My favorite restaurant in Emmen. But tonight it just wasn't quite right. Many dishes were overcooked and hard. Tasted a bit burnt. Chicken skewers with burnt bits and charred skewers. Breaded dishes too hard. No, tonight I didn't get what I'm used to. It felt like new people were in the kitchen. I'll stay loyal to my favorite, but tonight it just wasn't quite right. See you soon!

I visit this tapas restaurant quite often, but this is truly the absolute best tapas restaurant I have ever been to. The staff is outstanding, the food is perfect, and the atmosphere is also nice, just like in Cuba itself. I would definitely go here at least once!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

We visited La Cubanita in Emmen for the first time. It was very nice that we could sit outside. Friendly service, the tapas were very nicely seasoned. We had drinks included. Very easy to order via the app. We would love to come again 😀.

Had a nice meal, but very unfriendly service. Booked from 17:15 to 19:30. At 19:06, we were already informed that it was the 'last round'. That feels very rushed, especially when you still have over 20 minutes to wait. When we indicated that we were not pleased with this, we couldn't even manage an apology. An uninterested "OK" was all we got. A missed opportunity, because the food was fine and the kitchen clearly works hard. However, the wait staff here still has a lot to learn about hospitality and customer friendliness.

Had a tasty meal for a great price. Nice concept, ordering a maximum of 2 dishes per person at a time. I must say, though, that I find it a shame you have to order with your mobile phone. I liked the coasters on the table better!

The food at this La Cubanita branch was very disappointing. The food was lukewarm, sometimes cold, and not tasty. We visited other branches and the quality of the food there was better. The service from the waitresses was fine. Too bad.

I think the food there is always delicious. The only thing I find a pity are the prices for children, which prevents us from going there with the kids. You pay €24.50 for ages 4 to 11, while my 4-year-old son doesn't even have two drinks, just one portion of fries and a few chicken pieces. I would rather suggest a price per year of age.

I made a reservation at La Cubanita Emmen for 6 people at 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, two of us fell ill, and I wanted to adjust/report the number of people as soon as possible. I used the link in the reservation email for this. I manually changed the number to 4, but apparently, while six of us could be seated at 5:00 PM, the four of us couldn't. The time was also automatically adjusted to 7:45 PM. Of course, I never counted on this, because why would you be unable to get a table with fewer people?!?! So, out of kindness, I adjusted the number of people and was subsequently punished for it! Once at the restaurant at 5:00 PM, there was no longer any room for us, and they were unable to show any kindness. We were told to leave and come back later... well, I certainly didn't think so! It was supposed to be the first time we ate here, but that first time doesn't have to happen at all!

Very disappointing experience. We had made a reservation for 6 people at 5:00 PM. Because 2 people had fallen ill, we politely informed them in advance that we would be coming with 4 people. Upon arrival, it turned out our reservation had been moved to 7:45 PM. So, we stood at the restaurant for nothing. What was most disappointing was the way this was handled. No apologies were offered, and as a solution, we were told that we should just file a complaint with head office. Precisely because we had honestly and promptly informed them that fewer people were coming, we had expected different treatment. For us, it was a very negative experience. If we hadn't said anything, our appointment would have simply gone ahead.

Friendly welcome. Service was very quick and the girls are enthusiastic. The food was delicious. Plenty of choice and nice and hot. For dessert, you get "Cigarro cubano". A Cuban cigar with pastry cream and Oreo crumble served in an ashtray. We couldn't stop laughing 🤣🤣 Highly recommended!!

We've been coming here for years and it's always good. The concept simply remains top-notch. And it's nice that the menu is just slightly different every time, yet the firm favorites remain. It's also great that desserts are now included and that drinks are included on weekdays as well. The food arrives quickly, and thanks to the smaller portions, you can still try a lot from the menu.

I'm speechless. I've been trying to reach La Cubanita Emmen by phone all week. No one's answering. The time slot I wanted for two people wasn't available on the website, but it was for five. So I checked it and added a description that we'd be coming with two people. I received a confirmation email and an hour and a half later, a reminder to remember our reservation. Today, around 5 p.m., I received a call telling me they were going to give our table to a group of five. When I told them I wasn't happy with this, they ignored me because they were giving it to her from her boss. When I told them I'd been trying to call all week, they said they couldn't answer because there were guests. They told me to call from 2 p.m., and when I told them I'd called from 3 p.m. yesterday, they suddenly weren't working. We're big fans of La Cubanita, but this has left a bad taste in our mouths. A complaint has been sent to the head office.

You can eat really well here! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy, and the music is perfect! In my opinion, the price-quality ratio is excellent. Every dish is a surprise. It might happen that sometimes a dish doesn't look or taste quite as you expected, but then you simply order something else. We'll definitely be back!

