Nice little shop and the food was good. Friendly staff. The tables inside are quite close together. My personal complaint is that the plates and cutlery are already on the table. The food is served on a board, and you have to eat it from the plate that's already there. But as I said before, the food is simply good.

Overall, a very pleasant experience. Visited Eindhoven on second day of Christmas, and it was one of the few open spots. Very cozy. We were greeted, and taken care of by the very kind staff, and the food and drinks were just right. Can’t go wrong.

What a mess. After sitting down at a table, we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Then it took another 20 minutes for them to bring our drinks. The meals we ordered didn't arrive at the same time, but 15 minutes apart. The bread was dry and tasteless, and the coffee tasted like nothing. There were more than five people behind the counter, but working even remotely—no way. This is the first and last time for me.

We ordered coffees and Mozerella-Pesto Tosti, it was unexpextedly good. Even tough they brought the wrong coffees, its a nice place for breakfast. When it is crowded, i think the food quality drops a bit based on my experience of going there few times.

I thought the food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly. I didn't have to wait long for the salad.

What a poorly organized place! Lots of staff, but little to no coordination. Empty tables are set first, while customers are sitting at empty tables… Had to wait over half an hour for two croquettes that were simply served, cut in half, on a platter. No lettuce, no sauce, nothing! Dry…

I went to your place and really enjoyed it, but I thought the boss's behavior towards his staff was unacceptable. I felt really sorry for the girl; she looked quite young. I almost wanted to say something! The staff were fantastic, but the boss was ridiculous! I won't be coming here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the sunshine. Comfortable chairs.

The place isn't particularly large, but it's cozy and very clean. The service is friendly, and you immediately feel welcome. We had a ciabatta with carpaccio and a ham and cheese toastie. Very good quality and wonderfully seasoned. The ciabatta was crisp and the toast was perfectly toasted. The coffee is very mild, but delicious. We'll be back!

We had lunch here; we were served fairly quickly, and the food was served fairly quickly as well. It's a cozy little restaurant, with small tables, but it was just right. A bit pricey, but definitely worth the money!

What terrible and unprofessional behavior from the staff, especially one young man. Several people asked where their orders were, even though it wasn't busy. There were five staff members, and apparently, this young man was partly responsible for making drinks. Judging by his whole attitude and comments, he clearly didn't care about all the people waiting and complaining. The staff is also very young, and apparently, they don't consider that when someone is on a break, someone else should take over. There are four people busy cleaning up because everyone wants to go home, and they just keep people waiting. Then they stop taking orders altogether. Waiting 25 minutes for a glass of wine or half an hour for just a cappuccino is ridiculous when it's not busy.

Just mediocre, had to take my own card, owner who walks between the tables like a headless chicken, food had little taste and small portions.

Terrible service! We got our food first, and then drinks 15 minutes later. Nine tables around us remained uncleared for an hour, and inside, eight young waitstaff were sitting at a table, chatting, and doing nothing on their phones.

This afternoon I wanted to have something to drink and eat with my children. It took quite a while for the service to arrive. I placed my order, but only when the first part of the order arrived—which also took a very long time, and in my opinion, shouldn't have taken so long considering the amount of food I ordered—was I told they were out of apple pie. That was exactly what my youngest had ordered. So, a disappointed child. I clearly stated that I found this very strange and that they should have mentioned it earlier. Then my iced coffee didn't arrive either. When it did arrive, they said it was on the house as an inconvenience. The iced coffee didn't taste good, and the waffles were a bit dry. I paid quickly, and then I also expressed my dissatisfaction. The young staff quietly laughed about it. They were all sitting happily around a table in a corner, while there was plenty to do in the kitchen. When I got home, I checked the receipt and it turned out the apple pie was still on the receipt. Very dissatisfied. Not recommended!

Nice place, personnel was very friendly. Food was fine, not special, just decent. We had grilled sandwiches (tosti). A little pricy for a 2 sided sandwich. Maybe you also pay the price for the location and smile of the personnel.

We sat down just after lunch, and the terrace was still fairly full. However, we weren't served until 15 minutes later, and then had to wait another 45 minutes for our food. People who arrived later were served first and had already paid while we hadn't paid yet. The service was chaotic. The food, on the other hand, was excellent, 10 points. Unfortunately, we witnessed the staff being aggressive towards innocent pigeons who also wanted to fill their bellies. Too bad!

