Klaproos Amsterdam in Noordelijke IJ-oevers West

It was cold when we came in at 6am. The red wine was also quite cold but perhaps you drink the Puglia at best cold as a white wine. The appetizers were nice and delicious. We had two types of pizzas: good and tasty (chili), but the marinada with pesto was lukewarm to cold. According to the kitchen, this was due to the topping. So not nice. A new pizza was offered. Unfortunately, espresso was also not available hot. We had a nice time but we are looking forward to better temperatures for De Klaproos.

My son didn't like the gorgonzola and then we got a completely new pizza Best service ever!!!!!👍🏼

With a group of 8 people we ate with a set menu because of the large group. Food preferences were asked in advance, when serving the food everything was put on the table without explaining what the people with a food preference could or could not eat. At first there was nothing that 1 person could eat, only after the staff was informed something special was made for her. Desserts were agreed upon in advance by email. When we were allowed to choose a dessert, 1 dessert suddenly was no longer on the menu. After asking, this was still possible. When paying, the price of the menu, which had been agreed upon in advance per email, was suddenly more expensive. The explanation was 'it has become more expensive'. The waitress had to ask again and eventually I got part of my money back. The interior and the place are nice, but this experience detracts from the nice concept, unfortunately.

A delicious Italian restaurant in an attractive warehouse. Eating by candlelight. They have a compact map. But what is on it is very good. Service is very friendly. No long waiting times for orders.

Really great pizza in noord. Staff were nice and the atmosphere was busy and lovely. The space is huge but really cosy.

We waited more than 1.20 hours for the pizzas. They served all the other tables before us.

Nice restaurant with cosy ambience. The staff were friendly and were very attentive to always make sure we had water on the table. The pizzas and the dough tasted great! I do not recommend their "salad" which although tasted good is composed of 5 asparagus stalks, a couple of green beans and a handful green leaves for 7 euros. Outrageous to be honest.

We came here with 70+ guests for a work conference, we had a nice set up of tables upstairs, service was great, food was AMAZING and brought in time, all whilst the restaurant had more guests downstairs. 10/10 can recommend and thank you team Klaproos for the great experience!

Such a delicious meal here! It has been on my list for some time and is definitely a place to come back to. Such a cozy, friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious! I will 100% go back, especially for the pasta with fennel sausage. The pizza with mortadella was also very tasty! Friendly staff. In terms of price, you can also make it as crazy as you want.

Food and ambiance special. Deviates from a standard Italian restaurant. Service left a lot to be desired. Repeatedly placed an order that was not delivered and when asked, the answer was that it was on its way. Ultimately not received and included in the invoice. In short, Poppy, my evening with you ended in chaos.

Lovely atmosphere and plenty of space in the garden on a summer evening. Service was good, pizza with gorgonzola and the pannacota I would come back for. The only downside we found was that 3 out of 4 pastas contained pork, so there was little choice for a pasta that we initially fancied.

Far too busy for far too little service, had to wait almost an hour and a half for food and drinks were not requested. In addition, we had to shout to hear each other because of the loud music.

Arancini was great. The Gorgonzola pizza with caramelized onions was our favorite but the dough was a bit too tough for my liking. It could definitely use better knives as cutting the pizza was nearly impossible with these blunt ones.

Pizzas are absolutely delicious. A must visit when discovering the North of Amsterdam.

Mediocre experience at this place, a shame because the pizza, on the other hand, was fine. The waitresses would do well to shadow the men for a week or two, because the (lack of) service was sad, even though there was nothing to criticize about the men. No self-reflection at all or any idea what working in the catering industry entails... Sitting behind the cash register might be a better idea.

I had a really delicious meal here! What nice surprises. Very good pizzas but certainly not just a pizzaria, the starters had very good taste and the pastas were also delicious. Nice and chill.

Firstly, we had to wait a very long time for arrival (15 minutes), drinks (30 minutes) and for the pizza (1 hour!). In addition, the staff was very rude, I have not experienced this in a long time. And what we were most indignant about was that the doors were wide open, it was 16 degrees outside and when we indicated that we were cold, the response was that it was 'nice for them' that the doors were open, so they that left open. This was the hostess who came to say that. I'm really in disbelief that you treat your guests like this. I understand that you as a staff also want to work pleasantly, but if you leave your guests cold then you really don't have your priorities straight. All in all a very disappointing experience... a pity about the very tasty good pizzas.

Just a good tent, especially if you feel HME. With accompanying slow service from uninterested but interesting children. Well, it wouldn't be a Northern hotspot without hating something. Recommended

Perfect place to celebrate summer. The Noma pizza is a work of art, with fresh tomato, pepper and eggplant. And you can taste it! The green salad with green asparagus and beans was also of top quality; cooked just right with a still firm bite.

Far hidden in the north, but then you also have something. good food, cozy and good price. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going here with your kids. It is a place aimed at audiences between 20-30 who like a drink and might also want to go out here. The pizza with gorgonzola is really delicious and the pasta with stew. Recommended!

Just fine or something, the food was actually just not very tasty, almost interesting but just nah… not really very tasty??? That they try and all that and that the menu sounds very interesting, but it all just didn't really fit together and wasn't really tasty. Well. Vague review, but I'm also a bit drunk, their cocktails are very tasty

Our experience at this pizza place was a letdown. We were a group of 6. Despite having a reservation, we waited 15 minutes to be spoken to/seated (a couple in front of us gave up) and another half-hour to order. They forgot one of our appetizers, and it took a whopping two hours to get our mains - 3 pizzas and 3 ravioli dishes. The staff were either rude or dismissive, and even dessert ordering was a mess - were told half way through our order that the kitchen might be closed, never got a confirmation, and not everyone placed an order so we got one less plate of dessert. Good food and wine, but the service really dragged down the experience.

