Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, delicious coffee with a rich flavor and served nice and hot. With our cappuccino and latte macchiato, we had carrot cake and cheesecake, both outrageously tasty. This is truly a place where you like to linger and want to come back to.

I count my calories with an app that this restaurant found. The crumble cake fit exactly into my daily total and tasted good. The service was friendly and fast.

Add family breakfast at Koffee. Nice relax place, great choice of food sweet and other. I recommend the breakfast which incluses a software bouledogue egg, cheese, toast, yogourt and fresh fruits. Plenty of drinks to chose from, cold and hot. Good friendly service. Right in the old part of town.

We visit Koffie every time when we are coming to maastricht. till this day we really loved it, but this time we disappointedly saw the new menu without the strongly appreciated fried egg, mushroom toast. really sad

The matcha was okay — I’d give it around 6.5/10. The carrot cake, however, was really good and tasted homemade. I also really loved the ambience of the café. It had a great atmosphere for working, and seeing everyone working on their laptops actually motivated me to get a lot done myself. Unfortunately, my experience with the customer service afterwards was quite disappointing. I accidentally left my adapter plugged in when I left the café. I understand that it was ultimately my responsibility to take care of my belongings, but I was the last customer to leave that day, so I called the café the next morning to ask if they had found it. The response felt quite dismissive, and when I later asked if they could simply send me a photo of the adapter to confirm whether it was mine, they didn’t send one. This was especially frustrating because I live in Rotterdam, so travelling all the way to Maastricht just to check whether my adapter was there was a significant effort. I eventually went back to Maastricht, and unfortunately, it was no longer there. I really enjoyed the café itself, especially the atmosphere and the carrot cake, but I would have expected a little more care and customer service when dealing with a lost item.

Lovely staff, great food that arrives quite fast, and even vegan options for those who ask. Going there again tomorrow 🤩

Wonderful coffee, nice atmosphere

We had been here once before 1.5 years ago and had fond memories of this place. This time, especially considering the price, it was quite disappointing. The cappuccino and the banana bread were tasty, but the waitress slammed our coffees down on the table rather uninterestedly. It was very noisy inside and the music was quite loud. Unfortunately, the toilets were no longer very clean (at the end of the morning).

On the recommendation of koffietje.nl, I took a short walk around the block, and it was well worth it. The refreshing espresso tonic is highly recommended!

The coffee tastes absolutely fantastic! I really like that the back area is more for digital work and the front area for offline conversations.

Family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child aged 8). Visited May 2026. Lovely little café near Fort Sint Pieter. We stopped in after the cave tour for a light refuel — iced latte, orange juice, orange bread, and a proper homemade apple crumble. Nothing fancy, just well-made and exactly what we needed. €16.50 for the four items. Good value for Maastricht. Tip: Perfect post-cave-tour stop. It’s a short walk from the fort. The cakes are the highlight — don’t skip them. -6TAY

It was very busy there, but luckily we were still able to find a spot. To my surprise, they had vegan lunch dishes that were really delicious. The kids had a chocolate bun and were happy too.

It’s always great, no matter if it’s a cake, a coffee or a lemonade. But today I tried their green pea sandwich that was FENOMENAL and I don’t say that lightly. The high quality sourdough bread is charred, the chunky greenpea puree is fresh, sweet and perfectly balanced with the pickled cucumber and salty vegan (you wouldn’t notice) feta cheese. A real taste of spring. Thanks

A great place for breakfast, coffee or something sweet. The service is very pleasant and friendly. I ordered mushrooms with a fried egg and toast. Everything was fresh, delicious and with lots of flavour. The only downside was that the tissue has been put underneath the toast, which made half of it unusable. They also have vast selection of pastries. Plant milk can be change at no extra cost, which is a huge advantage. For sure I'm coming back to try one of them.

