The food was nothing special, tasty but just general Indian food which you wouldn't expect for the price. The complementary dish we got after sitting down was pretty nice and not spicy although, one of the dips looks spicy. The waiter was not very suited for his job though, he spoke very soft and silent and it was hard to understand him. I asked for non spicy food as I really can't handle it and they did make it non spicy which was nice. The meat platter on the right side had a lot of different types of meat, some were a bit charred but nothing inedible. We originally wanted to order the Thali, but apparently that was from 3 people or more only. This was never stated and we only heard this when we tried to order it.

Simply the best Indian in Groningen. Delivery is fast.

Food was really bad out of 4 different orders one was edible. Packaging smelled and when they ran out of bags they apparently started using supermarket produce bags to pack our food. The cheese naan is falsely advertised on their website, it looks nothing like the picture they used. And whats up with raita?? How could you mess that up.

What a great place! We often order here with work when we work until the evening. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic, even though the orders are large and the delivery distance is large. Definitely recommended!

Hello everyone, after having had a terrible experience, I thought I would never do it again, but it turned out to be different. After the delicious food was delivered, we also got our money back for what we had paid and a very sincere apology, which is why I feel obliged to write this piece here and certainly acknowledge it as well.

What a deception...both chose Thali at the insistence of the waiter. Because one had a Thali and the other had a curry, no, that was not possible for unclear reasons. I had the chicken variant. It was in front of us within 1 minute. Suspiciously fast. The food was very tasteless and here and there the meat was also very dry. It looked more like an overcooked stew than Indian food. The naan was not naan, but looked like a thick fried pizza base. All in all, it seemed as if the food had simmered for hours, the sauce came from packets and the vegetables (if any) were completely boiled down. And no herbs used. Afterwards I also had a stomach ache and my partner felt nauseous. I don't understand all those good reviews... We will never come here again!

Helaas, het was echt niet lekker. Beide de thali gehad, 1 vega en 1 kip. Smakeloze gerechtjes die bestaan uit rare sauzen (het mag de naam "curry" niet hebben). Beide hadden we 1 gerechtje dat wel redelijk op smaak was, maar die van mij was alsnog veel te zoet. Het had niets met de Indiase keuken te maken. Een kant-en-klare-curry van de supermarkt is veel lekkerder. Het stond ook heel snel op tafel. Het proefde of de ingrediënten als de groenten (smakeloos) en de kikkererwten en de paneer (beide droog en hard) op het laatste moment nog waren mee verwarmd met de sauzen. Verder had ik nog een potje met spinazie uit pot of blik en een potje met smakeloze erwtenprut. De garlic-naan was dik en droog met geur- en smaakloze knoflook. Het was ons een raadsel hoe je Indiaas eten zo slecht kunt klaarmaken. Omdat ik ook nog eens de hele nacht misselijk was en niet kon slapen heb ik de beoordelingen van deze zaak bekeken. Het valt mij op dat de recensies of heel laag, of heel hoog zijn. Er zit eigenlijk niets tussenin. Wordt er -ook- gebruik gemaakt van andere keukens? Is regelmatig het budget op? Misschien moet je geen thali (proeverij) bestellen, maar een curry of biryani?. Ik zal er niet achter komen, want wij gaan hier nooit weer heen. Bediening was wel vriendelijk.

How do they manage to go from one of the tastiest Indian restaurants to the dirtiest, and even though people have been complaining for 2 years now, it remains dirty. Just zero seasoning, the sauce is water and the naan nasty. For God's sake, hire a chef who can cook

We had a dish with naan bread. The naan bread looked like it came from the deep fryer. This was very greasy and smelly. I wanted to ask the chef how he made this. But then the cook suddenly left while there were still many people in the restaurant. I left my details and they would get back to me. They didn't do this...

It used to be really good, but in recent years it has been a straight line downwards. It has become increasingly expensive (logically with inflation) but the quality is much worse. I sometimes ordered the naan bread separately because it was so tasty, but now it is a greasy piece that seems to have come from the deep fryer and doesn't taste like anything. Tried several times because it can always be disappointing, but I won't order from them again.

Great vegan food in big portions

A real disappointment for the second time in a row. Previously I liked to order something from Kohinoor of India. The food was always full of flavor and every now and then you were sent something extra. The last two times it seems like they forgot to add the spices to the curry. The curry tastes very bland. Also they don't seem to add salt. Ultimately I ended up in a situation where I had to season the dish myself at home. Very sad! The rice and naan bread is very good. But unfortunately these are not the main players when you order a curry. I have decided not to order from this business anymore. Too bad, because I was always a fan before.

