Went here with a friend for coffee and a sandwich and it was GREAT! The food and drink were very tasty and prepared in only 5 minutes.

Atmospheric, good service and delicious meals

I went there for a dinner party where the menu was already decided. I loved the vegetarian spring rolls. They were delicious. For the main course, we had steamed rice with tofu. I didn't like the main course but I understand as the menu was already decided. We did pack a vegetarian pho, and that was really good. The mango dessert was delicious 😋 I loved it. I can recommend this restaurant for nice Vietnamese food.

pho soup is tasty and filling. i have never had such a well seasoned soup before. unfortunately the delivery time was more than an hour and a half. besides, i ordered a larger portion of the soup and paid extra for that. ultimately, I got the same amount as in the regular one (500ml).

Took my uncle here for his visit back in June, the girl who served us was really nice, but food came out very slow, i had the fried rice and was extremely disappointed. Not what I was expecting from a vietnamese restaurant my friend recommended couple of years ago. Perhaps other dishes are better. Not really worth the price for the tase imo. I do like the design of the store though, very cute, tho a bit dark

Waiting time is too long. Prices were increased, but foods are less tasty than it used to be. The most disappointing meal was grilled pork 😢

I have often eaten other dishes at La Ca Vietnamese which are really delicious. But unfortunately the banh mi wasn't very good. Actually it was nice and fresh with delicious vegetables but unfortunately the bread and sauce weren't good. But for everything else I can really recommend the restaurant.

The tofu tastes really good! The Pho is also great and rich in flavour, which is a rarity with vegan options. I always found the interior a little too dark, at least at lunchtime. But all in all, I really enjoyed going there.

We visited the previous location ( Tra bar & La Ca) lots and ordered the banh mi sandwiches with tea combo most of the times. Delicious. For us even a tidbit better than Mr. Dam, because of the bread. It's just a little bit more crispy and fresh. The beef banhmi and yuzu tea is our favorite. (I love sitting in front of the window and watch all the students and crossing people at the intersection. Takes me back to my time as a young student going to class.) Also, this place is open on mondays for lunch!

Nice friendly welcome. Incredibly delicious food with rich flavors! Also very good Vega/vegan options. Everything is fresh and homemade and you can taste that and the very committed staff. Definitely recommended!

Service is international but they do their very best to help in Dutch or English. They can advise very well on the differences in the dishes and what they recommend. That's why, as a layman in Vietnamese (and Asian) cuisine, I had a very tasty meal and a more than excellent evening. The restaurant could still use some decoration, but they said they are working hard on that! I'll be back soon.

I tried the special beef soup, excellent. The staff is helpful. The wall painting, the baskets, the wicker chairs give a Vietnamese atmosphere.

Terribly spicy food, the flavors are completely covered by the various spices, which make the dishes we ordered barely consumable... Too bad we were very curious to taste Vietnamese cuisine...

We were in a good mood, so we could laugh about the fact that it was really bad. American lady serving seemed to be the only one working very hard. In brief: - Reception (by owner?) was a bit curt. - Each time our drink orders turned out to be lost behind the bar. Sigh. - Food was really bad. Summer rolls were way too thick and quite tasteless. Fried Rice with porc was nasty: extremely salty and it didn't look like vietnamese food.

Super freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, das Essen unglaublich lecker. Ich bin des öfteren bei Vietnamesen aber keiner bereitet das essen so lecker zu wie die. Der Service sehr gut, mein sohn war der meinung, schnell an meinem Tee reißen zu müssen, mit dem Ergebniss, dass er sich leicht verbrüht hatte. Das Personal brachte sofort eine Brandwundsalbe.

Very tasty food! Traditional Vietnamese food so had delicious beef noodles. The cocktails were also unique and something different, highly recommended. Also very friendly service!

Heerlijk authentiek Vietnamees diner gegeten! Ter ere van mijn verjaardag. Zelfs op maandag open. Op de nieuwe mooie ruime locatie. Vriendelijke bediening. Lekkere bijzondere cocktails. Mmmmm “The crush man” = aanrader! Verder ook mooie feestelijke mocktails! En een heerlijke Tropical Baxbiertje. We gaan zeker de andere gerechten ook nog proberen! Vandaag had ik Currybeef: Lekker pittig!

Friendly service, tasty drinks and delicious food. We started with summer and spring rolls, summer rolls were fresh. Main course was tasty and the portion was good. Had several tasty cocktails and mocktails during dinner.

Ordered last Wednesday, because we had a number of previous good experiences and really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, we became ill because of the food we ate. We reported this by telephone the next day, but unfortunately there was no understanding or apology. The person on the phone didn't seem to understand me. A shame because we were very pleased with the restaurant and the food.

I order pho but it turned out like Thai beef soup, because the broth is darker than supposed to be.

The new location is much more spacious but has lost some of its atmosphere. Quite a long wait for a "street food", about half an hour! Service was not really present. Orders not processed in order of arrival. No one came by to check, clear away or ask anything else. Food was much better before the move, with tasty sauces and vegetables. This time it was just white dry rice instead of turmeric. My husband had rice with pork. Meat was bone dry. Tasteless steamed broccoli and cauliflower as vegetables (from the freezer perhaps?) without salt, herbs or sauce, etc. Vietnamese food with broccoli and cauliflower?!! Come on people! You can do better! Pity!! The quantity was okay.