When our ordering system crashed, we had to wait for it to work again; no one bothered to look into the cause!! We had to fix it ourselves🤷🏼‍♀️. All in all, it took a long time, even before we got our drinks... The food was downright bad!! The fried snacks had barely seen any grease, and much tasted the same... In general, the menu is boring and offers little to no surprises!! We think the dessert tarts came from a supermarket, and the meringue on the lemon tart was still runny and not brown at all!! We don't think there's a "real" chef there... We've had better meals here in the past, with much more variety and flavor on the menu!! We won't be returning!!

They can't handle busy times. When you have a complaint, it's not resolved, just brushed aside. The service and food don't improve after the complaint. When you express dissatisfaction at checkout, nothing is done. Complaints via email are also dismissed and completely ignored. They then claim that things can go wrong when it's busy and that other people are understanding. They look at all the tapas you ordered via the QR code, not the ones you DIDN'T receive or anything that went wrong with the table you're at. When you email photos of a smashed burger that's literally crushed and has hair on it, they simply say you should have reported it so they could have fixed it, even though you'd already complained before, and nothing was done about it. They completely fail to understand why you didn't complain again. Two children waiting over an hour for sliced ​​melon. Tables weren't cleared (if you were sitting outside), giving wasps free rein. A bread basket was requested when ordering your first drink, and then you had to ask for it yourself after two tapas had already been served (we had a table of seven people). All in all, a very poor experience, and neither the restaurant nor the head office took complaints seriously.

You order via an app on your smartphone. Around 6:30 PM, the restaurant was well-filled, but the service was prompt and courteous. You can park on the main road in front of the restaurant; with a bit of luck, there's still a spot. Parking is definitely available around 8 PM.

The food was okay. One comment about the underfilled Borek. It wasn't taken seriously. The answer was, "You can't like everything." Therefore, one star off. The friendly staff takes these kinds of comments seriously, takes them to heart, and addresses them. The music was very loud.

It's clear that they've been working on improvements, both in the kitchen and the service. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. We really enjoyed our evening and would like to compliment the restaurant on this positive turnaround. It's great to see that feedback is being listened to. We will definitely be back!

This afternoon we made a reservation for 4 people. We called them twice more because a person who has difficulty walking and we wanted to sit by the benches. Unfortunately this was no longer possible so we asked for a spot in the corner where a wheelchair could possibly be placed. We had just sat down, which was already difficult enough for the person who has difficulty walking, when a waitress came to us that she had spoken to us on the phone and that there was a table by the bench available and that we could still sit there if we wanted to. We really liked this so we went there (another extra effort, but for a nice spot). Another waitress with dark hair came to us and said that we could not sit there, in a way that we had gone to another place of our own accord. She was very rude to us. A group of 5 was coming. We went back to the other table anyway, but our fun was already gone. The other waitress felt very bad for us and tried to solve it with a drink on the house. To our surprise, a family of 4 who had made a reservation at the last minute ended up sitting there. When paying, we still indicated that we found this a shame and that they had let someone who had difficulty walking walk back and forth a few times and that they had then seated another group of 4. The waitress with dark hair was rude again and only had excuses. A simple sorry, we should have done this differently, would have sufficed. But not wanting to admit that she had made a mistake was not an option. We will not be coming back here. It is a great shame that they treat people who have difficulty walking this way. Food was delicious and well prepared tapas were tasty and sufficient per time ordering is done via a smartphone that had to get used to but ordered a few times it went smoothly and in no time the new tapas were ready again. Employees were very social and neat after an order they quickly came to get the dishes so the table was always quickly empty again and you can park for free in front of the door and then it is only a short walk.

Nice and quaint place. It's rather small but that's part of its appeal. The decor is well thought of and fits the theme quite nicely. Food can be ordered every ten minutes, with two dishes allowed per person. Drinks can be ordered without limit, although you do have to pay for drinks. The only con, I think, is that you have to either use your personal mobile phone to be able to order using a website (which functions much like an app) or by writing on paper.

Food is very greasy. Dishes with meat are hard to find. But for nachos, for example, you get half an oven tray. For someone who often goes to tapas, I would say not recommended. Menu is also very limited if you don't like fish

One of my favorite places to eat out without kids. Children are of course welcome, but there is no play area or space. A very cozy and delicious restaurant! The atmosphere is good, the staff is friendly, the food is tasty and the cocktails are also great :) My favorite here are the fried chicken pieces in honey sauce, really delicious! Some days they are a bit sparing with the sauce (which is what makes the chicken so tasty), but usually there is enough that I keep ordering it every round. Asking for extra syrup in the cocktail (I like a sweet cocktail) is answered with a smile and friendly service! I have been here many times and I will definitely go here again!