Nice to share all those small dishes. The taste was fine. Too bad the sauces seemed to be thickened with potato flour or cornstarch. That could be better!

Definitely recommended! Delicious food. We received a tasting with 11 dishes as well as rice and naan bread with a sauce. Everything equally delicious.

Ik heb een vraag. Ik heb jaren vaak besteld, het was heerlijk en op een gegeven moment zon 4 jaar terug werd het eten vies, ronduit smerig. Ik bestelde later nog es, dacht misschien een inval kok en nu weer de goede, maar weer echt smerig. Alles weggegooid. Telefoontje met het restaurant die beloofde beterschap. Maar je raadt het al. Ook vrienden en kennissen niemand die daar nog wilde bestellen. Hoe is het nu? Anno 2025 Want ik hou van Indiaas eten.

Delicious Indian food, friendly service

I have been ordering food here since about 2020. It's been a hit every time and I've never been disappointed. Kohinoor of India is my favorite restaurant by far. I always order the thali with 4 curries. It's fantastic that you can choose the 'main ingredient' yourself because I really love paneer. Occasionally something was not available, but each time I was informed very neatly (or if I did not see the call, something was included for free). Top service and I hope they stay for a long time (if you ever disappear, I will be happy to buy all your own recipes)!

I love this place. Indian food here is so different to and better than what we get in the UK. Very tasty!

We ate the vegetarian Tahli (mix of everything). Mix with meat and fish also possible. Food was tasty. You can already smell the herbs when you walk in. The floor was a bit sticky.

Pathetic taste, only go if have no choice

Picked up chicken tikka masala. Ready quickly, but unfortunately the curry itself had no taste. Left much to be desired. The chicken also had a strange texture, as if it was still a bit raw. Nan was a bit greasy, but otherwise okay. I don't think I will order from here again.

Friendly people. Order ready quickly. Home delivery menu not entirely clear. I thought I was ordering sides but these turned out to be ingredients. This gave a bit of a strange result, but I probably didn't read it properly myself. I didn't think the curries themselves were anything special. The flavor explosion you expect was not there. I think that the various sauces are made in bulk, which is understandable, but a lot of the flavor is lost because there is no caramelization. The Koh I Noor in Amsterdam is better in that regard. The different curries seemed to have been prepared differently, but due to the extremely mild taste, the characteristic differences between the curries are not noticeable. Considering the price I would have had more authentic ones flavors expected.

The spicy curries were nicely spicy, but unfortunately, that was about it. Deep flavors unfortunately were not there, and the dishes tasted as made with half the spices required, and were watery. Okra was slimy.

Best Indian restaurant in Groningen! I tried various dishes on different occasions and they were all very tasteful, but my favorite would be the dal. The staff is also nice and friendly.

Food arrived quickly. I had butterchicken, but it wasn't as creamy as I expected. It was still tasty enough. We were the only ones in the restaurant, it was quite warm inside.

I don't advise against it, on TooGoodToGo they give you old bread to eat. It is hard as a rock, which suggests that they sell bad food! disgusting, I do not recommend! 🤮🤮🤮

The food is absolutely incredible! Definetely one of the most underated restaurants in Groningen, such good food yet there were lots of available tables. Definetely pay it a visit next time your craving good food.

What a disgusting third rate restaurant.. the food tasted like garbage, full of cheap food colors and smelled like spoiled food. We paid 45€ for this. This hotel must be shut down for lack of hygiene and cheating customers. I want a full refund

Ordered food more than 2.5 hours ago via their own website. Called after 2 hours because it wasn't there yet. We were told that food was on its way. After 2.5 hours we still haven't received it. The man on the phone said the food was on its way. When we said that this was already the case half an hour ago, we were given other excuses. Never order via their own website!

Eten is gewoon top. Maar de mensen die daar werken maken het helemaal compleet. Een aanrader!

Dit was echt goddelijk!! Heb de togoodtogo box gehaald, dikke aanrader! Zaten drie soorten hapjes bij: 1 met spinazie, 1 met kip en 1 zoetere met (ik denk) aubergine. Zo lekker! Zelfs de rijst is goed op smaak en het naanbrood, wauw! Kon het erg snel ophalen, ze hadden alles al klaarstaan in zakken. Ik had m’n eigen bakjes mee, maar kon dat de volgende keer doen zij hij. Ziet er ook gezellig uit binnen! Tip: je kan het ook nog prima invriezen en daarna verwarmen in de magnetron, als je het naanbrood dan nat maakt en ca. 10 min in de oven doet is het weer super zacht! Volgende keer mn bakjes meegenomen, was geen probleem. Súper vriendelijk personeel!

