Kua used to be a good place to have authentic Mexican food, but both food and service are going down. In combination with always long waiting times, it's no longer worth the waiting for me. If you complain about it, you won't be taken seriously, so I won't be coming back.

Food was tasteless and the service was bad.

Very disappointed from the management for two times in a row !!! It is not children friendly ! They refused to accommodate for simple needs of children ! This is sooo disappointing

We’ve been to Kua many times, but this was my first visit to their new location adjacent to their established restaurant. I ordered the birria torta and it was fantastic. The bread it came on was the best I’ve tasted on a torta, hands down - and I am from Brownsville, TX which is on the border from Mexico so we get the best Mexican food on the planet (in my opinion). It was crusty on the outside and soft inside. The birria was so tender, so none of the issues you get sometimes with tougher meat. There was a thickish layer of grilled cheese and aguacate and tomato along with their homemade sandwich spread. I ordered a side of black beans because the sandwich did not come with them. That would be the only suggested improvement - spread a thin layer of refried beans on the torta to finish it off and the sandwiches from Kua would be perfect. This is my favorite Mexican food joint in The Hague and one of only two places where I will eat Mexican food. Highly recommended. Next time I will try and convince myself to order the chilaquiles/migas. And lastly, but not least(ly), the service is phenomenal. Gio and staff are incredible and they always give me a handshake and a smile when we come in. Buen hecho y a poca madre!

Very tasty authentic Mexican food

Well, was hoping to taste great Mexican food in the Hague but waiters were not interested in serving us. With just a few occupied tables noone came to us to take an order or at least offer the drinks. Waiters were casually walking around, preoccupied with their phones, never coming to our table. When we were leaving, my wife approached one of the waitresses and told her that this is unacceptable. She got a smirk in response. I mean, ok, message received

We went with friends to their new Mexican brunch spot right across the street from the restaurant. I'm Mexican, and I was in tears when I tasted the chilaquiles—a 10 out of 10! The hot chocolate came with a mini replica of the milk frother they use in Mexico to make it by hand. The coffee was delicious, and they had traditional sweet bread. An authentic and very special place to visit whenever you can.

Lovely informal place, very friendly staff, and delicious food. Generous portions too; we only had a main course, and that was enough for us. I got the impression that everything was homemade. And if you aren't as fond of spicy food as my dining companion, this is a great place to go too. The staff offers good advice in that regard. So go here, it's really fun, tasty, and cozy!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in all of the Netherlands, actually my most favorite restaurant period. The food is amazing and the staff are so friendly.

If you want to teleport to Mexico for a little while, come to KUA! The food is excellent quality, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The menu is very diverse, so there’s something for everyone. We felt really well taken care of by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, which made the whole experience even better. A beautiful place, close to the center of the city. The main room is very thin and cosy. With great decor. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of food and service. The Mole enmoladas with chicken was amazing. The sauce is incredible deep and flavourful. They had a vast range of meskal with a tasting selection. Well worth the visit a I cant wait to return.

I went to Kua Cantina with a Spanish friend and she really enjoyed it! I’m from Mexico and have visited Kua Kitchen several times, so I already knew it was good. I had the chilaquiles and two aguas frescas, horchata and tamarind, and for dessert I tried a bisquet. I loved that it came with butter and jam, it was absolutely delicious! Everything was delicious as always. Congratulations and keep up the great work! 🇲🇽❤️

Terrible experience. We waited an hour for our main course while the clueless staff kept coming over to ask us whether our food had arrived. Maybe you should know that, considering it is literally your job? The food tasted good, to be fair, but the portions were tiny and seriously overpriced. Definitely not worth the overall experience.

An excellent experience for those seeking authentic Mexican cuisine, far from the usual commercial circuits. The overall dinner was decidedly positive! Highlights: Cuisine and Flavors (True Mexican Experience): The dishes offer a rare authenticity, with truly unique and refined combinations of ingredients and flavors. I enjoyed the Mole. Note on the Spicy Flavor: The spices and heat are truly noticeable. For those who like strong flavors, this is a real highlight, while those more sensitive to spicy food may find it a bit intense (better ask the staff for advice when ordering). Overall, a highly recommended place for those who want to explore the most authentic and original Mexican tradition!

It’s been years since food has made me this speechless, so much so that my partner and I ate our mains in silence after already having our great appetizers and drinks. All the service staff have been exceptionally delightful, prompt and kind, especially Alex who gave us magnificent recommendations which we happily took. And then the atmosphere on a balmy summer’s eve, sitting outside on the terrace, with more-than-amazing authentic Mexican food and drinks (seriously, we can’t stop talking about it), made this whole experience perfect from start to finish. If we could give 500 stars we would, but we’ll quantify it in the number of times we will be back.

What a wonderful experience this was. The food was incredibly flavorful and everything was served in a beautiful, authentic way. The rice with the fresh addition of red onion was especially highly recommended. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and inviting. Everything looks fresh, and the presentation on the earthenware plates completes the experience. I will definitely be coming back here again.

update: We keep coming back, because this restaurant never disappoints us lately. It all starts with the excellent quality of the food. The amazing chefs and the kitchen team know how to bring the authentic flavors to life so well that I feel like I'm back in Mexico for a moment. My mother is here on vacation for three months, and whenever she gets homesick for our beautiful country, I take her to Kua to let her enjoy the flavors of Mexico. It feels like a little piece of home every time. Finally, we would like to emphasize Luigi's fantastic service. He manages to put a smile on our faces every time we visit. Truly amazing. Vanessa and the boy behind the bar, whose name I unfortunately no longer remember, also deserve a special compliment for their friendliness, attentiveness, and hospitality. Congratulations to the entire team. We will certainly see you again before my mother leaves for Mexico again, so see you soon! When I went there the second time, I was greeted with so much warmth. The server recognised me and gave me a hug 🤗 The service and amiability of everyone is unmatched! The first time was also such a joy. They seated us despite the kitchen closing just a minute before and served us the BEST tacos you can get in The Hague. The best mexican spot around. The tacos are so juicy. Highly recommend the birria and the pescado tacos. There are also great non alcoholic drink options :)))

Many empty tables and turned away. Instead of letting free loaders roll on your empty tables maybe let walk-ins get tables instead.

