Hours said they were open, but they were closed

We took a special detour after reading the nice reviews, but unfortunately it was closed on this sunny afternoon in September (noon). Shame. It is more useful to indicate this on the site or with Google.

This is absolutely the worst place I’ve ever been. If I could give the service a 0 I definitely would. The girls that were working there were super rude, didn’t look at us, were gossiping, laughing and played very loud music for about 10 minutes untill they probably woke up and realized they were not at a party but they were working. I asked for an oatmilk iced coffee which they said they could make, I got an almondmilk ice coffee which is absolutely terrible because I’m allergic to nuts. I went in and told them, they said it wasn’t true but did say they were gonna make me the right drink now 🤔 When they came out with my new drink about 10 minutes later it was a totally different drink that I did not ask for. My boyfriend ordered a normal ice coffee but got a warm cappuccino. After telling them that that was not wat he ordered they just poured the warm cappuccino over in a glass of ice instead of getting a slushed ice coffee that he asked. All while loudly laughing and talking about us. This is such a waste of an amazing spot next to the Maas. All this, they didn’t apologize and made us pay for everything. Do not spend your money here!

Super schön gelegen mit Blick auf die Maas. Man kann das faszinierende Gewusel von Spazierenden+Fahrradfahrenden beobachten. Sehr schöne Auswahl an Kuchen+Gebäck, Smoothies etc. Auch die beiden Frauen, die bedienen, sind sehr nett+zuvorkommend.

Lekkere koffie op terrasje waar je heerlijk over de straat kunt kijken. De taart was fantastisch. Daarvoor zou ik zeker terug gaan. Vriendelijk personeel.

Really nice, small and cozy café. Freshly made lunch. I had the flaguette with goat cheese, it was terrific. Ordered a flat white as well, and it was one of the best I’ve gotten here in Maastricht - they know how to make their coffee :-) Staff is super friendly and nice. I liked that the place is so small, it creates an intimate atmosphere.

They serve very tasty croissants, I really liked it but it took me several days to get the chance to sit there because they close very early (at almost 17:00-17:30) and I actually wanted to have my coffee at sunset, at the end I came in the morning. I really hope they can open more hours because the place is very nice, in a perfect location, and the croissants are super good!

Had a great high tea with friends at Pastel! They decorated it nicely & price/quality was amazing! Thanks a lot!

Tolle Atmosphäre, ein schöner Blick und wirklich sehr leckeres Essen. Perfekt für eine kleine Pause in Maastricht.

Ottimo il caffè espresso e il cappuccino. Simpatico il bicchierino di panna all'amaretto che ti danno assieme ai caffè e cappuccini. Soprattutto per noi italiani e infatti ci siamo tornati piu' volte. Buoni i dolci. Personale gentile e sorridente. Prezzi nella media del luogo

Las maar 6 beoordelingen op TA maar dacht ziet er goed uit… flaguette met geitenkaas heerlijk, de tapenade overheerst niet. Bagel kip ook lekker. Goede koffie gebrand in maastricht. Mini paste de nata erbij. Even puur genieten. Let op! Ga wel op het goede terras zitten.

Intrigued by the name of the place we entered, we expected to find some nice pastel de nata but unfortunately they were served a mini version, to understand those eaten in Portugal were 3 times bigger and cost 1 euro😍, then we opt for something else, menu on the table only in Dutch🙄, ok Google translate, photos or ingredients not received, we ask a few questions, the staff were wonderful, kind, smiling, courteous, really lovable, the food must be said was good even if the portions were very small, so it's more of a snack than a lunch. The location by the river is very nice and definitely makes you want to sit down.

Soooo ein schönes Café man sitzt draußen sehr gut! Die Bedienung ein nette junge Dame, soooo nett und freundlich! -:) Kaffee sehr sehr gut einer der besten ! Und der Kuchen mega lecker! Beim nächsten Maastricht Besuch komme ich wieder !

Wat een top ervaring! Half bezopen van de stevige avond kwam ik binnen, maar de heerlijke broodjes en leuke dames maakten mijn kater een stuk dragelijker. Leuke intieme pittoreske broodjeszaak aan de prachtige Maas. Een echte aanrader voor wie de bourgondische tinten van Maastricht wil proeven!

Absolutely amazing food! We got 5 different sandwiches and everyone loved it! Very nively packaged for take out. The only thing that's a bit disappointing is that eating at the restaurant is more expensive, I'm sure there's a reason but not the best service.

Heel vriendelijke bediening en de bagel die ik had besteld was smaakvol. Voor mijn tafelgenoten kwam de verkeerde bestelling waarvoor excuses en een gratis smoothie.

Super leuke locatie, en erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Goede kaart en speelse smoothies. Een absolute aanrader voor een korte pitstop in hartje Maastricht.

Heel leuke zaak met zeer vriendelijke dames. Mooi interieur maar vooral lekkere broodjes en taart! Die flaguettes zijn overheerlijk. Zeker die met chorizo proberen. Ik had ook zin in de red velvet cake maar dit kwam er niet van.

Amazing rijstaart and smoothies! I recommend the mango and ananas one. The staff is also very nice too.
