Mangiancora in Nieuwe Pijp

Pizza is delicious but my i am puzzled on why did i pay 20 euros for a pizza saporita (15,5 according to their flyer) and a cola zero (2,0 m) Update 3 years later We ordered four pizzas to take away and some pieces of small desserts they had,which by the way were not fresh,and we got charged 125 euros. Maybe they make the impasto out of gold these days

Terrible delivery service. They got the address wrong, refused to acknowledge their mistake, and refused to reorder.

Nice, stone backed pizzas. Friendly staff. Its more a place to eat a quick meal or fetch your order than a proper restaurant. Would recommend tho

Authentic, cozy and really tasty food!!

Ordered a pizza at 5:30 PM, which was supposed to arrive at 6:00 PM. After an hour, still nothing. I called four times in total, and was told the delivery driver was on his way. Then, on the last call after 7:00 PM, I was told they wouldn't be able to make it after all—the delivery driver clearly wasn't on his way. Dramatic.

I made an order through Uber Eats. At the moment of the order, the estimated delivery time would be between 25 and 30 minutes. Mangiancora uses its own delivery personnel, so it was not possible to follow the delivery in the Uber Eats app. After 55 minutes of waiting, I called the restaurant and was informed that it was a "busy day", that my "pizza was in the oven", and it would be delivered soon. Thirty-five minutes after that phone call, and two hours after ordering, the restaurant cancelled the order at 9:35 in the evening.

As Italians, we came here to eat good pizza and we found an incredible place, delicious pizza with high-quality ingredients and truly impeccable service. A must-try if you want to eat real Neapolitan pizza!!!

the pizza is great, although the portions could be a bit bigger. Peroni was €6,5 which is insane, but the atmosphere is perfect as well as the service!

The pizza was fine, but for a place like this where you have to get your own drink, charging €6.50 for a Peroni (33cl) is just not right. Especially when you don't even list the prices. I thought I misheard him at first when I had to pay, haha. It's not a craft beer, you know.🧐

Bad service !! Not what i was expecting as quality

This pizzeria gave me the worst impression ever. The owner is dishonest and plays with words to mislead customers. I was promised one thing, but I got something completely different, followed by excuses that didn't match the reality. The prices are already far too high for what they offer, and when you add dishonesty to that, it just feels like a scam. A pizzeria should win customers over with taste and honesty, not with lies. There are plenty of real pizzerias in the area where honesty and respect are still important. I advise everyone not to go here. If you value transparency, avoid this place.

Fantastic pizza, really nice and soft dough. Just like what I had in Italy! The staff were excellent; they were kind enough to adjust some ingredients in the pizza to accommodate my dietary preferences. Much recommended!

My favorite pizza place in Amsterdam so far - super friendly staff, and ridiculously delicious pizza! We'd ordered online for pick up, but they wanted to make it fresh, so they didn't start the pizza until we got there - but we didn't wait for long. And it was definitely worth any wait we did have! Will definitely be frequenting this place.

Great place! Proper stone baked pizza. I got a buffalo mozzarella and my boyfriend got a diavola pizza. Such quick service and the pizzas were ready quickly, so tasty!!

As a Canadian in Europe for the first time I don't have vast experiences with great pizza, but when I took my first bite I actually asked myself have I ever really had pizza before? The pizza was cooked perfectly with excellent ingredients and I had a great conversation with the staff about there process and dough sticking during my own attempts at home. With only 3 nights in Amsterdam I ate here twice!!

Apparently paying 50 euros for a pizza with a drink was definitely not worth it.

We ordered two margarita pizzas and asked for chili oil or chili flakes, the server said she can take our pizza to the kitchen and add chili oil so we said sure and then when we went to pay we were charged extra for the chili oil. When we asked why didn’t you tell us it’s extra before taking our pizza and adding it, the owner/chef said ‘you asked for margarita not spicy margarita.’ This person has always had an unnecessary attitude. We’ve been here many times but this was our last.

