The Happiness Cafe in Centrum

Waited half an hour to order and another hour for our sandwiches to arrive. Food was ok but not worth the money and service. All the while no one asked if we wanted drinks. It was crowded, so people cut the line for a spot and the staff did nothing.

I choose this place when I want to have breakfast out; I've been here many times. I love the atmosphere, it's warm and friendly. It gets more crowded on weekends, so the wait is quite long, but it's quieter during the week. The Avo & Egg menu is more than one person can eat; you'll be completely full.

The food is awesome!! Freshly prepared and well sized! However, the service is slow…maybe because each dish is prepared in order, it takes a bit of time…but do not miss this place if you are in Eindhoven!!

Truly a top concept with a focus on healthy and sustainable food for people & nature. I had the açaí bowl and although it was delicious, it was very runny. I am used to a nice thick consistency with açaí, but this one was just as watery as low-fat yogurt. However, that was the only downside :) The food proves that nutritious eating can also be really tasty and fun, and the service is very friendly.

We waited about 30min to get pancakes and a flatbread. Accompanied by 2 oranges juice, we payed around 40€ which I find absolutely mad for a brunch. Food was ok but definitely not something I will come back for. I wouldn’t recommend.

We had a very tasty meal. The menu is diverse with responsible choices. You can sit inside or outside. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I had a lovely breakfast at Happiness Café. I’m usually more of a fan of traditional breakfasts, but this time I decided to try the wasabi salmon flatbread, and it was a great choice. It was fresh, flavorful, very filling, and the portion was surprisingly generous. We also had the banana bread, which was delicious and beautifully presented with fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, and passion fruit. Everything looked as good as it tasted. One thing I especially appreciated was being served tea in a large mug instead of a tiny cup. As a tea lover, I really enjoyed being able to relax and actually enjoy my tea. I also loved the open kitchen. It was nice to watch the team preparing the food, which added to the whole experience and created a nice atmosphere. Another big plus is that the café is dog-friendly. We were able to bring our dog inside, and the staff immediately brought over a beautiful bowl of fresh water, which was such a thoughtful touch. Healthy, delicious food, generous portions and genuine attention to both guests and their dogs. I’d happily come back! 🐾

It's grossly gross. I ordered a croissant with fruit and what did I get? A croissant that was completely flattened, and for fruit I got three blueberries and some nuts, grossly gross. I also ordered Macha latte but that was gross too. Macha was really very gross. I don't know how to put it, but no, that really wasn't a nice experience. And the cookies look like they were made 2 months ago. Price too expensive. Bread completely dry. And the food arrived in about an hour. The workers suddenly started dancing; they grabbed the food with their hands and squeezed it all over. I haven't gotten sick yet, but if you want to have a bad day, I'd say come here.

A great experience at this café for brunch. The selection is varied, so there's bound to be something you like! The pancakes come with delicious fresh fruit, are about 12 cm in diameter (3 per plate), and the salted caramel brownie is to die for. The price is quite reasonable considering the quantity and quality. The decor is very cozy yet colorful. The only downside was that there wasn't an English menu when I visited, but the waitresses are very patient and will translate the menu for you if needed.

The Happiness Café is a very pleasant and welcoming space, with a good variety of options for breakfast and brunch. We went there in the morning and the experience was quite positive. The breakfast was very good, the products seemed fresh, and the coffee was tasty. It's a good option to start the day calmly in the center of Eindhoven. I especially recommend a visit in the morning.

We received a friendly welcome and the weather was lovely, so we wanted to sit outside. There was a line, but it moved so quickly that we didn't have to wait long for our table. It is a very nice spot in Eindhoven where you can enjoy delicious food and drinks! Highly recommended if you want to have a delicious breakfast or lunch in the heart of Eindhoven!! ❤️

A cafe I definitely want to visit again if I go to Eindhoven. I visited around 8 am on a Monday morning, and it was uncrowded then, but it started getting crowded from 9 am onwards. It was even crowded enough to have a line. I had the Eggs 'n' More and the Salmon Avocado Flatbread, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh and delicious. The Eggs 'n' More features scrambled eggs and hummus topped with a slightly spicy powder, which is the highlight. Many locals were ordering this as well. The Flatbread looks like a sandwich, but the salmon was incredibly fresh, and the mashed avocado and sauce inside blended together perfectly. The plating is beautiful, and the atmosphere is lovely.

