I recommend it for the very hungry. It's plentiful and delicious.

Unfortunately not enough seating.. but delicious food

We were served quickly, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was great. I used to go there often during my student days; now, after all these years, the taste is still the same. I enjoyed it with the kids.

The staff weren't particularly friendly or cheerful, but oh well, at least as long as the fries are tasty. A 'normal Bamba' is actually 'Bamba without': fries without sauce. But is that normal? It seemed more like a trick, because sauce is an extra €0.80. The Samurai sauce wasn't tasty, but there was a lot of it—so much that you couldn't taste the fries themselves anymore. Maybe that was a trick too... La Bamba used to be a household name... I was really disappointed.

Yesterday, I bought an ice cream sundae for my two children. A few hours later, they both vomited it all up again. This can't be a coincidence. Hygiene most likely a problem. Unfortunately, La Bamba is unreachable by email or phone (the phone number is out of service), so I can't report it anywhere. So I'll have to go public via Google Reviews. No more La Bamba for us.

Normally, I wouldn't be quick to order from a chip shop online, let alone leave a review... Now I am, seeing as the delivery time was 20-30 minutes and there was no time to cook. I called... They cheerfully said another 40 minutes, with apologies. A total of over 2.5 hours waiting for fries. Worthless and zero empathy. A disgrace.

I'd ordered fries and a croquette. When I asked afterward if I could have a little extra sauce, he initially pretended not to hear me and turned up the radio. When I asked again, he sighed ostentatiously, grabbed my bag of fries, cleared his throat, and spat a large, yellow gob into it. "Here you go," he said with a mocking look, "your extra sauce." When I indicated that I found this a bit odd, he turned up the radio (playing Django Wagner) even more and then, in broad daylight, lowered the shutter. When I started banging on the shutter, he threw a container of mayonnaise and some fries onto the street under the shutter. "Here's your extra sauce, compliments of the chef," he called from under the shutter. I then had to smother the rest of my fries in the sauce on the sidewalk. The fries were delicious, as were the croquettes. 4/5 stars.

Great fries. The lady who helped us was very nice. It's a shame there's no seating inside or outside.

Waited 1.5 hours for the delivery driver (I assume the delivery driver couldn't do anything about it). The food was cold, and no drinks were included, even though I paid for them. During busy times, the service is really poor, and things are often forgotten or left lukewarm or cold. When it's quiet, the service is excellent, and there's nothing to complain about.

The tastiest fries in the region

We order from them every week and always the same: fries, meatballs and satay. Now they forgot the satay and when you call them it should be resolved, after 25 minutes they finally arrive with 'fries' but no satay again...too bad.

Late delivery. I initially waited 60 minutes, then called, and it was delayed by another 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, and still nothing.

I've now stood at the counter twice waiting for someone (four people) to bother to help or even say anything. They look grumpy, act busy, and don't say anything, so there you are. If you ask for something, it's like you don't exist. I think your customer focus and service are truly terrible. That used to be so different. What a shame!

You have fries with a wide variety of sauces

I have known this cafeteria since I came to Zwolle: more than 50 years. For me one of the best in Zwolle

The food is good, but €5.65 for a cone? That used to be normal, but the cones have shrunk to toddler size. It's ridiculous what you get for it...

Best fries in Zwolle. Just with fries flavor without that herb crust or something. As it should be. Cone is also a plus.

The potatoes are delicious, the nuggets are not made from minced meat from Jumbo, but from fillets!!! The staff were friendly and they peeled potatoes in front of us. All night! Workaholics! The chicken was personally plucked! One thing, ketchup is crap.

Delicious cone of fries (with peanut sauce)! Always busy, but you never have to wait long. And it's also a bit of nostalgia for me to get fries there.

Cute French fry spot 🍟. I personally found it pretty good. I feel the fries themselves were sort of bland. You do pay extra for the sauces, however they are truly veryyy generous with the sauces.

There's nothing better than getting a bag from Labamba if you have to go shopping at a prison camp... uh, I mean.

Unfortunately the fries don't taste good at all. Hardly any salt, not crispy, wobbly. We threw away our portion.

We ordered food for 50 people. We had already arranged and paid for everything long before the date. On the day itself we called to check (this was hours before) no one knew anything and the boss did not report it. Very friendly staff solved the problem for us. But all the croquettes were all pressed together and completely broken.

A while ago you got fresh fries here, today the fries you got are now regular all-round factory fries. So no more labamba for us. So you get less for more

The French fries are available in three sizes: small, medium and large. We recommend a small portion. The medium portion costs 3.50 euros, and the dipping sauce costs 0.70 euros. We ordered the curry flavor, which was pretty good.

What bad fries. Fried way too hard, small pieces and the Flemish mayonnaise is anything but Flemish. Doesn't look very hygienic either. No, not recommended.

In the earlier years we often ate at the cinema De Kroon opposite the bench, I always remembered the Houte forks and you never got a bowl of wall that did not exist at the time, the business was very early on with the environment and climate😉 I grew up with the wooden forks. Good times 😎 Definitely come again after Zwolle

Versteckter Imbiss in zwolle aber wahnsinnigen Zulauf

Afgelopen keer hier voor het eerst geweest. Eerlijk gezegd is het me zwaar tegengevallen. Ik had van een patatzaak zeker beter verwacht. Ook de satésaus vond ik niet te eten eerlijk gezegd. Ik ben een satésaus eter. En ik vond dit absoluut niet te eten. Het had een hele rare smaak. En ik had beter verwacht. De patat was af en toe ook heel erg zacht. Er leek wel een beetje te veel olie in te zitten. Dit was voor mij één keer en helaas niet weer.

Heerlijke patat, netjes dat je de saus apart meekrijgt. Alleen laat de bezorgers om meerdere redenen niet zo voor de balie wachten.

Ontzettend lekkere friet & saus ! Heerlijke puntzakken :) Absoluut de beste van Zwolle ! Wat ons opviel , Het enorme gehang van de bezorgers, hangen & roken onder de luifel , En wat ik nog wel het ergste vond..Er was 1 jongen bij , Kanker dit, kanker dat ... Vond het erg confronterend !!

Ik kom hier al tientallen jaren. Het is een echt begrip in Zwolle, altijd lekker royale porties patat met fantastische smaak. Tip: vraag ok en dubbele mayo, dan verdelen ze hem en heb je altijd mayo ook bij de laatste patatjes.

Lekkere friet, ondanks de onopvallende plek vrijwel altijd een wachtrij. Ik heb hier een paar keer friet gehaald en altijd heel lekker. Je krijgt genoeg saus en ook genoeg friet. Zitplaatsen zijn niet aanwezig ter plekke, maar voor Waanders zijn wel bankjes en op het Rodetorenplein zijn ook een paar plekken om te zitten.

Vriendelijk geholpen, goede friet, en ze hebben vegan mayo 😁

Een van de beste patatzaak van Zwolle! Wel een tikkeltje duurder dan de gemiddelde friettent, maar dan heb je ook wel écht lekkere frituur!

Lekker patatje in een puntzak met een flinke klodder saus, lekker nostalgies opeten op het bankje tegen de broerenkerk. Deed ik 25+ jaar geleden al met m'n ouders en nu met mijn eigen kinderen.
