Lovely atmosphere, great food, and very friendly, fun, and knowledgeable waiters! I had a great time and will definitely be back.

I must say that I found it an interesting experience. It was fun to prepare our own food at the table and our host did an excellent job - I can only say so. The food was tasty, but not like their other branch. Just give me the pho from across the street. The barbecue is a nice idea, but don't wear proper clothing. The smell soaks into your clothes, hair and all the things you have brought with you and unfortunately you cannot get rid of it easily.

Been here multiple times and has become our go-to spot in Groningen! Great food, great vibes and great staff. Would recommend!

The food was really tasty! But it is a bit without atmosphere, the staff too, it was not very friendly and we were kicked out at the end time. There was no time left to order dessert, time was up. I thought this was a strange way to say goodbye to your guests. The period from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM is extremely short if you also want to have a quiet chat and look at the map.

Had a great meal at Konbu Jiro. Meat and the various pickled vegetables were super tasty. Staff were friendly. Will definitely come again.

Such a great spot! The chicken wings were amazing and full of flavor. Even though it was busy, the staff was so friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The menu has so many things I’m excited to try, and I’m already looking forward to coming back to explore more!

I and my wife had dinner on a Thursday. We did not have had Korean food before. We really liked the Kim mal yi and the stew. The service was really nice. The only thing that could be improved is the smell of toilet that sometimes we'd smell.

A restaurant that leaves me with an ambivalent impression. The food was good. The rice and vegetable roll tasted fresh and the kimchi soup reminded me a lot of the ones I had in South Korea. Hot, spicy and rich. Unfortunately the staff (in my opinion) were neither particularly attentive nor lacking a certain warmth. Which I “expect” as a guest. It was also quite cool on the lower floor.

Konbu Jiro is a place I visit every once in a while. I'm especially a fan of the chimaek menu. Mandu and Yang Nyeom Chiken are highly recommended! I have to admit that sometimes the food is better than other times. It is also often cold inside and quite atmospheric. Still, given the price and quality ratio, I give it five stars. The food is affordable and you get large portions. In any case, I always enjoy coming here, even with larger groups.

Brought along by my sons for my birthday... nice concept to experience Koran BBQ... nice setting, good atmosphere... only downside: no spices on meat and no sauces... And have difficulty walking!! there are 30 steps you have to climb to get to the top ✅️

The Korean bbq was such a unique experience. The food was great and cooking it ourselves was really fun. It kept us entertained for quite a while haha

Having arrived at opening time, the staff was really friendly and got us started fast. We ordered the Beef Kimbap, classic korean chicken mix and a portion of fries. Everything was really delicious, the kimbap having a strong, savoury flavour while the chicken having a balanced , mild flavour to it. The Yuzu iced tea was a great addition to the meal and overall the price for 2 people was fair, not to mention we got little sides of pickled radish to cleanse our palates. I am looking forward to coming back.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes beer, cocktails and tasty chicken. If you like Korean food or are curious about it, this is the place to go!

If you want to experience a piece of Korean culture but don't have the funds to go holiday, this place is everything you need. I originally came here for the Korean BBQ, but stayed for the chimaek menu. We ordered one of the anju meals, and what an experience it was! You get to experience Korean drinking culture without having to leave the Netherlands. From soju bombs to phenomenal cocktails and drinking rice wine from pans, this place is truly an experience. It's matched with the most amazing chicken I've ever eaten. For anyone with a sweet tooth, honey butter will leave you craving for more, even after you are full. Even the desserts are unique and truly wonderful. Whether you are already a lover of Asian food and drinks, or someone curious to try, this place is amazing. Easily my favourite restaurant. Truly happy to have come across this place. Not to mention the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you are thinking of going here, you won't regret it! It's even affordable.

Me and my boyfriend went here on a date, we were on the first floor. There is also a BBQ floor, which also looked good, but we did not opt ​​for that this time. We were helped enormously by the staff, we were fine helped with our questions and choosing the cocktails. There were several vegetarian options available and the food was delicious. Very good Korean restaurant / barbecue. The formula is really interesting because you can choose different formulas. On the first floor there are Korean dishes and cocktails and on the second floor there is the barbecue (for those who are not familiar with the formula, you can order meat and dishes which you then cook yourself directly on the table's BBQ). Very friendly staff and dogs allowed. The chicken dumplings and the Bulgogi are recommended and, for dessert, it is almost mandatory to take the Parfait (how good it is). Very interesting stop if you pass through Groningen.

I ordered the army stew, it smelled and tasted like fish which wasn't mentioned on the menu. When I asked the waitress if it contained fish, she said that fish oil is used in the cooking process of most dishes. I didn't expect it to taste like fish and I checked the ingredients online and there was no mention about the use of fish oil for this dish. I think it's a very strong flavour and should be mentioned on the menu. I wouldn't recommend going there if you are not a fan of this flavour and don't want a bad surprise..

