Visited today and got told off by staff! They claimed they would not serve me because there was a big organized group already there (more than half of tables were empty!). I have never experienced anything like that before!

La Cubanita is an affordable all-you-can-eat tapas restaurant with budget-friendly cocktails. The quality reflects the price. Most dishes are edible, but if you're used to fresh, healthy food made from scratch and free of MSG it is not your place. The name suggests Cuban cuisine, however it is rather a lower quality Spanish restaurant. The Cuban theme is minimally represented, with nachos, a taco option and mojito.

Update: asked to contact la cubanita regarding the review, I sent an email, but never received a response. Another confirmation that I won't be coming here anymore! My experience at La Cubanita Den Haag was extremely disappointing. Even though I had made a reservation at half past six and were there on time, a large group of noisy friends of one of the waitresses who came in later were given priority over everything. While we had to wait half an hour before our order was taken and we could order online ourselves, people who came in later were helped earlier. The noise from the group of friends made it impossible to have a conversation with my friend. Although the orders arrived fairly quickly, I was told at half past seven that the drink I wanted was no longer available and no more mocktails, while the evening was still young. Around 7am one of the employees even started rushing us with the comment "Is it okay with time?". It was very clear that priority was given to one of the waitresses' own group of friends, which gave a feeling of unfairness. The noisy group of friends not only disrupted our evening, but also made it impossible to enjoy a relaxing dinner. The disappointing experience was further compounded by the lack of communication upon arrival and the late activation of our order process. All in all I didn't feel welcome at all. The group of friends behaved excessively loudly, laughing and singing, ruining the atmosphere for other guests. Temperature in the restaurant was also too hot. This, together with the poor service, means that I will not visit La Cubanita The Hague again. My friend left with a headache due to the mix of noise and heat. Previous experiences at locations such as in Zoetermeer were of a completely different nature. Update: following the review, we were asked to contact you by email. I have now done this, but never received a response. Yet another reason that I will not return to this location.

Spontaneously walked in yesterday. Friendly young man who explained everything to us and brought bread with aioli. The food was actually delicious though. Not much to complain about, delivered quickly even though it was still quite busy. A little tip: clean the rear windows once, they looked dirty.

RECTIFICATION Today Tuesday September 3, a wonderful day in The Hague. how nice to end it with a dinner at our beloved cubanita. just look for where it was... we entered the almost empty cubanita around 6.15 pm. We were asked by a young man if he could help us... would like a table for 3 if possible. Unfortunately, we don't have room was the answer. We thought it was a joke, but no, there wasn't a single seat left. Then keep looking, it could happen, we thought. We went back to the center and had a delicious meal elsewhere. On the way back to the car at 7.45 pm we walked past Cubanita again. Let's see how busy it really was... to our surprise the restaurant was still more than half empty. What a disappointment to be helped and sent away like that. No cubanita for us for a while, but one loss of illusion. I don't think hospitality is on the menu. I HAVE MEANWEEN APPROACHED AND RECEIVED AN EXPLANATION AND AN APOLOGY. CAUSE: STAFF SHORTAGE. now more understanding from my side

Food is tasty, but the staff would rather look at the phone than serve the drinks.

Yesterday was my birthday and my first birthday was at 6 p.m. 15 reserved due to circumstances I could not make it. Was able to move it to 7.15pm without any problem. We were 15 minutes late, this was no problem. We were 6 people including a few fussy peeters. Everyone had a delicious meal. Not a single dish was disappointing in our opinion. And what a nice and friendly host. Everything was on the table super quickly. Just real and so wonderful and cozy. It was really the icing on the cake for a successful birthday!!!! Thank you very much and we will definitely be back!!!!

It is very warm here and the tables are dirty, the staff do not wear work clothes but in normal shirts.

Some of the reviews here are really wrong. I understand that when it's busy you have to wait a while and the fact that the dishes don't come together isn't the end of the world. The fact is that this is just a nice place with hardworking people in the service and in the kitchen... We had a DELICIOUS meal there and had very friendly service. So definitely recommended if you are in The Hague and want to eat delicious tapas

Had dinner here last night with a group of 7 people. Tasty little snacks. We had to ask a few times to clear the dirt from the table. The last time we ate there was better

We were there last Saturday evening and we were kindly helped and allowed to choose a spot. There were tables that were not cleared and a group of young people making noise. People have even left because of the nuisance caused by the group and no one from the business has spoken to the group. The place itself upon entering does not look welcoming either. Could use a renovation.

