Saludable Taqueria in Wijk 28 Centrum

The service was super friendly and explained how the dishes were prepared on our first visit. The food we ordered was delicious and freshly prepared, so we ate here three times within nine days. We had the "Double Crunch Burrito" filled with pulled beef, no toppings. The salsa options were "papaya," "verde," and "chipotle." All three were delicious. The "Homemade Nachos" are also highly recommended, which come with a red salsa. They also offer tobasco if you want to spice up the salsa :). A definite recommendation for Saludable!

The restaurant made a good visual impression. Well-maintained and well-organized. We ordered three tacos each and the boneless ribs for the center to share. The tacos themselves were rather soft and mushy in texture (even though they're supposed to be softer in Mexican style, unfortunately, they weren't as they should be). Which is a shame, because that's the base that provides the crunch and makes eating tacos special. The topping quantities were okay (although it was annoying that something was mixed up on two tacos, even though you can choose everything yourself at the terminal in German and the employee just needs to read it off the receipt. So it wasn't due to the language barrier). Apart from the spicy pineapple sauce, nothing was unique. The quality was okay, but I find it a shame that the food leaves you with the feeling, "Hmmm, it tastes just average. You could have at least made something similar at home." Since the taste was just bland and standard, but not inedible, I would give it three stars (if the texture of the tacos hadn't been so disappointing). There was a blonde hair in one of my wife's tacos, but that doesn't count towards the rating (spoiler alert: we both have brunettes, so it wasn't ours). The boneless ribs were, unfortunately, a complete disappointment and far from what we expected. The quality of the meat was unfortunately poor, very tough, and difficult to cut through with wooden utensils (let alone chew). I've experienced something completely different with ribs that were well-prepared and of higher quality. Then the meat is usually buttery soft, and at no point does you feel like you're chewing gum. Aside from the texture of the meat, the taste was equally poor. "Factory-made meat from an assembly line" unfortunately describes the flavor quite well here. I don't want to be too harsh on this, because the service itself was quite good, and the young man at the cash register was really nice. (They didn't have the drink we paid for, but we were able to have soda and refill it frequently. And because they didn't have a particular sauce they chose, we got our money back in a pleasant/friendly manner.) Because the tacos were halfway decent (and there was a certain level of quality) and the service was so friendly, I'm giving it two stars. Although, to be honest, I initially considered giving it only one.

A great place for Mexican food! The tacos are generous, well-filled, and the flavors explode in your mouth (special mention for the pickles and sauces). The quesadilla was perfect. But above all: the service is top-notch! It's a real pleasure to eat in a place where people are happy to welcome you. 👉 Excellent value for money

I eat here all the time. Great when you want something to grab quickly. Would like to know the hiring process the owner has, usually in places like this when you have a young person at the front they behave like they don’t want to be there. The staff here are always so friendly and helpful and it seems like they have a great culture. Great food and great banter with the staff! Thanks for feeding me when I finish up the gym and can’t be bothered cooking 💛

Lovely mexican food, ordered a pocket burrito, but don't let that fool you, it was jam packed with filling, I had chicken with smokey chipotle salsa and extra fresh jalapenos on it, costing €9.50 and it was very delicious and filling! Menu is varied, burrito bowls, tacos, enchiladas, etc.

Went for lunch. Very courteous staff; 1. Arrived in the rain a bit before opening time, and was let in to wait while the chef was still doing prep. 2. Chef asked if I would preferred the door open or closed in the sudden weather. 3. Put on some smooth jazz at a comfy volume. 4. Made fantastic food.

People working here are really nice and the food let me tell you is good, not a lot of people come which is a shame so I hope this review helps people come here

After the good reviews for this place, I decided to go and try the famous burrito. I was deeply disappointed. 70% of the burrito was white rice, and they added two meager pieces of meat (which was very bland and dry). The burrito had no flavor whatsoever. They give you the option to choose the protein and salsa you like. The service was very good, very friendly!

It was very unfortunate for me to have randomly entered this place because NOW I have to travel from Amsterdam to Den Haag everytime I'm craving my double crunch burrito with pescado and reaper mayo (to die for) I was only searching for a place to charge my phone and have a beer, and always being in the mood for Mexican food I stumbled into this spot and accidentally read their menu and ordered my now favorite street food I can only hope and wish that they expand enough to open a spot closer to where I live. Otherwise a train ticket is well worth the travel. Super friendly staff, Highly recommend!