Mangiancora is hands down our favorite pizzeria in Amsterdam. The quality of the pizza is outstanding — truly authentic Neapolitan style, baked in a real wood-fired oven, with that perfect balance of crispy and chewy. Today we tried one of their specials and, just like every time, it was full of flavor and made with care. What really sets them apart is not just the food (which is honestly better than most pizzerias in the city), but also the two brothers who run the place are incredibly welcoming — you can feel the passion they put into everything they do. And the prices? Super fair, especially for the quality you’re getting. It’s rare to find such great value these days. If you’re looking for real pizza, made with heart, this is the place to go. We were looking for a pizzeria in the area and we came across the Castaldi brothers by chance. Warm welcome and we immediately felt at home. The brothers Enrico and Andrea are a hoot but above all the pizzas are excellent. Long leavening dough, you can feel all the lightness. Right, quality ingredients. It's nice to see young guys doing their job with passion. Well done, very good 👏👏

Delicious Neapolitan pizzas: fresh ingredients, good oven and expertly made for a reasonable price!

The pizza was delicious, service was fast and the restaurant felt like we went back to Napoli for a moment. The price of the pizza was not that Neopolitan but we ordered a special pizza - their Quattro Fromaggi with their spicy meat on it. We ordered 2 pizzas, 4 cannolis and it was 70 euros… we were a bit shocked. But the pizza turned out delicious, and a fun combination for Valentine’s Day 💘, definitely worth a visit!

By far the best pizza’s in town!

Absolutely the worst experience ordering from here. The spicy salami(diavola pizza) came not properly cooked. I couldn’t even eat one bite and threw the whole thing . The worst part was that the owner immediately escalates and asks me to go to another pizzeria. We are usually not picky with food and the only reason we called to tell him was because the meat was smelly, pungent and tasted almost spoiled/not cooked properly. I didn’t even expect anything but a nicer response/accountability would’ve made me not write this review because i usually eat there a lot. But never again! And be warned if you are buying anything with meat in it. And the owner is not a nice guy, worst experience ever.

Like feeling at home. Very tasty Margherita pizza. The flavor is typical Italian (better than other Italian pizzerias in Italy). Excellent cooking and melting dough. The service was impeccable, welcomed and treated like at home. If you don't want to go to cringe "Italian" pizzerias, this is the right place.

Best pizza I’ve ever had. I wanted to add another review but it wasn’t possible so i’ll edit this one. I came back the same night to order the same pizza again, it really was that good. This will be my go to pizza place. Friendly staff, wood fire oven and great produce.

It took 2 hours to get the pizzas! 2 HOURS! Not worth of the wait. It was raining a when we ordered, but the rain stopped soon. They told there were 2 Eerikas making order at the same time and accidentally the other Eerika got the food before us. Also they blamed the rain that stopped 2 hours earlier. No compensation, just a bit ruined Friday evening with extremely hungry people after workdays and workouts. Would never order from here again even though they were apologetic and pizzas were basic ok Italian pizzas when they finally arrived.

Place to eat excellent pizza in Amsterdam. More of a takeaway pizzeria than a restaurant, in fact the table linen does not exist like the dishes, but given the goodness of the pizza we can do without it. Obviously the price of the pizzas is adequate for the cost of Amsterdam

Exorbitant price for an ordinary pizza. The vegetarian pizza was like 16 euros and the difference between that and a margarita was a few pieces of courgette thrown randomly on top. The tiramisu was even worse. Clearly a place which wants to make money at the expense of customers. Place to avoid.

Good pizza and there is nothing to say here. EXCEPT that the four seasons pizza ordered by my friend did not have artichokes as expected. As if that wasn't enough, we ordered two cannoli at €2.30 each, to end up with two mini cannolini (see photo). And I would like to point out that the online menu never mentioned that they were mini!!!

