After visiting the restaurant, I was asked to provide feedback on my experience. I wrote a friendly message mentioning that the menu could have been more extensive, as it lacked options like burritos. Additionally, I noted that the price did not match the quality of the food we received. Instead of expressing gratitude for my time and feedback, I was drawn into an argument with the owner, who suggested that I go to two other restaurants for cheap burritos. This is not how we should treat customers!

The best restaurant in the whole Netherlands and the best sopa Azteca I've ever tried in my life. A bit pricy but totally worth it. Please re-open KUA Rotterdam.

¡Qué experiencia decepcionante tuvimos hoy! Tuvimos que esperar media hora para nuestras sopas que estaban tibias cuando finalmente llegaron, y otra media hora para el plato principal. El ruido de una mesa (medio borracho antes de las 6 de la tarde, parecía) era tan estridente que pedimos la cuenta tan pronto como terminamos nuestro plato, solo para salir del lugar ruidoso. El plato principal era excelente, el personal muy amable, pero la comida era muy cara. Fue nuestra tercera visita a KUA, pero probablemente la última. Por 87 €. 50 esperábamos mucho más!

Our servers were amazing, as were our meals! The restaurant has a chic family restaurant feel and the decor contributes to the experience. If you are looking for a hot, typical Mexican meal, I highly recommend.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. I ate at the restaurant with my mother who is Mexican and she was also very happy with the food! We ordered the guacamole and the quesadilla frita del dia for starters. For mains we ordered the pollo pibil, cazuelita de birria and the enmoladas de pollo. It is amazing to finally have found an authentic Mexican place to eat while being so far away from Mexico. The margaritas are also very tasty. The service was also very good and they were very helpful to other tables on guiding them through the menu since some dishes have special/unique flavour (e.g mole). All in all would highly recommend!!!

The food was absolutely gorgeous! Such balanced and smooth flavours, clearly no artificial flavourings or poor quality products. Everything is just extremely authentically delicious! Special thank you to all the lovely staff members who made it so much more memorable:) Especially Rahina, who served us one of the best cocktails out there and who introduced us to so many gorgeous tequilas! Excellent food, drinks and service.

Easily one of the most delish and authentic Mexican dinners I have eaten in a long while. Everything on our plates was flavourful and satiating. Recommend making a reservation on the weekends as the place gets packed real soon.

Good service and pleasant atmosphere. I had several palomas (€10) that were very delicious and a corvina ceviche (€20) that lacked a little of everything. Anyway, I recommend it.

Small cozy restaurant with lots of choices on the menu, but like most Mexican restaurants outside of North and South America they tone down the spices and flavor to fit the palettes of Europeans. Staff was super attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was laid back. If I go again I would bring some cayenne pepper based seasoning along.

An excellent (authentic) Mexican restaurant, the only thing that disappointed me was the amount of salt and the way of serving. But that will probably also be authentic, and I cannot judge it as a layman. The spicyness was just right.

Excellent Mexican restaurant, the food is authentic, super delicious; we really appreciated how good the service was as well. Making a reserve is mandatory. The dish “Tacos al Pastor” is only available on Sundays as far as I understand. Looking forward to return soon.

If you would like to eat authentic Mexican food (not Tex-Mex) which tastes delicious and goes easy on your stomach, then this is the place! I cannot skip how friendly and quick the service was. The staff is very knowledgeable, they come with good suggestions.

Authentic Mexican food. The cocktails are delicious. As a starter we had the Guacamole and Chips (the guacamole is delicious), Quesadilla (tasty but a lot of cheese) and the Ceviche Mexicano (nice and fresh but a bit too sour). The starters are pricey, but you also get large portions (too large in our opinion, which is at the expense of the main course) As a main course, my daughter had the Cazuelita de Birria, deliciously juicy, tender meat with a delicious taste. At the end my daughter saw that there was still a piece of blood vessel in it, which is a bit messy. My wife had the Enchiladas de pollo verdes, she loved it. I had the Pirata de arrachera adobada, also recommended. You can take any leftover food with you.

We had a very tasty meal, there is plenty of choice for vegetarians. The cocktail was also great. An extra compliment to the super nice Jamaican boy at the counter, who switched effortlessly between Dutch, English and Spanish. He did a great job and gave good tips regarding our order :) His presence made the outing complete!

To make matters worse, a fifth taco is missing from the main course. There are still garnishes left, but you are just one taco short. Food is very good. Especially tomatillo sauce very tasty!

Absolutely delicious food, I recommend the green enchiladas!!!💖 Moving here, I do miss the Texas-sized portions, especially for the chips and salsa🥲 Here at Kua you get the best tasting salsa IN THE TINIEST LITTLE SHOT GLASS SIZED CUP WITH A TINY SPOON THAT'S NOT EVEN HALF FULL. The chip to salsa ratio was way off. The chips came in a small bowl. Definitely my only complaint because I wanted more. But the enchilada portion was prefect, I even had to ask for a to-go container. THE BEANS WERE PERFECT, SO FLAVOURFUL!!! The rice, not so much. It's also very dim inside the restaurant and the day we went was raining so the lighting was off, making me dizzy and giving me a headache. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming💖 the price of the meal is worth it since it was yummy and authentic. Coming back soon💖

We hebben hier gedineerd, reserveren is aanbevolen. Erg vriendelijke bediening. Klein restaurant wat wel heel lawaaiierig is wanneer het vol zit (en dat is al snel 😅). Het was lang wachten op het dessert (45-60 minuten voor churro's...) en ook op de rekening moesten we erg lang wachten. Het eten was wel heerlijk! Echt mexicaans en heerlijke combinaties.