Very good place to quickly eat or pick up something. Flavors were fresh and the combinations very good. I was recommended the lentil chunk and even though I am normally not a fan of lentils, these (kind of nuggets) lentil chunks were really great! I took the mix of 3 tacos with chicken, beef and lentil chunks and let the boy in the shop decide on the toppings. If you are a big eater, this may not be enough for you, so I would order some more. In short, good choice!

I was excited to eat my Mexican food, but unfortunately it was all a disappointment when it arrived. It's very bad. The burrito had raw, hard and bad rice and everything was very expensive. I won't eat this place again.

This is enjoyment! Insanely delicious food, friendly staff and lovely outdoor seating. Have now visited both locations and am a regular customer! I didn't know Mexican food could be so delicious.

The food was disgusting, I don't doubt the freshness of the ingredients but the items didn't go together and weren't tasty at all, I don't know if it was just that day and short staffed or if the food wasn't that fresh (I came later in the day). Your response didn't even address the lack of staff and having the lights off. There were four of us and none of us enjoyed it. I have the right to leave an honest and sincere review, you don't have to like it. My bread is very tasty. Have the day you deserve. Original Review: This food is disgusting. The closest combo. This is not Mexican food it's not Tex Mex and it's not a fusion. This is utter crap. And my friend got suck and vomited after. When we went there was only one boy working who did his best and was lovely for all the orders he had to make. We had to eat upstairs with half the light off in half dark. This place should be condemned. I have had better Dutch "Mexican" food than this. I would rather eat a wet piece of bread off the street that has been ran over by a bike.

€14 for a burrito where everything tasted like it came out of a can, and the tortilla tasted like it came from Albert Hein. The rice was undercooked, and the burrito was flattened so that the ingredients were layered from right to left. One bite would be nothing but wet rice, and another bite would be just cheese. There are so many better places that have a FAR better value on the oude molenstraat. In fact, the new Taco Bell offers the same quality for a way better price (and I'm not endorsing Taco Bell)

We ordered 2 burritos with chicken. Sadly there wasn’t almost chicken in them. It was like eating some simple vegetable salad rolled in a tortilla. As I progressed with each bite I thought the chicken would appear but it wasn't until the end that a small amount became present. We felt scammed. The chicken portion offered by this branch wasn´t balanced with the rest of the ingredientes but shameful, maybe thinking that costumer will not notice this because the filling is mixed…Please, if you run out of stock of any ingredient almost at the end of the day, tell the customer so we do not waste money and time. Almost €30 wasted now

We stumbled upon this place by chance, walking through the streets of the center, and yet it was one of the best burritos I've ever eaten (and certainly the healthiest). The Vegan Lentil Nuggets were also delicious. Really friendly and nice staff, this place definitely deserves a break from visiting the city.

Very friendly welcome. A menu was immediately brought and information about the menu was given. However, the food was disappointing. My food was quite cold and I personally found it a bit dry. The fries were weak and still a bit raw on the inside. Too bad, because the owner was very sympathetic.

I tried the Tacos with fillings. It comes with three Tacos and you can select the sauce and fillings for each. The tacos are made of whole wheat and the fillings are also in generous amounts. I liked the idea of the business to provide healthy food and thus they don't have the typical sugary colas but still have a good variety of sodas. The customer service was very nice and felt like an authentic helpful attitude. Kudos

Ordered a barbacoa burrito that doesn’t taste like Mexican food at all, it had almost no beef and they made us pay 2 euros for salsa sauce go to Salsa Shop instead same price but you get your moneys worth

Food was pretty good, the owner explained and advised us very well. The atmosphere could use more help and plates when you eat there might be better than boxes. Seating towards the window needs a bar to put our feet on. All in all we would certainly go back.

Kleiner laden, der Chef ist super - hat bei der Auswahl sehr geholfen, ein cooler Typ der weiß was er tut. Seine Aushilfe war leider ein wenig unbeholfen und noch nicht ganz im Thema, aber er hat sich sehr mühe gegeben. Die Burritos waren sehr gut - die Tacos haben uns aber nicht so zugesagt. Würden aber auf jeden fall auch einen Snack nochmal vorbei kommen wenn wir in Den Haag sind.