Delicious drinks, huge choice of starters and then of course BBQ yourself! Desserts fantastic too! Friendly service, we were asked at the beginning about allergies and adjustments could be made for this and we also received a warning if there was something in a starter that we had indicated that 1 of us was allergic to! Very attentive and observant! We were 4 people and shared 5 small starters and then chose a mix for 3 people, which was more than enough! We then had desserts, where there is also a choice from ice cream to filling desserts such as cheesecake and hotteok. We will definitely come back when we are in Groningen again!

At 16 o’clock Sunday they were open Pho with chicken is soft and yummy soup. Sapporo with pho goes well. Wine from pruim was the best part.

Good korean BBQ! 2 plates of beef and 1 plate of pork were good for 2 people, they were both well marinated and the stove worked well, keeping a suitable temperature. Lettuce was free of charge. We also got the tteokbokki, which tasted nice but was pricey; would've preferred to get another plate of meat at that price. In terms of the service, it is not always easy to clean the grill, and the leftover burnt part can stick to the next batch; it would be helpful to offer to change the grill once or twice at each table.

This Korean BBQ spot in Groningen offers excellent meat and shrimp, along with delicious starters. The staff is friendly, helpful, and proficient in both Dutch and English.

I didn't like the food, but that is of course very personal. The service was inadequate and attentive. For example, our main course was already placed on the corner of our table while we were still eating the starter. Not recommended, as far as I'm concerned.

We were rather disappointed. The food is of average quality and quite expensive. There is a strong smell of frying fat in the dining room and you have to wash all your clothes after your visit. We waited three quarters of an hour for dessert while the grill pans on the empty tables around us were being cleaned by the service staff using cleaning products and wearing rubber gloves. Tables very narrow, lack of wardrobe. Service but very friendly.

It's a great place for an amazing K-BBQ!I've been here a few times before and I will definitely return :) We were with 4 people and ordered 2 menu sets, and we had some starters as well. Their meats are well marinated and incredibly tasty! Their portions are huge, so we didn't manage to finish everything, but the servers were very nice and gave us some boxes to take the rest of the food home. Would recommend this place if you're looking for a restaurant where you can really spend time with each other and catch up :) However: the smell of the BBQ will stick to your clothes, so be wary of that!

Best korean fried chicken in the town, have had a similarly excelent one in London and thought nothing would beat it but this came close. Side dishes seemed okay aswell, not anything extraordinary but still great. The cocktails are also amazing, better than many other places. Would recocmend.

The food is good but that's about it. I've been here 3 times with my girlfriend. Twice the service was seriously inadequate. Or rather, no service. Once the service was just sufficient. Some examples of why the service here is so ridiculously bad from the 3 different times we were there - According to the waitress, the type of chicken we wanted to order was not available. So then you ordered something else and you still didn't get what you ordered. - another time a dish was saltless. My friend asked for salt to such a waiter who pretends to serve there. After more than 10 minutes she had to ask someone else. And then you get a bowl full of salt without a spoon or something like that. - main courses were reserved before the starters were served. - another time we were asked if we wanted all the dishes at once. Yes please. Then I only received my dishes and 15 minutes later my girlfriend. And an apology or whatever. - a waitress just takes away plates without asking. And doesn't check or ask if everything is to your liking. And she was gone before I could order another drink. The food is fine, but the service makes me never come back. It might be an idea to first have the staff trained by someone with sufficient catering experience.

Honestly certain foods taste nothing like korean dishes, definitely need some improvement on 떡볶이 (try not to overcook rice cakes and ramen if added, rather not use canned sausages because it tastes horrible and please please get rid of that burnt cheese on top cause over 4 and a half years living in kr i have NEVER seen such thing and it destroys the flavor soooo bad 👀) Korean bbq was good, wish we didnt need to pay so much for extra radish or lettuce tho 😅 and their fried chicken (양념) is pretty good as well. Honey butter one needs more honey flavor added 👍🏻

Good place for affordable comfort food. I've had mixed success with the chicken they offer. I'd advise taking the spicy chickens. The kimchi jjigae was not bad, but didn't feel all that authentic. Plus it's too bad they don't offer sundubujjigae.

This was our first introduction to Korean BBQ and it was really great! The meat was wonderfully marinated and the side dishes were delicious. The service was very good, staff was friendly and explained everything well. To finish, the matcha cheesecake, highly recommended! If we are ever in Groningen again, we will definitely come back!

Good food as always. Dinner time was only an hour and thirty minutes, quite short. I won't be coming back for Wings Wednesday any more - too short to eat out with friends. If you're going with friends, don't go on Wednesdays. Atmosphere also good as always.

One of the best authentic Korean restaurant in town with one of the best services. The first floor is dedicated for a non barbecue menu. Barbecue menu is served on the second floor. Better to make reservation first because most of the time they are full at dinner hour. And if you crave for something like the menu made of crystal noodles, better ask first because sometimes they run out of it. If you love spicy food, tteokpokki would be my best recommendation. If you're vegetarian, there are some menus that suits you.