Mexican restaurant spotted on *Keuringsdienst van Waarde* regarding guacamole. Whether the menu is authentic is of no concern to me; above all, it is very tasty. As a starter, we had the tortilla chips with guacamole, and they were fantastic. The sauce was creamy and well prepared. The chips were fresh. For the main course, we shared 3 dishes: the tacos, the birria, and the enchiladas. The birrias, in particular, were irresistible. I lie awake at night craving another portion because they were delicious. Among the cocktails, there was also a standout. Mixed with herbs on the rim. Truly a sensation.

I came here and we were told to wait for a table for 25 minutes (when we finally got a table, it was the one that was free the whole time). Then they did not give us menus for 15 mins and then we had to get them ourselves, and then they took an extra 10 minutes to even take our drinks order.

This is an excellent place! The food is very fresh and made with care and attention to detail. We had ceviche mixto and a mix of tacos, and both dishes had layers of flavors - superb, truly. The margaritas were excellent too, just the right proportions. We will definitely go back and highly recommend this place not just for authentic Mexican food but for an excellent food experience in general.

Nice restaurant and good Mexican food. Through little details the Mexican owners show the Mexican traditions in their meals, although spicy wasn’t Mexican “spicy”. A pity the prices were not like they are in Mexico, but still reasonable. We sat on the terrace outside and were lucky we were able to finish before a thunderstorm. Service was a bit slow, but it was quite busy. Staff were very friendly and nice. Recommended

I went here with my sister on Saturday, we had a pitcher of margarita. Which was a great deal! The food was amazing, from the taco tasting to the desert. The staff was super friendly, would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful evening at KUA, pure authentic cuisine. The highlight of the menu for us were the tacos, the cochinita and the quesabirria! As a professional chef with over 17 years of experience in the culinary arts, having visited many countries and experienced some major disappointments in my field, I must say that today my partner and I were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We've been here for a year, and this was our first restaurant visit. I have no complaints whatsoever. The birria tacos were excellent, and the fish ceviche was very tasty. We liked the mixed taco platter, although the chicken taco with tomatillo wasn't quite as good. But the rest was a 10/10.

We ate here for the first time and will definitely be back. The food was really delicious; both the vegetarian and the meat dish were prepared with care. The portions are generous. We had nachos as a starter to share + a main course each. The cocktails and mocktails are also delicious! We had a table next to the bar; this wasn't the best spot (very busy continuously), but the restaurant itself is very atmospheric.

The food is very tasty and authentic! The staff is friendly and helpful. We were curious about their white wine as my friend really liked it and wanted to get the name, they brought out the bottle so we could see it :) they also helped us choose which dishes to take.

Kua has become one of my favorite restaurants in the Netherlands. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, especially on sunny days when you can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the view. I do recommend reserving in advance and specifying where you’d like to sit, as the best tables are often booked. The food is outstanding and, in my opinion, some of the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had in the Netherlands. Everything tastes fresh, the flavors are consistently excellent, and the menu is updated regularly, which keeps every visit exciting. The cocktails were a pleasant surprise as well. The margaritas and other drinks we tried were perfectly balanced and complemented the food beautifully. Service was excellent. Samuel and Winston were friendly, attentive, and professional. Our food arrived quickly, and we never felt forgotten during our visit. The portions are generous and great for sharing. My partner and I ordered several dishes and were able to enjoy a variety of flavors without overspending. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, great cocktails, and consistently high-quality service, Kua is absolutely worth a visit.

We enjoyed our first visit a lot. Very friendly welcome and good service. The corn tortillas and guacamole were great. Also the classic margarita. We enjoyed the tacos a lot, but the chicken with mole was quite heavy and we wouldn't order it again. The beans were delicious and we would appreciate a bigger serving of those. We will definitely come back as overall it was a positive experience.

After visiting the restaurant, I was asked to provide feedback on my experience. I wrote a friendly message mentioning that the menu could have been more extensive, as it lacked options like burritos. Additionally, I noted that the price did not match the quality of the food we received. Instead of expressing gratitude for my time and feedback, I was drawn into an argument with the owner, who suggested that I go to two other restaurants for cheap burritos. This is not how we should treat customers!

The best restaurant in the whole Netherlands and the best sopa Azteca I've ever tried in my life. A bit pricy but totally worth it. Please re-open KUA Rotterdam.

¡Qué experiencia decepcionante tuvimos hoy! Tuvimos que esperar media hora para nuestras sopas que estaban tibias cuando finalmente llegaron, y otra media hora para el plato principal. El ruido de una mesa (medio borracho antes de las 6 de la tarde, parecía) era tan estridente que pedimos la cuenta tan pronto como terminamos nuestro plato, solo para salir del lugar ruidoso. El plato principal era excelente, el personal muy amable, pero la comida era muy cara. Fue nuestra tercera visita a KUA, pero probablemente la última. Por 87 €. 50 esperábamos mucho más!

Our servers were amazing, as were our meals! The restaurant has a chic family restaurant feel and the decor contributes to the experience. If you are looking for a hot, typical Mexican meal, I highly recommend.