Het eten was overheerlijk. Heel divers, smaakvol en super snel klaar. Top service en goed personeel.

De geur van kruiden komen je al tegemoet voor je de deur hebt geopend en het water stroomt je spontaan in de mond. Ik houd niet van kiezen dus toen de proeverij werd aangeboden hadden we geen menukaart meer nodig. 11.....ELF(!!!) verschillende curries met ieder hun eigen karakteristieke smaak. Fantastische rijst.... daan en dip, papadum met dip..... smikkelen en smullen dus! Vriendelijke, bereikbare maar niet opdringerig personeel met hun roots in India. Al met al...... gewoon gaan!!!

I stopped in to try this Indian restaurant on a trip to Groningen based on reviews. From my experience, I found the lamb tiki masala to have very little flavor. It had a good heat level but did not have fantastic flavor. The rice was good: nice flavor and presentation. The garlic naan had almost no hint of garlic. Looks like I will try a different Indian restaurant the next time I am in town.

Alles leek ons lekker, dus werd ons een combinatie met van alles erop en eraan aangeboden. Vegan eten vol verschillende eiwitten, groenten en curries. 😋

Heerlijk authentiek Indiaas eten. Gelukkig bestaan ze al flink wat jaeren en hebben de corona periode overleefd. Wij hebben menu Thali gehad. Een proeverij van 12 of 13 verschillende schaaltjes met zowel vega als vlees kip lam..spicy..not spicy en verrukkelijknaanbrood met kokos! Wat een feest voor de smaakpapillen . (Oja..wij Nederlanders... en betaalbaar!

De gekleurde lampjes aan de wand moeten je niet afleiden van het eten op tafel. Het eten was fantastisch. Lekker pittig en met all you can eat voor 25 euro meer dan voldoende. Engelssprekend en heel aardig personeel. Aanrader.

Het was die avond erg rustig maar met leuk gezelschap Heerlijk gegeten. Goed op smaak, kruidig. Eigenlijk eindelijk eens """zo het hoort""". Een achtergrond muziekje ontbrak, veel geloop maar ach: We hadden toch alleen maar oog voor elkaar. 🤭

Delicious Thali-style all you can eat for 25 euro per person. As authentic as you can get in the Netherlands when it comes to Indian cuisine.

Vroeger wel eens op de locatie zelf gedineerd, maar voornamelijk hiervandaan besteld. De voorgerechten en sides zoals de groenten zijn altijd lekker, maar wat ik bij verre het meeste heb besteld over de jaren zijn de curries. Uitstekend lamsvlees en kip, stevige porties waar je van kan genieten en verzadigd raakt zonder je helemaal suf en uitgedroogd te voelen. Ook de meest pittige curries zijn smaakvol, al kan het zweet je wel op het voorhoofd springen halverwege de maaltijd! Blijft mijn go-to voor als ik geen tijd heb om te koken of lamsvlees wil.

Erg lekker ,verschillende smaken en geuren.De porties zijn ruim voldoende, kortom een echte aanrader.

This is always our go-to for Indian takeout. We usually get the menu deal for 2-3 people and it always comes with so much food (large servings). We just recently tried their new thali plate and it was also very good, but did not have as large of a portion. The best sweet curry we have ever had is the paneer malai from here... must try! Their samosas are also really big and are breaded nicely (not the thin, flaky pastry breading)

Het eten was warm en had de in de verte een idee van Indiase smaak. Het vlees was droog. De saus smaakte zout en vlak. De naam herkende ik in eerste instantie niet als naam. Weggegooid geld.

Het allerlekkerste Indiase eten van Groningen. Super dikke porties, goede verhouding tussen vlees en saus, lage prijzen en aardige medewerkers/bezorgers.

Omdat het restaurant dicht is heb ik hier een thali besteld welke naar mijn huis is gebracht. We konden kiezen uit verschillende curries, en per curry mochten we zelf kiezen wat voor soort vlees, vis of vleesvervanger we wouden. Ze zijn echt niet zuinig met de ingrediënten, en de gerechten zijn heerlijk smaakvol. Elke curry smaakt echt heel anders! Dit is precies wat ik wil. Bij de thali kregen we voldoende rijst, raita, salade en naanbrood. Heel vriendelijk geprijsd voor de hoeveelheid die je krijgt. Ik ben erg enthousiast over dit restaurant en kom zeker nog vaker terug. Dikke aanrader!
