One of the waiters insulted a guest by saying "shut up." Very unfriendly.

It was very crowded and very loud that evening. Great food, excellent service.

We went there for dinner yesterday, just like on our first visit to Groningen. They didn't take into account the stairs you have to climb (walking with a walker). The service was immediately helpful and friendly. At a table for two (which could actually have been a bit bigger), we had a delicious meal. We had a mixed grill and a rib-eye steak. Both dishes were very well prepared. At the end, I asked if I could be helped up the stairs, which they did. All in all, a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back when we spend another weekend in Groningen.

What a fantastic restaurant Steakhouse Bronco in Groningen is, especially for the discerning meat eater. Last night I enjoyed the DARE TO SHARE menu, perfect for when you can't decide. A big 10 for the enthusiastic staff too!! It wasn't noisy until a few students dropped in for dinner with a cup of coffee.

We made a reservation for two on Monday for Saturday. Upon arrival, we were placed in the back near the restrooms. We asked if another table was available, but there wasn't one. So we only ordered drinks. Meanwhile, the power went out, so we had to wait a very long time for the bill.

Good food at reasonable prices, coupled with attentive service, I'd be happy to come back. The only thing was that the lighting was far too dim for all of us.

I asked for a medium steak, and while the corners of it were medium, the more I got into the corner the more raw it was, until it was completely raw, probably just barely reaching blue. So I asked if they could warm it up a bit more and once it was brought back, the servant seemed very unpleased that I returned the food. So not exactly the most pleasing experience. The steak was also poorly trimmed and was very fatty. The inside of the restaurant just felt like a pub, not very acquainting for the prices. And while I took a seat (there was no check-in area, thus I selected my table by myself) I was told that the entire indoors was booked and was send outside. While this isn’t that big of a problem by itself, it does add up to the poor customer service. Probably wouldn’t recommend, considering the price to happiness ratio.

We were warmly greeted by a waiter who kindly let us sit at the table of our choice, as the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived. Later, we were served by another waitress — she was fine, nothing remarkable. The food, however, was amazing! My friend had the carpaccio to start — super delicious — and we both ordered the rib-eye with blue cheese for our main. It was to die for! The beef was incredibly tender, the sauce packed with flavor, and the dishes came with fries and salad that were equally tasty.

Finally, spare ribs that look like they've even touched a grill. No sous vide sloppy spare ribs. Fantastic food, good service, perhaps a bit short-staffed, but excellent service nonetheless.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite up to par, but the staff resolved this promptly. Kudos to them for handling this!

We wanted to order the carpaccio as a starter, but unfortunately, it was sold out. We opted for the shared plate, which is more of a drinks platter than a starter. The two chicken pieces were dry, and I personally wouldn't choose a plate of nachos as a starter. For the main course, I chose the tenderloin and my companions had the steak. The meat was delicious! Perfectly prepared and tender, definitely recommended. I would definitely come back for the meat.

Excellent food at a reasonable market price. It's located in the heart of the city in a busy location. It can get a bit too crowded during peak times, which detracts from the overall experience. But that's just a personal preference. Like all restaurants and cafes, they also face staff shortages, so it can take a while to get served. But I go there regularly.

The ribs are SO GOOD and the price is so fair, the service is a bit slow but nothing too bad! 1000% recommended

Three of us ate there. Burgers were sold out. Waitress was very rude and incompetent. Food was okay, steak a bit tough, and the price was too high for the meal... We were charged more for a Coke. After waiting 20 minutes to pay (plates weren't cleared after the meal), we complained about the bill. After another 15 minutes, no waitress could be found...we left with €3.20 less...outrageous. Once and never again.

Three of the four main courses were delivered dark/burnt. The steak was blackened on the outside and tasted burnt, but the inside was medium. The tenderloin tasted burnt and was visibly blackened on the outside. We ordered it medium but it arrived well done. The spareribs were slightly burnt on the outside but were very flavorful and tender. The steak was returned to the kitchen, and we received a new one within 15 minutes.

We stumbled upon Steakhouse Bronco by chance, and even though it was busy, we were seated right away. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the start. Inside, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting—perfect for a relaxed meal. We ordered the ribeye and the New York steak, both cooked to perfection and served with rich, creamy mushroom sauce and a flavorful green peppercorn sauce. Every bite was delicious. Overall, a great experience—we’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a reservation for three hours. My ears were ringing when we finished; it's better to eat outside; the acoustics are terrible. We had to wait almost two hours for our main course, which didn't include potatoes or fries. When we did get it, we had to ask why it wasn't accompanied by a salad. They only brought one bowl of salad for 18 people. I wouldn't order the spare ribs; more bone than meat, and it was very dry. Chicken satay was the best thing they served. And the staff barely bothered to check or smell if we needed any drinks. I won't be back.

