interaction. The food seemed mediocre and dry at best and especially for the price and they have very little in the way of variety here. Latte I got had more milk in it that matcha. The cats can be fun if there are less people and for some it could be a good experience, I just wouldn’t recommend it if you think you’re going to constantly be interacting with cats instead of just watching them sleep, walk or avoid you. Temper your expectations (not that I had any of my own) and just stay for a coffee or something small. Or perhaps not considering all of what I said before.

It's super fun and cozy here. Despite the many cats, they're clean. The apple pie with whipped cream and the brownie with cappuccino were delicious!

I've recently been here the staff is very friendly. the drinks are very good. i do recommend getting the red velvet cake it was amazing. If I ever go to zwolle again I will visit here again 10/10 experience. 😸

We stumbled upon Skatjes for lunch. You first receive instructions (don't feed the cats) and then you're allowed in. It has a cozy, homey feel, the cats are very well cared for, and the staff really cares for them. The lunch was excellent, and after donating via the QR code on the menu, we even bought some cat toys for our own cat. I highly recommend this place in Zwolle!

Skatjes is a super cozy cat café! 🐈 There are five cats who happily greet you with a cup of tea ☕️ or something else, the menu is super fun. And the plates the treats are served on are truly fantastic! Definitely recommended 🐈‍⬛

Cozy café with lovely cats, and a nice little shop! Great for lunch or coffee and cake. Beautifully decorated with cat wallpaper and plenty of fun places for the cats to lie down and play. Unfortunately, this time there was a mother with a baby and a noisy child in a wheelchair, so the cats (rightly) retreated to their hiding place. (2/9-'25) Fortunately, the cats did return after they left.

The three of us were able to sit there without an appointment. The coffee and pastries were delicious, and the staff was friendly. The cats were incredibly sweet. It's a really fun concept and worth a visit if you're in the area, even if only for the cozy atmosphere and the coffee.

We weren't greeted kindly upon arrival. The employee couldn't smile. We walked to our table, but there was only one cat in the cafe, and it was sleeping. You're not allowed to pet sleeping cats here. So I wouldn't call this a "cat cafe." I've been to several cat cafes with plenty of cats and less strict rules. We got up and left. We won't be going back.

I had a wonderful time at this cat café! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the cats — all rescues — were clearly well cared for and comfortable. It was such a joy to spend time with them. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the well-being of the animals. One thing I really appreciated was the calm and respectful environment created for both visitors and cats. You can tell a lot of thought and love went into creating this space. That said, I was a bit disappointed to see that there were hardly any vegan food options on the menu. Given that the café is built around the idea of caring for rescued animals, I believe it would be a natural and compassionate step to also consider the impact of the food being served — and to offer more cruelty-free, plant-based options. Supporting rescued animals shouldn't stop at just cats; it’s important to think about how our choices affect all animals. Still, I truly enjoyed my visit and hope to come back — and hopefully next time there will be a few more vegan treats to choose from! 🫶🏻🐇

The Wisselgebak is the best pastry I've eaten in Zwolle. Especially the Redvelvet and the lemon meringue are really heavenly ❤️!! I could eat a piece of that every day, wow. The atmosphere inside is also very warm, like you're visiting your grandma 😄 The activities of the cats are very variable, so don't expect to have a cat around you every time.

I love coming here. Of course also for the cats, but the food here is also really good. Especially the carpaccio sandwich is really recommended. They also have delicious coffee here, and the matcha here is also really fantastic. The staff is also always super nice. 100% my favorite lunch spot in Zwolle ❤️

Had a great tea in the cat cafe. Pussies were very relaxed and were lying wonderfully. Lots of baskets and sleeping places higher up so that they can also retreat. A nice experience.

We were there without an appointment and unfortunately all the tables were already occupied. We made an appointment with the friendly owner at the counter and were given a comfortable table an hour later. The atmosphere in the café was very pleasant and the presence of the playful cats made it very special. Our 8 year old daughter was delighted with the 5 cats and was able to play with and pet them. The café is very lovingly decorated. It's all about the cat theme and the wallpaper, decoration, food include all these little details. There are even cat-themed games you can play at the table. The drinks were very tasty and beautifully presented. For anyone who likes cats, this beautiful café is a must! We would definitely like to come back ❤️

I say this as a child: I came from Raalte for this cafe, and we were a bit early They told us to come in 15 minutes, we waited and waited and then it was 12 o'clock (opening time) and after 15 minutes we went there and only then did they ask us: have you reserved tables? and we said no, actually not and they said sorry but some are coming in 10 minutes so sorry you can't stay and we said we were only going to look at the cats but that's not allowed and we waited in the cold so a tip don't go without a reservation 😭

Short visit for lunch. No cats around, they were all sleeping soundly. I choose a Katpaccio sandwich. The proportions are a bit off. Too much lettuce, dry bread on top, and a bit too little pesto mayonnaise to make it juicy. Detail: the skewer and bread are also in your theme (as is the toilet). We choose a nice gift for the café. There is a QR code on the card.

We discovered this place thank to a friend of us from Zwolle and totally liked it! The cats are so adorable and waitresses were very kind. This cat coffee serve a lot of nice things and is very well decorated! I would recommend you to go there a soon as you can ❤️