Ate at la cubanita today and never again. I've been in bed for a few hours with vomiting and stomach ache. I should have said something at that point, since they just served old cucumber/tomatoes (vegetables). We had left a lot of things behind, no one asked about them when we cleared the table. I was last at la cubanita years ago and it was great! Now it seems like everything comes out of the microwave. And no, I will not email, and no, I do not want my money back. I just want to warn people. I hope my stomach ache will be gone by tomorrow.

Great restaurant and fast service.

They always ask do you want bread at the beginning but it is never given. You still have to order it yourself in the app. Service didn't give much chance to eat everything. took everything away quickly. Upon receipt, the boy looked unkempt with greasy long hair. Luckily he only did the drinks.

It looks like a glorified snack bar, a lot of fries and some things are not in stock. Noticeably frozen food. Melon not fresh. There are tasty dishes available, but far too few in my opinion. Cocktails are tasty. Too expensive for the quality. Staff completely fine, that's not the problem.

Ate there yesterday, I ate a lot of shrimp, these were spoiled, the next day I had severe diarrhea and stomach ache. I am very ill

Very bad. Had to wait an hour for a drink and then an hour for the food. If you ask, you will only be told how busy it all is and probably forgotten. You are literally sitting in bird droppings on the terrace. See photo. Waiter was supposed to come and take drinks for the first round, never saw that. Entire table filled with plates that they never come to collect. Ordered cheese croquettes, got chorizo ​​- what if someone was allergic or eats vegetarian? Everything happens in a very special way. Nobody tries their best, or at least that's how it comes across. Why are you taking so many reservations if you don't have the manpower. Worthless. To avoid.

We ate here with some friends 2 months ago, but unfortunately not again anytime soon... The food was reasonable but the service was very poor... First of all, in a restaurant you normally ensure that all guests are fed at the same time... unfortunately my cold starter, which was the same as my partner's, took half an hour longer!! Then asked about it and they just forgot. Unfortunately this has happened several times. At a certain point in the evening we ran out of bacon, dishes with bacon could still be ordered via the tablet, but were simply not served without any communication. I inquired again and it turned out that the bacon was gone... At a certain point, 3 people ordered melon with ham at the same time, received 2 portions and the 3rd portion then took 50 minutes before it was served... A chicken dish that was served was not even cooked and we immediately sent it back to the kitchen, unfortunately a day later we were sick... And 2 other hot dishes were ice cold when they were delivered It was very unfortunate about our experience with la Cubanita

Tasty tappas & served quite quickly and hot. Friendly and hardworking staff! Cocktails and Virgin Cocktails at attractive prices. If you don't eat pork/shellfish, you will have significantly less choice. The desserts could be a bit more spectacular.

Sat next to a very large noisy group, which did not improve the atmosphere. No more Fridays for me, I'd rather come back when it's a bit quieter. Unfortunately, new dishes on the menu were a bit disappointing, but the classics were good as always. The consistency varies quite a bit, if you bring a dish back again, the differences are clearly noticeable.

Been there 4 times already. The food certainly does not disappoint me. There is so much choice that there is something for everyone. It's nice that you can try everything. The way to order is also super convenient via your telephone and easy to use. Luckily I've never had to wait too long for my food. The atmosphere is good and the restaurant is very nicely decorated, but when a large group is present it can be very noisy. You have to be able to cope with this as you are sitting quite close to each other.

We had dinner at La Cubanita in Den Haag, nice atmosphere and interior design in the restaurant, they offer you can eat concept, with drinks or without drinks, there are many choices, meat, seafood , veggies, most of the dishes we ordered are delicious, the serving speed is good, stuff is also friendly. 35 euro eat all you can, good selection of food pretty tasty. Nothing oit of this world but worth a visit.

Delicious food! For my girlfriend's birthday we opted for the all in one package. Staff were friendly and helpful, had a lot of laughs tonight! It's a shame that the Spanish burgers are no longer on the menu. For the rest the experience was excellent as usual.