I think they forgot us, and we even had a reservation. We ordered drinks outside on the terrace. Then they said, "It's 6:00 PM, you have to come in now." We were then crammed into a corner where we had to sit close together. After about 1:15, they finally brought us three menu options. Then we had to wait another hour before we could eat. Cold steak, tough, and no side dishes—they'd forgotten those. After asking, we had to wait another 10 minutes before they brought one small bowl of salad and three portions of fries for 15 people. No repeat for me.

Five of us went to the Bronco Steakhouse today. The service was very friendly and the ambiance was very nice. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. The burger was OK, but the steaks (we ordered two rib-eye steaks and two entrecotes) were tough, stringy, and lacked flavor. Poor value for €35-40 each and a steakhouse. The garlic sauce is better at any kebab shop. Two people received the wrong meat. Another received the wrong sauce. Instead of the grilled vegetables they ordered, they received a salad. We found the way our review was handled to be disinterested and unprofessional ("OK, sorry...").

Had a lovely meal here with my wife, delicious burger and spare ribs, carpatio and nice drinks and nice staff, even though they spoke English, that was no problem, just very friendly and I was also allowed to take the bones home for the dogs, a very pleasant evening

Old-fashioned and dusty place. The meat was poorly cooked and I did not get a salad with the meat, even though it was stated on the menu. I had the lemon-blueberry pie for dessert. It was still frozen and therefore not fresh. The ice cream that came with the pie was too cold, causing ice crystals to form in the ice cream. The staff does not pay much attention to complaints. Absolutely NOT recommended!

We came for a drink and some food, unfortunately it was late and the server told us that the kitchen was closed so we asked if we could drink the drinks here but grab a small snack from de hoek because we were really hungry. This super kind server said that that was okay, so we were settling in for a good night with lots of drinks. Unfortunately when I had about 2 bites left of my snack, I was told very agressively by someone else who worked there that I couldn't eat at this terrace because it wasn't their food. Which is understandable but come on, we're outside and you can't even provide us food instead. He went on to tell me that I was lying and to ask me which server had said that we could, and I'm not about to throw a minimum wage worker under the bus so I refused and asked for the bill. I'd recommend for this restaurant to treat its guests like guests and remember the rules of hospitality. This could've been a simple misunderstanding and handled politely, in which case, we'd have probably stayed for quite a few rounds more.

Cheese fondue was fine. Little so that a lot of cheese remained. Meat was not good. Steak was called shoe sole. Surf and turf uninspired

Very bad customer service. We asked a simple question if there was a table available for 3 persons. They were not accomodating to give a table, though there were plenty of tables available. It is definitely a shame and shambles for this kind of place as i have experienced much better. This is a wake up call not to come back anymore. Definitely due to the bald ‘manager’ who was not customer oriented.

All the way from Rotterdam we ate here. And what a great place. We were pleasantly surprised. Really recommended! This is a Groningen gem. If we lived closer, we would go more often. Staff is also really great. You made my friend's birthday completely

It looked promising on Google, but we found it really disappointing. The mixed grill was particularly disappointing. Cold steak (was cut) was returned and I think it was returned from the microwave. The sparerib was reasonably warm and "fine" but not that I would go back for it. Baked potato was tasty. All in all, unfortunately not recommended.

Had a delicious meal with my niece last week! What do I recommend? The Spicy Nachos are really “Too Die For” and the Steak combined with their tasty cheese fondue made me even happier than I was already with my starter!

I've been coming here since 2008 and I've also experienced the price increases from 14 Euros for unlimited spareribs to now 27.50 Euros. What I do is... I always take spareribs home with me. You get 6 half flaps, so roughly 2 1/2 long normal flaps. When you go to eat there, you usually get a whole one the first time, then a half or a bit more each time. If you've actually had enough after 2 times, you actually leave one whole flap behind, which you would otherwise get if you were to pick it up. That's just purely for comparison, if you're someone who wants to get the most out of it, without eating unnecessarily much at once. Eventually, the spareribs don't taste as good anymore if you keep eating. I personally think the quality is the best in Groningen, but of course it could also taste very good to someone else. It certainly won't make that much difference. But I think the portions will. There is one Asian man working in the kitchen who I have seen working there for 12 years. The guy is a tough cookie and always delivers good quality (I can always watch them do it from the side when I wait). Yes, 27.50 is quite expensive. But you can also divide it smartly. What I often do is, I then go to the döner shop on the corner nearby. I pick up 1 döner, together with the spare ribs + fries + salad. At home I eat the fries with the döner, salad and 2 slices of spare ribs. And for the next day I still have 3-4 slices left that I can divide over 2x eating with something else. You can add all kinds of things. I heat the spare ribs in the oven for fifteen minutes. 5 scrambled eggs with it, for example. Nice and protein-rich. And if you look at it that way, I was able to eat 3x from 1x spare ribs for 27.50. It's better to be nice and you'll enjoy it more often. What I ask and what they now know is: 1x Spareribs large (spicy << this is the glaze that makes them taste much better I think. Plain there is a greater chance that they will become dry) Fries Cups of Lettuce Jalapenos And you always get a cup of mayo, bbg sauce and garlic sauce. Enough sauce for everything. I prefer to treat myself to this about once a month. In fact.. I'm going there right now. I've earned it now ^^