Due to the crowds, many items on the menu were no longer available. I first ordered two carrot cakes, but they were all gone. Then I ordered two croissants, but unfortunately, only one was left. So, I finally ordered one croissant and a sausage roll, which I waited over fifteen minutes for. Meanwhile, I received the wrong drink, an iced coffee with regular milk instead of oatmeal. It happens, but unfortunately, a hospitable apology was not forthcoming. After a long wait, a clearly visible burnt croissant arrived. After pointing this out, I took it back inside. A little later, the croissant (clearly the same one, but with the burnt parts removed) returned. Very poor service, not welcoming to the guest. Finally, when paying, the sausage roll and croissant were removed from the bill, and an apology was offered. Very nice, but too late. At the time, there was no "sorry" or "I'll make something else."

This afternoon I had lunch at Krok Madam. I'm a vegetarian and ordered a ciabatta with egg salad (vegetarian). I received the sandwich, and only when it was three-quarters gone did I realize there were small pieces of bacon on it, which I hadn't noticed because of the overpowering egg salad. I mentioned it to the staff, but they didn't do anything about it. We'll never be back.

Last Saturday, I had to pay over €30 for a coke, an orange juice, and two small slices of bread (1 per person) with a meager amount of chicken and salad on top. The toast portions were ridiculously small—not a nice thick slice of rustic bread, but a small slice of brown bread, all for €10.55 each. I had to wait a long time for drinks and food, and when I mentioned the very small portions while paying, the owner simply said that's what it said on the menu and that I shouldn't come back, since he had enough satisfied customers. Fine, he certainly won't be seeing me there again.

Food is okay, wanted to order three dishes to share but this wouldn't even fit on the tiny tables. 8 employees running around (all with the best intention) but it just doesn't work. The till didn't have any cash, needed to pay by card. Not sure if this is my place 😅

Very unfriendly atmosphere. Not customer friendly. Manager/owner directs customers as if they were staff to the seats. Quality of food is substandard, little "love or attention" noticeable. Definitely not recommended! We won't come again.

What a disorganized, slow place. Girls behind the counter with no sense of urgency, hygiene or customers, but only concerned with each other and their cell phones. First her cell phone, then the cake from the display case with her bare hands. Coffee took 15 minutes because the cell phone was more important. 1 girl was eating a sandwich while she was making a gluten-free dish... help... I won't go back... this is not what you want if you want to eat or drink something nice somewhere.

Waiter doesn’t understand the order. Second one the same. They keep asking do you want one more coffee. Even though I repeated what I wanted they still gave wrong food. When paying also they register wrong. Food nothing special and waiters just disaster.

We felt like having a sandwich, so we settled down at Krok Madam. We sat inside and had a view of the kitchen. Quite a bit of chaos. They clearly had it out of control even though the place was far from full. We had to wait a long time for both our drinks and our sandwiches. There was 1 girl preparing all the food. Her colleague was eating between the boxes of eggs, among the customers. An older man (owner?) started cutting chicken without gloves. I didn't see him wash his hands either. When he came to serve the coffee, I sat with his nose in his sweaty armpit. By then I was actually done with it. The checkout process was also very strange, a bit too friendly and the voucher was immediately crumpled up while all guests were asked if they wanted the voucher. I just read that they have been reprimanded by the NVWA because hygiene is not in order. Doesn't surprise me at all. Toilet was also not fresh and fruity. The only positive was that the sandwiches tasted good. But hey, what sandwich doesn't taste good? Too bad, but we won't be going back for a while.

Well, I don't know where to start... I recently had breakfast here and I didn't know how quickly I would have to leave again. Upon entering, I was already pointed to the door with the eyes of the employees. They were very curt and not helpful at all, it felt like I came in during a big argument or something. The food was fine, but the experience was head and shoulders above it all, don't go there!

Nice to see at first glance, once you sit down you can see some things that need cleaning/tidying up. Toast with goat cheese, spinach and walnuts was just fine. Cheese/ham sandwich too. Service minimal, no contact when entering, girls more concerned with each other than with the guests. A shame is a missed opportunity.

A bit dirty, they charge €7.30 for 2 cups of coffee, which is outrageous!! half a cup that is not even warm, and a block of cake measuring 2x2cm, I feel quite cheated, you can buy half a kilo of coffee for that, nice exploitation, the Netherlands is going to be overhauled after all!! I would say start by pre-warming the cups...

When (toasted) sandwiches are your specials, what would you expect ? Me, some quality sourdough bread and an appetizing presentation with the ingredients. I’m sorry to say, but its a downer to serve regular cheap fluffy bread that has no taste, and which have shrunk with all ingredients melted in between to a small flat patty on the plate. It doesn’t fill at all, and went somewhere else for something extra.. A regular coffee for nearly 4 euros also found overpriced. Place looks really cozy, but should do a better job in satisfying customers.