Last week, I had lunch at your place with my daughter. It was lovely sitting outside on the terrace. The food was delicious. Everything was vegan for my daughter. We would love to come back again. I do find it a bit pricey, but oh well. It is certainly worth it.

Today, we had lunch with our family at The Happiness Café in Eindhoven, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. When ordering our drinks, we were asked if we had already been informed of a waiting time of approximately 40 minutes for the food. That had not happened. Since we were already seated with our children and didn't feel like looking for another restaurant, we decided to stay anyway. After about 40 minutes, the food finally arrived at the table, but the disappointment only grew. The children's pancakes were full of burnt, pitch-black pieces. I removed them as best I could, while my own food got cold in the meantime. We had also ordered two chicken flatbreads. For €17 each, you would expect a decent lunch. The amount of chicken was minimal, and the lettuce was clearly not fresh. Some leaves were limp, discolored, and had red edges. Some even looked spoiled. We removed the bad lettuce because we were very hungry by then and didn't want to start an argument. To make matters worse, I later discovered a hair in the chicken. Because I only noticed this when I was almost finished eating, I did not mention it at the time. When paying the bill, I pointed it out after all. Instead of an apology or understanding, I received a lukewarm response: “Oh, too bad.” I found that quite unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. In the end, we spent well over €70 for a lunch with long wait times, burnt pancakes, stale lettuce, hardly any toppings, and even a hair in the food. For that price, you should expect significantly better quality and service. This was absolutely the last time for us. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant. The price-quality ratio is far below par, and the way complaints are handled only makes the experience worse.

Great freshly prepared healthy and tasty food. Worth a stop. But it’s not a quick stop as everything is prepared from scratch and takes a fair amount of time!

Just a delight! Tasty, flavourful food, variety of options and friendly, helpful staff. So many vegan options to choose from - there are more vegan baked options than non-vegan ones which is rarely the case. With their hot drinks they give a small piece of banana cake and it is so good! I ordered the red velvet latte wit soy milk - yes please! I also had the falafel flatbread and the caprese sandwich, I would recommend both! They also have these crispy, salty broad beans they use as edible decoration on the plate and you can even buy them in a bag (which I did and there are no regrets). What a treat - they will see me again!

The place is amazing , atmosphere and location are tops! It’s great that there are gluten free options for normal menu items (10 points for this )… however the service is a bit slow (but friendly ), the coffee was amazing however the GF waffles well check the picture because it tells a story.

Beautiful decor with friendly staff, but steep prices. The croissant advertised on the menu was cold, and my apple muffin was scalding hot. The hot tea in the water glass was impossible to touch. Overall, everything was very tasty, and the atmosphere was certainly okay.

I spontaneously had breakfast at the Happiness Café in Eindhoven today… what can I say, it was a real treat! 👌 Super delicious avocado hummus on bread and an acai bowl with homemade banana bread… it was simply divine! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are incredibly friendly. You really do leave happy!

At 11 o'clock, I asked if I could study there with my laptop, and that was fine. In an hour and a half, I ordered two drinks and something to eat. At 1 pm, I was asked to close my laptop or leave, because they have a no-laptop policy from 11 am to 3 pm… Pretty lame.

Nice gluten-free options and lovely service

Today morning, I stopped by to pick a medium cappuccino, a croissant and a brownie - all takeaway. I checked with the lady who took my order if the coffee would be ready in 5 mins as its to go and she mentioned that indeed the food items are ready immediately and the coffee will be ready in 5 mins. I would not recommend this as a to-go place as the coffee took more than 10 mins and finally I had to forego my coffee as I was getting late. She did not offer an apology neither a refund. Disappointed!

Very mediocre cafe.. everything about it is mediocre but the service is terrible! With rude, careless, and unprofessional crew. I asked for a croissant to be warmed up and they said they couldn’t and were very disrespectful in the way of their communication. I cannot imagine a cafe not being able to warm up a croissant!