Had a great Rib-eye with the most delicious roquefort sauce ever! The Nutella cheesecake is also dangerously delicious!

We first sat outside, and it was busy because everything was fully booked. We wanted to go inside, but unfortunately had to wait an hour. It was a shame about the wait, but in the end we had a really delicious meal. It was definitely worth the wait. All in all a nice experience, despite the long wait!

Lots of variety in the food, with delicious meat and chicken. The cocktails are also recommended! Moreover, the restaurant is located right in the heart of Groningen. Definitely worth a try! :)

Yesterday we had dinner here with a friend and opted for unlimited spareribs, unfortunately this was not a success. Sparibs were extremely dry and I suffered from a sore stomach later in the evening.

We were assigned a table near the open kitchen, you don't want to sit there. Hot and smoke. Other table was no problem, a bit tight, but okay. Drinks came quickly, food too. Steaks were tough, shrimp difficult to peel. Probably not fresh products (frozen?). Chefs do their best, but quality comes before quantity. A little more attention to the food would be nice. The house wine was fine. Staff friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately we had the worst steak and cheesecake we have ever tried. All of us who ordered steaks could not chew it and had to spit in our napkins. Cheesecake was far from tasting cheesecake, it was either baked for too long or old. And it was not cheap. Friends who ordered spare ribs were happy with the texture but said it lacked flavour abd was nothing special. Staff was super friendly.

We regularly come here for an extensive meal or takeaway. Generous portions, a cold beer, it doesn't have to be much more difficult! You've also come to the right place for pick-up, that works just fine. Tasty salad, wedges, sauce, great to take away. Would be a nice addition for home delivery!!!

Our evening started quite hopefully. The service received us kindly and informed us well about the menu. But this pleasant start turned out to be just the calm before the storm. It soon became clear that in terms of acoustics the building was more like a football stadium than a restaurant. The constant chatter and clatter of cutlery drowned out any conversation, leaving us shouting at each other rather than talking. The starter had some potential – if you're a fan of dry bread, that is. While the bread basket was overflowing with slices, the amount of spread was far lacking. In the end we ended up with dry sandwiches that had even less polish than the service itself. However, the main course provided the final blow. The “Picanha” was a tasteless, tough piece of meat that had undoubtedly spent more time in the freezer than on the grill. The “Surf and Turf” seemed to have merged into its own personal brand, and the so-called “Diamond Tips” may have had more in common with burnt barbecue coals than anything edible. You don't come here for the art of cooking, but rather for a crash course "How do I waste meat?" The wait staff also appeared to have a rather unhealthy obsession with our drinks. Even though there was still plenty in our glasses, the question whether we wanted “anything else to drink” came up annoyingly often. After three times it becomes not only annoying, but also embarrassing. What made the whole thing even worse was the fact that half way through the meal our plates were snatched away while we were still eating! Apparently they thought we were coming to do a crash course in speed dining instead of enjoying a meal. And to top it off: while we were still chewing, the inevitable question came whether we wanted to see the dessert menu yet. Serious? Within 45 minutes we were outside again – frustrated, still slightly hungry and feeling like we had been pushed through a fast food chain. We could just say a “Thank you for visiting!” dodge. This restaurant seems to be aiming for a record of 'fastest table turnover per evening' rather than providing guests with a pleasant experience. Conclusion: an evening full of burnt dishes, acoustic terror and service with the charisma of a doormat. An absolute must for anyone expecting a relaxed and tasteful evening. Anyone who ventures in here has been warned: your evening will end faster than you can say “enjoy your meal”.

Bronco has all the steps to ruin a fun day with friends in one evening. The beer pace was well set by our friend Ruben, once we arrived at Bronco we were assigned an absent-minded professor a la Ben van de Burg to pamper us. Lukewarm pints of lager, WEDGES and a bad accent were our least worries. Dro had to read the entire menu before anything was in stock. In the Achterhoek we always say; The best advice is to have stock, but they don't care about that at Bronco! Eating unlimited spare ribs, what a treat!!!! Yes, there is a party in the toilet and at P's it was also the sink that had to suffer. Before you think about eating here, make sure you have 4-ply toilet paper at home!