La Cubanita: An Experience Full of Mixed Feelings On a special birthday, six ladies decided to go out for dinner at La Cubanita. The restaurant offered an extensive menu with a variety of tapas, fish, meat and vegetarian options. To eat: The food was generally okay, although not extremely impressive. The presentation of the tapas dishes, especially the vitello tonato (see attached photo), left much to be desired and was mediocre, if not attractive. Service: The biggest stumbling block was the service. The dishes were placed on the table without any explanation, almost thrown, and no eye contact was made or said 'enjoy the meal'. The lack of attention and friendliness was striking. The slowness in serving drinks, such as the Sangria that was on the bar but took a long time to be served, was also disappointing. The fact that we had to get our drinks from the bar ourselves was downright annoying. Furthermore, new dishes were placed on the table while there were still empty, dirty plates from previous rounds, which greatly diminished the overall experience (see attached photo). Drinks: The fact that everything included drinks brought another disappointment. The white wine served was more like water than a refreshing drink. The glasses of wine had hardly any flavor at all, which detracted from the overall experience. Ambience: Even the ambiance couldn't completely turn the tide. Although there were plenty of choices on the menu, the overall atmosphere was not exactly pleasant. The disappointments in service and taste of drinks weighed heavily on the already mediocre ambiance. In summary, if you are looking for a place where variety and quantity are more important than presentation, service and ambiance, La Cubanita could be a suitable choice. However, for a more refined experience, attention to detail, tasty drinks and a cozy ambiance, you should look elsewhere.

La Cubanita: Een Ervaring vol Gemengde Gevoelens Op een speciale verjaardag besloten we met zes dames uit eten te gaan bij La Cubanita. Het restaurant bood een uitgebreide menukaart met variatie in tapas, vis, vlees en vegetarische opties. Eten: Het eten was over het algemeen oké, hoewel niet buitengewoon indrukwekkend. De presentatie van de tapas gerechten, vooral de vitello tonato (zie bijgevoegde foto), liet te wensen over en was matig, zo niet aantrekkelijk. Service: Het grootste struikelblok was de service. De gerechten werden zonder enige uitleg op tafel gezet, bijna gesmeten, en er werd geen oogcontact gemaakt of eetsmakelijk gezegd. Het gebrek aan aandacht en vriendelijkheid was opvallend. Ook de traagheid bij het serveren van drankjes, zoals de Sangria die op de bar stond maar lang op zich liet wachten, was teleurstellend. Het feit dat we zelf onze drankjes van de bar moesten halen, was ronduit vervelend. Bovendien werden nieuwe gerechten op tafel gezet terwijl er nog lege, vuile borden van vorige rondes lagen, wat de algehele beleving sterk verminderde (zie bijgevoegde foto). Drankjes: Het feit dat alles inclusief drankjes was, bracht een nieuwe teleurstelling met zich mee. De witte wijn die geserveerd werd, leek eerder op water dan op een verfrissende drank. De glazen wijn hadden nauwelijks smaak, wat afbreuk deed aan de algehele ervaring. Ambiance: Zelfs de ambiance kon niet volledig het tij keren. Hoewel er voldoende keuzemogelijkheden op het menu waren, was de algehele sfeer niet bepaald plezierig. De teleurstellingen in service en smaak van drankjes wogen zwaar op de toch al matige ambiance. In samenvatting, als je op zoek bent naar een plek waar variatie en hoeveelheid belangrijker zijn dan presentatie, service en ambiance, kan La Cubanita een geschikte keuze zijn. Voor een meer verfijnde ervaring, aandacht voor detail, smaakvolle drankjes en een gezellige ambiance zou je echter elders moeten kijken.

Cuban tapas place in one of The Hague's most beautiful shopping streets. They offer arrangements for a 2.5 hour timeframe where you can order continuous rounds of tapas dishes via a QR code and then menu on your phone You have an arrangement with and without unlimited drinks. We were with 3 people and chose without. We could order 6 dishes per round with about 10 minutes in between each round. The tapas were nice. There is a lot of choice. I especially like the grilled bell peppers, mushrooms, meatballs and the cuban fries with pulled stewed pork meat and red peppers 🌶️. There is surely something for everyone to like and I think the price is giving good value for money. The place looks okay. A little bit dated in terms of the wall paint colors, menu cards, tables and chairs which downgrades the interior atmosphere. Those things could use a refresher in my opinion. It's not very cosy now. The staff was very friendly. We will come back.