Whilst walking around Eindhoven, we wanted to pop in for a coffee, but not just a generic coffee/cappuccino. So we tried this place. I'd say it checks out. A rather small and busy place, it had quite the queue during lunchtime after we left. The service was quite good given how tight the interior is and how busy it was. The warm drinks were nice (the praline & matcha lattes) and presented in an pleasant way. Didn't have any of the food but a lot of the plates looked exciting.

We’ve been there on Sunday at 4pm for the last hour they were open and it was moderately busy, still possible to get a table. The café is so adorable! Really good vibes all around. We had a matcha latte, 2x cappuccino & a chai latte + the goat cheese flatbread and everything was delicious. Would recommend the flatbread highly!! We love this sweet Café, the vibe is really special & the staff so nice. Yellow cups are the cherry on top 🌞

I had the most delicious matcha chai with beautiful latte art and a sweet, proud look from Dennis! The almond croissant was also delicious. I wanted to ask for a fork because it was difficult to eat (with a hand in cast), but the staff was even kind enough to cut it into pieces for me. I highly recommend this place! <3

I visited this café on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm, and it was extremely busy. Both indoor and outdoor tables were almost full, and it was quite hard to find a seat, which really shows how popular the place is. The menu looks great, with many appealing food options. The food was nice overall, although I personally felt the juice was a bit too watery (feel more of fake juice but it’s said that it’s real juice / I like the juice in a beagle place in Strijp-S is much better). Still, it didn’t take away from the experience. The staff were genuinely friendly, cheerful, and welcoming. The girls are all happy and the positive energy was spreading to me! You could tell they enjoy their work, which made the atmosphere even more pleasant. The café also has a toilet, which is very convenient and quite clean. We were there to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and the staff kindly helped arrange a candle on the cake and brought it to our table. It was a thoughtful gesture and made the celebration feel special. Overall, it was a very nice experience, and I would happily visit again.

One sentence: it's a shame it's so cramped. The food is perfect, the service too. It feels like the perfect place to have a good breakfast (if you want to treat yourself). The price is higher, but that's reflected in the amount you get. As I said, it's very cramped. You shouldn't come during peak hours, as it'll be hard to find a spot, but other than that: Highly recommended!

Food was VERY DELICIOUS, staff were friendly and welcoming, they were also fast with bringing the food. I will come back in the future, the cappuccino was very good as well, and definitely a big cup enough to satisfy my morning caffeine need hahaha🤣.

I have been here many times and always have a good experience. They have a more diverse coffee selection than most places. I have not tried the food, only the bakery items, but those have always been really good.

Coffees are good. But dont try the brownie. We ordered 3 coffees and 3 brownies. All the brownies were cold and the texture was so hard like it went out the freezer 2 min ago.

The food was fine. Good portions, though quite pricey (€5.50 for an iced tea). The girl who served us was extremely grumpy (she spoke English). Our first drinks and food arrived very quickly (within 10 minutes). When the food arrived, we ordered a second round of drinks (ice tea and spritz). These hadn't arrived after half an hour. We were almost finished with our food, so we told the waitstaff that we hadn't received our drinks yet. It seems logical to ask where our drinks were, especially since the people next to us, who ordered later, already had their drinks and it was less busy. You'd expect someone to say they'd check, but they said to us in a sharp tone: "We have more people." And she walked away. A very strange reaction. We understand that, but can't it happen that something is forgotten or already prepared? As if you're not allowed to ask the waitstaff where something is when you've already been waiting for half an hour? Then she went to the counter and someone else served it. It's really strange that she then goes on to talk about us with that colleague.

We sat outside in the summer. The staff was very attentive and asked us to open the umbrella so we could sit in the shade. The food is delicious, with an extensive menu featuring many vegetarian dishes.

Went here this weekend for the first time. Around 12.00 you already see people waiting to be seated, outside was full. Inside was crowded but it doesn't bother me at all, the decoration and way how they placed their furniture feels very cosy and not chaotic. Food and drinks are good and price is decent. Service already starts outside, the young waiter welcomed us with a smile. Service inside was excellent, polite, friendly and fast with a smile. For sure I will come back.