NEVER AGAIN ! We sat right at the entrance in front of the door and were ignored for over 20 minutes, then we spoke to a waiter who just said someone would come straight away. After another 10 minutes we left the restaurant and went to the restaurant opposite where we were warmly welcomed and, above all, noticed!

Spare ribs were dry, no sauce at all, very strange... they say they are known for their great spare ribs, but spare ribs should fall off the bone, this was certainly not the case. Rest was good. Waitress was very sweet, but I think new because she kept forgetting things.. Dutch people were working inside and on the terrace she spoke English, perhaps not so convenient to put 1 person there.

This was one of the worst ribs I've ever had in my life, could barely eat a couple pieces before asking for the check. It was clearly old meat and barely edible, the fatty ends even tasted funny. Never going here again, 0/10. Cant believe I paid full price of 32 euro for this trash. Not even a discount.

Update 16-07-2024 Still very noisy even though the music isn't loud. Acoustic is simply not great. The local beer is back in stock and this tripel indeed tastes very good. Starter the garlic prawns and main course the spareribs. The garlic is not lied, I think I will still smell of garlic for the next 3.5 weeks. Strong but delicious, so no dissatisfaction, just great! Regular spare ribs are just good, a little dry and a varnish wouldn't be out of place, just not the sweet variety. Tasty, but it seems to draw the moisture out of the meat, the sweet is significantly less than the rest in terms of frying. Well found the kibbeling herbs, it seems, surprising. Same for the spicy ones, these are finished with a spicy sauce, not too spicy, but really seriously spicy, delicious! But fire extinguishers (at least for me) are a must Atmosphere and service definitely improved after my previous visit. New waitress who seems very cheerful. Nice! Other waitresses and waiters are also friendly and attentive to the dogs, who are welcome and kindly provided with a bowl of water. All in all, certainly worth one more star than my previous visit about three quarters of a year ago. In short, more than worth a visit! --------- A very noisy place, now I was alone, but having a really nice conversation wouldn't be easy, the waiters don't always understand you. Restaurant in a Christmas atmosphere, I personally find the decoration a bit flashy, but someone else might really like it. Miss, they are promoting the local beer Eggens, lover of trippels so ordered unfortunately it turns out to be gone. It can happen, but it's a shame if you try to promote it like this. The garlic butter bread starter was very tasty. Finger burned on the plate, a warning from the waiter that the top plate came out of the oven and was very hot is actually a must! Sadly missed.. Ouch! Main course the Picanha steak with garlic blue cheese sauce. An extremely correct grill taste and a wonderful taste experience, some parts not completely medium but rawer than one might expect but very worthwhile. The fries are just good, partly because of the herbs. If I am in the area and despite the burnt finger, I will most likely come back again.

Absolutely amazing burger and food, it's not often that I enjoy meat over the carbs. Asked for few extra stuff and all was done regarding the wishes. We very much enjoyed it and will come back. Price was very reasonable for the taste and food quality. Kind servers too :). Thank you!

Update; Less than six months later you only get 1 strip of spare ribs for the same money. Inflation… Delicious meat. As students we went there often. That's why I had a 'not fancy' feeling about it, but that is really unjustified. Great service, good portions and excellent quality food! I will come again more often!

Very tasty food, the T-bone was incredibly tasty! Fries good. The only thing I thought was a shame is that two of the staff members didn't know what a Drambuie or Grand Marnier is... Then Cointreau. I will definitely come back again.

Had the ribs, they were ok, extremely over priced for what they were, which was dry and too salty. Service was was friendly and fast enough.

Delicious food here! The inside looks nice and attractive and the service is very fast and friendly. We had garlic cheese bread as a starter, which was very tasty. If you like meat you've come to the right place, we had the rib eye steak and spare ribs as a main course (optional too!). We also had dessert (dame blanche and milkshake). Worth repeating. We ate the pulled beef nachos here again, truly one of the best ever. And the pulled beef bun, also super tasty! And again the spare ribs, these were well seasoned.

One of the mixed grill options was raw, in our opinion too few staff, both food and drinks took a very long time to arrive. Steakhouse Bronco in Groningen on the Grote Markt started off a bit rough with a slow start and a delayed menu, but once it was there, everything was perfect! The extensive selection of delicious dishes offered something for everyone. The service was fast and all details were accurate. The meat was prepared exactly as requested and the sauce added a perfect finishing touch to the experience. The service was attentive during the meal and the waiting time was minimal. With a beautiful location and a charming restaurant, a return is definitely in order!