You will experience some proper proper Mexican food. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. I have been coming here for a few years and I am never disappointed. I would recommend the mole poblano as well as the sopa Azteca during the cold winter season.

We hebben heerlijk authentiek Mexicaans gegeten bij Kua, en dat is in Nederland een zeldzaamheid. Wie Tex-Mex taco's, tortillachips en chili con carne verwacht moet hier niet zijn, wel krijg je hier traditionele gerechten met heerlijke mole en tortilla's van blauwe mais. Flinke porties, nagerechten waren ook top. Wel op tijd reserveren want de ruimte is beperkt.

Amazing! When it is a que outside before opening that is a good sign. Never been at this place before but I have never tasted anything like this before. This is authentic Mexican food served with passion. The tortillas are perfect. Friendly service as well. If you are coming in groups I would recommend to book in advance.

Had dinner with a friend prior to an evening of cabaret. We were helped quickly and friendly. Unfortunately ordered red wine but received a glass of white. In addition, it was attractive, but we immediately noticed that it was a low-level room, where the tables were too close together. A good conversation between the neighbors was easy to follow and vice versa. Nice for once…

Food and service were excellent. The only problem is the price, which I found a little high in relation to the food that was served.

Het restaurant ziet er gezellig uit. De sanseveria's lokten ons naar binnen. Echter. De wijn was lauw, de cola ook. We bestelden enchillada met kip. Het werd geserveerd als 1 papperige brij. De kip was ver te zoeken onder de zompige en zurige saus. Er zaten geen groenten op, enkel een verdroogd stukje ijsbergsla.

Good Mexican food (traditional), relaxed atmosphere and a wide availability of cocktails. The pozole soup and the flan Mexicano are especially recommended.

Amazing food and cocktails. If you're a fan of Mexican food, this is the place to have it in The Netherlands. Our favorites tend to be the enchiladas or tacos Al pastor. They of course have margaritas and various other cocktails that delight. Definitely grab a reservation as this place books up well in advance.

We've been here a couple of times now. It's a very cozy restaurant. We love the authentic Mexican food. Not like all the Tex-Mex you get everywhere else. The staff is really friendly. When sitting upstairs it can be a bit noisy, hence the 4 stars for atmosphere.

The restaurant is very nice. It is small and it is better to arrive with a reservation. The arrachera tacos were delicious. The food in general was very tasty. I asked for a spicier sauce and they brought us a delicious habanero sauce. The service was incredible, our waiter was very cheerful and attentive.

During my visit to KUA Mexican Kitchen, I was pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the food and the friendliness of the staff. Each dish presented at the table was a new adventure, full of taste and crafted with care. However, as someone who enjoys dining at a leisurely pace and savoring each bite and sip, I found the concept of a time slot somewhat restrictive. The idea of lingering over a meal, having the time to truly appreciate the food and ambiance, was somewhat compromised by this limitation. There are so many delicious flavors and dishes I wanted to try, but the pressure of the time slot made it difficult to relax and appreciate the meal as I'm accustomed to. This aspect also influenced my perception of the price-quality ratio. While the quality of the food was undoubtedly high, the overall experience felt somewhat rushed due to the time constraint. For me, part of the value of a meal is the ability to enjoy and linger without having to watch the clock. Nevertheless, KUA Mexican Kitchen offers an authentic culinary experience with staff that are definitely worth visiting for those who seek authentic Mexican dishes. My hope is that in the future they might be more flexible with the time slots, allowing everyone the opportunity to enjoy the rich flavors and hospitality they have to offer at their own pace.

The food is tasty! I’m Mexican so authentic Mexican flavors are appreciated! The restaurant is small, the services is great but the it serious when they say you only have 2 hours to eat, they will ask for the table.

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures but the food is spectacular. We ordered birria and chicken enchiladas and regular margaritas. The birria was one of the best I had, chicken enchilada was alright, besides the flavorful sauce it wasn't speciall. The margarita was strong but very small :)), I somehow expected it to be larger than a cocktail glass but aside from the size it was pretty strong. I'd definitely go back and this time will get two birrias.

KUA is a really authentic place with nice and helpful staff. You must try ceviche, it is so fresh and tasty! Guacamole, quesadillas and tacos were great. I could not finish enmoladas de pollo because of the strong taste of cacao. It was not for me… Churro was okay but not great. Overall, it was a great experience and I definitely recommend!

We had to leave early because we had a concert nearby. This was indicated in advance and was taken into account very carefully! The food was also super tasty, right back on holiday. The atmosphere was very pleasant, nice music and the staff had a good laugh with each other, we will definitely come back!

Visited this restaurant with a party of 4. Unfortunately all of the dishes lacked seasoning. Everything was tasteless and lacked any real soul or depth. For the cost of the dishes we were really expecting something spectacular, unfortunately we all left feeling very disappointed and as if we had wasted our money. For a more detailed breakdown: We ordered the tacos al pastor: the Sunday specialty, nothing stood out about this dish. Everything was flavour less except for the guacamole which i suppose had some salt in it. The ENMOLADAS DE POLLO were drenched in Mole. Which I can imagine isn't everyone's taste. But the overwhelming coffee taste was too overpowering, you could literally taste nothing else. The ENCHILADAS DE POLLO VERDES were lacking flavour and texture. Everything was soft and mushy. We also waited 2 hours for our dishes. Overall not a pleasant experience unfortunately. Although there are many high reviews, I would not recommended this restaurant as it just did not meet expectations the reviews had led us to expect.