The coffee is delicious and the staff is friendly. However, I find it so incredibly crowded and noisy here that, as a sensitive person, I want to leave immediately. I'm writing this for anyone who might benefit from knowing this beforehand. This place isn't an option for me, except on a very quiet weekday afternoon, if I'm lucky. Unfortunately, you can't have a proper conversation here because there are people in front of you, behind you, next to you, a long line down the middle all the way to the door, and then there's all the noise from the machines in the middle of the store and the clearing of dishes.

Probably my favorite coffee in the city, though not my favorite spot to sit, since it’s almost always packed and rarely ideal for studying. Still, as Barney Stinson would say, the coffee IS excellent. Price-wise, it’s about city average for specialty coffee. They offer a few pastries and cakes. As someone from the Basque Country, I’m always surprised by how many places here offer Basque burnt cheesecake. I haven’t tried theirs yet, but I definitely plan to. Staff are mostly young and welcoming, and the overall vibe is genuinely positive.

I went to Koffie on my first day in Maastricht because I needed a place to sit and work. I tried the matcha, it was delicious! And perfect temperature! And the cinnamon roll was incredibly good. I liked it so much that I went back the next day for another matcha, this time planning to relax with my Kindle and read for a while. I really love how the place is set up. There’s a bar where you can sit with your laptop, shared tables, and super comfortable armchairs where you can hang out with friends or even share the space with strangers (which is exactly what happened to me). I also like how the service works, simple and smooth. You order and pay at the counter, and then they bring your coffee and food to your table if it needs to be prepared. Bakery items you can grab right away. It’s a really pleasant space to work, read, or just enjoy a good cup of coffee. I left wanting to try the almond croissant!! it was sold out both times I went back, even after visiting twice more! Definitely need to try it on my next visit.

I ordered bread with cheese and onion. The cutlery, which was touching the bread, wasn't clean; there were still food scraps on it. Ugh, yuck! Not enough cheese; at least, I barely tasted it. Ten euros!!! If you sit at the larger table, other people will add the used dishes to yours. There's not enough cleaning up. The taste is subpar. The hygiene is completely inadequate.

Great coffee and food. But, guys, do something with acoustic. You should have some stuff that consumes sounds because it is extremely loud there. And it is proven by studies that it increases adrenaline and cortisol hormones which is not healthy. It would be much beeter atmosphere there is if you solved the acoustics.

My friends introduced me to this place. We arrived around 10:30, and the restaurant was bustling with activity. Fortunately, we managed to secure a table for ourselves. KOFFIE is a great place to sit down for a drink with friends or to grab a coffee to go. The coffee is strong, yet has a lovely earthy taste that’s best enjoyed with regular or plant-based milk. It’s also excellent as an iced option on a hot summer day. We also tried the carrot cake, which was exceptional — moist and flavourful, with warm cinnamon notes. The citrusy buttercream on top is creamy and rich in flavour, and it pairs well with the chopped walnuts, which add a nice crunch and texture. The staff are extremely friendly, and the atmosphere inside the café is pleasant. They even have dedicated laptop spaces with plugs for studying or work. It may get a bit noisy at times, but most people there don’t seem to mind.

The decor is stylish and minimalist, and the cappuccino was very good. The many plants added to the charm. The only negative point was the restrooms, which were unclean and stuffy. Furthermore, the changing table was at shoulder height, which made the process considerably more difficult.

I recommend this place, the coffee is very good and the barista know their stuff. The slow coffee ( V60 ) was so good, well prepared. The food was so yummy, i devored the granola chocolat bar, and the banana bread was soooooo flufy ! The overalls experience was fine as well, we were able to read some newspaper while taking our breakfast and the place is cosy with free internet and good music.

Great cafe. Also very well attended. Finding space wasn't so easy but the café was very tasty and the avocado toast was also delicious. Unfortunately a bit expensive but 13€ for a loaf of bread is no longer unusual these days!

We have tested a lot and can say with certainty: this is the best espresso in town! And in all variants. The crowd is relatively trendy and cool, but families with small children still find their place here. There is also a student audience who works on laptops, reads newspapers (!) or plays chess - and ensures a good mix. Here every coffee bean is worth its cent. Top recommendation