Quality of the food deteriorated enormously after the move. We always enjoyed coming here and found the food delicious. Unfortunately, the recipe seems to have been adjusted after the move. The fried noodles (see photo) are more like noodles and lack flavor. The noodle soup offered instead is also no longer tasty. Pity! Friendly service, excellent wine, but we don't come here for the food anymore.

Genuinely one of the best meals I've ever had. Couldn't praise this enough.

Pho broth is good, but I don't like the sweet pumpkin spice-like tofu in the vegetarian pho. The combination tastes off. Pho also needs more basil

We were a group of six people. I was excited more than the host to make my parents try Pho for the first time. The host was so rude, I never saw anything like that in my life. We paid so much money and they treated us like we don’t deserve anything as a customer. First of all, the first dishes and side dishes are tiny, it should cost half as much. Some veggies and a little bit of chicken. For the pho, it was basic, we got it cold and when my father asked to warm the soup, the host yelled at him (!) saying he waited too long. Afterward, I asked for some hoisin sauces, or soy, like in all the traditional places, to add some flavor, the host was also very rude saying they don’t give that. Sounded like she was just cheap. When we asked for tap water they said they don’t serve it. I would summarise it by saying that this restaurant costs much, but for its customers, they are cheap and rude. Definitely nothing authentic about that place. You should visit Pho 91 in Amsterdam to learn what is a real Vietnamese place next time. But for Groningen people, try the Saigon pho, I bet it will be better. One nice thing to say is that the other waitress was extremely nice to us, giving our dogs water in a bowl (dogs get free tap water but people don't apparently) - so my tip for the restaurant, be nicer to your customers, respect elders people and don’t yell at them, and stop being cheap. We will never come back there!

Heerlijk eten en lekkere drankjes, gezellig sfeer. Je eet hier nog voor onder de € 25,- pp. Dat is tegenwoordig bijzonder en voor dit lekkere eten echt een feestje!

Prima traditionele Vietnamese gerechten. Vond zelf de porties een beetje klein in verhouding met de prijs. Smaken waren goed.

Very good vietnamese restaurant with a lot of vegan/vegetarian options. If you eat gluten-free is better to ask! We shared the summer rolls and I had the Pho with tofu and vegetables. Just a bit more expensive than other places, but very tasty!

Had we known they are not serving alcoholic beverages (don't ask, stupid regulations), we would have skipped this place. But we would also have missed a very enjoyable dinner.

Amazing restaurant! The attendants were welcoming, and the place was really cozy. I ordered the Pho. It was impeccable.

We zitten nog in het restaurant, maar we konden niet wachten om een goede beoordeling te geven aan dit restaurant. De bediening is vriendelijk, er heerst een gezellige sfeer en het eten was verrukkelijk. Absoluut een aanrader.

Nothing but good things for this restaurant! I had the pho with beef and some drinks, I'll confess Ive never had Vietnamese food before but I really loved it. The staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable even as I was eating alone. It's the perfect place for a healthy lunch and trying out new things.

I love this place! Many gluten-free AND vegan options. The staff is prepared and ready to help. They have delicious dinner options both for hot summer and cozy winter days. They don't serve alcoholic drinks, but their mocktails (especially the Lichees drink) are very nice.

We hadden de lunch special gehaald. Het was prima eten, maar niet voldoende voor de prijsstelling van 18 euro. Persoonlijk zou ik voor een dergelijke maaltijd max 10 a 12 euro rekenen. Dus prima eten, maar te duur in de markt gezet.

Ik eet hier vaak. Altijd lekker. Ook de zelfgemaakt drankjes. Een aanrader is de lemon grass fried noodles

Delicious Vietnamese food in Groningen. The environment is comfortable too. Definitely worth-trying.

Sehr gutes vietnamesisches Essen. Sehr nette Bedienung, zuvorkommend und sehr informiert über Nahrungsmittel-Unverträglichkeiten. Haben zu Abend gegessen und würden wieder kommen.

Ganz tolle authentische Küche.. Bis auf den Eisbergsalat in der Pho war alles 100 % Vietnam.Preise sind ganz leicht angehoben, aber die Atmosphäre und die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung machen das alles wieder wett!

Freundliche Bedienung, Asia-Food mit gefühlt durchschnittlichem Geschmack. Tische klebrig. Mehr Sauberkeit wäre nötig. Sonst ganz netter Blick auf das Treiben in der Innenstadt.

Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und das Personal war nett. Das Essen sah lecker aus, aber hat recht fade geschmeckt. Hatten 3 verschiedene Gerichte und unsere Bewertungen waren alle gleich

2 Frühlingsrollen, Curry Reis, Gemüse und Hähnchen Fleisch mit Getränk 18€ . Gemüse war jetzt nicht so meins, aber alles andere war sehr lecker 👍👍👍

The first time I went there I wasn't too positive about the place. But been there a few times now and need to correct my 3 star rating. The soup is my favorite.

Great atmosphere, nice food!! What's unacceptable is charging 0.50€ for tap water. This is NOT Hospitality. It's not about the money.

Heerlijk eten, hartelijke bediening, goede prijs. Vers bereid eten, fijne sfeer. Ik zou zeggen gewoon gaan, het ligt centraal!