Although there were not many tables, the service was very very slow. After waiting for a long time, they brought our foods but they added mayonnaise-like sauce all over the dish, even though that sauce is not included in the menu for the food that I chose. Because of health reasons, it is not allowed me to consume those kind of sauces for a while. It is just a nice place to drink a coffee. The rest was a terrible experience.

Krok madam and ham/cheese bouncer. Enjoy a cup of coffee with a mega block of crematorium cake measuring 2 x 2 cm. Ham/cheese sandwich, no onion, no celery and 4 tomato half moons. Two leaves of lamb's lettuce without dressing. All three yolks of the eggs were broken and fried completely dry. In other words, it was three times nothing. Once but never again.

This is just not a good restaurant. The omelette with dry bread without butter did not taste good, the croissants were crumbly and baked for too long. And all served in a way as if I had quickly made a sandwich at the counter at home. Yes, hello, that's not why I come here. It is not without reason that the adjacent Happiness Café is almost always full - and this restaurant is not. My advice: only go here if you are really hungry and the neighbors don't have room. Or else? Maybe just make that sandwich at home. 🤔

We were attracted into this café for breakfast because of a sign advertising a good breakfast deal. We sat outside on a Sunday morning and enjoyed a good quality, yoghurt and fruit bowl with croissants, jam and coffee. It represented good value and made a good start to the day.

The decoration is very beautiful, I worked in the hospitality and restaurant sector from 2015 to 2020, I have never worked with such lazy people, they served clients who arrived after us before us. It took 1 hour to make a "toast" which was not much because the bread was not toasted and had four chopped things. I will never understand that this place is well regarded, says someone who worked in 4-star hotels in Spain as a kitchen assistant, in an Airbnb as a receptionist. Anywhere in the world they are faster and more polite, it's not about the culture, it's about the motivation to work and satisfy the customer.

The hot coffee was served in a drinking glass not a cup so I couldn't even touch it. The 5€ Nutella croissant was smaller than my closed hand and was served plain with a teaspoon of packaged Nutella. I couldn't bring myself to eat it. So I paid for it and found a much better place to eat a few doors down. I would not recommend.

Mooie zaak met geweldige muurdecoratie. Alles staat heel dicht op elkaar, amper plaats om te lopen. Bediening was zeer ongeïnteresseerd, kon met pijn en moeite een goedemorgen vanaf. Moesten zelf aangeven dat we iets wilde drinken. Drankjes waren prima maar er zat geen passie of enige dienstverlening bij de dames in de bediening. Ze liepen keer op keer achter ons langs en stootte tegen een kinderstoel aan. Ipv wegzetten bleven ze er tegenaan lopen. Het was er bloedheet en sfeerloos helaas. Erg jammer. Heeft veel meer potentie!

I was surprised with how unwelcoming the staff was the other day, since I have never come across such thing in the Netherlands before. We felt like intruders, as the waitress would look at us as if we were bothering her with our presence, even though we were polite and unproblematic all the time. Quite unprofessional to treat customers with rolling one's eyes, and, visibly to the guests, to stare at the phone. It would be useful to at least pretend to enjoy working at the restaurant, for the sake of the atmosphere and satisfaction of the guests. Food was okay but in comparison to other places, too pricey for the average quality.

Drankjes en eten ok, er was weinig sfeer, bediening niet echt hartelijk. Voor zo’n kleine zaak zouden wij juist denken dat hier een leuke bedrijvigheid hangt. T was mss hun dagje niet… leuk gedecoreerde muur die de kids geweldig vonden, maar dat mocht dus gerust wat meer doorgetrokken worden doorheen de zaak.

Gezellig drankje gedaan met vrienden. Verse sap was een vrij klein glas. Voor de decaf bij de cappuccino moest ik 0,50 extra betalen 🙈. Prijzen die ik via Google Maps te zien kreeg zijn niet meer IP to date. Gezellig en mooi ingericht.

Het eten is niks bijzonders. Personeel is wel oké maar de Sjef van de zaak is niet te harden! Chagarijnige man duwde mij liever in een hoekje buiten het zicht en wilt liever alleen witte mensen in zijn zaak. Overigens ook slordig gekleed! Zou de plek ook niet geheel aanraden als je perse een tosti wilt eten. Je kunt beter naar de zaken ernaast gaan.

Voor taart moet je hier niet zijn. Appeltaart besteld, er stond niet op de kaart dat dit ‘warme appeltaart’ zou zijn. Dit was niet de bedoeling. Daarbij kwam nog dat ze half warm en half koud was en heel vochtig/nat. Zeker diepvries produkt dus. Spijtig.

If you want a quick and something simple, reasonably priced Krok Madam is the place, located in the city centre, it has tables outside where you can sit and watch the hustle and bustle. If it gets too hot, there are patio umbrellas you can shelter under.
