Kruim in Kort Haarlem

Meneer was heel onbeleefd, en vroeg ons al te vertrekken nog voordat we ons drankje op hadden. Ongelofelijk! Niemand die ze aanspraken, maar ons… we waren ook geen last voor anderen. Man had een discriminerende aura.

Bij Kruim in Gouda met de familie mijn 65 jaar gevierd met een etentje. Omdat er (kleine) kinderen erbij waren, hier speciaal naar toe. Zij hadden de ruimte om te spelen, lezen en niet langdurig aan tafel te zitten. Daarnaast kwam het gezelschap, in totaal met kinderen 15, gespreid binnen. Geen probleem. Het reserveren ging moeizaam, mail bleef onbeantwoord, was het toch gelukt met een telefoontje en verwijzend naar mijn mail. Grote lange tafel. We begonnen met twee borrelplateaus XXL (koud en warm) en een drankje erbij. De borrelplateaus waren erg goed, lekker en goed gevuld. Daarna hebben we vanuit de menukaart besteld. Voor de kinderen was er een kindermenu. Ook hier was het eten (Blank Angus hamburger en Italiaanse visstoverij) erg goed en lekker. koffie en kinderijsjes toe. Het was een zeer geslaagd verjaardagsdiner. Super relax, goed eten en de kinderen konden alle kanten op. Zeer vriendelijk bedienend personeel. Toiletten met kaart te gebruiken.

We sat outside on the terrace, very friendly staff. Croissant was freshly baked, really a big 10 against egg in tomato sauce from a nasty jar and a glass of fresh orange juice and coffee for 12.50 I think is quite pricey..

We had a delicious lunch here this afternoon. We both had twelve hours. One with fish and the other with meat. Super tasty and a good quantity. The blended lemonade is also recommended. With the medium version you already get a large glass. We spent 46 euros for 2 people for lunch and two drinks each. All sandwiches could also be ordered gluten-free.

We enjoyed an extensive lunch here. We also had the Beetroot hummus sandwich which was containing grilled peppers, beans and zucchini. It was delicious. The service was excellent.

Last weekend we did the beer tasting once in the evening and had breakfast once in the morning, both with 3 people. The beer tasting was absolutely great. 6 different beers, delicious snacks in between, really enough. The breakfast was also excellent, nice fresh bread and well-filled. The service was friendly. In short, a nice meal and drinks 👍

Good food, staff is okay, unfortunately always a long wait. A bit noisy inside and therefore sometimes difficult to talk to each other.

I love this restaurant in the middle of one of the most beautiful libraries in the Netherlands. The service is always very kind. The food is excellent. What excels even more are the cakes. They are home made and really tasty. I love the coffee too. Highly recommend this restaurant in Gouda

We were wrongly urged to order more or we would have to leave. The waitress indicated this even though there were many places available and we had spent 25 euros within the last hour. Annoying.

In the old chocolate factory. Is recommended. On the ground floor together with the library.

Terrible hard seats. "Back to school", so to speak. I think some pillows would be a good idea. Food and drinks are good. Nice service. It's not really an intimate place because it's a big space. But with the open kitchen nearby, it still creates a cozy atmosphere.

Had a delicious lunch at Kruim: a toasted sandwich and ball sandwich. The combination of library and restaurant also remains fun and provides conviviality and liveliness!

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, relax and enjoy delicious cakes and great service. Surrounded by softly talking others, I think the atmosphere of the library ensures that. And people reading sitting on chairs on the stairs. And what a delicious chocolate cake! Lunch is also recommended. Something different again.

We went there for lunch with the family after my brother Rob's funeral. We were helped very friendly and correctly. The food and drinks were excellent. Come there more often, it is a really nice location near the library in the Chocolate Factory. There are many people who still believe that that building is actually a chocolate factory.

Delicious fresh food, delicious cappuccino and friendly service. A bit busy due to the visitors of the library who keep walking by, but that didn't really bother us. Socket at every table for charging laptop and telephone. Useful!

High tea…. Very very expensive!!! Chocolate and cookies left over from Christmas and service that you have to keep calling. For this price you expect better products, more luxurious sandwiches, better service. Great if you do it this way, but for half the price!

Beautiful location! Delicious coffee and excellent and friendly service! Unfortunately, you eat less: bread with a crust that is too hard, you couldn't get through it without damaging your bread and toppings. The chicken on the club sandwich was bone dry and placed in a thick compact pile on a sandwich instead of slices next to each other. The tomato soup was very watery and completely tasteless. In addition, the loud, wild music.....no, I wasn't that happy.

Genius idea to have a nice restaurant (and gift shop!) inside the library. The staff is just splendid - very professional, very friendly, very courteous - and the hot chocolate is worth a visit all on its own. We’ve started coming here with our toddler so that one of us can work on the first floor of the library while the other takes her to play and read in the kid’s section. The Duplo wall and cozy, varied sitting places make for an inviting extended reading nook. A nice sit-down lunch or dinner together afterwards is just perfect. Worth the visit!

Hebben meerdere malen een 12 uurtje samen besteld, mochten een delen. Vandaag werd meegedeeld dat dit voor het laatst was. Wij waren verbaasd. Verderop zat iemand 1 bak koffie te drinken en ging zijn boek lezen zonder nog iets te bestellen. Wordt hier met 2 maten gemeten?

Leuke plek in de bibliotheek. Mooie betaalbare lunchgerechtjes. Krap in het personeel daardoor langere (net acceptabele) wachttijd.

In a library, this cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. We, as Indians, were surprised to find Darjeeling Tea, the finest Indian tea, on their menu in Gouda. We tried it and liked it a lot. The coffee and sweets were good too, and we loved the Coconut Cherry pastry. The atmosphere and service were also nice. I recommend this place.

Ik kom hier om een echt lekkere croissant te eten, tijdscrijft lezen maar de koffie is vreselijk. En het is ook duur: koffie en croissant naturel € 6,10. Jammer voor een zo'n mooi plekje. Ik wil graag weten of ook iemand anders de koffie niet kekker vindt.

Cool, in der Bücherei ein schönes Café, mit Selbstgemachtem, was das Herz begehrt. Kann ich empfehlen. Strom fürs Handy und Tablett gibt es auch.

Een absolute aanrader. Ontzettend snelle bediening en vriendelijk personeel. Hoge kwaliteit eten en drinken. Leuk locatie. Voormalige chocolade fabriek.

Mooie locatie om lekker koffie te drinken, alleen of met anderen. Het is fijn dat je in de bibliotheek zit dus je kunt ook een boek lezen terwijl je wat te drinken nuttigt of je pakt een van de tijdschriften erbij. Heerlijk toegankelijke plek waar je ook best goed terecht kunt voor een lunch of avondeten. De kwaliteit van het eten verschilt wel per gerecht en moment, het is een prima plek om laagdrempelig wat te eten.

Gezellig restaurant in gebouw "de Chocoladefabriek" in Gouda. Tevens bevindt zich er een bibliotheek, Vermelde gerechten zijn mooi opgemaakt en erg lekker. Superaardige en attente bediening. Bijzondere plek, bibliotheek en restaurant. Eten was perfect, bediening goed.

Tussen de middag lunch gehad. 14 euro voor een twaalf uurtje is niet goedkoop maar als het eten goed is maakt dat niet zo veel uit. Brood was echter zo hard dat je ermee op de tafel kon slaan. Kaas taart was juist weer erg slap en waterig. Voor ons niet meer..
