Kiraku Sushibar in Wijk 22 Zeeheldenkwartier

Small cosy restaurant. Staff was friendly and utmost caring and accommodating. Food was top notch. A5 beef was not really melting on my tongue but that might be my misunderstanding of what A5 should be. The sushi was amazing, next time for sure will take more sushi.

What an amazing place! The sushi is so fresh, especially the eel sushi. They also serve sea urchin sushi. Tried teriyaki chicken as well. Overall it was an amazing experience!

This is one of the best sushi places in The Hague 💯🍣. The sushi was absolutely delicious, rice cooked to perfection, the yakitori and wakame salad perfectly seasoned. The waiting staff was also super lovely and quick. My partner and I ordered (to share) 5 types of maki, tempura🍤 , wakame salad, yakitori, big bottle of sparkling water and a glass of plum wine (which was absolutely insane) for 107€. Highly, highly, highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

Once again we had delicious food and drinks. The salad was again delicious. The fried chicken also good and the half portion was more than enough! The lacquer box was again perfect with the different flavors. I would love to come back again, but only with the youngest!

It's a small, but nice place. The food and service were great! The price is a little on the expensive side, but it's worth it. I would probably come here again.

Went there last night and tried salmon salad ,spicy ebi and sashimi platter, all tasted great and definitely will come back .

Always a pleasure to eat at kiraku, especially at the head of the bar it is nice to sit. There you can see the chef making sushi!

I recently visited the Japanese restaurant and was again impressed by the delicious sushi, especially Dragon Roll and Soft Shell crab sushi are highly recommended! The interior has been refreshed and the hospitality was excellent. A great dining experience! Sushi again soon!!

This become one of my favorite sushi restaurants in the Netherlands. Rice was in a perfect temperature and seasoning. Fish were thick so every bite of rice you can still taste the fish. And waitresses were super friendly and nice. I highly recommend and I will def come back this place just to have sashimi and sake.

Ik heb een erg leuke avond gehad hier. Het eten was heerlijk, de ruimte is sfeervol en de mensen vriendelijk. Dikke aanrader dus

wij komen al ruim 20 jaar met regelmaat hier eten, zo ook gisteravond. En ik ben geschrokken van de matige kwaliteit van sommige gerechten. Het was mij al de keer hiervoor ook opgevallen maar dat was nog te doen, echter gisteravond was ronduit slecht. Maw, voor ons geen Kiraku meer, wat jammer is!!

진짜 너무 맛있게 먹었어요. 앞으로도 헤이그 놀러가면 무조건 여기 들를겁니다 ㅎㅎ 성게초밥 추가로 시켜먹었는데 완전 환상입니다. 애견동반 가능해요!

Sashimi was good Sushi was in line with expectation but nothing to die for the real disappointment came with the sea urchin nigiri, it tasted like it just came out of a can and it cost 9.50 for each nigiri.... very bitter and very fishy (the opposite of how it should be)

If you are looking for fantastic Japanese food, friendly and service minded staff and a vast drink selection ,look no further! I am so happy that I stumbled across Kiraku and I continuously come back for the flavours and the atmosphere. Don't miss out on a memorable dining experience.

Begin maart gegeten bij Kiraku Sushibar en veel besteld met z’n tweetjes. Het was erg druk toen wij binnenkwamen. We werden ergens in het midden geplaatst dicht bij de gangpad van de keuken. Maar konden op een rustiger gedeelte zitten toen er plek vrij kwam. Sashimi was lekker vers, maar de sea urchin nigiri smaakte niet heel vers. Ook viel de sushi rijst een beetje uit elkaar en waren de stukken niet allemaal mooi dezelfde grootte gesneden. De paling van unadon was prima van smaak. Alleen was de paling aan de drogere kant en zat nog beetje graat in. Overall ervaring was niet slecht, maar vond het niet helemaal passen qua prijs kwaliteit. De medewerkers gaven goede service.

I came here a bit too early (before their official opening hour of 17:00). Luckily they were kind to let me in and I could place my take-out order. I saw uni on their menu which quite surprised me, because I have not seen it yet in other sushi restaurants. So had to order their Kiraku Nigiri set and an uni nigiri to try it out. I had to travel 1h+ to get home. And once home the sushi still tasted quite fresh. Normally i cannot handle raw tuna from other sushi restaurants, because it is often not thát fresh. It smells really fishy in a bad way. But the sushi here was really tasty! Will come back someday to eat at the restaurant itself instead of getting a take away :)

I use to go there many years ago, we ordered some sushis today and they were really good (fresh fish etc.) Looking at the reviews I was really surprised to see either very bad or very good reviews, from our point of view it was all positive.

Heerlijk gegeten. Niet goedkoop, maar wel goed

Great quality food and restaurant in classical Japanese style that exists since 30 years here in this place, only changed owner once, 20 years ago — my daughter (10) loves it too and also thought the real Japanese toilet was funny! Friendly people and maybe slightly pricey, but for quality we should pay a bit more.

Zeer goede sushi. Wij hadden afgehaald. Locatie zelf om te eten is niet erg gezellig.

Charming little sushibar on the outer rim of city center. The sushi was fresh and tempura super crispy. Service was impeccable. Would highly recommend, but then again I also want it to remain a secret 😜

Verse sushi, heerlijk malse vis. De beste verse sushi en sashimi die ik tot nu toe heb geproefd. Ik heb de sushi en sashimi besteld. Alles is heel vers en van top kwaliteit.

Kiraku sushibar is one of the best if not the best sushi places in The Hague. They serve authentic dishes and have a good selection of sake. While the restaurant itself doesn't have a lot of space it is very much worth your while to reserve a table. Menu wise the the sashimi and scallops in wasabi cream are must try items. This restaurant is also one of the few that have uni or sea urchin on the menu. You can get this off menu as sashimi. If you are visiting The Hague and have a craving for Japanese food then seriously consider visiting Kiraku. You won't be dissapointed. Do reserve a table in advance to avoid dissapointment.

Unfortunately, after years of serving good quality sushi and being one of my favorite sushi restaurants, yesterday was not a good experience. We ordered some nigiri and a dragon roll. The toro was chewy (probably not cut properly) The rice fell apart, and worst of all the Ama Ebi was not good, it was way too fishy that I had to spit it out in my napkin. The cherry on top is when they wanted to charge us €3,00 for tap water!! To me, when you charge for tap water in a restaurant, where I pay €7,50 per piece of nigiri looks really really bad, especially when we ordered drinks on the side. When we got home we got the most horrible stomach aches. I would not recommend this place anymore. The woman that served us was friendly though!! She was attentive and kind. I could, however, see the embarrassment in her eyes when she had to tell us they started charging for tap water. Poor girl.

Sushi made from high grade fish, some great fresh flavours, good service including explanations on the food and also just a nice variety of food, including some unusual selections. Really recommend the salmon skin roll.