Best pizza ever! Their pizza makes me want to visit Napoli to try other pizza's from the pizza capital of the world! These guys are like the ambassadors for pizza from Napoli right here in Amsterdam.

After a few days in Amsterdam we needed to go back to eating Italian food and what's better than a nice pizza? Pizzas are really good, but do not order from here for delivery! We have now given them 4 tries , hoping the last time was just a bad day, but each time it has taken from 1,5 hour to 2 hours to get the pizza , while the app states 10-25 min. Who would even order a pizza knowing they need to wait 2 hours?

The food was good. The variety of pizzas is nice. The dough is delicious. I didn’t like to wait for 30 minutes, because I saw some people ordering and came after me, so they took their orders earlier. I also didn’t like the sauce, is was flavorless.

Pizza is really good but waiting time for it is horrible ! Third time already and we had to wait for our pizza around 50 min with some lame excuse behind about people who called first and were waiting for take away etc.. get more reliable staff to make pizza I guess? Too bad as pizza is good but really not sure if I will be returning…

What a luck. We walked in by chance and enjoyed a delicious, tasty 1/2 mtr pizza with the family! Crispy thin base with fresh products. Baked with passion by friendly staff. A piece of Naples in the Pijp and will definitely come back. Recommended for pizza lovers.

Fancy no, delicious YES. What can you say about hand tossed wood oven baked Neapolitan Pizza? Nothing bad, especially when it is prepared by people who really want to make you welcome. We were on a Viking Lines layover after a river cruise, with no local knowledge. Found Mangiancora on maps 15 minute walk from the Apollo Hotel. We came back to the hotel and the Viking Rep put them on their list of recommended places, you should do the same thing. Had black truffle and mushroom (left) everyone loved their pizza. Go to their website and you can get a table hold.

The pizza took one hour and 15 minutes to be delivered instead of the 20 minutes that were promised in the app. Yes we got our order in the end but it was this cold pizza shake.

This pizza is simply delicious and 100% authentic Italian style! I would definitely recommend trying the Super Diavola with spicy salame and gorgonzola cheese. A nice option for a group is the 1/2 m pizza, but it takes sometime to be prepared because it occupies space in the oven. The location is close to the De Pijp metro stop and the atmosphere is chill and informal. Very much recommended!

I’m Italian and I came from Naples,the city of pizza. All I can say is that the 2 Italian chef make a pizza so good that also in Naples is difficult to find like that. The ingredients came from Naples and are all fresh. I truly recommend for all who wants a real Neapolitan pizza

So food was tasty but the service…. Ordered via home delivery and home delivery automatically filled in an address. Stupid of me because I didn't double check, but yes, hurry and order something quickly. Then I get an aggressive and angry delivery person on the phone. Whether it was difficult to fill in a house number and that he no longer delivered it. In the end he came and screamed all over the stairwell. About how we were allowed to enjoy a cold pizza because we had been so stupid. Never again for me, which is a shame because the pizza was quite tasty after a round in the oven.

La pizza é dannatamente buona, la consiglio vivamente, ma ci sono state alcune cose che non mi hanno permesso di dare 5 stelle: il bagno era inagibile, non ci é stato detto appena seduti (come ci saremmo aspettati) ma lo abbiamo scoperto quando volevamo andarci a lavare le mani (pensavamo fosse uno scherzo); le bibite dobbiamo prenderle da sole dal frigo (ok ci può stare); sullo scontrino (come da foto) tutto é segnato come generico “food”, senza specificare quanto abbiamo speso per cosa, non va bene. Per il resto, il locale é molto semplice, le sedie un po’ scomode ma personale attento e gentile e, lo ripeto, pizze con ingredienti squisiti e freschi.

Posto molto accogliente. Si sente subito aria di casa. Il proprietario molto simpatico e socievole. Siamo stati accolti da simpatia e gentilezza. Pizza tradizionale, molto buona. Consigliato per chi volesse mangiare una buona pizza.