The waitress might be a racist. I spent 40 euro by myself and exchanged for a very bad attitude of service and the quality of food. The blonde waitress is not helpful at all, cuz it's not possible to ask for more drinks if I don't shout loud to call her or step to the counter to order by myself. And After I’ve done eating, the waitresses didn't ask a thing about my feedback (I heard clearly she asked the table next to me how's everything so I don't know if there's a discrimination or sth, cuz I'm asian and ate alone ) and I have to reach the counter myself again to pay. It seems that she didn't pay attention to the few tables and customers in the restaurant, unless you call her from time to time. Besides the food is overall medium level, fries and mandu is good but the kimchi soup is a huge disappointment, it's too spicy and savory.

We booked a table in advance for 2 person. Upon arrival, this really short guy gave us a tiny table at the end by the window where you must sit side by side with your guest because the other side is the window already. We went back to the staff and said we cannot sit there it's too cramp. Meanwhile there are many empty tables for two on the same floor. They refused to give us the other options and just gave an attitude of "take it or leave it" and said the other tables are reserved for later customers. So what is the point of booking in advance? Also that really short guy told me off when I was merely asking questions and said I was "out of tone" but he wasn't the manager. I said Okay so we will leave, he said Great! 👿 We left to another restaurant across the street, much better service! If the owner is reading this, please hire better staff. I'm Asian and this kind of hostile hospitality isn't suitable for an Asian restaurant. That guy's attitude is disgusting.

Located centrally, this place is hard to miss out. I ordered dimsums and spicy miso pork ramen here. Quantity: good proportion size. Enough for 2 ppl. Ambience: large space and enough to hold an official party. Food was served pretty quickly Food: I felt the dimsums were not freshly prepared, rather the ones from the packet. Ramen was a bit undercooked. Food was decent, nothing special like a restaurant.

Really cute spot for korean bbq right in city centre. Two flights of stairs up is the bbq table area. 30+ euro per person makes for a more expensive night but a fun activity to do for a date or with friends. We got the beef lovers combo. All the meats were delicious and the sides too! They were out of the spicy rib-eye, otherwise so good!

Food is great except for the drinks. I had a good time once and the second time really disappointed me. They specified where i had to sit, i went and sat there. They told us to get up and get a other place to sit because that one was reserved. While they told us to sit there. And this happened triple times. They put us in a different place. Like i was really annoyed? They need to know better. Sorry not sorry but this made me quite mad. Let us sit where we want to sit when you tell us to sit anywhere.

Ask for a Bibimbap, which was supposed to have Shiitake mushrooms, but instead had sauteed paris mushrooms (the regular white ones). What a disappointment...

A fantastic place for meat lovers and an interactive experience! The staff was kind enough to explain the menu and how to work with the grill. We had the Beef Lovers Korean BBQ set, which came with lots of delicious side dishes. The soju cocktails were lovely as well. The set itself is €32 pp, which is on the expensive side but given how much (good) food we got it was well worth it. The interior design creates a nice social atmosphere. My only complaint is that it was not clear that there are two separate restaurants that offer completely different menus. If you want Korean BBQ you should go here, the other restaurant of the same name across the street doesn't have it.

Kann die Begeisterung der anderen Bewertungen nicht teilen. Wir sind regelmäßig in Korea und kennen die koreanische Küche sehr gut. Das koreanische Chicken ist bestenfalls mittelmäßig, alles andere richtiggehend schlecht und so weit weg von den ursprünglichen Gerichten, dass man es gleich als was anderes verkaufen kann. Das Kimchi Stew (김치찌개) war unterirdisch, geschmacklos und dafür viel zu sehr mit Chiliflocken auf Schärfe gewürzt um das zu übertönen. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und rücksichtsvoll, die Atmosphäre und Aussicht schön. Trotzdem würde ich nicht wiederkommen und es nicht empfehlen.

Overall it was a nice experience. Quality of food was ok (between 3-4). We ordered Kalbi (Grileld Meat) and I found the meat too fatty. But I must admit that I am quite allergic to fat in general so it could be me. Sidedishes were very small. Staff was friendly and international but I am not sure if I have seen any Korean staff. The BBQ restaurant had a nice and active atmosphere and reminded me somewhat of South Korea where we have lived for 4 years.

Wij hadden de BBQ. Het eten is heerlijk. Veel vlees, goed gekruid. Weinig groenten, eerst krulsla later slablaadjes wat minder was. Rijst en of frietjes zijn bijlagen wat ik bij andere restaurants nooit heb meegemaakt. Personeel spreekt Engels en snel wat moeilijk te verstaan is omdat het lawaaierig is. Een kelner sprak Nederlands en legde het prima uit. Meerdere stellen hadden problemen met de taal. Je komt hier niet om gezellig met elkaar te dineren. Mede doordat de ruimte zeer lawaaierig is. Al met al toch een beetje een tegenvaller ondanks dat de bediening haar uiterste best doet.

Snelle service en bezorging van wings aan tafel, ondanks drukte op wings wednesday. Gereserveerd op de website waar duidelijk 2 uur in totaal stond. Na anderhalfuur werden we echter verzocht om z.s.m. de tafel vrij te maken omdat de volgende gasten al klaarstonden. We hadden net een biertje besteld, deze konden we niet meer even rustig opdrinken.
