NOH in Wijk 28 Centrum

I am a traveler from the north to The Hague. This time I came to this restaurant to try it out after a friend recommended it to me. The overall experience was pretty good, but there are some areas that can be improved. The dishes are a bit ordinary and the price-performance ratio is not high. The restaurant environment is clean and comfortable, and the service attitude is generally good, but the food is a bit slow.

Super friendly and nice staff. Good well prepared food with full flavors. The chicken teriyaki was delicious nicely grilled and tasteful teriyaki sauce. The unagi don was also very nice. And we liked the sauce with the crispy chicken was luscious and creamy and with a dash of spiciness just the way we liked it.

The food was really good. The waitress was a bit pushy and made me pick something to drink that I didn't like at all. It would be great if there is not a lot of pressure during the moment of ordering

Thanks to exciting long tennis matches, we asked after closing time if anything was possible. Luckily we were able to order one more round of sushi. We found the alternative (ergen kebab or something) less attractive, so we were very happy with the offer... the sushi was great. We would like to come back to try out the menus which also looked very good. Thanks again for the flexibility and the delicious sushi.

What a small and cute Japanese restaurant. Delicious food, delicious sake and delicious wines. It's been a long time since I enjoyed Japanese food so much! We opted for the Gyu menu for 2 people, which consisted of delicious fresh sashimi, a salmon salad, scallops and beef. Balanced flavors and value for money. I. definitely come back.

I didn’t like what I had. I chose this place because of the reviews and because the other spot in the neighborhood was too busy. But I didn’t like my experience there at all. Almost no people, sushi was not that nice, I got charged for tap water (really???). I definitely won’t come back here.

Nestled in the heart of Den Haag, this Japanese restaurant undoubtedly stands out as the finest in town. While it may lean towards the higher end of the price spectrum, especially in comparison to the ubiquitous All-You-Can-Eat establishments that seem to be popping up everywhere, the quality here justifies every euro spent. During our visit, we opted for the Set A, perfect for two diners, and it left a lasting impression. The Tori No Teriyaki, in particular, was a standout, delighting our palates with its exquisite flavors and expert preparation. Among the many delectable dishes we sampled, the tuna salad was a revelation and an absolute must-try, showcasing the restaurant's culinary prowess. While the cost may be a bit steeper, this Japanese gem is worth every cent, offering an experience that transcends the standard fare of budget buffets. Without a doubt, we're eagerly anticipating our next visit in the not-so-distant future.

Lekker gegeten bij Restaurant NOH vooral de starter Tuna Salad is erg lekker! verfrissend en leuk opgemaakt. De sushi + Sashimi waren leuk gepresenteerd op een sushi bootje wat erg leuk is voor de foto's. de stukjes beef + rijst maakt het af...al met al toch heerlijk gegeten (niet vies vol ofzo) maar wel genoeg. zeker aan te raden als je een keer goed sushi wilt eten (wij hadden een Beef menu gekozen, maar je kunt ook losse gerechten nemen als je nog meer honger hebt)

Good portions and great quality

Mijn vrienden en ik wilden geen all you can eat sushi en kwamen zo bij NOH terecht. Op een zaterdag rond 18.30 gebeld en gelukkig hadden ze nog plek. NOH's interieur zag er simplistisch uit. Niet echt modern en een mengelmoes van allerlei spulletjes. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de serveerster/gastvrouw. Sushi is wellicht wat prijziger, maar echt heel vers en heel lekker. Rijst-vis ratio is goed en vooral de rijst was heel lekker. Mijn vrienden en ik waren aangenaam verrast en komen zeker terug wanneer wij weer een keer in Den Haag zijn.

Kleine, ietwat verborgen Japans restaurant. Over een langere periode enkele keren lekker gegeten. Hun specialiteit is de tonijn avocado salade. Deze is heerlijk.