Huge selection of different tappas, as an all-you-can-eat service with ordering via your own cell phone. Service was top, even if it took a while until the first tappas came to our table. After that it went quickly and you never really had to wait any longer until your order was at the table.

Service was prima alsmede de sfeer, maar het laatste komt voornamelijk door mijn gezelschap. Het eten is, mwah, niet uitzonderlijk lekker, eentje zelfs bah, maar de toetjes waren heerlijk, vandaar de 3 ster.

Het eten was heel erg lekker, er waren ook heel veel opties, dus voor ieder wat. De porties zijn ook best klein, waardoor je veel verschillende dingen kan proeven. Ik heb all you can eat gedaan en dan kan je elke 10min ongeveer 2 gerechten bestellen, maar de tijd vliegt voorbij en wanneer je je eten krijgt kun je al de volgende bestellen. Het eten kwam snel, goede service! Het is niet heel groot, maar de sfeer (vooral in de avond) is heel leuk en gezellig. Leuke muziek en versiering. Aanrader ook als je met grotere groepen gaat.

Verwarming deed het niet, stervend koud. Eten duurde lang en smaakte alsof het uit de magnetron kwam. Er was geen sfeer en Verder aangegeven dat er iemand jarig was maar verder niks van gehoord, niet eens een kaarsje bij het toetje. Teleurstellend want had goede verhalen gehoord

Great place to meet with friends after close of business.

Was die dag erg druk, maar duurde erg lang voordat de bestellingen door kwamen. Eten was goed, alleen doordat het lang duurde, de derde ronde kwam eerder dan de eerste, weet je niet meer wat je besteld hebt. Er zat een drukke groep binnen en dat is gezellig, maar je kan dan zelf niet meer normaal met elkaar praten.

Erg onhygiënische manier van werken in de keuken zoals het niet dragen van handschoenen om het eten op bordjes te doen. Eens maar nooit meer.

Eten was prima alleen vonden wij de.porties voor tapas erg groot. Bediening was vriendelijk maar we moesten wel vragen of ze de tafel af wilde ruimen terwijl zij zelf meerdere keren langs liepen met legen handen in 2 uur 4 rondes gedaan en 2 toetjes rondes . Het was vanavond jiet heel erg druk en er waren nog een heleboel plaatsen leeg We gingen wel met volle buik weg🤣

Bij wat grotere drukte kan het personeel het niet bijbenen. Elke ronde duurt ongeveer 25-30 minuten voor je je eten en/of drinken krijgt. De kwaliteit van het eten is hierbij ook behoorlijk slecht. Jammer.

Previous weekend we had the spontaneous idea to dine at La Cubanita. We were in the mood for simple tapas for a reasonable price - where else would you go. At least we thought. Since we reserved only a couple of hours in advance the only option was 19:45. However, when we got there we were told our table was not ready yet, and we could take a seat at the bar. Not a problem. However, we needed to wait for 25 minutes which normally wouldn't have been a problem but no one gave us an eye and weren't even asked if we wanted something to drink. Moods therefore sunk and we finally got our table. However, we got seated directly next to the kitchen which meant that we barely could hear each other as the kitchen blasted bass-heavy dance music. We asked if it could be turned down but they turned it back up again aver 30 minutes. The food in general was OK for La Cubanita standards, it's just simple Dutch interpreted tapas which taste fine. However, because we had a late reservation, we saw that numerous items disappeared on the tablet, and also the portions became drastically smaller as the night passed by. We were told this was because they don't know how much of each stuff is needed for each night so they won't risk stocking too much of each ingredient. Well... We complained as we felt that it's not fair if we pay the same price but with 20% less items on the menu (some of which we knew we wanted in advance and made us decide to go to this restaurant in the first place). However, the (seemingly very stressed out) manager told us they couldn't simply adjust the menu prices. She did take some drinks off of our tab, which was a nice gesture nonetheless. Overall not the experienced we had hoped for in a Cubanita restaurant, the franchise in Voorburg is much better in our opinion. Not sure if we're returning to this particular location again.

Tja, la Cubanita van weleer is verworden tot een vreetschuur. Niets ten nadele van de bediening of het management, dat was allemaal goed geregeld. Vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Het eten is echter een fastfood experience, prima voor een doelgroep, maar enige exclusiviteit ontbreekt helaas.
