Cozy little place with delicious fresh dishes!

The atmosphere is great and the staff is polite. However, the portions are astonishingly small: the hamburger delivered to us was approximately the size of a tennis ball.

Food was served quickly and tasty and seasoned very well. Service was excellent 👌

We had a delicious meal, very good. That is why I didn't understand the small plastic tub of honey with the cheese, alongside all the other fresh dishes? This gives an unnecessarily unjustified impression of ‘convenience’ regarding the otherwise excellent food. And sometimes it was a bit difficult to get the staff's attention, but perhaps that was because we were sitting just out of sight? But otherwise, friendly service.

We went to eat here and I thought it was too expensive. 9 euros for 2 yakitori-style chicken skewers, come on, be serious. Furthermore, I found the service by a lady very poor; everything was just dumped on the table. The young man with the mustache was very friendly, though. I wouldn't go here. Still 2 stars. 4 years ago I wrote this: Yeah, okay. We only had a drink. The virgin strawberry mojito was 8 euros p.p. and it was literally 3 sips because of all the ice. Personally, I find that a bit of a shame. Our table wasn't cleaned either, so we had a nice wet table. The mojito was very tasty though. The tapas looked pretty good too. But we didn't eat them ourselves.

Very bad. The only Spanish things about it are the beer and the menu. The tortilla is awful. They call it a tortilla because it's shaped like one.

This restaurant is fantastic. The food is incredibly good! The atmosphere is nice. We will definitely be back here.

When we go to Maastricht again, a visit to La Bodega is a must! Top-notch place, Quality with a capital Q!!

I count my calories daily. An app found this restaurant and calculated the calories from a photo of my plate. The shrimp skewer met my daily protein requirements well and tasted great. The place is informal and the service is efficient.

The tapas are great in terms of taste! Very tasty dishes. However, the fact that 6 slices of baguette cost 7 euros is completely ridiculous. The Sangria was also very tasty, but there was half a lemon slice, one sprig of mint, and 3 pieces of apple in a 1-liter carafe. Furthermore, a tip: order in multiple rounds because all the food arrived super fast. The tables are cramped for all the plates that are brought to the table.

Great food, the Iberico croquettes were too salty but were taken off the bill. Great service from everyone.

We ate very tasty tapas at La Bodega in Maastricht. We especially enjoyed the excellent service at La Bodega. We were here twice in one week. It was extremely hot the second time we were here; most customers chose to sit inside with the air conditioning, but we preferred to sit outside. The very friendly waitress regularly came outside to see if she could be of any assistance and gave us extra ice to keep the Sangria cool. Really super good ***** service. Next time we are in Maastricht, we will definitely come back!!!

Delicious tapas, great drinks, and a cozy atmosphere right in the heart of Maastricht. You feel like you're in an authentic Spanish tapas bar. For us, it is a celebration that takes place at least every year.

Nicely decorated little restaurant, and the staff was fine, contrary to other reviews I've read. However, the food is far below par considering the price-quality ratio. Almost 20 euros for 4 skewers of dry chicken, more than 10 euros for 4 baguette slices with a bit of tomato salsa, etc. Additionally, a huge, pungent sewer smell comes from the basement.

I don't write reviews often, but I feel that La Bodega has earned this one by now. I have been coming here for years now, and it has grown into my go-to tapas restaurant. Over the years, I have visited various tapas bars in South Limburg, but as far as I am concerned, La Bodega is absolutely among the best. The food is delicious, the menu offers a wide selection, and the quality is consistently high. Every time I visit, everything fits together perfectly: good food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. It is pleasant to sit both inside and outside. What I appreciate most is the consistency. I have never had a bad experience here or thought: “Today wasn't that good.” It is simply always good. La Bodega, thank you for being here. Keep doing what you do best!

Over the years, we have eaten tapas at many places in the Netherlands, but for us, La Bodega remains the best by far. The quality is consistently high, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Our absolute favorites are the sardines and the bread with aioli – simple perhaps, but so good that we order them again every time. To us, it really feels like a night of Spain in Maastricht. When we are in Maastricht, we usually go to La Bodega. It is cozy, the food is really delicious, and the drinks are top-notch! It is affordable and there is a lot of choice. Every time friends go to Maastricht, I recommend La Bodega.

The place is small but has an authentic “tavern atmosphere.” It’s quite simple. The variety of tapas wasn’t very extensive; they felt like the simplest options, nothing that required much time to prepare. I really enjoyed the seasonal tapa, but the rest wasn’t too special. I must say, though, the “patatas bravas” were over-fried—almost black—and the sauce tasted like it came from a can. The place isn’t pretentious; it’s simple and authentic with good service, but the food itself is not the best.

The food was delicious. The tapas we had were fantastic! We had originally booked for 6:00 PM, but we were able to arrive earlier upon request. We especially recommend the shrimp skewers and Iberian rib fingers. The service was very friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food.

A charming place, but never order the €37 per person menu; there were 20 of us, and the food was utterly meager and very monotonous. Everyone felt ripped off. For that price, you can get better value elsewhere in Maastricht. All 20 of us will never go back. Tip: order individual tapas, but the advice of all 20 is: choose a different tapas bar in Maastricht! Too bad, La Bodega, it's not what it used to be!

Disappointing experience after not being there for a few years. We waited a long time for service and then again for our first drink. We ordered the set menu for two. The cold dishes were nothing special and the portions were minimal. The hot dishes were good, but no better. This was our last time here.

Een tegenvaller na er een paar jaar niet te zijn geweest. Niet erg verzorgde dagschotel met eerst koude en daarna warme gerechtjes. Met name de koude tapas vielen erg tegen. Waarschijnlijk onze laatste keer geweest hier.

Heerlijk gelunchd, lekkere tapas en vriendelijke bediening. Vooral de coquilles waren zeer goed klaargemaakt. De hapjes kwamen gelukkig niet allemaal tegelijkertijd.

I'd prefer not to give even one star. The service here is so unfriendly and inexperienced. You make a reservation, and you're given a table in the back or a high table (for a 65-year-old woman), even though we had one. We politely asked if we could sit outside. No, that wasn't possible, because you had to specifically specify that in your reservation. You also had to specifically specify where you wanted to sit inside in your reservation. Imagine not being from Maastricht and not knowing the restaurant. Furthermore, the atmosphere was appalling: dark and no music. There was little atmosphere. We left without eating. Fortunately, we were well received elsewhere and given a decent table.

The bread aioli was pre-baked bread with garlic mayo in a paper cup. The croquettes were frozen, not homemade. The lamb chops and chicken skewers weren't great, but they were okay. It was all done very quickly. I won't be making it again.

Very disappointed this lunchtime, is there a change of cook or a new boss? Nothing has any taste, prawn carpachio with blood orange is a shame and the Russian salad is not homemade and all runny... It was definitely the last time for us, too bad