Nadat onze favoriete sushiplek is gestopt op zoek gegaan naar een plek waar we goede sushi konden afhalen. Niet die goedkope fast-food sushi met rollen vol met saus (als ik vis met saus wil ga ik wel naar de visboer), maar echte sushi. Nou, dat hebben we nu gevonden bij NOH. De mensen waren heel behulpzaam in het rekening houden met onze dieet- en smaakwensen. We werden vriendelijk geholpen en de sushi was heerlijk, vers en van goede kwaliteit. Hier gaan we vaker heen! Blij deze plek te hebben gevonden.

Lovely place with great tasting sushi. They serve tuna belly which I loved! Staff is bit outnumbered and you can tell it's a small business owner restaurant. They forgot our plumwine and they really want you to order everything in one go. Which I can understand from their perspective but as a customer you'd like to take your time. Customer service could use some fine tuning. Also we experienced quite a lot fruit bugs. There seemed no bug traps installed so there is room for improvement as well.

Zaterdag weer eens Japans gegeten. De versheid en de expertise van de traditionele gerechten is uitzonderlijk. De chef had buiten de kaart om een pittige tako waarbij je sake lekker kon doordrinken..

Excellent taste and kind people

Kleine, knusse zaak. Gewoon goed! Meer dan alleen sushi en sashimi. Probeer eens de hoofdgerechten unagi don (paling) of usoyaki (beef). Het dessert, bolletje green tea ijs, was van iets mindere kwaliteit.

Heel vriendelijk personeel, schoon, gerechten worden mooi opgediend. Helaas van ons groepje van 3 was ik de enige die er heel erg ziek van geworden is. Ik at als enige de groenten tempura en bolletje matcha ijs toe. Hoogst waarschijnlijk heeft de groente van te voren te lang warm gestaan. Erg jammer.

Heel erg lekker Japans eten! Het restaurant ziet er misschien niet zo uit maar zeer zeker een aanrader!

I found NOH when looking for a sushi restaurant after our favorite (Nori) closed down. I read in a review that the employees of the Japanese embassy frequently eat at NOH and so I thought NOH would really be worth a try. And it is indeed! It's our new favorite. I am a vegetarian myself (who also doesn't eat fish) and I love that I actually have options to choose from at NOH and everything tastes amazing. A lot of good sushi restaurants in The Hague have disappeared and in return came bad quality All-You-Can-Eat restaurants. I've tried some and I really don't like their greasy, low-on-taste food. Besides that, I find that they have very limited options for vegetarians and some of them put tables much to close to each other. So it's save to say all-you-can-eat sushi is not my thing. But now we have found NOH in the Prinsestraat, I am very happy to eat sushi again. If you plan to go there be sure to make a reservation because they are fully booked rather fast. They also do take-away but if you don't want to wait too long they advise you to call in advance so they can make everything ready for you when you come to pick it up.

Decent food, worst place for vegans or anyone with any kind of allergy, i strongly advise to skip it if there's any ingredient you're not interested in eating because the staff DOES NOT know what they put in their food. Experience for a vegan: I opened with specifically saying "we're vegan which means we don't eat eggs, no dairy (milk) and no meat" The waitress nodded to confirm. After being told by the waitress that the veggie roll only has sweet potato in it, we ordered it. I've asked her 10 times if that's the only thing, and she said it is. Before receiving the food, i even called her again and asked her that question again (much to my gf's annoyance) only to be told that she is totally certain that it's the only ingredient in the sushi except rice. First i received an appetizer: Salmon. The waitress said she "didn't realise i was vegan too" event though i started by saying "WE are vegan" Then we received the roll and guess what? It had mayo in it. By the time we realised it, we've almost finished the dish. We told it to her and she said "Yep, that's mayo, sorry my bad" We asked for the bill and that dish was still in there, like we're expected to pay for it. I've asked another waitress (probably supervisor) and explained the situation to her. First thing she said was: "Oh but you almost finished the dish" I tried to stay calm and explained we didn't know it had mayo while eating it. Then she finally took it off the bill. Terrible experience in regards to communication, and i'm sorry to say it's pretty consistent with restaurants in Netherlands. If i was allergic i would be dead a long time ago.

Interior needs needs a little facelift. I am not a sushi guru but the Makis’s could be smaller and rolled better. Also I am not quite sure about the temperature of the sushi, it felt warmer than I am used to.