I recently dined at Klaproos and had a nice experience. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was attentive, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed salami pizza. Overall, I'd rate it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Truly great place for (good!) food and drinks at reasonable prices. You just need to make sure your group is the loudest, because acoustics are not the best; very loud inside and happy to be outside afterwards. The place is definitely worth a try regardless if you want good food!

Hidden gem in one of Amsterdam's hippest new, part industrial part neglected, neighborhood in Noord (North). Great pizzas! Nowadays better than the competition, as if Peccorino and the Pizza Bakers had a love baby and haven't felt like it since. It's a pop up, but it will stay for a while. Go down that rickety hallway and dive in for dinner or a dance! Update: I don't know what's at the back of the rickety hallway these days, but Klaproos is now around the corner, next to Semai (also a tip!!). Fortunately, little has changed! Upstairs is fun too!

Very good authentic italian pizza, with high quality ingredients.

Overall a solid experience. Although I've had better pizzas, it was still pretty tasty and we got a nice green side salad to accompany it. They serve natural wines to accompany the food too, which I like and also a selection of beers. Friendly service and nice overall ambience.

Klaproos is a nice place, but would be even better if there were a few more staff on the floor. Everything takes just too long, from delivery to the menu to taking the order. The antipasti were good, but not special, but the pizza was substandard. Half burnt and not richly invested. The fact that the DJ created atmosphere made up for something.

3 times i have been here around 21:00 and the kitchen is already closed. The hours are wrong, dont walk over there for nothing like i did.

We had a set menu as we were a larger group. The starters were very tasty, both the vegetarian and the meat/fish dishes. As a main course we had pizzas and ravioli which were tasty. The service was okay, we sometimes had the feeling that we were a bit overlooked, but the service at the table was friendly.

Normally a fantastic place with good food and quick service. Unfortunately, this was not the case on Friday evening... After entering we had to wait 30 minutes for a table even though we had made a reservation (my girlfriend's birthday). After finally getting a table we had to wait another 1 hour for drinks and then only got the starter an hour later. I asked several times where it was, but the lady at the counter clearly didn't feel like it... a shame because this affects the evening and my girlfriend's birthday.

My spoiled friends always want to be seated within half an hour and have drinks on the table before the end of the evening. It's nice that the staff did not respond to these absurd demands, continued to work at their own pace, and did not stoop to understanding. Nice place.

Was here yesterday, what a travesty! The lady doing the upstairs was completely out of control and seemed completely disinterested. After an hour and a half we didn't even have our drinks let alone a starter, unacceptable. After being turned away several times after asking where our food was, we finally received our order. Food was tasty. All in all a very mediocre experience. They especially need to take a closer look at the service, the arrogance is oozing from some of them. Hospitality is hard to find.

We have been coming to De Klaproos regularly for years, but last night was very substandard. I came to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends and had made a reservation well in advance, a table would be ready for us from 8 p.m. When we arrived we had to wait at the door for over half an hour before we could be seated. In the end we walked up ourselves. Ordering took a long time, but it was also busy, so we fully understand this. However, only half of the drinks were brought, so we couldn't toast. It was only complete after 45 minutes, after asking the waiter several times. The only response was "I did pass it on so it should be coming". When I indicated that it was taking a very long time, the girl at the counter looked super annoyed and just walked away. Very unprofessional. Only when we indicated that we would leave if it would take much longer was the complete order delivered. The group menu was also not received properly, so we only received the starter at a quarter to 10. No leniency whatsoever from the service. Disappointing evening.

One of the best Pizzas I had in a long time. We also got the burrata salad and it was amazing. Wine recommendation was great too. The ambiance and the food was so great that I consider this one of my favorite spots. Their pizzas were perfectly balanced, nice and crispy but still airy and light. The toppings were not skimpy and tasted fresh and intense. I loved the truffle funghi pizza. Definitely go there once it’s reopened in October.

Elke woensdag/ donderdagavond liep ik er langs omdat ik daar dichtbij dans (Het Danslab) Ik vroeg mij af waarom het zo enorm druk was. Heerlijk om daar buiten te zitten. Erg gezellig. Great atmosphere! Disco house, very dark and some red. You totally forget about the rest of the world. Lots of people serving you, you never have to wait for a long time. Also great starters (for vegetarian people too) nice pizza's and wine.

Really great and original pizzas! The service was unfortunately quite slow. We had to ask a couple of times for our wine and only came after our pizzas were finished. It was super full though so I understand that it can be hard, but just something to keep in mind! The location is beautiful as well, I will be coming back!

I'm writing this review knowing that De Klaproos will move to a new location in a month and we also really loved that aspect of our evening, HOWEVER... The staff (specially our 'host' Lieve) and the food here were SO good. We could hardly believe how little we had to pay at the end of our magnificent evening. Our overal opinion? Amsterdam still has it, that bourgeois meets squatters-vibe, at just a 12 minute bike ride from central station (both locations, ferry included:) and you should definitely try it! Extra tips: 1. Go for two starters instead of a pizza or pasta! 2. Respect the spicyness of the optional oil.. 😬

De pizza's zijn prima, maar vooral de kleine gerechten zijn heel goed. En wat een uitstekende service, ze denken goed met je mee en geven ondanks de drukte een hele persoonlijke service!

They have amazing pizzas and their wine menu is amazing. Also inside is pretty cool for dates. And for the outside, you can just sit near the canal.
